#HeartTransformation

“See, that's why it's important that you don't just change your vocabulary. You have to change your heart as well. Your heart has to change because when God can change your heart, that's when he changes inside you, and he changes what will come out of you. You fill your heart with the word of God when you don't need it, so it'll fill your mouth when you do. Amen? So when you come up against those situations, you speak the word. You speak those declarations in your life. And you speak them in the middle of the storms. You declare God's word in the middle of your storm.”

#TruthOverFacts

“Don't ignore the facts. I I I understand facts. Don't ignore the facts. Don't ignore. But refuse to allow the facts to make me forget the truth of God's word. Don't don't don't allow that fact to speak louder than the truth. The fact does not override truth. The truth is what sets you free. I can sit here and give you so many examples, but I don't need to give you my examples. Just look into your life, and you can see what the world says was fact, but then the light will shine on it. Jesus Christ and the truth that came. That's the truth. That's the truth.”

#BeAGodlyChannel

“So as soon as I do that, now I can allow him to what? Pour his spirit out. See, we have the spirit of God, but do we allow him to continue to pour into our life? It is something that we have to do all the time and allow him. Look at this. A cup that only receives and never pours out becomes a container, not a channel. We are here to be a channel of God.”

#CarryEachOthersBurdens

“I've had burdens in my life just like every single one of you have had burdens in your life. But right here, we see that if you have that selfish person behind you, they're they're gonna say, well, that's your burden to carry. You carry it. you need the person behind you that's gonna help carry that burden with you. Think about Moses. Moses, he got he got tired. His arms got tired, but he had someone to support him. He had guys on the left and the right to hold up his arms. I mean, there's other guys in the Bible and women in the Bible that we see that they supported. They supported the people.”

#WalkByFaith

“Get out of the boat. Peter got out of the boat. He got out of the boat and he started walking on what? word. Some of you are like, The my bible says he walked on water. Are we walking by sight or we walking by faith? See, sight says, yes, he walked on water. That that wasn't nothing. All we have to do is walk on the word. The word was what? Come. As soon as Peter started walking on the word, which was come, he was coming. It didn't matter if it was water, if it was fire, if it was glass. It didn't matter what would it was.”

#GodsWordNeverFails

“Because you know what God's word says about you, but what is it? How long is it gonna take for you to get to what he said about you, what you found out in the word of God till all of a sudden the manifestation comes boom. And you're like walking in it. You're like, yeah. This is what he's talking about. And sometimes it can take years. But the thing is is you gotta recognize that God's word will not return void. It will do what it set out to do. It is his word is truth, and everything else is a lie.”

#InsideOutChoices

“You can't determine who's gonna bump into you. You can't determine what life's gonna do. But you do determine what comes out of you. It's so easy. It is so easy for for us to say those little things. Why did you spill the coffee? Well, because someone bumped into me. whatever is inside the cup is what will spill out.”

#WalkItByFaith

“That's commitment. That's true commitment. That's like, alright. We're doing it, and we walk it. How are we walking it? We're walking it by faith, not by sight. Because my sight sees water. Because it's not wine yet, it didn't be turned wine until the master had it in his hand. That's true obedience. there there true obedience comes through what? Admitting you need Jesus. Submitting to him. Omitting the things you don't need in your life and committing it.”

#ObeyTheNextStep

“Isaiah fifty five eight through nine talks about, I don't have to understand what the author is writing in order to obey the next instruction. You you don't gotta know the next sentence. You just gotta know the next step. And you gotta remember that. Obedience doesn't produce the power. Obedience doesn't produce the power. Obedience positions me to participate in what Jesus is doing. I get to participate in what Jesus is doing. And what Jesus is doing is a great thing.”

#SinPromisesFreedom

“Or I'll live I'll live however I want. I I've heard that before. Well, how that's how's that gonna work out for you? It sounds fun. It sounds free. It sounds liberating. Right? But let's go back to Matthew seven thirteen. Broad is the way that leads to what? Destruction. So those statements that I said, that that's a broad way, and it shows us that it will truly lead to destruction. It starts wide. It starts wide, but it ends in bondage. Sin will always promise freedom before revealing the chains. You'll you'll feel like it's free. You'll feel like then here comes that chain.”

#RepentanceIsWelcome

“``Repentance isn't God standing there saying, look what you did. He's not saying that. Repentance is God saying, come back to me. Remember the prodigal son? Went off. The father just stood there, opens arm, ready to receive him. Got a ring, got the shoes, throwing him, I have a calf already ready there for him. Why? Again, Romans eight one, therefore there is no combination through Christ Jesus. He's not here to condemn you. He's here to love you. Condemnation says, run from God. Hide from God. Turn your back on God. Conviction says, come back to God. Conviction is a good thing. Condemnation says, you're finished. Remember? You're finished. You're finished. This this relationship's finished. This this body is finished. This whatever is finished. Oh, oh, oh. This world is finished. Our government is whatever is finished. Well, if it's finished, at the same time, Satan has come to what? John ten ten. Satan comes to steal, kill, and destroy. He's here to finish it. No. But Jesus said, I've come so you can have life and life more abundantly. Condemnation says you're finished. Conviction says, this isn't who you are. This isn't who you are. Turn around.”

#PeaceInTheStorm

“``Why do you think he was in the bottom of the boat resting? It's because peace isn't determined by what is happening around you. Peace is determined by who is in you, who is with you. See, Jesus was in the boat with them. The disciples had no reason to fear and be terrified because Jesus was in the boat with them. The same with us. If you're a believer Jesus is inside of you, so you have no reason to fear and worry about the situations that are going on. You should remain in that peace that Jesus is with you. Because if Jesus can sleep in the middle of the storm, I believe he was trying to teach them that they should be resting too.”

#NarrowWayRelationship

“``See, many people hear the word narrow. You know, you're you're I'm sitting there with Jesus, and he's sitting there. Hey, man. You you hear the word narrow, and you might be immediately thinking God is trying to take something away from you. Well, the only thing I'm here to take away from you, Jesus says, is sickness, destruction. I'm here to take addiction. I'm here to take sorrow. I'm here to take the pain. I'm here to take the burden. I'm I'm here I'm I'm here to take that. He's not trying to take something away from me, he's saying the narrow way isn't about a restriction. Oh, you can't do this. You can't it's not about restriction. It's about relationship.”

#WalkOnTheWord

“``All he had to do remember, I am the way, the truth, and the life. So here's the key. Yes. Peter did not walk on water. Peter walked on the word. He walked on the word. Why can I say he walked on the word? Why am I saying he didn't walk on water? Why? Because the water could not hold him. Water cannot hold him. His faith in himself, it couldn't even hold him either because we keep reading, we see him go down. The boat couldn't even save him because they thought they were all going down, but the word of Jesus held him.”

#NarrowIsRelationship

“I want you all to remember this. The narrow way is not a road. It's a relationship. It's a relationship. See, it's easy to get on a road by yourself. It's easy to take a stroll all by yourself, but the narrow way is a relationship. The narrow way is not a map. I just do this, that, and the other. I just stay on this. No. The narrow way is not a map. It's a man. It's a man. The narrow way is not a destination. It's a daily walk. It's a daily walk because Jesus never said, find the path. Remember? He didn't say find the path. He simply said, follow me. Follow me.”

#GraceOverGravity

“``And what I love about this is, you know, scientists will try to say, well, gravity pulls things downwards. Right? But in this instance, grace pulls upward. Gravity will say sink, but grace says rise. And aren't we saved by grace through faith? Amen? We were once dead and now we rise again. Gravity says it's impossible, but grace says all things are possible. Amen? So whatever situation you brought here today in this service, God is still the God of impossibility, of taking something that is impossible and making it possible. Nothing is too great for him.”

#ExchangeFearForFaith

“Jesus isn't asking us to carry more. He's asking us to exchange it. Exchange that fear for faith. Exchange the boundary the the the bondage for liberty. Exchange that your yoke, that yoke you put on yourself for his yoke. This is his yoke. Exchange that wrong thinking for the right thinking, for the mind of Christ. let's learn from Jesus. Learn from Jesus. The Holy Spirit persuades you that God's promises are true. It's one of those you know that you know. As you become fully persuaded, fully persuaded, the anointing, nothing more but the anointing, I said, destroys the yokes of fear, of shame, of sin, regret, striving, try to satisfy. The anointing does that.”

#SurrenderYourAll

“``But the greatest surrender isn't your possessions. The greatest surrender, it's your heart. It's your tongue. It's your temper. It's your attitude. It's your time. Wrap it all up. It's your life. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind. Love your neighbor as yourself. When those things are surrendered, God can take an ordinary rod, a piece of stick, a person that had a stuttering problem that couldn't get his words right and make it the mouthpiece of God or make it the rod of God.”

#LoveIsHealingPain

“I'm gonna preach today about something that's probably the best best thing, the most healing thing there is in the world, but also it's the most expensive and the most pain causing thing. It causes more pain than anything else, but it causes more healing than anything else, and that's love. If you don't love, you'll probably never be in pain, But if you love, you're gonna know pain. There is no way that you can love God's way and not know pain. will know it.”

#LifeBeyondBetter

“Jesus is saying, I didn't come to make your life better. Who? You're like, woah. You just contradict everything you said. No. No. No. No. No. I didn't come to make your life better. I came to give you a life beyond what you can produce on your own. That's why Jesus came. He came to give you a life so you can produce something better and more than you can ever produce on your own. Because if you're producing it on your own, it's not by his strength. It's by your might. It's by your faith, not according to his faith, not his love, his will, his ways.”

#StayInTheWall

“See, a stone by itself, it can be moved. You can kick it around. You can throw it. You can do whatever you want with it. But when it's in the wall, it can't move. You're not getting kicked. You're not getting thrown. And in fact, you're not being you're not getting stumbled over or being a stumbling block. The Bible says, hey, you can do these things, and you can add to your faith these eight things, and when you do that, you will never stumble. It says it very clear. You will never stumble. The only way I know how not to stumble is stay in the wall.”

#ObeyYourConscience

“How many of us will look back and it's like, man, I shouldn't have said that. I knew I shouldn't have said that. That's God. So when you hear him, how do you hear him? In your conscience, in your heart. Obey him. Like Mary's told those workers in the first miracle, whatever he says. I believe if you do that, it could change your life. Hey, it changed mine. And it to this day, it's still changing mine. Changing mine. I have not arrived because daily, I am like, Lord, make me tender. Help me. Help me where I fell short.”

#StrongRootsThroughResistance

“We have to do what the word says. And I'm gonna show you this. A life with no resistance will produce weak roots. It will produce, as James one twenty two through four talked about, We need the testing of your faith. It produces patience. It produces endurance. It produces steadfastness. That's why it's important. Jesus went through life that way. Jesus didn't walk around in a bubble. His disciples didn't walk around in a bubble. But, yes, we have to create the environment and saturate them in what they need to be saturated in, but we just don't protect them.”

#LoveNeverStopsBelieving

“``God never stops believing his purpose for you. Remember, love believes all. It always believes. It never stops believing. A mother never stops believing in their children. It doesn't matter if they're making bonehead decisions. If they take a job that they knew they shouldn't took or they, let's let's let's just let's go and hit the elephant in the room sometimes. They they start dating someone they shouldn't date. Right? You're like, oh, they shouldn't be with that person. But you know what? That mother believes, believes all things, believes all things, endures all things.”

#WorkYourField

“If you're not working your field, if you're not doing what the word says right here, you got the treasure. I will see you in heaven. But what's your field look like? Is it barren? Is it unfruitful? If you're not diligently adding to your faith virtues, as it says right here, that's what'll happen. In the knowledge of your Lord Jesus Christ, my people are destroyed for lack of what? Knowledge. Not knowledge of the world. Not knowledge of how you work. It's the knowledge of God.”

Stop waiting for everything to be laid out in front of you before you take that step and step out of the boat because your movement is the evidence of your faith. I'm not gonna give you my tithes once I've paid my bills. Let me see how much money I have left over. No. I'm done giving god my second best. You get my best, my best. #KeepSowing

“Do not stop sowing. Just because you don't see the outcome, the harvest right away, it could be generations down the road, that doesn't mean we stop sowing. You continue to sow your time, your talent, your treasure, testimony, love, generosity, kindness. Sow it. Continue to sow. See the kingdom of God often begins with a small you know prayer whispered in faith. A word spoken in obedience or a step taken when God says move. But once God touches it, it then becomes the exponential growth happens and that exponential process begins.”

#PlantForResurrection

“What looked like death on a Friday, I think y'all would say it this way, was actually a seed being planted. It's a seed being planted. And when God plants a seed, resurrection is in not inedible, inevitable. There it is. I know I like to eat some, but that's okay. The kingdom of God grows when seeds are planted. When you release obedience, when you release generosity, when you release your faith, God activates and increases it. It's activated. You cannot reap what you refuse to release. You cannot reap what you refuse to release. You want love? Release it. If you want forgiveness? Release it. You want peace? Release it. You want joy? Release it. Well, I'll get joy when you're joy no. You release it.”

#BreakingIsTransformation

“See, a seed must break open before this there is a stem or before there are leaves or any kind of fruit that is is shown. It must break open. It goes through this process. Right? And that breaking isn't destruction. See, the world tries to tries to put that breaking time as like a destruction, a bad word, a bad thing, but it's not destruction. That breaking of the seed is actually transformation. Transforming it into what it's called to be, called to do. It's development. And the pressure isn't punishment, but it's a process.”

#KingdomWithin

“The kingdom starts small. It's in you. And the works are unseen, and sometimes you don't see it, but then it just happens. It spreads eternally in you. It's internal, and it changes everything. #KingdomReignArrived

“The kingdom is a rule. The kingdom is a reign. The kingdom is an authority. It's a dominion. It's the active government of a king, and especially refers to the rule of Christ and believer's heart. It's the rule. It's the reign. So when the king Jesus said the kingdom is here, he's not meaning the reign well, it's not meaning well, kingdom, boom, it just dropped down like the house on Wizard of Oz. It's not like that. He's meaning the rain of God has arrived. The rain of God has arrived.”

#BeTheKingdom

“We don't have to do that. God does that. The kingdom of God. So many times, we're trying to change people. We don't change people. All we do is just be the kingdom. We just cast the net. And and what you see on this one is the net. This drag net. It says drag net. It's a drag net. It's not a single net. A drag net. A drag net cannot be used by one person. It is not designed, and it will not work. A drag net is won't work unless it's in a boat. You can rearrange every room in your house, move furniture around and everything else, but nothing is changing. It's still the same structural house that it was. #TrustTransformsFlavor

“If you marinate on questioning everything instead of trusting, that is what you're going to be, that is the flavor that you will be. This week I'm about to cook like 20 briskets and they will be insulated, penetrated, and flavored by hickory smoke and pepper and a lot of other seasonings that I'm not going to tell you, but you're going to have to trust me. And you're going to be able to know that this sucker has been penetrated, it's been penetrated, and when it's going to go in one way, it's going to come out a different way. It's going to look different. It's the same brisket, it's the same chunk of beef, but it's a little bit of transformation happening. But you got to keep that reference point just like this right here. If they zoom out and zoom in, it's okay. But the reference point that they're going to keep in the frame is what? Me. What do you keep in the reference point? Zoom in and zoom out. It don't matter what perspective, up, down, which angle, I'm still going to have Jesus as my focus.”

#UniquelyFramedPurpose

“When we learn to frame our lives within the reality that God has uniquely designed each single one of you and every single one of us for a distinct divine purpose, look around. I don't see any identical me's here. I see a lot more better looking people because we're not all the same. We're all different sizes, different hair colors, different colors, different, just different people. Here's what's neat. There's a distinct divine purpose for every single one of us. And when we frame that and know that, we only then will be able to have a free to view ourself as God does. That you have a purpose in your life. As a people that you have worth, you have a destiny, you are loved, you are cherished, you are fearfully and wonderfully made.”

#RebuildWithGrace

“Have any of you ever felt like your foundation might be rotted? You have to get in there and you have to dig that foundation out that was there. And you have to reframe it, start that structure all over again. Thank God. He empowers us with that grace to start all over again.”

#LiveWithFocusedVision

“So many times people look for other people like, I just need your encouragement. No, you don't. It helps. It's good. And as the other person, you should be and encourage them as a body of Christ, yes. But you know what? David didn't have that. So all we got to do is strengthen himself. That's what he's in the Lord. Strengthen himself in the Lord.”

Beliefs

What denomination or network does the church belong to?
North Pointe Church’s website does not specify a denomination or network. It describes its beliefs, including baptism with the Holy Spirit, but does not name an affiliation. (https://npcove.com/what-we-believe)

What are its stated core beliefs?
North Pointe Church’s stated core beliefs are that:

- The Bible is inspired, infallible, authoritative, and the supreme and final authority for faith and life.
- There is one God, revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- Jesus Christ was born of the Virgin Mary, lived without sin, died to reconcile people to God, rose from the dead, and offers eternal life; salvation is found in Christ alone.
- Humanity was created in God’s image but fell through disobedience. Forgiveness and restored fellowship with God come through faith in Jesus’ sacrifice.
- Jesus will return, the dead will be raised, and the saved will have everlasting joy while the lost face everlasting conscious punishment.
- The Church is made up of those who acknowledge Jesus as Lord and Savior, and believers should gather for worship, prayer, Bible teaching, fellowship, and service.
- The Holy Spirit fills believers at salvation; believers may also experience baptism with the Holy Spirit, evidenced by a heavenly prayer language. The Spirit gives supernatural gifts to Christians for instruction and empowerment.
- Water baptism by immersion is for believers as a public profession of faith.

The website also lists the Lord’s Supper with biblical references, but does not provide a separate statement explaining that belief. (https://npcove.com/what-we-believe)

How does it practice baptism and communion, and who can participate?
**Baptism:** North Pointe baptizes people who have chosen to follow Jesus as a public declaration of faith and identification with Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection. The church describes baptism as an act of obedience—not what saves a person—and invites both new Christians and longtime believers who have not yet been baptized. Baptisms are offered on the fourth Sunday of each month. (https://npcove.com/water-baptism; https://npcove.com/baptism-signup)

**Communion:** We practice open communion: you do not need to be a North Pointe member, but you should be part of the body of Christ—that is, have Jesus in your heart. Before participating, the church invites people to examine themselves and ask forgiveness for sin. The bread represents Jesus’ body, and the cup represents his blood; participants receive them in remembrance of Jesus. The church also teaches that no particular kind of bread or drink is required. What roles can women hold in church leadership?
North Pointe’s leadership page lists women serving as a worship pastor, an associate pastor and creative director, a children’s director, an elder, a deaconess, and an audio/visual director. (https://npcove.com/leadership)

What are its stated policies concerning LGBTQ people?
The provided materials do not state a specific policy concerning LGBTQ people—for example, on membership, marriage, or leadership. The LYFE YTH page says teenagers are welcome and aims to offer them love and acceptance, but it does not specifically address LGBTQ people. (https://npcove.com/lyfe-yth)

Who leads the church, and how are leaders accountable?
North Pointe Church is led by Senior Pastor Brent Sanders, alongside a team that includes Jenni Sanders (Worship Pastor), Patrick and Missy Brown (Associate Pastor and Creative Director), Erika Mytnik (Children’s Director), Jesus and Josie Mendez (Elders), David and Jeannette Meadors (Deacons), and Vicki Bible (Deaconess). (https://npcove.com/leadership)

The website does not describe a formal process for holding leaders accountable. In a sermon, we teach that ministry decisions should put God first and that people are responsible stewards of what God entrusts to them; this is a principle for faithful leadership, not a description of a specific oversight process. Teaching

Which recent sermons would help someone understand the teaching?
Among the sermon excerpts provided, these are good starting points for understanding North Pointe’s teaching:

- **Salvation, identity, and righteousness:** We teach that freedom from sin and a life of righteousness come through Jesus, not through trying to earn salvation by works. This excerpt develops that idea through Romans 6 and the “path” of following Jesus. ([01:12:09 from August 16, 2026])
- **The Holy Spirit and spiritual gifts:** We teach that the gospel is to be preached and demonstrated, and this sermon discusses signs, wonders, and miracles as part of that teaching. ([32:01 from January 05, 2020])
- **Life together as the church:** This sermon describes the church as a ministry and calling, and stresses believers coming together and serving together. ([49:10 from May 26, 2024])

The excerpts don’t include sermon titles or dates, so I’ve identified them by topic.

How does the church talk about sin, confession and forgiveness?
North Pointe describes sin as disobedience to God that separates people from fellowship with him. It teaches that everyone needs Jesus’ sacrifice for sin, and that forgiveness and restored relationship with God come through faith in Christ, repentance, and trust in his death and resurrection. (https://npcove.com/what-we-believe) (https://npcove.com/salvation)

In our teaching, repentance means turning back to God and realigning with his will—not being condemned or merely saying “I’m sorry” and trying harder. We teach that sin is anything contrary to God’s Word, including unforgiveness and bitterness. ( [37:06 from February 02, 2026]) ( [38:16 from February 02, 2026])

We also encourage confessing sin to God: the sermon points to 1 John 1:9, teaching that God is faithful to forgive and cleanse those who confess. Confession is an act of trust in God’s faithfulness, not an attempt to make him willing to forgive. ( [01:05:29 from August 16, 2026]) ( [01:40:06 from October 18, 2026])

Forgiveness is presented as release rather than holding on to an offense; the teaching also urges people to forgive themselves and others. The message is that failure need not define a person, because God’s response to repentance is an invitation to return, not condemnation. ( [59:59 from January 19, 2026]) ( [01:06:42 from August 16, 2026])

How does the teaching approach community and honesty with others?
We teach that community grows through intentional connection, service, and honest relationships. North Pointe describes “Reaching In” as growing in the church body and “Reaching Out” as serving the community and world. (https://npcove.com/mission-and-vision) The church also encourages building relationships through ministry and outreach. (https://npcove.com/missions)

In everyday relationships, we emphasize honest communication, reliability, accountability, and keeping promises—“let your yes be yes, your no be no.” ([01:20:31 from February 25, 2024]) Honesty also means being willing to be vulnerable: sharing thoughts and emotions, confessing to one another, and praying for one another. ([01:25:23 from February 25, 2024])

We also teach that community requires listening with empathy rather than rushing to answer: hear what someone is saying and try to understand their feelings and experience. ([01:27:02 from February 25, 2024])

How does the church approach doubt and suffering?
North Pointe approaches doubt by encouraging people to bring their struggles to God and hold onto Scripture and God’s promises, rather than letting painful circumstances define what they believe. The church’s teaching does not suggest that faith means pretending things do not hurt: trials can be painful, even for people close to Jesus, and people are encouraged to keep trusting that God is with them. ([58:39 from September 11, 2023]) ([01:00:15 from September 11, 2023])

Suffering is met with prayer, praise, perseverance, and support from others. One sermon’s practical guidance is to pray when hurting and to call on church elders or spiritual leaders when weary and in need of others to stand with you. ([34:20 from January 12, 2020]) ([36:09 from January 12, 2020]) The church also invites people to share prayer requests, saying its team prays regularly and wants no one to face life’s challenges alone. (https://npcove.com/prayer-request)

In grief, the church makes room for tears while urging people not to become stuck in grief or bitterness. It encourages asking what to do next and continuing forward with hope in God. ([43:50 from July 20, 2025]) ([47:48 from July 20, 2025])

How does the church approach faith and work?
North Pointe teaches that faith is not a way to earn salvation: salvation is God’s gift, received through faith. But genuine faith should lead to action—faith is not passive, and it works through love. ([42:47 from May 03, 2026]) ([43:34 from May 03, 2026])

That action includes everyday work and service. The church encourages people to use their God-given gifts to serve the church and community, and to work wholeheartedly as for the Lord. (https://npcove.com/saints-serving-signup) It also emphasizes obedience and putting faith into practice rather than stopping at belief. ([01:11:13 from September 28, 2025])

Is an answer based on an official statement or an interpretation of sermons?
It depends on the source: a statement on North Pointe Church’s **“What We Believe”** page is an official statement of its core beliefs; a conclusion drawn from a sermon is an interpretation of that sermon. The church describes its listed beliefs as its “core beliefs.” (https://npcove.com/what-we-believe)

For example, Pastor Brent’s explanation that the narrow way is about “relationship” rather than restriction is a sermon interpretation, not wording from the website’s statement of beliefs. ([49:44 from August 02, 2026])
