“This is what I'm talking about. I'm talking about the people again that maybe perhaps in leadership and they try to manipulate you into doing something according to using God's word. Like manipulate you into giving, manipulate you into serving, manipulate you into doing x, y, or z, guilt trip you with scripture. And the enemy tries to get people to do that. Again, it's why Jesus said that we've got to look at the fruit of people. It's why Jesus said to be aware of the false prophets and the false teachers and the things that are out there. Because if we're not aware of the deception, what does it take to be deceived? It's gotta look real.”
“I can do all things through Christ. I can have a lot or have very little, but through Christ I'm okay. And when we think about our finances, when we think about the things that we have or even that we need, we need to understand what practical faith is telling us. It's not about what you got in the bank account. It's not about what it is that you own or don't own. It's about being content in Christ, knowing that he will supply. We sang Jira a little while ago. He is our provider. He is the one that provides whatever it is that we need in the moment that we need it. And so practical faith is not measured by material lack or by material gain.”
“Are we gonna be like the small immature child that says, I'm taking my ball and leaving with it? Or are we gonna look and say, it doesn't matter what happens. I still trust that God will do something in this. I still trust that God will do something in this. Church, practical faith chooses to trust God and grows even in the trials. Practical faith chooses to trust God and grows in the trials.”
“But counting it all joy, I'm telling you, is not an emotional response. You can throw the next slide for me. Counting it all joy, it's making the decision. It's choosing to view it from the perspective of what God can and will do. It's making the choice to say, God, I don't know what you're gonna pull out of this, but you're gonna do something. And when you and I are living a faith, a practical faith, a real faith, when we are living it out, we're able to see situations arise and not be like the old version of ourselves. We're just wanting to forget it, just throw it all away.”
“Over three decades of following Jesus and sin still talks to me. How about you? But here's the good news. Because of the grace of God, I don't have to do what sin tells me to do anymore. In Romans, it teaches us about this, that we are no longer under any obligation to do what sin tells us to do. Before grace, right, we didn't really have a choice. We just kinda went along with sin because it was our nature. But now because of the grace of God, by the Holy Spirit on the inside of us, right, that we receive through Jesus. Now we don't... We have no obligation to do what sin tells us to do. We actually can obey because of his grace.”
“You and I cannot control the thought that popped in. We can definitely control if we continue to think about it or not. I'm gonna say that one more time. We can't control what pops in, but we can control if we continue to think about it or not. In Spanish, there's a saying, I've been hearing since I was a little kid, I'm gonna say it in Spanish, and then I'll translate it to to English. All right? And this is what it says. You can't stop a bird from landing, but you can prevent it from building a nest. And so a thought may come, but you know what scripture says? Take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.”
“But throughout this series, I know in my heart that there's things that God has dealt with me on as I studied for it. If there's something that God has shown you, this is an area. Don't leave it open. As we begin to need to fill that gap. God, I repent for what I've allowed to come in, and I make the active choice, God, to seal that. Lord, I make the active choice to love you. And God, help me to live a life where I love everyone as onto Jesus. Lord, help me to show the action of love in Jesus' name.”
“you need to meditate on the word because the word, the bible is not just some book. It's the living word of God. And I want everybody to know that because the many times I've skipped a book because I didn't wanna read it, and it didn't give me anything. But I know the word, and that is the only book I read to this day, gives me the stuff that I need to live. It's the living word of God, the messages I've gotten from reading my word each and every single day, whether it's day, whether whether it's right after I wake up, whether it's right before I go to sleep. I love reading the word, and I I encourage all of you to read the word each and every single day. If you can't, try to make it as soon as possible. Try to do it as every moment you can, whether it's the verse of the day on the Bible app. I used to do that because I didn't have a time. And even then, God will give you a message. So,”
“Ask yourself, am I a casual follower of Jesus right now? Do I need to step into the field and play the game? And so I wanna pray for us and say, God, help us to have affecting you that decides to follow you. And says that no matter the challenges or the struggles or the trials in life, we're gonna depend on you. Because in our weakness, you are strong. Yes.”
“And it says a cake, but I was wondering what is a cake? It's probably not a birthday cake that we can go pick out from So what is it? And so I found an image on what a a cake should look would look like in ancient Israel. And what I found was this image that looked a lot like bread. what else we know is bread? In the New Testament over and over, it talks about Jesus being the bread of life. Come on. So if Elijah was weak and tired, and what did God provide him? The bread. And so he so when we are tired spiritually, we need to go eat and refill with the bread of life, god's word. And that is, another analogy that god uses in scripture.”
“But don't we, at times, treat the commandments the same way? When God says, thou shalt not, but yet we'll look at it as a suggestion. Well, can't be that serious. I mean, if I do it, will it really have any consequences? And the answer is yes. The commandments that God has given us is not just a set of rules, but it's a huge expression of his love for us, of his desire for us to live our lives free, safe, and holy.”
“``Now, the flip side of that is that we can take it to the bank that everything he has promised is true. That every single thing that he has said, every blessing he's promised you, every word he's given over you, everything that scripture says is true. Why? It's against his nature to lie. And he will not lie, which means the promise of healing is true today as it was when he gave it. The promise of salvation and redemptions is as true today as when it was said in scripture. The promise of his peace that surpasses understanding is as true today as when Jesus was sleeping on the boat in the midst of the storm. It's as true today. Why? Because God is not a man that he should lie. Because it is impossible for him to lie. Because he cannot lie. So in the same way that we can look and say, God hates the lying, we can take it as an assurance that everything that he has said is true. And we can believe him and take him at his word because it's against his nature to lie.”
“Too many times, we don't even realize that we're stealing. Say, I'm I'm I'm I'm let's give you this example. Your shift starts at nine, you get there at nine to the parking lot. make it inside at 09:04. You put your stuff on your desk, and you go to the break room to get coffee. You see if somebody brought a Krispy Kreme donut, and by the time you get to your desk at 09:22 church, we just stole twenty two minutes from our employer.”
“If they're soul ties, as we begin to worship now Again, you've been given authority by the blood of Jesus. It's a simple prayer. God, I take the authority that's been given to me as a believer, and I break with the soul ties that I have had with this individual. And you say their name. Break it. Some of you married folks in here, when you do that in authority as a believer, your marriage will change for the better exponentially.”
“``Because too many times, we have used the word of God and weaponized it as something to hit people over the head with it. And that's not what we're supposed to do. Jesus said, we gotta love on everybody. Now loving them doesn't mean that, like, hey. Everything's okay. No. You wanna do this? That's fine. You be you, boo. No. You and I, as believers, we look at someone and we say, hey. I love you, and I will help you get through this, and there's forgiveness in Jesus. And”
“``Forgive them. Forgive them. Some of your parents may not be alive today. They may have already passed, and you're still holding on to something that happened. And it has you in bondage, and honoring them is forgiving them. Pray and surrender it to God. Listen. If one of your parents didn't defend you or protect you how they should've, and you were abused. If one of your parents didn't provide the way they should and you went through hardship. No matter what happened, you've got to forgive them. And it does not make what they did okay. But who's stuck and is dealing with this bitterness and this issue because of the unforgiveness is the one holding on to it. So you wanna honor them? Forgive them.”
“And some of us we think, oh, no, no. I'll just I'll it'll it's not gonna catch up with me. I'm good. I'm young. No. Learn it now and begin to Sabbath. God takes it so seriously that the children of Israel when they violated Sabbathing and giving the land Sabbath, the Bible says for four hundred ninety years, they've profaned the Sabbath and they would not Sabbath and they wouldn't give the land the Sabbath. They went slaves to Babylon for seventy years so that the land would have its Sabbath. God takes it that serious. And you and I, we need to begin to say, I'm gonna be intentional on taking my day of rest, on preparing for it, on actually resting. It has to be kept, not skipped. I wrote this other thought down as well. Sabbath is not a catch up day.”
“``You all represent me when you go out, so make sure you represent well. So we do these things. We train up our children. We do these things not because we want to punish them, but because we understand that those rules, those boundaries, they are not to be restrictive, but they are for their protection. You see, boundaries are not it's not the absence of love, but boundaries are the proof of love.”
“Stick it in a bag, get a hammer, and go to town. Oh, but what's gonna happen? What if they did the thing? What did I think? What did I read you? It says, don't be afraid of them. Don't be afraid of them. Get rid of them. Don't give it away. Destroy it. Get the charms. Take them to a jeweler. Melt the gold. Get it. Get destroy it. Get rid of it. You either obey god or disobey god. There's no in between.”
“So I'm gonna make something easier. I'm gonna send Jesus who failed none of them. He fulfilled the law so that whoever believes in him and accepts him puts me in the rightful position in the life will have eternal life. So then I asked this question this morning. Do we have anything or anyone in God's reserved spot in our lives? Do we have anything or anyone in God's reserved spot in our lives? I've got very good news for you. If you do, you just simply need to say, get out of the spot, and say, God, this is your spot.”
“The prophet says, what do you have? She says, I got oil. He says, get every piece of Tupperware that you got, and get more from your neighbors if you need, and go and bring them into the house. She begins to get vessels, as many vessels as she can. She brings them in, and there is an anointing that comes upon that home and upon that oil. And as the oil can poured out into the vessel, it continued to pour. Put it to the side, another vessel. Put it to the side, another vessel. But you know what happened when the vessels ceased? The oil ceased. And one of the things that we miss is that God blesses us with with the oil, not so that we got a jar of oil, but so that we bless. And in the moment that we choose to stop pouring that oil, the blessings upon it cease.”
“How do we renew our mind? That's the question. Right? So how does this happen? How does this renewal happen? And before I get into my points, I wanna tell you this. It takes intentionality. It takes intentionality. If you're not intentional, it doesn't happen. Pretty much anything in life that you really wanna do and have, if you're not intentional, it doesn't happen. And your wife with your wife husbands and wives, if you're not intentional on setting a date night, it doesn't happen.”
“At the moment of salvation, the blood of Jesus restores you and me. We become his sons and daughters. Jesus The scars are removed. The pains are removed. The past is removed. The shamed is removed. He takes the shame, and he gives you a garment of praise. He gives you a double portion. He gives you everlasting joy. But if we buy into the devil's lie, we ourselves withhold ourselves from the blessing. I wrote down it this way. If we buy the lies of the enemy, we withhold ourselves from God's best. If we buy the lies of the enemy, we withhold ourselves from God's best.”
“Many times, we say, well, what if they reject me? Well, let me tell you something. If they reject it, they're not rejecting you. They're rejecting Jesus. That's right, Shiloh. Come on. You preach it with me, girl. Let's go back to the food court. Are you with me at the food court? You ever walked by one of these people at the food court and not grabbed their sample? Did you reject them? See, I walked by and I made a choice. I don't want that. The lady might have been super nice, the guy might have been almost a saint. I didn't reject them.”
“We feel, if I forgive, I'm giving a pass. If I forgive, it means that it's okay. No. It's not. What they did to you was wrong. But you know what happens if you and I don't forgive? We're imprisoned by the forgiveness. As a matter of fact, if you're at the grocery store and you see Josefa and it makes something stir, Josefa didn't even see you, and you transfigured and not in a good way. Your blood began to boil. You left your shopping cart and left the store to get in your car, burn more gas, and go to a different grocery store.”
“Church, we've gotta understand that if god calls the things that are not as though they were, our words, the words that come out of our mouth should be words of faith, words that are calling into existence. But what's wrong is that the world has some counterfeits out there. Now can I can I ask you guys a question? Any of you ever hear any of you here, please raise your hand if you have ever seen a counterfeit $3 bill. No. No. You work in the bank. Never. Never. Never. Nobody burning a counterfeit $3 bill. You know why? $3 bills don't exist.”
“Listen. I'm not sitting later in my office for you to come and confess and tell me all the things you said that were gnarly and nasty. I don't need to know. But you need to repent because did you know that the Bible says that we will give an account to God for every idle word that comes out of our mouth? That's a Bible verse. For some of us, it's encyclopedias long. But repent, receive his forgiveness, and begin to speak life. Throughout the day, speak life. Speak life.”
“You see this kind of desperation wakes you up in the morning because you're seeking after him with all that you got, you're pressing forward. You're sick and tired of being sick and tired. If the Lord said that healing is mine, I'm going after it. If the Lord says that I can have joy in the midst of my sorrow, I'm going after that. If the Lord says that he will heal my infirmities, I'm going after that.”
“Watch. Think about this for a second. David looks and says, when I was a shepherd in my father's field now, it's interesting he says, when I was a shepherd, because that's already past tense, because he remembered who he was and what he was anointed to be. That's number one. Then he looks and they look and he answers and says, well, when a lion came and took one of my sheep, or when a bear came and took one of my sheep, I chased that sucker down, grabbed it by the beard, slayed it, and took my sheep back. And this giant will be like one of them. He remembered what God had done, and he went to fight Goliath remembering the promise.”
“Or are you gonna remember that when I fought the lion, I took it out because of God. When I fought the bear, I took it down because of God. And this giant is gonna fall like one of those two. You and I have the choice to remember. And when we remember what he's done, we can again begin to overcome. And when people see us, they see the freedom that we walk in. They see the joy. They see everything going on.”
“Unity comes only from God. There is power when Christians come into agreement and unity. Again, the world thrives on division. Sporting industries thrive on the rallying, on the this team against that team. Colleges thrive. My college is better than your college. Everything thrives on this competition. But in the kingdom of God, you thrive on unity. You thrive on being one where maybe you shouldn't be one. You thrive on knowing that the only thing that you need to have in common is that you've accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior, that you are a follower of Jesus, and that's it.”
“Meditate on it day and night. Why? What happens when we're meditating on the word of God? Well, then it tells you, you will be careful to do according to all that is written in it. Then, you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. As you're meditating on what God says, and you're thinking about what he tells us to do, we're able to make the decisions that please him. We're able to make decisions that honor him because we're having it present. And when we honor God, success follows.”
“I'm a say that again. If stuck on a good past, it's still living in the past. Yeah. I know there's nobody here. You ever meet somebody who may be like 50, 60 years old, and they talk about their glory days in high school? They talk about how when I was in high school, man, I was the starting running back. You know, when I was in high school, I played with so and so, and I played with so and so, and I remember I tackled so and so, and they're just stuck in the glory days.”
“And I looked at him, and I opened up my little small red bible that I had, and I read to him the verse. There is one mediator between God and man, the person Jesus Christ. And I looked up at father Quinn, and I said, that's not you. Eight year old David. See, I knew what the word of God said. And I looked at him and I said, that don't add up. So you need to read the word and let the holy spirit reveal to you his word and then stand on his word.”
“But that burden, I had taken it on, and it was robbing me of peace and robbing me of joy, robbing me of joy. And so the Lord had to remind me, I'm the supreme provider. I know what you need. Continue to steward well where you are. At the right moment, we'll open the door. What do we gotta continue to do? Be faithful. Steward well. He's gonna open the right door. But it's easy for us to allow the cares to choke us, and our joy be hijacked.”
“Matthew was a tax collector robbing his own people. Peter actually was probably out on the Sabbath day fishing and being disobedient to the law. Like, all in and we know Judas. Judas was actually stealing, but when he's become a disciple, he's stealing money out of out of out of out of the purse for the disciples. All of them had some messed up stuff. They're all flawed people. Just like we are, we're all flawed people. But Jesus is saying, come to me, and I'll make it right.”
“What? Again, Jesus is praying for us and our unity. Jesus is there praying for us and our unity. And I need us to understand, the hour that Jesus is praying for, that hour, it's the body of Christ. Jesus was praying for us to be one, and his words are, the world will see that they are one and believe in me. We ask, why do we got so many lost people in the world? Because the world sees the church more divided and fragmented than ever.”
“We come to you for everything knowing that when we leave, we will not be the same. We bless you for this holy moment Hallelujah. Where we remember Jesus. For he said that no one takes my life, but I willingly laid it down for you. He did it for us. Hallelujah. All power has been given to him in heaven and on earth. And because of his name, everything has to bow.”
“``And we look and we say, well, if I'm distinct, if I'm supposed to be different from the world, the questions are this, are we truly living a life distinct and set apart? Are we truly being renewed? Are we truly spending time with him? Or do we look like the world, talk like the world, smell like the world, act like the world?”
“Joy is a choice. Joy is a choice. I'm gonna say that again. Joy is a choice, and we must choose that joy. It's full of choices, and it's a choice that we need to make, an active choice of choosing joy. I would love for you to write this down this morning if you're taking notes. Walking in the fullness of his joy is a choice.”
“``And the other thing that hits me hard is that he when he finds the sheep, he doesn't say, okay. I found you. Now follow me. And continues walking expecting the sheep to walk behind him. It says that he carries it on his shoulders. He makes sure that that sheep goes back. He makes sure that that sheep returns to the flock where it's supposed to be. And that's what the father does. He goes seeking. He goes searching. He reaches us, and he brings us back.”
“``A little bit gave you satisfaction for a moment, but then it wasn't enough, and it wasn't enough, and it wasn't enough. But I'm here to tell you this morning that when we surrender our life to God, and Jesus comes to live inside of our heart, there is a joy that comes at that moment of salvation. It is God's strength in us, and that strength, no matter the circumstance, will be able to withstand. When we are in the fullness of joy, no matter the circumstance, no matter what comes, as pastor Bai said a minute ago when she was leading during that song, storms will come, rain will come.”
“Remember that the joy of the Lord is our strength. It's not given by man, so man can't take it from you. When we have an encounter with God and we have salvation, everything else is fleeting after that because I know where I'm going. The fact that Jesus paid the price and now I can spend eternity in heaven with him, I know what's happening and I can be totally trusting in him, and his joy is my strength. It's not my joy, it's his joy, and it comes from that relationship with him.”
“Anybody here ever get sunburnt before? Anybody ever get sunburnt while having sunscreen in their bag with them? I've been there. Ooh, come on now. I've been there, peeling and all. And I had sunscreen. But the sunscreen, without the application, does nothing. It's like, I don't get it, screen. Why am I burnt? Did you apply the sunscreen? And that's the issue with a lot of us sometimes. We are hearing the word, but we're not applying the word.”
“And we see through scripture constantly, time and time again, God's promise of being with his people. We see God with them. We see it in Abraham. We see it with Joseph. In the pit, God was with him. In the palace, God was with him. In the prison, God was with him. And in the palace as the second in command of all of Egypt, God was with him through everything. And it is a promise that you and I have that God will be with us. We asked the question, God, where are you? And he's like, I'm with you.”
“Our anchor cannot be an individual or a person. Our anchor must be God. He's the only who that we can be tied to as our anchor. Here, many of us, the who that we anchor ourselves to is our spouse or our children or our parents. And here's the reality. All of them will pass away one day. God will remain. Everything will fail us. God will remain.”
“``Serving is an act of humility. I want you to think about this for a second. Where do you want to go? Listen, answer me. Talk back. You ready? Where do you want to go when you die? Me too? Jesus left there to come to this place. And by the way, it was thousands of years ago, in the desert, with no air conditioner, no running water, forget hot water, no plumbing, no Nikes, no cars. He left heaven to live here, the place that we're like, when we die here, we want to go there. That's humility.”
“``I don't glorify my past and my pains. I glorify my God. I don't glorify what's missing. I glorify what's in front of me. And when we make that choice, people aren't going to get it. But we've got to understand that we don't deny what happened, but we say, but God.”
“But what I want you to understand is that God had been reaching for the children of Israel to come back to him. He kept loving on them and forewarning them. And he kept saying, return to me. Don't worship these idols. Come to me. Let me be your God. But they continued in their rebellion. They continued to worship these idol gods. And so now God is fulfilling his prophecy. And within this, we have Daniel who is now being taken away from his home.”
“``There's not a junior Holy Spirit. There's not a Holy Spirit for pastors and prophets and evangelists and teachers that is separate for the irregular Christian. No, we are all sons and daughters of God when we make Jesus the Lord of our lives. And in that instant, we are given the same authority and the same Holy Spirit and the same power and we got to exercise it.”
“There is a false gospel, a false Christianity, if you would, that preaches that when you come to Jesus, everything's going to be fine. And that is contrary to the word of God. Jesus said, you're gonna face stuff, but have peace. I've overcome the world. And it says here, that our fight, our wrestling, our war is not against flesh and blood. So I am not in war with the person. It is a demonic situation happening in the background. And we are in a spiritual war, whether you choose to believe it or not.”
“Having something and not using it is basically as good as nothing, right? It's the same as not having it. And so the question is, I'm a Christian, I've made Jesus the Lord of my life. Am I using the authority that has been given to me? Am I walking in that authority? We have to exercise our authority.”
“You cannot buy spiritual authority. Someone needs to hear that this morning. You cannot buy spiritual authority. It's not based on how big of a tither you are or a giver you are. It's not based on your works. It's not based on your merits. It is completely based on the relationship with Jesus and in who Jesus is.”
“You and I, we are God's creation. Everyone is God's creation. But when we make Jesus the Lord of our life, we become adopted children of God, sons and daughters, with equal access and share to everything that is promised.”
“Without Jesus, the world is in darkness. And the reality is this. You can never make anything darker. All you can do is remove light. And the actual scientific definition of darkness is that it is the condition of the absence of light. And so what happens when Jesus is removed? Darkness reigns. Why? Because he is the light.”
“And in the same way, there are many Christians who are eagles living among chickens. And like chickens, not knowing that they were created to soar and fly. And part of the issue of that eaglet was that who it was looking to wasn't an eagle. And part of the issue in Christians is that they're not looking to Christ as their source of identity are Christians who are still looking to the world as its source of identity, comparing itself to the world.”
“There's a lot of eagles living like chickens because we've been raised on the world's Christianity and on the culture's Christianity, and we believe we're chickens with no authority and no flight and not able to fly and do what we're called to because of what someone else had said. And it's time for us to understand who we are and soar like the eagle.”
“I don't know who this is for right now, but perhaps you're the one of the ones that right now are saying, but I thought that when I came to Jesus everything would be fine. But what Jesus said was, in this world you'll have tribulation. Have peace. I've overcome the world. I paid the price. I already did it. I'm with you. I'm not leaving you forsaken. I'm not leaving you an orphan. I'm not leaving you fatherless. I am with you.”
“The truth is, and Chris said it a minute ago as he was partaking and leading worship, God never promised that things were going to be perfect all the time. He did promise he would be with us. That's one of the final things that Jesus said on earth. And lo, I will be with you even to the end of days. And so we have a promise from God to never leave us or to never forsake us.”
“What we're facing, Jesus already overcame it. What you and I are facing, Jesus already overcame it. What does it mean to overcome? It means to resoundedly win.”

Yes. Visiting families are welcome to join 3W Church in person, and children’s services are available at select times by reservation—so reserve a spot for your child before attending. (https://www.3wchurch.com/serviceupdates)
- **God and Jesus Christ:** There is one eternal God in three persons—the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The church affirms Jesus’ deity, virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension, and personal return. - **The Holy Spirit and Scripture:** The Holy Spirit enables Christians to live godly lives and gives spiritual gifts to believers; the church believes all these gifts remain active today. The Bible is the Spirit-inspired, authoritative, eternally reliable Word of God. - **Salvation and resurrection:** Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. The church believes in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, to life or damnation, respectively. - **The Church and Christian practice:** The universal Church is Christ’s body, with Christ as its head and all born-again believers as members. Its purposes include worship, fellowship, ministry, instruction, evangelism, and service. The church affirms the fivefold ministry, spiritual unity among believers, water baptism by immersion, regular participation in the Lord’s Supper, and regular gathering for worship. - **Other stated beliefs:** The church believes in angels and a spiritual realm with forces of good and evil; the sanctity of human life from conception; chastity for single Christians; marriage as the union of one man and one woman; and physical healing through Jesus’ stripes for those who believe and receive. It also encourages personal spiritual growth through Scripture, prayer, and worship. (https://www.3wchurch.com/what-we-believe)
How does it practice baptism and communion, and who can participate?
3W Church practices **water baptism by full immersion** as a public declaration of faith and the next step after believing in and confessing Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. (https://www.3wchurch.com/this-week) Pastor David invites people who have made that confession and have not yet been baptized by full immersion to be baptized. ([01:33:26 from February 05, 2024])
For **communion**, the church uses bread and a cup, taken in remembrance of Jesus’ body and blood and to proclaim his death until he comes. In the service, Pastor David invited those present to partake together. The sermon does not specify other eligibility requirements for communion. ([34:34 from July 04, 2025])
Women can serve as pastors and preach at 3W Church: the church identifies Pastor Patty Perez as a pastor, and Pastor David refers to Patty preaching and says disagreement over women preaching should not be treated as sin or a reason for division. ([01:18:11 from February 15, 2026]) (https://www.3wchurch.com/meet-the-family)
What are its stated policies concerning LGBTQ people?
The website information provided does not state a specific LGBTQ policy. In sermons, 3W Church teaches that marriage is between a man and a woman and rejects same-sex marriage; one sermon also explicitly describes homosexuality as sin. ([25:19 from March 23, 2026]) ([01:21:53 from June 19, 2023])
The sermons urge people to seek God’s help with temptation and frame sin as something to address consistently, rather than singling out homosexuality while excusing other sins. ([25:45 from March 23, 2026]) The information provided does not specify policies on transgender people, church attendance or membership, or pastoral care for LGBTQ people.
David teaches that pastors and teachers may serve as examples, but should not be put on a pedestal: Scripture is the measuring stick, and if a pastor lives contrary to it, the pastor is wrong. The sources don’t describe a formal oversight or discipline process. ([09:58 from October 27, 2025])
Which recent sermons would help someone understand the teaching?
These recent sermons are good starting points for understanding our teaching:
- **“Practical Faith”** walks through James and shows how faith is lived out—in humility, obedience, and practical care for others. ([06:27 from September 28, 2026]) - **“Blueprints”** explores the Sermon on the Mount, including Jesus’ teaching on prayer and how it shapes a believer’s life. ([57:51 from August 26, 2024]) - **The gospel-presentation message** explains the core message of salvation and how to share it, using the outline “Grace, man, God, Christ, and faith.” ([56:38 from October 23, 2023]) - **The message on false prophets and teachers** offers guidance on testing teaching against Scripture and examining the fruit of a person’s life. ([55:12 from October 14, 2024])
How does the church talk about sin, confession and forgiveness?
We talk about sin as wrongdoing against God and a turning away from God’s goodness and commands. The church teaches that everyone has sinned, and that Jesus’ atoning death is the basis for restoration; salvation is by grace through faith in him. (https://www.3wchurch.com/what-we-believe) In a children’s devotional, sin is described as making choices against God’s perfect goodness. ([01:09 from July 04, 2025])
Confession means honestly owning our sin before God and asking forgiveness. We also teach that confession and prayer can involve other believers: the website cites James 5:16, and a sermon describes apologizing to someone after lying as a way to rebuild trust. (https://www.3wchurch.com/serviceupdates) ([36:08 from August 17, 2026])
Forgiveness is offered through Jesus and isn’t something we earn by doing penance. We encourage people to repent, receive God’s forgiveness, and forgive themselves rather than remain weighed down by guilt. ([43:13 from July 20, 2026]) We also pair grace with a call to change: Jesus’ “neither do I condemn you” is followed by “go and sin no more.” ([1:16:39 from October 05, 2025])
How does the teaching approach community and honesty with others?
We approach community as a place where people grow through relationships, small groups, and sharing life: testimonies and experiences encourage one another and help sustain us through difficult seasons. We also encourage people to meet together and build each other up. (https://www.3wchurch.com/wof-blog/fruitbowlliving)
We teach authenticity as being genuine across settings—not acting one way at church and another at home or work. That doesn’t mean sharing personal matters with everyone; it means being open and vulnerable with trusted people, such as an accountability partner or small-group leader, so we can grow together. ([03:41 from September 14, 2026])
Honesty also means speaking the truth with love and taking responsibility when we have lied. One example shared was admitting to a colleague that “I’m fine” had been untrue, apologizing, and recognizing that owning the lie helps rebuild trust. ([35:04 from August 17, 2026]) ([36:08 from August 17, 2026])
3W Church treats doubt as a real, common struggle—not as proof that someone has no faith. Pastor David describes doubt as uncertainty or a lack of conviction, and cautions that if it is allowed to take root, it can weaken faith. The response is to turn toward God’s Word and not let fear or discouraging voices set the direction. ([56:17 from July 10, 2023]) ([40:45 from October 05, 2026])
The church does not present suffering as something believers will avoid: Pastor David points to Jesus’ words that people will face trouble, while also urging them to have peace. He teaches that the goal is not to rejoice in pain itself, but to trust that God can bring growth and endurance through hardship. ([47:36 from January 25, 2026]) ([50:51 from January 25, 2026]) He also distinguishes between God causing a trial and God being able to use it for good. ([54:52 from January 25, 2026])
When someone is suffering or unsure why something is happening, the practical response is to bring it to God, choose trust even without all the answers, and look for God’s presence and faithfulness. The church also invites people to request prayer and offers regular prayer services and help for those in need. ([36:28 from September 28, 2026]) (https://www.3wchurch.com/serviceupdates)
3W Church presents faith as something to live out in everyday life, including at work: the church teaches that worship and reliance on God can be practiced in the workplace, not only at church. ([40:45 from October 03, 2022]) It also emphasizes practical faith—putting belief into action rather than leaving it as an idea. ([00:34 from September 28, 2026])
In practice, that means treating work and service as opportunities to honor God and help others. The church describes serving others “as unto Jesus,” and says everything belongs to God and is entrusted to us to manage. It also encourages generous use of our talents and time, alongside a regular Sabbath rhythm and daily time with God. (https://www.3wchurch.com/values)
Is an answer based on an official statement or an interpretation of sermons?
An answer drawn from the sermon excerpts would be an interpretation of Pastor David’s preaching, not necessarily an official church statement. The website does contain official published statements—for example, the Outreach page says the church believes it is called to serve (https://www.3wchurch.com/outreach). The sermons include Pastor David’s specific views, such as encouraging Christians to participate in every profession and public arena ([01:02:05 from September 14, 2025]).
Are there groups or introductory gatherings open to newcomers?
Yes. 3W Church welcomes newcomers to its Small Groups, which meet in person, virtually, or both. The church recommends contacting leaders and trying a few groups to find a good fit; visit “Get Connected” for active group information. (https://www.3wchurch.com/smallgroups)
Can someone join groups or volunteer before becoming a member?
Yes—3W Church’s materials do not state that church membership is required first. Small groups welcome new members, and the church invites people who feel drawn to volunteer to speak with ministry leaders after service. (https://www.3wchurch.com/smallgroups) ([01:50 from March 04, 2024])
Who can answer a question the published information doesn't resolve?
Pastor David Perez is a reasonable person to ask. He says part of his role is maintaining relationships with pastors and supporting leaders’ health. ([01:20:22 from September 28, 2025]) The church’s “Say Hi” page is currently unavailable, so it doesn’t provide contact details. (https://www.3wchurch.com/sayhi)
