#commandmentsAreLove
“But don't we, at times, treat the commandments the same way? When God says, thou shalt not, but yet we'll look at it as a suggestion. Well, can't be that serious. I mean, if I do it, will it really have any consequences? And the answer is yes. The commandments that God has given us is not just a set of rules, but it's a huge expression of his love for us, of his desire for us to live our lives free, safe, and holy.”

#GratitudeAndAltars
“See, when we get into that spirit of gratitude, of thanksgiving, remembering all that God has done. You see back in that time, whenever God did something that they wanted to remember, they would build an altar. That altar would be a replica or a remembrance of what God had done. And I'm here to encourage you to build your altar. Build your altar on those things that God has already done. Think about how he provided for you when you didn't have. Build that altar there, that heart of worship.”

#BuildAltarsOfGratitude
“Think about how he saved your child, How he rescued you. Build that altar there. Think about him being a healer. What he healed you from, what he has delivered you from, build your altar of worship there. Ah, thank you, Jesus. And when we do this, his promise, he says, I will come to you and bless you. So do you see when you build that altar, you have no space for covetedness. Instead, it brings you to a place of honoring him, remembering him, worshiping him, knowing that he is a God that provides your every need. You don't have to covet anyone's gift. You don't have to covet anyone's possession. Instead, give honor to him and he will bless you with what you are in need of.”

#DontCovetLiveHoly
“Are you aspiring and being inspired by one another? Or are you in a place of where you have allowed that jealousy to come in? Or bitterness, resentment, discontent. See, the the commandments weren't given to make our lives restricted. But God wants us to live freely in him. He wants us to live holy lives. He knows the detriment of jealousy and envy. He knows the detriment of desiring something that someone else has. So he says, don't be this way. Thou shalt not covet.”

#CovetingIsAction
“It's a hard thing. the posture of the heart. when you covet, it just doesn't stay in the heart. You remember I told you it's a verb. You are gonna act on what has rested on your heart. What has set there, you're going to respond to. Not only is it from the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks, but from the abundance of your heart you act. It's a verb.”

#BewareIdolatryOfPeople
“You see, I knew that God had created me to be who I am. I was not gonna be sister Lane, I could be inspired by her. But we have to be careful that in that place of inspiration, we don't start wanting to be that person. You see, Eve did not Eve did not just covet, she covet God. She wanted to take the place of god. And we have to be ever so careful that when we are praising people, that we're not praising them so that we can be them. But that we praise or or applaud them because we are genuine in that place. Coveting is a sneaky snake. It can easily come in without you even realizing it.”

#TenCommandmentsLifeGiving
“The entire 10 commandments is repeated again in Deuteronomy. What I'm trying to say to you, a lot a lot of times we just look at it as it's the 10 commandments. But the 10 commandments are serious. God wants us to obey his commands. Because they are life giving, they keep us safe, and they keep us holy. So, as I was studying this, because I'm I'm I'm telling you, I was like, wow, God, your love. Can y'all not see the love of God in these commandments? He knows the detriment that they can bring to us if we do them.”

#ExamineYourIntentions
“We have to be careful of what our intent is. Are we really aspiring or being inspired by someone? Or are we coveting what they have? Are we after what they can do for us? It's easy. It can happen. I raise my hand and say I have been guilty of coveting, and I've had to repent. But thanks be to God for his Holy Spirit that convicts our hearts and shows us when we are on the wrong path.”
