You can earn righteousness through your own deeds. You can't keep the law. You can't offer burnt sacrifices enough to cover your sin. Jesus shows up. He's the end of the law in this. We receive righteousness not by what we do, but by who we believe in.”

“You see, when you look at the family tree of Jesus in Matthew chapter one, you're gonna see a long list of names. It'll be really small. You're not gonna be able to read it, but that list, it starts with Abraham and it's carried on through Isaac and through Jacob. But what I want you to see is that it is a dark, dark family tree filled with bad people who all need a savior, filled with evil people who all need a redeemer. It's a family tree of broken people that God refuses to give up on.”

Until they come of age, the bible says they're under governors that tell them what to do. Brush your teeth. Don't pee the bed. You know, eat your vegetables. Go to class and learn what you're doing. Now even though legally everything belongs to them, they have no power until they mature. That is a picture of today's church.”

A good father would never hand a loaded gun to his child when they're too young to handle it. That's not a good father. A good father would not give a bunch of wealth to an 18 year old. Even some of the wealthiest men that have ever lived, their children don't get the money until they're married, completed college, and sometimes there's provisos. They gotta be 30. I mean, they'll get taken care of, but they don't get it all because they know how dangerous it is to have that much money for a person who's not mature. God is waiting for you to grow up, and then he's gonna release something in your life that you never even imagined was possible.”

And that's an extra biblical view of how God does things. Amen. It's extra biblical. You say why? Well, what he told Abraham to start walking and didn't even tell him when he was going. See, sometimes in the kingdom, it's like a ship. You have to have movement to steer a ship. If you tether a ship to a dock and turn the wheel, nothing happens, does it? But if you give that ship a little movement, turn the wheel, then you can give it direction. And let me tell you something. If that's what God's waiting for. He's waiting for the faith for you to move, and then God will direct you.”
