#CountedRighteousByGrace
“It's when he paid the price for us to be the righteousness of God. Amen? Amen. And like Abraham, Abraham was counted righteous by grace through faith before he created the universe. So guess what? You and I have, been counted righteousness by grace through faith before he created not just the earth, but the universe and everything. We we started on his mind, then he said they need a place to live. Mhmm. They need a place to operate. So he did that, and then he created us and put us on the earth. Isn't that amazing? Yes. Ephesians one four in the passion translation. Let's look at this again and find out why he did all this.”

#RememberGodsGoodness
“``Something just, again, a reminder of something that we desperately need to hear. I I don't know if it's just me or if it was y'all, but I'd it it definitely called out to me, and I I thank you, the Holy Spirit. But God is better than we remember. God is more merciful than we deserve. God is more loving than we can ever comprehend. God is more faithful than we often acknowledge. So my challenge this week for you is not to forget how God has been so good to you and how he continues to be good for you and how faithful he is to you. So this week, remember his blessings, trust his mercy, rest in his forgiveness, and worship him with all of your soul. Because when we remember who God is, our perspective changes, our heart changes, our attitude changes, and our lives are changed.”

“Something as simple as water becomes a means by which Christ comes to you, washes away all of your sins, and gives you this new birth in Christ. This drowning of the old Adam and this resurrection of a new birth, a new person redeemed and clothed in the righteousness of Christ because the kingdom breaks in here with Christ and his spirit. And it's not dependent on anything we can do. It's not dependent on how it looks. You could go to the biggest cathedral in Europe where thousands of Christians gather together to hear the word and receive his sacrament, and the kingdom is there.”

#FirstInGodsHeart
“The whole creation was for us. He created it all for us to have a place to live, and then he brought us in. But who came first? We've always come first. Yes. We were his thoughts, his prayers, his heart, his purpose, and all before he did any of this. And you gotta understand the timing of things. Yes. If you don't understand the timing of things that you don't you sleep you still might say I'm a sinner saved by grace. No. You're not a sinner. I'm a sinner. That's not your identity. We have a new time space continuum, and I'm a saint saved by grace. No. And and how do you know? Because the Bible says even before I was born, this took place, and he knew I would choose us. We do have a part to play, and that's important before the foundation. Father, we just thank you for this word. Thank you, Father. Thank you for us to see”

#UniverseMadeForUs
“before God created the universe, he chose us. All of that science, all of what it takes to get the universe to be, to stay, to work, to run, to bear seed. All of that he created before us because he created all that for us. Yes. Amen. We're the ones that he's talking about here. I did all this. Scientists are trying to figure out why how does all this work? Well, god just told us. Yep. He told you everything you need to know, every scientific, mathematician, whatever. That's this is a good, easy way for me to understand it. I could say, okay. How did god created all this? And what's the foundation of the earth? There's the foundation. Everything there, the whole system. Right? And so,”

#MadeForUs
“So I'm gonna say this. In all of creation, in all the universe, in all of its scientific and mathematic complexity Yeah. God did it all for us. Yes. Every bit of it. Yes. Every bit. The space talk the tinium is because of us. Yes. It's for us, and we are God's favorite, most loved. God's purpose of creation, why, is you and me.”

#WorshipIsResponse
“``So worship is not the only response, it's the proper response. The proper response is always worship. So that's the last main point. And so we go back to it here. David goes back to it in closing. Worship is the natural response when you see who truly God is. If you give him acknowledgement, you you understand, you give him gratitude, and you're thankful for what he has done in your life, you can't help yourself but to worship, but to praise God. Amen. And so you think about it, all those are different parts of worship. We're worshiping here, him him here in song. We're I'm worshiping him now and preaching to you. Jeff Smith is worshiping back there with the kids because he's leading the same class that I have. Rachel does that. We all worship in different ways, but we're called to worship because there is no other response that we should have to a God who loves us, who knows no boundaries, his mercy is great.”

#MercyOverFailure
“``So this this is so there's just so much here. There's actually two main points in this whole section right here. But first, is God's mercy is greater than our failures? So you think about that passage as I've read and how many different attributes of God. It's one of the best descriptions of God in scripture, one would argue, that the Lord is compassionate, gracious, slow to anger, full of faithful love. Some translations might say loving kindness, steadfast love. You see it numb named in a number of different ways. His love and mercies know no end. David knew failure and regret much like we know failure and regret. Right? And David knew that it was he was likely to mess up in a big way, but he also knew the mercy of God. Just so I want each of us to remind ourselves of just how merciful God is.”

#ListYourBlessings
“``But forgetfulness is just not a a memory problem. That's what David is trying to to state here in these first few verses because he knows it's something that he struggles with himself, but it's a spiritual problem as well. He can he knows his soul, his body, his mind can drift off because of what's happening him to him day in, day out. And he loses that focus on what and forgets about what God has already done. I mean, does that sound familiar to to some of you here? I know it's familiar to me. And so what does he do? He starts taking notes. He starts listing the blessings of God. He forgives. He heals. He redeems. He crowns. He satisfies.”

#HourglassOfTime
“I see an hourglass being a powerful illustration of Psalm 90. See, in hourglass, you have this sand falling. So the top sand represents the time that we still have. As the sand pours through, the sand that falls represents the time that we are spending right now. Time falling, sand falling. And the sand that's gathered at the bottom represents the time that's gone. It's past. And here's what's sobering, that the sand does not stop falling just because you're not paying attention. You can ignore it, you can distract yourself, you can keep busy, but the sand keeps falling, the clock keeps ticking.”
