Modern Champlin Churches

These congregations emphasize contemporary worship with live bands, practical teaching, and tech-forward services, often with livestreams for commuters. Many meet in updated facilities with easy access off Highway 169 and attract residents from newer neighborhoods near Elm Creek Park Reserve.

Riverfront Traditional Churches

Along the Mississippi River corridor and West River Road, long-established congregations offer liturgical services, choir or organ music, and a steady rhythm of seasonal observances. They draw multi-generational families from older riverfront neighborhoods and across the Anoka–Champlin bridge.

Young Adult Churches in Champlin

Ministries here focus on college-age and early-career adults with late-morning or evening services, mentorship, and opportunities to serve. Small groups often gather near Mississippi Point Park or along the 169 corridor, connecting grads from Champlin Park High School and nearby campuses.

Service-Driven Community Churches

These churches emphasize hands-on outreach—food shelf partnerships, school supply drives for families around Jackson Middle School, and river or Elm Creek cleanup days. Seasonal service events commonly pop up at Andrews Park and in neighborhood cul-de-sacs, reflecting Champlin’s tight-knit, volunteer-minded culture.

“I mean, we're sitting around here fighting for camp. It is always a spiritual battle in in enough time, attitudes, money, dealing with the city, dealing with other family. It just is. It's a spiritual thing. And so we don't see the opposition as, oh, no. God's left us. We're off track. God's not in this. We we we made a wrong turn. The enemy wants to discourage you. The enemy wants to destroy the plans God has. The enemy wants you to go back to the couch and watch TV. Mhmm. That's just the truth. And so when you get opposition, especially when you're doing what God just broke your heart on, when you're doing that, that should motivate you a wee bit of like, okay. I'm on to something. Yeah.”

“It's easy to think, that's not true. I've been putting my trust in God, and I've still experienced harm in my life. So it's important for us understand how the Jewish people would have sung this song. Their understanding wasn't that God is going to prevent all harm. Their understanding was, God, you will preserve us through the harm that this life throws at us. You will preserve us. There's an eternal perspective that says, you will preserve us. This song is not a promise that harm would never hit. This is poetry to remind them where to put their trust when it does. That's different for each of us. Sometimes it means he gives us wisdom to navigate life's challenges. Sometimes it means he surrounds us with people to encourage us when we need it the most. Sometimes it means he gives us strength to endure what we're going through. I want God to just, when something's hard, just pick me up and carry me over And oftentimes, what God does is give me the strength to get through it. And sometimes, heals or he provides or he does something supernatural. Sometimes, he convicts us of sin and he redirects our path.”

“These are times when an old thing ends and a new one begins. Maybe there's some identity stuff that happens in there. These are moments of transformation that can bring both grief and joy. The bittersweetness of life, and God is with you. God says there is life and there will be new life in a new way. And sometimes, it is the very real grief at the ways our neighbors have not been treated as even the sparrows are by God. It is grief that some don't have enough food. It is grief that some don't have a safe place to stay, that some are separated by policies that have caused fear. And God says, this is not the end. There will be new life. There is a new way. You are not of less value than a sparrow. I know each hair on your precious head.”

“What breaks your heart? Because what we do is we watch the nightly news. Somebody should do something about that. I have a feeling if you've ever said somebody should do something about that, that's you. And when you say somebody should do something about that, you just printed out a receipt that I would read unmotivated. It really doesn't break your heart, or you're lazy, or you have a lot of excuses, or whatever it is. You just printed out a receipt that's not backing somebody should do something about it. Because if somebody should be doing something about it, your eyes saw the need, you should meet the need. So what kind of receipts are you printing out? Because people are watching you.”

“```We need men that are proud to be followers of Jesus and saying, Jesus, I'm all in with you, and I'm all in to my wife because you created her. I said I do. I meant I do all the time in everything. I'm praying for her quick, easy, loving prayers for her. Is that you? That's good. And if you have kids, would the kids listen to this go, that's my dad. That's good. Or would the receipts that they're keeping on you go, my dad's so far from that. He says he wants to, but I've never seen it.”

“There there that's not the receipt you're really, really concerned about. It's with your heavenly father. You work as you're working for Christ. So when we've been working all week and doing some mundane projects or or not our skill sets to help get camp off, it's not to please Lily or Holly, though I wanna honor them because they're my teammates. It's God, did I do my best today? Because I'm working for you ultimately. I'm going to I want to have a track record with you, God, that I'll do what I said I will do even if it's hard and not easy and I don't understand everything. I'm gonna do what I said I do. God, I I hope you're keeping the receipts of my heart.”

“He he knows the journey that you're on, and he knows the help that you need. He he knows our strengths and our weaknesses. He knows our thoughts and our fears and our insecurities. He knows our problems. He knows what brings us joy and what devastates us. He he knows who is for us and who is against us. He knows the the difficulties that are on the path ahead of us, the pitfalls. He knows every decision we make. He he knows what is best for us. He knows what is destructive for us. He knows where we're at in life. God knows all about us and watches over us. Think of how powerful this is for the Jewish people as they travel to remind themselves, God, you've been faithful in the past. You've been faithful in the past. You continue to watch over us.”

“``And my help doesn't come from the other gods who stand on the mountains. I'm looking to the one who made the mountain. And what a game changing shift in perspective. Wouldn't it be amazing if for you and I, whenever we are facing fear or uncertainty, we could get into the habit of reciting the words, the lyrics of this ancient song. Like, you know, when I'm afraid, I look to the doctors. I look to the scientists. There's so much unknown. I look to the authors. I look to the politicians. I look to the CEOs. I I look to the economists. I look to the stock market. Does my help come from them? No. My help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth. He's bigger than all of it. That's a big statement.”
44s
“Wouldn't it be amazing if in the middle of the unknown, if in the middle of the anxiety and the fear, we learned to just recite the lyrics of this ancient song? God, I'm in the middle of this, and I'm just filled with fear and anxiety, and I just don't know how this is gonna work out, here's what I can tell you. I look at everything around me. Does my help come from there? My help comes from you. You're the one who has made it all. You're so big. You're so vast. You're so powerful. God, it doesn't mean hard times aren't gonna come, but I just know that you'll preserve me through it. You'll guide me every step of the way.”

“``This is the gospel promise. Dear ones here at servant of Christ, the promise that you so completely known and loved. You are known and there is nothing that can take that away. Death will not be the last word. It is not the last word ever. And here's your reminder that death comes in many ways. Some are life transitions that are that are good. Right? The change in employment, schooling, becoming an adult, retiring. These are times when an old thing ends and a new one begins. Maybe there's some identity stuff that happens in there. These are moments of transformation that can bring both grief and joy. The bittersweetness of life, and God is with you. God says there is life and there will be new life in a new way.”
