64s
“``This is the gospel promise. Dear ones here at servant of Christ, the promise that you so completely known and loved. You are known and there is nothing that can take that away. Death will not be the last word. It is not the last word ever. And here's your reminder that death comes in many ways. Some are life transitions that are that are good. Right? The change in employment, schooling, becoming an adult, retiring. These are times when an old thing ends and a new one begins. Maybe there's some identity stuff that happens in there. These are moments of transformation that can bring both grief and joy. The bittersweetness of life, and God is with you. God says there is life and there will be new life in a new way.”

The bittersweetness of life, and God is with you. God says there is life and there will be new life in a new way. And sometimes, it is the very real grief at the ways our neighbors have not been treated as even the sparrows are by God. It is grief that some don't have enough food. It is grief that some don't have a safe place to stay, that some are separated by policies that have caused fear. And God says, this is not the end. There will be new life. There is a new way. You are not of less value than a sparrow.”
