#LivingGodWalks
“Because that isn't the God, the living God. Right? The living god from Genesis five all the way to the revelation, he walks with his people. Right? When he with Israel, when he takes them out of Egypt, you know what he does? He lives among them in a tent because god's like, I'm hanging out with you guys. God has always wanted to be with his people. But in many if you don't know the living God and you're practicing a religion that doesn't get there, they can't tell you're gonna experience the living God because you won't. But here we see Enoch, he has faith because you can't walk with an invisible God without faith. Right? How do you walk with God unless you believe he exists? And here we're told in verse six, and believe that he rewards you for walking with him.”

“What are you willing to forsake for your faith? If God if God were to come to you this morning and say that I want that thing. That's what I want. That's an idol in your life. That takes too much of your time. It it could be a desire. Man, I wanna have this so bad. Man, I wanna do this so badly. I need this car or I need this and everything will work out. Again, having desires isn't wrong but it's wrong when those desires have you. Following Christ at times requires sacrifice. Now he's never gonna ask you to sacrifice your family. He did that with Abraham. He doesn't do that with us. Okay? Jesus is never gonna ask you to sacrifice your family, sacrifice your spouse, sacrifice your kids, but he may ask you to to forsake some friends. Jesus may ask you to forsake a way of thinking that you're in. Jesus may ask you to forsake a job, but if you love the Lord, it'll always work together for good. Remember, God never asks us to do anything that isn't for good. It's not for the ultimate good. It's not It might be uncomfortable for us. It might be painful at the time, but it is for good for us. Not that it is good for us, but all things work together for good to them, to those that love God, to them that are called according to his purpose.”

“Do you know that the bible teaches us that every thing we experience. Now just think about that for a second. Every good thing, whether it's something we smell, something we see, something we taste, something we experience, whether it is laughter celebration or joy, every good thing that we experience comes from God. He is the source of every good thing. And so that means it is impossible for God to be boring, to be dull, to be bad, to be unloving, to be scary, to be nasty. It's impossible for God to be those things because he is the source of goodness, of joy, of life.”

“I love this because Peter could have done what everybody else did. He could have said here, here's some silver and gold. All silver and gold would have did was just be a temporary fix. But Peter said, no. What's been given to me, I give to you. The same spirit that's been given to me, I'm a give it to you. The same miracle working power that's been given to me, I'm a give to you. What God has done for me, I'm gonna make it happen for you. The same favor that's on my life, I'm a give it to your life. The same grace that's on me, I'm gonna give it to you. So the purpose of what God does to you is to go through you. It's not supposed to stop at you. So I wanna make sure I'm giving it away. Right? So Jesus, he could have said, hey, silver and gold. That's a temporary fix, but then he says, Jesus Christ of Nazareth walk. And what that gave him? It gave him an eternal transformation.”

“And that's what we all need to bring change in our lives. We need to see and be confronted with Jesus, the son of God. And an encounter with Jesus can only go two ways. You know? It there'll never be nothing that happens. They'll always either be, no I choose my way and I choose to move away from you Lord, or it'll be, yes Lord and we'll move in closer to the Lord. There is no middle ground. Because if you stay in the middle ground and go don't go towards him, you're actually going away. Yes. There's there's no sitting on the fence once you've heard about Jesus. Amen? Praise God, man. Yes. And so who are you Lord? The question that he asked in these scriptures is the most important question any of us will ever answer. Because all of our eternity hinges on that fact. Hinges on the answer that we give. Who are you Lord? It's the most important question that we can answer or we could ask in our heart and receive an answer by God from. Amen? Yeah because Jesus is the living word. He is the living word of God. He's alive and alive forevermore and he is the word of God.”

“And our Lord taught us that when we put our hands to the plow, we have a righteous cause that we're pursuing. We are never to look back, but to persevere and to prevail. All the resources of almighty God and his word are available to us. He rules in the affairs of men, and nothing is too hard for him. He's the sovereign king of the universe with all power, all authority, and he is compassionate and gracious and ready to extend his love and his mercy back toward us again. So we need to learn to re bend our knees and humble our hearts and pray again. Let us be willing to be used of God to help turn this great nation back toward him. Let us stand in the gap and make our lives to be salt and light in our families and in our workplaces. God wants to come and bless us and to forgive our sins and to heal our land. And I'm ready for it. How about you?”

“Jacob admits that he thought Laban might forcibly try and keep his his family and that would prevent them from being able to leave. And so, we find that Jacob still after having this encounter with God, after being reminded of the wonderful promises that God had in store for him, still still this man wrestled with fear. Even though God told him to return home, even though God had spoken to him in these powerful ways, still he remained fearful. And church, there is such an important lesson here for us. Because faith and fear are are often at battle within the heart of a believer. Amen? We know the promises of God. We know in our hearts what God wants to do and desires to do and is in through us, but then there's the fear. Oh, god. I know you're calling me to do this, but how? How am I gonna pay the bills? Or how am I gonna be able to do that? How can I step into this position? Right? All the fear, all the insecurities can begin to consume us. You see, fear looks at circumstances, but faith looks to the Lord.”

#OkayToBeFrustratedWithGod
“And like any relationship that you would walk with somebody, it means sometimes you might be frustrated with God. Sometimes in my life, things have happened. I'm like, God, why? Like, I don't get this, and I'm not happy about it. Now, of course, you wanna do it respectfully. God is God, and there should be a certain awareness in your mind, though I don't get it. There's gotta be an explanation because I know God's good and loving. But there are times where it's okay to be frustrated, and it's okay to express that to God”

#SeekGodRewards
“Do you have faith that believes if you sincerely seek after God, he will reward you? That's what scripture teaches us. Do you have a faith that believes that because Jesus died, you can now walk with god god not in fear of judgment but in loving fellowship? Is that the kind of god you worship? That you can have sweet fellowship with him because if that's what you believe, then spend time with him. If the God of all the world, the one who can make stars and galaxies and mountains and wind and rain and hurricanes says, hey, spend some time with me. You'd be a fool. Not to, especially if he's inviting you on good terms. And in Jesus Christ, we're on good terms with God. So take advantage of it. Don't believe lies that say, doesn't wanna see you. God wants to see you, and he wants to transform you, and he wants you to be strengthened and loved. So please do that this week.”
