#ForgivenAndFavored
“Part of what I believe helps you start to love God more and experience his love is realizing what you've been forgiven of. If you if you worship a God who doesn't actually think that he punishes people, you don't really ever understand what you've been given. He literally wiped the sleek clean. He's a he's a fair judge, but he's a judge in the Bible. And so when when when you walk with God, it's this idea that you get this gift. He wants to be with you because he's cleansed you from your sin, and now he likes to be with you. He likes to hear what's going on in your life, and he looks on you with favor through Jesus Christ.”

#JesusWithYou
“``What does that mean? Well, it means if you think it's all up to you to figure out this journey of faith, it tells us Jesus is with you. You're not alone. Jesus is helping you become the kind of Christian God wants you to be. He perfects our faith, meaning he will be with you till the day you die. Jesus, when he was on earth, he said, all the father has given me, I will lose none. Why? Because he's with us like a good shepherd. He walks with us, and he guides us, and he helps our faith grow strong in him.”

#SeekGodRewards
“Do you have faith that believes if you sincerely seek after God, he will reward you? That's what scripture teaches us. Do you have a faith that believes that because Jesus died, you can now walk with god god not in fear of judgment but in loving fellowship? Is that the kind of god you worship? That you can have sweet fellowship with him because if that's what you believe, then spend time with him. If the God of all the world, the one who can make stars and galaxies and mountains and wind and rain and hurricanes says, hey, spend some time with me. You'd be a fool. Not to, especially if he's inviting you on good terms. And in Jesus Christ, we're on good terms with God. So take advantage of it. Don't believe lies that say, doesn't wanna see you. God wants to see you, and he wants to transform you, and he wants you to be strengthened and loved. So please do that this week.”

#FixYourEyesOnJesus
“And so Jesus is both the foundation of our faith, and he's the one who's perfecting our faith. And so what we're called to do as Christians is pretty simple. Keep your eyes on Jesus. What could you keep your eyes on? Well, you can look at all the problems in the world. You can look at politics. You can look at your finances. You can look at your relationships. But what are we called to keep our eyes on? Fixed on Jesus. And that's what we see these people who came before us. That's how they got through life. They they had faith in God, and they kept their eyes on the Lord.”

#LivingGodWalks
“Because that isn't the God, the living God. Right? The living god from Genesis five all the way to the revelation, he walks with his people. Right? When he with Israel, when he takes them out of Egypt, you know what he does? He lives among them in a tent because god's like, I'm hanging out with you guys. God has always wanted to be with his people. But in many if you don't know the living God and you're practicing a religion that doesn't get there, they can't tell you're gonna experience the living God because you won't. But here we see Enoch, he has faith because you can't walk with an invisible God without faith. Right? How do you walk with God unless you believe he exists? And here we're told in verse six, and believe that he rewards you for walking with him.”

#GodIsNearNotDistant
“And what I love about that is I've lived around the world. I've been around a lot of different religions. A lot of people have a concept of God, and you might be one of them, where, like, God created the world and then he's kind of distant. He's somewhere out there, but we don't we're not sure where. But already in Genesis chapter five, we see what God really wanted from people was to realize he walks with us. We're gonna look at what that means. But but God is what it clearly means is God is close. Right? Like, when you walk with somebody, it means they're next to you. It doesn't mean they're far out.”

#HonestWalkWithGod
“But the point is, when you walk with someone, it's a pretty intimate thing, Right? You go for a walk. What I do with Andrea when we go for walks is I open up my heart. Right? I talk about my dreams, what I'm frustrated by, what's going well, how how our family's doing. what God wants and what I believe this passage is teaching us, when you walk with God, the idea is that it's honest and authentic. A lot of people think, like, I'm just supposed to give God, like, specific words or I have to say it a certain way. What God wants from you is your heart.”

#OkayToBeFrustratedWithGod
“And like any relationship that you would walk with somebody, it means sometimes you might be frustrated with God. Sometimes in my life, things have happened. I'm like, God, why? Like, I don't get this, and I'm not happy about it. Now, of course, you wanna do it respectfully. God is God, and there should be a certain awareness in your mind, though I don't get it. There's gotta be an explanation because I know God's good and loving. But there are times where it's okay to be frustrated, and it's okay to express that to God”
