Hey, if you're a veteran, or if you're active duty, would you please stand up? Awesome. Don't sit down yet, if you don't mind. If you are connected to one, like if your son or daughter or brother, sister, mom, or dad is in the military, would you stand up as well and represent them? Awesome. Awesome. Please don't sit down yet. I'm sorry. If you have a measure of faith, which I know you do, would you just reach out your hand to these fine folks? If you're sitting next to them, just touch them on the shoulder, and would you agree with me in prayer for them?
Father, we love you today, and in Jesus' name, we pray for these folks, and Lord, the ones that are deployed right now, God, that you would watch over them, that you'd protect them in the name of Jesus. Father, spare their lives in the name of Jesus. We pray against any mishap, accident, or just really dumb thing that can happen overseas, or just wherever they are, Lord. We pray against the enemy, Lord, not only the Satan, but the enemies that we have as a country. I pray, Father, that you'd bind them up in Jesus' name.
And Lord, we pray for them every single day as they're away from their family, that you would give them comfort and assurance, knowing that you're here taking care of them, and that you know where they are, and that we see them, and that you see them, God, and you love them. So, Father, we also pray for the ones that are standing instead of their son or daughter or relative today. Father, help them to show the love that they want to their connected one who's in the armed forces, and God, would you speak through them? We pray for them encouragement whenever they get to talk to them. And Lord, we pray all this in Jesus' name. Amen. Amen. Let's give them one more hand.
Well, good morning to you. Good morning online. So glad you joined us. Got a little story for you. Legend has it that there was a man who was lost in the desert. He was dying of thirst. He stumbled on this old shack, and next to the shack was an old rusty water pump and a jug of water, and the jug of water had a little note attached to it. The note said this: the pump is good, but it's going to need priming. If you pour the water in the jug into the pump, it'll displace all the air, and then the pump will be able to pump, and it'll be able to pump all the water that you need.
So the man at this point had a choice, didn't he? He could drink the water in the jug and survive for a few more hours and get that instant gratification of, you know, he's dying of thirst, and he wants some water really bad. He could do that, or he could throw away all common sense, and he could pour all the water that's in the jug into the pump in belief that it would unlock this great river of water, and it would save his life, and he could have all he wanted.
So he took a leap of faith. He poured the water into the pump, and after he did that, he was able to drink the water that he needed. He did that. He moved that handle up and down about ten times, and he started to think, you know, nothing happened, and he started to think, man, did I make the wrong decision or what? But then all of a sudden he got a little trickle out of the pump, and a little more of a trickle, and then a little more of a trickle, and then something happened—it started gushing water big time. I mean, it was making, yeah, it was just gushing a lot of water.
So he grabbed the water, drank it all down, and just got a shower and did everything he could do, and he got enough relief. He went into the shack and he got all the little containers they had, filled them with water, and then he went on his way. He got out of the desert and he made it home. Oh, and he left one full jug of water with the same note for the next person he had faith would. Would you believe that he had faith in that little note? He wasn't a hundred percent sure, but he definitely had some faith.
And I want to talk about faith again this morning. The Bible says that if we don't have faith, we can't please God. So the question I have for you this morning right off the bat is: do you want to please God? Do you want to please God? All right, well, that's wonderful. Well, if you want to please God, turn to Matthew chapter 9, and he's going to love you even if you don't. Turn to Matthew chapter 9.
You know, in three short years of Jesus's ministry on earth, he healed a lot of people. For the most part, he healed the physical needs of physical healings, from restoring the sight to the body and the mind, and the mind to the body, and curing leprosy. I mean, Jesus made his power and his love known to mankind. And in Matthew chapter 9, he made a paralyzed man walk again. He raised a girl from the dead, if you've ever known that, or if you've ever read that, you know that. And he healed a hemorrhaging woman—all she had to do was touch the hem of his garment, and she was healed automatically.
Now, the Bible says in verses 28 and 29, and that's where we're going to be this morning, that he healed two blind men. So let's read that. Chapter 9 of Matthew, verse 28 and 29. If you're there, say, "I'm there." All right, if you're with me, say, "I am." Super.
When he had gone indoors, the blind men came to him, and he asked them, "Do you believe that I am able to do this?" "Yes, Lord," they replied. And then he touched their eyes and said, "According to your what? According to your what? According to your faith, let it be done to you." According to your faith. So faith was the key for these two blind men to get healed, would you say? Yes, according to your faith.
When Jesus asked, "Do you believe that I'm able to do it?" they said, loud, resounding, "Yes." Yes. Now, I don't know, but just to prove his power, do you think that if they would have had a different response to Jesus, you know, if they would have had, well, he said, "Do you believe I can heal you?" Well, you know, I might as well, I don't know, but maybe I'll give it a shot, dude. You know, I don't think Jesus would have healed them. How about you? No, it was because of their faith. And their key to being healed was their faith.
Just like the key for us, for God's wisdom, for God's plan, for God's purpose. The key for us, for our life, your life, and my life, the most courageous thing that you and I can do is to live our lives in a life of faith. Constantly turning to God, daily turning to God, moment by moment turning to God. To be all in, so to speak, when it comes to our relationship with God. You believe that?
God says to us, you know what? You get to choose how much I bless you in your life. You get to choose. If you choose that I can bless you a lot, then we can get a lot of things done. If you believe in, if you have enough faith just to get a little bit done, then we're going to get just a little bit done. And if you don't have faith that we can't do anything, then guess what, Carl? We're not going to be able to do anything in life.
Jesus said, it depends on your faith. According to your faith, let it be done unto you. So let me ask you, if Jesus was to come unto you, come to you—I've been reading King James Version—come unto you. If Jesus was to come unto you and say, "Be it according to your faith, be it unto you," what would you do? Would the two of you get a lot of things done? Or would the two of you get a little things done, a few things done? Or would you and God get just nothing done? Right now, if he came to you right now, would you get a lot, a little, or none? According to your faith. Amen.
Well, God says there's no faith—excuse me, where there's no faith, there's no miracles. Where there's no faith, there's no miracles. Faith is the key to the miracles in your life. Do you believe that? Faith is the key. And if we're not seeing any miracles in our lives, there's a good chance that we are not stepping out in faith often enough. Do you believe that? Can I hear amen?
All right. What is ridiculous faith? I'll answer that for you. It's when you live on the edge of your comfort zone, kind of like swimming in the deep end of the pool with no floaties. Getting out of your comfort zone. Yours and my finest hours in life is when we step up and when we step out and take risks in Jesus' name. Those are the best times in our life. It's when you know that you're doing what God wants you to do.
So what you do is you move against your fears, get out of your comfort zone, step up, step out, and do what God's telling you to do and trust him with the outcome. That's faith. God wants us to be people of ridiculous faith. Can you say ridiculous faith? Ridiculous faith. People who step up and step out in spite of their fears, and they refuse to back down when things get tough.
God wants us to bravely follow him into the future that he's planned for us. And while so many believers are kind of shrinking back and maybe not taking that step, God wants us to be people of ridiculous faith. And while so many believers are kind of shrinking back and maybe not taking that step in faith, could it be that you and I could take that step forward, get out of our comfort zone, and do what God's calling us to do? But you know what? It's going to take faith. Say faith. Say faith.
So let me ask you right now. What battle are you facing? What battle are you facing right now in your life? Is God challenging you right now in your life to be brave? Is he challenging you to be brave in your marriage? Is he challenging you to be brave at work? Or maybe at school? Men, is God challenging you to be the spiritual leader in your house? Is he challenging you to have faith in God in an area of your life that you've kind of been turning away from every time He brings your attention to it? Oh, there it is again, God. Well, let's talk about this.
My prayer is for us to have this kind of faith, you and I personally and corporately as a church, that we could have ridiculous faith. Say ridiculous faith. Ridiculous faith.
So what exactly is ridiculous faith? What is faith? What is faith? Rick Ward says faith is like a diamond in that it's multifaceted and there's a whole lot of aspects to it. If you look at it from this direction, you see something else. If you look at it from this direction, you see something else. And that direction, something else, something else, something else. That faith has a lot of different aspects.
So this morning I want to look at six. Six different aspects of faith. Would you like to know them? All right, you got a pencil? You got a note? All right, let's take some notes. Six aspects of faith. Turn to Hebrews chapter 11. Hebrews chapter 11.
Hebrews chapter 11 is kind of like God's Hall of Fame for people with faith. Because it talks about the great heroes of faith that were all through the Bible. So here's what I believe about six aspects of faith.
Number one, faith is believing when you don't see it. Faith is believing when you don't see it. It's seeing something before it happens. Anybody can see something happen and say, "Oh, okay, well, I know that's going to happen again." You know, if it's raining outside, you can say, "Okay, I know that another drop of rain is going to hit the ground." There's no faith in that. There's no challenge in that.
We've all heard the expression. Probably we'll have all said it. "I'll believe it when I what?" "I'll believe it when I see it." And until I see it, I'm not going to believe it. But God says, "No, you got it backwards, son. You'll see it when you believe it." Say, "I'll see it when I believe it." Say it with gusto. "I'll see it when I believe it."
You know, there's yet to be any kind of major achievement in history that wasn't attached to faith somewhere down the line. Somebody wouldn't have believed it. But before it got done, or excuse me, somebody believed something before it got done. Someone dreamed it first. Before it came to reality.
You're able to hear me right now through this microphone on my head. And you'll notice that there's no cords connecting me to Susie back there in the sound room. There's no wires connecting me to anything. I'm up here just with this little battery pack in it. And that's it. It's called a wireless microphone. It was invented in 1957. And, you know, most of us were never born. And then where were we? No, I'll say most of us were not born in 1957. So we don't really know what it was like to have a handheld mic with a cord. But this was invented in 1957. And it has revolutionized every form of communication from music to teaching, from radio to Broadway shows. And the inventor's name was Raymond Litke. And he was an electrical engineer who had visualized the ability to be free from cords and wires and everything, but still be able to amplify your voice. It was a dream. And his dream came to fruition because he saw it happening before it was done. He believed that it was possible.
First aspect of faith: Faith is believing when you don't see it.
Number two, faith is obeying when you don't understand it. Faith—obeying when you don't understand it. A good example of this is Noah. The Bible says in verse seven, it was by faith that Noah built a large boat to save his family from the flood. He obeyed God who warned him about things that had never happened before.
I mean, think about this. You know, before God told Noah to build an ark, it had never rained on Earth. The earth was watered by springs that came up through the ground, you know, maybe something like—we don't really know for sure—but maybe something like the dew on the grass, only in a real heavy kind of form. So when God said, "No, I want you to build an ark," Noah probably thought, "Well, what's an ark?" "You know, well, it's going to rain, Noah." "Well, what's rain, God?" "Build a boat." "Well, what's a boat, God?" I don't know. He'd never seen it before. He couldn't imagine it. So he didn't understand it, but because he had faith, even though he didn't understand it, Moses obeyed God and he saved mankind.
Isn't that an awesome story? How many of you read the story of Noah? Boy, if you haven't, you gotta go read it. It's in Genesis. You gotta read it. It's a wonderful story, and it's a whole lot more than just Noah and these little animals running around. Great story.
Another example was Abraham, and he's in verse eight. It was by faith that Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land that God would give him as his inheritance. He went without knowing where he was going. God said, "Okay, I want you to go. I want you to pack up your family, all your cattle, all your camels, everything you own, and I want you to go, but I'm not telling you where you're going." How would you like that? That was faith. That was obedience before he knew or before he understood it.
In 2006, I was a pastor working over at Big CBC in the administration end of ministry, and in 2006, my department was eliminated. Our senior pastor got a different vision, and it was a wonderful vision, but as a result, my department was completely eliminated—me and six other support staff. So I didn't know what to do, but right at that time, and that was the real challenge about Dave Brown's history. You can get a few...
I talked about a family trip wherever he was going, started in terms of his judgment teams for L4, and talked about these messages. He said, "First year of ministry, so you would graduate high or fourth year alongside several other little... to do what I didn't understand was I wouldn't miss an update, and I wasn't a burden no matter how many questions came or you just made that whole check and play."
And I'm standing in the bedroom today. His father said, "I didn't want to come here because we're going home. I'm starting. I didn't want to be jobless by us." As the heart of church Broderick sunrise today, and I wanted to follow his hall of the glory for everything. I'm going to tell you an in-depth story about that next week, but I'm so glad that we did.
So faith is believing when I don't see it. Faith is obeying when I don't understand it.
And number three, faith is giving before the blessing. Faith is giving before the blessing. Do you know that faith and giving go together? Faith and giving go together. And I'm talking about giving money, okay? This time, not necessarily time or anything like that, but this particular point right here is about faith and giving money.
Do you know that God uses your finances to test your faith? Oh, big time. There's two ways we can give. We can give by fear or we can give by faith. Giving by fear is looking at your checkbook and asking yourself, "Okay, what can I afford to give? What is safe for me to give? What's reasonable for me to give?" But giving by faith is when you say, "God, what do you want to give through me? How much do you want me to trust you, God? You want me to trust you with a lot, or you want me to trust you with a little?"
Did you know that we don't give to a church; we give through a church? We give through a church, and when you give through a church, that enables the church to do ministry. It enables the church to go out and enables the church to buy children's supplies, to buy adult supplies, to buy chairs, to pay the air conditioning bill. You don't give to a church; you give through a church. And when you do, God blesses it.
Hebrews 11:4: It was by faith that Abel brought a more acceptable offering to God than Cain did. Abel's offering gave evidence that he was a righteous man, and God showed his approval by his approval of his gifts. See, it wasn't the amount of Abel's offering; it was the attitude in which he gave his offering. He gave it in faith.
It's one thing to give when you have it to spare; it's another thing to give as a sacrifice. Some say, "God, if you give to me, I'll give you back. God, help me to make more money, and I'll start tithing." No, you won't. If you don't tithe than what you make now, probably never will, because the more money you make, guess what? The more you spend. I know that personally.
But when you do that, when you make your decisions on how you feel and base your decision on, you know, what feels good, you're living by your emotions. How many of you have ever lived by your emotions? Raise your hand. Oh yeah, everybody says absolutely, absolutely. And as a result, what happens? We end up being manipulated by our moods. We are manipulated by our moods.
But maturity is living by commitment instead of emotion. Boy, that's good. Write that down. Maturity is living by commitment instead of emotion. You know, Olympians, they don't get to be Olympians by training when they want to train. They don't get to be number one in the world by training when they feel like training or by practicing when they feel like practicing.
We don't become people of faith by obeying God only when we feel like it. Faith is being persistent. Faith is doing the right thing when you feel like giving up. So how do we develop that kind of persistence? I'd really like to know. How about you? How do we develop that kind of persistence that continues on in faith even when we feel like, "Man, I can't go another day"?
Verse 27 helps us to know that it was by faith that Moses left the land of Egypt, not fearing the king's anger—he's talking about Pharaoh. He kept right on going because he kept his eyes on the one who is invisible. How do we do that? How do we develop that kind of persistence? We keep our eyes on the one who is invisible. In other words, we keep our eyes on who? On God.
We keep our eyes fixed on God. And look at that last sentence: he kept right on going because he kept his eyes on the one who is invisible. That's the key to persistent faith. It all boils down to, you know, what you're focused on. If you're focused on lack, you're probably going to get lack. If you're focused on blessing, guess what? You're going to receive blessing.
Now, that blessing comes in different ways. I'm not only talking about money, or I'm not necessarily talking about money, but Moses kept his eyes on God. We can't see God, can we? But we can keep our focus on him. There's an old saying, and my dad used to say it all the time. Oh no, no, excuse me, this one is from Rick Warren. He said, "If you look at your problem, you'll be distressed. If you look inside, you'll be depressed. But if you look to Christ, you'll be at rest." Isn't that good? I love that.
I'll give that—I should have put that on. Let me read that again. If you look at your problems all the time, you'll be distressed. If you look inside, you'll be depressed. But if you look to Christ, you'll be at rest. You'll be at rest. It's all about what you have your eyes on.
There's two more facets of faith, so hang with me. We got number four, right? Okay, fifth facet of faith: Faith is thanking God before I receive it. Faith is thanking God before I receive it. The story of Joshua is a great example. You know Joshua, right? Joshua fought the battle of Jericho. Jericho.
Okay, it was by faith that the people of Israel marched. This is in verse 30. It was by faith that the people of Israel marched around Jericho for seven days, and after that—say after that—the walls came down. The walls came down after they marched. The Israelites had marched silently around Jericho for six days. On the seventh day, the Bible says they marched around it seven times and then gave a shout of praise, and what happened? The walls came a-tumbling down.
Great story. Have you ever read the story of Joshua in the battle of Jericho? Oh man, we got to start reading our Bible. Man, I know you probably just didn't want to raise your hand.
Anyway, if you and I wait till after a prayer has been answered to thank God, that's just gratitude. It's just gratitude. There's nothing wrong with gratitude. We sure should thank God for what he's done, but that's not faith. That's saying thank you, God, for what you did.
Faith is thanking God in advance for what you believe he's going to do. I'll say it again. Faith is thanking God in advance for what you think he's going to do, what you believe he's going to do. Thanking him that, hey, the answer is on its way, God, and I know you're going to give me the answer. It may not be the answer I want, but I know that you're going to give me an answer.
We thank him before we see it. Rick Warren says, "I've been reading a lot of Rick Warren stuff lately, and I love this. Faith is, if God tells you to go after Moby Dick in a rowboat, you take the tartar sauce with you." Yeah. Isn't that great?
All right, number six. Faith is trusting even when you don't get it. Faith is trusting even when you don't get it. Two facts about God: God hears prayers, and he answers prayers. Every single prayer you pray today, God hears, and God answers every single prayer that you pray. But God doesn't answer every single prayer—excuse me, God doesn't answer every single prayer like we want him to, does he? No. Sometimes the answer is yes—those are the ones we like. Sometimes the answer is no. Sometimes the answer is, "Are you serious? You want me to do what?" No. Sometimes it's, "Wait, wait." That's maybe the hardest one. I'd rather hear no than wait. I don't know about you.
Well, here's a question: does a parent give a child everything they ask for? No, it wouldn't be the loving thing to do, would it? If God doesn't give us everything we ask for, why? Because it's not the loving thing to do. God loves us, and just like you wouldn't give everything your toddler wants, God doesn't give us everything that we want because it's not the loving thing to do, and he knows what's best, doesn't he?
Unfortunately, God, you know, God's not a vending machine. Wouldn't that be nice? "Well, here you got here, God. Here's a couple of bucks. Now I really need this, this, and this." But he's not, and it's really disrespectful to treat him like one.
So what do you do when God says no? Do you get mad? You get mad? My dad used to say this. He said, "Carl, do you throw a pity party and only invite yourself?" I guess I threw a lot of pity parties when I was young. I was spoiled.
Sometimes we can't help but pray for God to remove a difficulty, right? Sometimes we can't help but pray to God for removing a problem, but there's nothing wrong with that. "God, help me through this time of my life. God, I really would like for you to do this." But let's not let it be the first thing out of our mouth when we get on our knees.
The Bible says that we pray, or excuse me, we praise, we thank, and then we ask. Praise, thank, and ask. Most of the time when we ask God to take something out of our life that's bringing a lot of pressure, God doesn't take it away, but he gives us strength to get through it, doesn't he? And he builds our strength. And he builds our faith through the things that he doesn't take away.
He's more interested in your character than he is in your comfort. He's more interested in making you whole than he is in making you happy. If God took away all of our problems, you know what we'd be? Spoiled brats. We would be spoiled brats. Instead, he gives us strength to get through them.
This hall of fame that we're going through today ends with a list of people who didn't get what they wanted to get. In fact, some of them suffered for their faith big time. Some of them died violent deaths. Some of them were tortured. Some of them were beaten. Some were put in prison. Some were stoned to death. Some were—one was sawed in two, for sure.
The Bible tells us this in verse 38. If you're there, say, "I'm there." If you're with me, say, "I'm with you." Okay. We're almost finished. They were too good for this world, wandering over deserts and mountains, hiding in caves and holes in the ground. All these people earned a good reputation because of their faith. He's talking about the people that we just talked about.
Okay. Because of their faith. Yet none of them received all that God had promised, for God had something better in mind for us so that they would not reach perfection without us. You know, living by faith, it doesn't exempt us from problems. No.
Anybody can trust God when things are going great. Yeah. Well, it's easy, right? Man, it's easy when you get the big fat raise at church or it's at church. Yeah. Okay, I'll take a big fat raise at church. Easy to do that, though, when you get the big fat raise at work. Easy to do that when you get the new car.
But real faith is built in the valleys of life. And sometimes trusting God is just trusting him with the things that you ask for, even though he doesn't give you what you ask for.
So how does God build our faith? He does it two ways. First way is through his Word. He builds our faith through his Word. Romans 10:17 says, "So then, faith comes by what?" Hearing. And hearing by the Word of God. The more you and I get into his Word, the more that you and I are going to grow spiritually.
Well, Carl, I just don't feel like I'm connected with God. It's like, you know, it's just like he's not speaking to me anymore, and I just feel distant. Well, are you reading every day? Are you reading the Bible? Well, no. That's the key. That's the key to staying close to God is reading the Bible and praying. You can't stay close to God if you don't read.
The second way God builds faith in us is through trials and tribulations. First Peter 1:7. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold. Though your faith is far more precious than mere gold, so when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.
Now maybe you're here today and you know, maybe you're ready to give up. Maybe give up on your marriage. Maybe you're here today and you're ready to give up maybe on your kids, on your prodigal kids, your adult prodigals. Maybe you're here and you're ready to give up on your dream.
You know, Raymond Litke never gave up on his dream for creating a wireless microphone. He kept on, and he kept on, and he kept on. Maybe you're here and you're ready to quit giving up your dream. And you know what? Maybe you're here and you're ready to give up on yourself.
Maybe you're here and you're saying, "You know what? Things are never going to change, and it's never going to get any better." If that's you and you've said that so many times that it has led you to a dangerous place in your life, can I tell you that this world is a better place with you in it?
So if you're thinking about taking yourself out of it, don't do it. Don't do it. Talk to somebody here before you leave. Talk to me. In fact, the elders, I know, Phil, you're in here. Ed is in here. Nina, you're in here. Chris, you're in here. Would you guys come up front after service? And would you just stand here and be ready for somebody that might be thinking about suicide? There's going to be somebody up here just for you if that's you.
But I believe God wants to say to all of us today, take courage. Don't give up. Keep believing when you don't see it. Keep obeying when you don't understand it. Keep persisting when you don't feel like it. And keep thanking me before you receive it. And keep trusting me even if you don't get it.
And if you and I will do that, God will internalize these six aspects of faith. And he'll work it all out in our lives. And I believe, I believe if we can internalize this, we can really get it in our spirit that God will give us ridiculous faith. Ridiculous faith.
Let's pray. Father, we love you today and we thank you for all your goodness and your mercy and your grace that you offer us so freely. And Lord, we want to lean on your grace and lean on your mercy right now. And Lord, we want to ask for your forgiveness. Lord, for our lack of faith. For our lack of obedience. Lord, in my life, I ask your forgiveness for that. For not believing before I see.
And if you're here today and you're going through something that you're just not sure God's going to do, and you're about ready to give up on it, and you don't feel like keeping on, keeping on, would you just raise your hand so I can pray for you? Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Father, I just—would you reach your hand out to these dear folks? Father, I just pray that you would meet these people at their need. Lord, these sweet people. Thank you, Lord, that they were honest enough to raise their hand. Father, meet them where they are, God. And I pray, God, that you would meet their need. Father, that you would give them the faith that they need to take one more step, and one more step, and one more step.
Lord, give them their spiritual eyes so they can see what they don't see now, even before they receive it. Bless them, Lord. Bless them in Jesus' name. Amen. Amen. Amen.
If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands.
Well, hey, this month is name tag month, so I see all the name tags. Thanks for doing that. You guys are good sports. Isn't it nice to know someone's name? Yeah. We'll do that again next week.
Men's Life Group met yesterday. They're going to meet two weeks from yesterday again. Remember, we have kids' lessons on Sunday morning at 10:30. Students are right in back of me at 10:30 on Sunday morning.
Halftimers. How many of you know what a halftimer is? A halftimer. It's not something that has to do anything to do with football. A halftimer is somebody that is halfway through their life. Kind of. I mean, they think anyway. So, you know, we're thinking maybe 50, 60 up or something like that. But, you know, you can be 40 and come, right? It doesn't matter.
The halftimers are a lot of fun because they don't care anymore. They just flat don't care. So if you'd like to join them, they're going to have a Christmas light celebration on December 14th. That's a ways away, but you can mark your calendar for that.
Just a note, we are going to have a candlelight Christmas Eve service. So we would love for you to come. We're going to have candles, and it's just going to be a real special time.
Okay? So as we go through this week, I pray that God would give you the faith that you need to take another step in the place, in the direction, and get out of your comfort zone and take a step in the right direction. Amen?
Next week, I'm going to give you some information that's going to require faith. Okay? I'm really looking forward to it. So if you know someone that's not here that normally goes, please ask them to come next Sunday because it'll be a special Sunday.
All righty? All right. God bless you. You have a great week. Oh, praise. That's this Friday. Oh my goodness. I'm so sorry. Praise and worship night is this Friday. This Friday. What's the date? November 15th. Praise and worship night. Shoot me now, would you? Just shoot me. What a special time to forget.
At 7 o'clock in this room, great time of worship. If you're here on Sundays and you think to yourself, "You know, I wish that, what's his name, wouldn't come up and preach. I just wish we could, you know, listen to music the whole, or sing praise the whole time." If you ever felt that way, this is the time to come.
Okay? So come on Friday night. We'll have a great, great time. You know, God works under the umbrella of praise and worship. Did you know that? God heals under the umbrella of praise and worship. So if you need to be saved, if you need to be healed, if you need to be encouraged, you make sure you come Friday night.
All right. Stand with me. God bless you. Thank you so much for coming, and we'll see you next week.
