Is anybody able to be honest and say you got some areas where you just don't completely believe just yet? Go ahead. You got a few areas in your life that you still have some trouble trying to believe, whether it be for your healing, whether it be for your finances, whether it be in your marriage, whether it be for your children. You got some areas. If you can be honest, say, "Father, I've got some areas where I need you to help my unbelief."
Remember I told you guys that there was a reason why God was having us do 60 parts to the gift of faith. I told you guys that there were some great testimonies that God was going to produce. Somebody shout, "Testimony!" There's a testimony that's coming today that I believe is going to bless your socks off, that I believe is going to absolutely change and revolutionize your faith. It's going to revolutionize the way that you think. It's going to revolutionize the way that you believe. It's going to revolutionize the way that you think about God and the supernatural.
God is absolutely about to do some things and say some things that's going to shake your faith. If you look at this place today, you still got to believe. I don't know what to tell you. If you leave this room today and you still have unbelief in your heart, I don't know what to tell you because if you would just tap in to what the Spirit of God will say today, you can and you will be free. Somebody shout, "Delivered!"
Remember, when you are being delivered, that means that you're leaving from one place and doing what? Going to the next. And so now we're moving out of unbelief into belief. We're moving out of this place of having trouble with doubt in our hearts and doubt in our minds, and we're moving to this place where we simply believe God.
As the believer, what is it your job to do? It's in the name: believe. It's a verb. Believe. It's a verb. It's an action word, which means it is something that God is calling you to do. It's something that God is saying, "Hey, I need you to be active in this." This is your profession—the profession of your faith. Your job description is only one bullet point in one line. There's only one thing on your resume as the believer: believe. You have one task and one bullet point, and that is to believe. Simply believe.
Somebody shout, "Believe!"
Now look at the definition of unbelief. It says the lack of religious belief, an absence of faith. So when you're walking in unbelief, you are walking in an absence of faith. And what does God say? Without faith, it's impossible to please God.
So now, if you're in this position of walking throughout your everyday life with an absence of faith, how are you pleasing God? How can God take pleasure in you when He said that the only way that you can please Him is through your faith? But if unbelief resides in your heart, if it resides in your mind, if it resides in your thought process, if it resides in your spirit, if it resides in your speaking, if it resides in every area of your life, then you are walking around not fulfilling and not being pleasing unto God. It's the absence of faith.
Now how is it the absence of faith when God said that I've dealt to each man the measure of faith? How is it that unbelief is causing you to be lacking in faith when God has given it to you? Because you have done nothing with what He gave you.
Y'all ever heard of "use it or lose it"? How many of you on your job be trying to get them days in because they do not roll over to the next year? If you don't use your 25 days for the year before the day... I mean, y'all, I know people—Sister Nene, she will stack them days and be off from Thanksgiving till February 14th. I'm at home. What you doing next week? Nothing, I'm still at home. She makes sure she uses them days before she loses them.
Your faith is the same way. If you keep having your faith and you're not using your faith, you will lose the very thing that God gave you. You'll lose the very thing that God gave you. Why? Because if you're in unbelief, you're not being settled in what it is that God has said to you.
We talked about this last week with Eve in the garden. She lost her belief. She lost her faith. She lost her peace. She lost her serenity. She lost her home. She lost her good thing—all because she did not believe the very thing that God said to her. And when the enemy came up, he was able to find an area of unbelief and exploit it to get her out of position.
The enemy is spotting areas in your life—your health, your finances, your marriage. He's finding areas where you do not completely believe God, and he said, "I'm going to exploit this until I can't exploit it no more so that I get you out of the position that God has called you to." Because the enemy knows that if you ever got an idea, if you ever got a real knowing of who you were, if you ever really got an understanding of what God was calling you to, if you ever really got an understanding that your healing in your body is not predicated on whether or not you have pain but on what God has already said about it...
If you ever got an understanding—sick preach! Satan already knows if you ever got a realization that it is finished. Your faith is not starting from right here. Your faith is not starting today. Your faith didn't start where you were born. Your faith started over 2,000 years ago on the cross when Jesus said, "It is finished."
And if you would just stand up and believe every word of God that comes from His mouth, when Jesus bowed His head and He gave up those three words that said, "It is finished," whenever the enemy tries to come with pain in your body, declare that my healing is already finished. Whenever the enemy tries to show up with things going on in your finances, I declare that it is finished. When the enemy shows up and your children are acting crazy and your spouse is acting stupid, I declare that it is already finished.
My faith isn't starting from here. I'm not trying to grow my faith from here. My faith was grown back on that cross on Calvary. My faith was grown the moment that Jesus declared, "It is finished."
But what is stopping you from having a realization and believing what God has said? See, the enemy knows your power, but for some reason, you don't. The enemy knows that if you got a revelation of who you are, the world will completely be changed. And if Satan knows that, what is stopping you from believing the same thing? Satan's got more belief in you than you do. Satan's got more belief in what God has said about you than you do. So much so that he's doing everything in his power to get you out of position.
You think that what you're facing right now in your body is by coincidence? You think that what you're going through right now is by coincidence? Listen, I said this before and I'll say it again: if your Father did not think you could pass this test... See, the disciples were led into the water when Jesus knew that there was a storm that was coming. But Jesus knew there's going to be somebody that's going to be willing to step out the boat. There's going to be somebody that's willing to walk on water with me.
There are some water walkers in this building, and if you would just get a revelation of what God has for you, if you would get a revelation of your power, if you would get a revelation of your authority, you too can step off the boat of unbelief and you can begin to walk on the water. You are a water walker! Hallelujah!
I told y'all God didn't come to play today. There's someone—a water walker—in you. Lord, there's a water walker in you. If you would get out the boat, there's somebody to stand up and just begin to step out. I dare somebody just to get it into your thought process and in your mind: I'm stepping out of the boat of unbelief. I'm stepping out of the boat of pain in my body. I'm stepping out of the boat of things going on in my finances. I'm stepping out of regret. I'm stepping out of everything that the enemy's tried to help me bound to, and I'm going to walk on water just like my Jesus.
As He is, so am I in this world. I have the same power, the same ability, the same thing that rests on His life. It belongs to me. I dare somebody just to declare, "I am a water walker!"
You're being delivered out of unbelief. That ship of unbelief, that boat of unbelief, we declare that it's sinking today. You don't have the boat to turn back to. It's no longer there. God is saying, "Keep walking and keep coming to me." And even in the event that you decide that you are walking and then there's something that scares you, it's okay because I'm going to be right there to pull you right back up, and you are still declaring, "I am a water walker!"
Thank you! I am a water walker! You've allowed unbelief too long to be your portion. You've allowed unbelief, regret, condemnation, and doubt to be your portion for too long. The enemy already knows what you are capable of. The Lord—somebody shout that I am a water walker!
When the enemy begins to show up, when things begin to happen, when life starts to take these twists and these turns, just begin to declare, "I am a water walker!" When the enemy comes in your finances, when everything around you begins to go crazy, just declare, "I am a water walker!"
It doesn't matter what it looks like. It don't matter whether the storms are raging, the seas are raging, whether they're coming. It don't matter what's happening in my life. I can walk on water, and I can defy gravity. I can defy space. I can defy time. I can defy matter. Why? Because I'm not operating from this natural world. You're trying to fight these things from a natural mindset. God said you have to do this from the supernatural.
Apostle Cynthia said this on Sunday: you were a being before you were human. You were a being before you were human. You are a supernatural being that has supernatural power that lives in two worlds at the same time, and you can do exceedingly abundantly above all that you even think that you can do. Why? Because God said, "I'm going to do through you exceedingly and abundantly above all that you can ask, think, or imagine." You can do that if you would just get an idea.
The word works if you work the word. What does He say? The problem is you don't believe. You don't think you can. Your human reasoning is causing you to believe that you can't do it. Who said that to you? What did God say? Shout it out again: "I am a water walker!"
If you don't take a stand in faith, you won't have a leg to stand on. Isaiah 7:9, go there real quick. Remember this from last week: faith is not about what you're believing for; it's about who you're believing in.
See, Peter said to Jesus, "Master, if that is you, then bid me to come to you." He didn't say, "If that's you, then let me walk on water," because he was not believing for something; he was believing in something. He wasn't believing for the ability. He wasn't believing for the skill set. He wasn't believing for the supernatural power to walk on water. He was believing in the one that could give him the ability to do it.
And so he said, "If that is you..." So now you got to start looking at some stuff. "God, you said that that house belongs to me. That house is 1.2 million dollars. If it is you, then bid me to come to you." God, you said that this pain in my body—I'm the healer, not the sick. I'm above only and never beneath. Despite what it looks like, God, bid me to come to you. I'm not believing for something; I'm believing in something.
Your ability to believe in the process—listen, we've gotten too comfortable believing in the promise that we no longer believe in the promise keeper. We've gotten so comfortable believing in a thing that we can physically see. That's how unbelief remains. Unbelief remains in your life because you've gotten so caught up on what you're believing for that you removed who you're believing in.
And so now, every time the enemy shows up and there's potentially something that could look like the blessing, a way to make the promise come to pass, you forget about God being the one to do it, and you begin to move in self-preservation and decide to go get it for yourself. And every single time, it'll cause you to walk in unbelief.
This is out of the easy reading, I'm sorry, The Message Bible. Isaiah 7:9, there you go. We'll start at verse 7. No, we won't. The end of verse 9, it says, "If you don't take a stand, if you don't take your stand in faith, you won't have a leg to stand on."
If you don't take your stand in faith, you won't have a leg to stand on. I'll tell you why that's so good to me later. Understand this: if you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything. If you don't stand for faith, you'll fall for any level of unbelief that the enemy tries to bring your way. If you don't stand for faith in what God has said to you, what He said about you, no matter what it feels like, no matter what it looks like, what did God say?
If God told you that you were going to be rich and you are negative 38 in your bank account, does that change what God said? Who got a 20 dollar bill? I'm going to give it back. Maybe 20, 50, 100, whatever you—somebody give me something. He already said we don't carry cash anymore. They don't carry cash. I'm going to give it back. Let me give it back. Huh? A dollar won't do this. Oh, thank you.
Now, I remember in 2019, New Year's Eve services all around the country, there were so many prophetic words—2020, all these mottos and rhyming words for 2020 and what it was going to be. There were promises being professed and declared all over microphones across the world. But for some reason, those promises became a lie in March of 2020 when COVID came out and the world was shut down.
But just a few months ago, 2020 is your year to receive. 2020, a year for greatness. It's your year to be promoted. It's your year for this. This is your year for that. Why did God's promise change because COVID showed up and shut the world down? It didn't! But because of circumstances and what we could see, we moved into unbelief and we made every promise that God made a lie.
Now here's where the enemy wants you because you are now walking by faith. You're walking by sight. Because God knew every promise, if they were true—all them pastors, all the preachers and the prophets that said all of this stuff and took up seeds and offerings over the 2020 word—if it was really God, then there was nothing that was going to stop Him when the pandemic showed up.
If it was your year before COVID and it was your year after COVID, if God said that the house belonged to you during before COVID, it still belonged to you. Remember, He was still good and still God at the same time. But because we're now walking by sight—oh my God, the world is shutting down, we can't get out, we can't go to work, and there's this and the market is falling, the market is crashing—so what about the market?
Because we don't live from this world; you live from an unseen world. This is what God said. You don't move by sight. You don't walk this life by sight because you live in an unseen place that can do unseen things—the things that you can't even imagine. But for some reason, because COVID showed up, it's my year.
So now God's a liar because of what you see or don't see. It's a 20 dollar bill. This bill worth 20, right? If I fold it up, how much is it worth? 20 dollars. It's folded in four parts, but it's still what? A 20 dollar bill.
Now we unfold this twenty dollar bill. We ball it up. What is it worth? Twenty dollars. Can I still take this to the store right now and use it even in this crumpled-up state? If I was to spit on this 20 dollar bill—no illustration for that—what would this be? A 20 dollar bill.
If I unfold it and I say, and I rip this twenty dollar bill—I didn't rip it. I saw her face. Pastor, you owe me twenty dollars. I don't care what you—my pastor? No, I want my 20 back. If I were to rip this but get some tape to it, what would it still be worth? Twenty dollars.
No matter what's happening to this twenty dollar bill, if I take it and I step on it and I grind it into the ground, it is still worth the very note that it holds. No matter what's happening, no matter what's taking place in your life, whatever God has said to you in this word that He's given to you—66 books—He's given you something about your healing. He already knew what it would be. He did not devalue your call. He did not devalue your promise. He did not devalue His word because the enemy came and spat on you.
He did not devalue His word because the enemy came when he took his best shot at you. He did not devalue His word because the enemy tried to come and place sickness on you. You are not devalued because of what you are going through. You are not devalued because of what you have been through. You are not devalued because of how you feel in your body. His word still remains that you are healed, regardless of what it looks like.
What did He say? You're not devalued because of a situation. You're not devalued because of a moment. You're not devalued or defined by what you've been through. You're defined by what He said about you. No matter how much you try to cross out the numbers on this, this will never be a dollar bill. No matter how much you try to cross things out or change the color, it'll never be a hundred dollar bill.
No matter how much you do anything to try to alter this, it remains what it is: a twenty dollar bill. No matter what the enemy does to try to alter you, no matter what the enemy says to try to alter you, no matter what the enemy tries to bring your way to alter your thinking, to alter your call, no matter what he does, you are still remaining who God has called you to be.
Nothing changes because of what Satan does. Nothing changes because of what the enemy tries to do. Nothing changes because God has led you into something that He knows that you can come out. Nothing changes because of your circumstances. My address may have changed, but God's promise to me did not. I may have entered into a transitioning season, but His promise to me did not change. His word still remains.
You only get into unbelief when you don't realize that the word of God does not change. Iron that out. I'm sorry about that. It's still a twenty dollar bill. The gas station is still going to get you a teaspoon of gas with the 20 dollar bill. How about that?
Ah, somebody shout, "Believe!" Go to Romans chapter 4. Are y'all getting this? Yeah? Are y'all hot? No? I don't know what that means because I'm starting to sweat. God is doing something.
Romans chapter 4, verse 17 out of the easy reading, the King James version. Romans 4:17. It says, "As it is written." We can stop right there. We can shout over that. "As it is written." What has God written about you? As it is written. And we know that when God writes something, ain't nothing that nobody could do to change it.
Begin to ask God, "God, what have you written about me?" Oh, there are volumes of books and volumes of things that heaven has written about you. He said, "My thoughts for you outnumber the grains of sand on the beach." How many beaches are there in the world? If you look at just one, how much sand is on one? And there are tons of beaches in the world. We can name 20 right here in Maryland.
You ever want to know what God thinks about you? Go stand on the beach. You ever want to have an understanding of what God really feels about you? Go stand on the beach, stick your hands in the sand, and begin to watch how it flows and understand that God is thinking even more than that about you.
God had to write that stuff down—there are volumes upon volumes, numbers that we probably can't even pronounce, of volumes about you and your life and what He thinks about you. And you think that just because you're going through a season right now that any of that changes? Because God can just go and pick up any one of them number of volumes, and it will absolutely change the trajectory of everything that's happening right now.
It's written. That twenty dollar bill—the 20 is already written. So no matter how much somebody made a mistake in men to call it a 10, no matter how much somebody made a mistake and accidentally meant to call it a five, it don't matter. Why? It's a 20. It don't matter how much somebody wants it to be a hundred. It don't matter how much somebody wants it to be a fifty. It doesn't matter. It's written.
It's a 20. What has God written about you? As it is written, "I have made thee a father of many nations." Before him who believed, even God, who quickened the dead and called those things which be not as though they were. You got to start calling some stuff because it's written.
So now you just got to go and call out the things that have already been written about you. You got to go call them. But then we want to look at this from the reverse side. He said, "Call those things that be not as though they were." In today's time, we look at this and we think of "as they were" as in what they will be. But "were" is a past tense word.
Somebody, you'll catch this in a minute. Call those things that be not in your present right now as though they were once before. That means that everything that God has said about you, everything He's declared about you, it's already been. It's already happened. And so now you need to begin to call out your former glory and what God had already said about you and begin to declare that even though it looks this way right now, even though I feel this way right now, even though my finances look this way right now, I'm going to call those things that be not looking exactly like they should look as what they already were when God created the world over 2,000 years ago, two million years ago, however long it's been.
Begin to call those things that be not as though they were. Now, what was already written about you? It was already done. If He said, "As it is written," He already wrote it down and declared that Abraham's going to be the father of many nations. So no matter what could not happen, no matter whose body parts or organs were not functioning, God was going to defy every natural thing to make His will come to pass.
God is about to defy every natural thing that is trying to prohibit you from entering into and receiving everything He's already written about you. Somebody shout, "It is written!"
Go to Mark chapter 9. Are y'all getting this today? It is written. What has He written about you? It's not good enough just to see it. What good is it to see what has been written about you and you don't believe it? If somebody wrote a check for a billion dollars to you, what good does that check do if you could not believe that it was your name on it?
Jesus, so good! God said, "For I know the thoughts and the plans that I have for you." He knows these things about you, but the problem is you don't believe them about yourself. So no, you can't walk in your healing. No, you cannot walk in your prosperity. No, you cannot walk in the amazing marriage that you believe in God for. No, you cannot fulfill your single life the way that you believe God would have you to do it because you don't believe what He said.
Understand this: the moment that you receive what has already been written about you, your life will be forever changed. Somebody shout, "I believe! I receive every word that has been written about me in Jesus' name!"
Jesus, when you're at March, I do not say, "I got it."
Hallelujah! Oh, this is so good. I'm trying to figure out where I want to start. Let's start at verse 15. And you've heard this before. You've heard this many times before, but I want you to hear this with a different ear today.
Should I believe? I received out of the King James version, verse 15. Mark 9:15. It says, "And straight away all the people, when they beheld him, were greatly amazed and running to him, saluted him."
Verse 16: "And he asked the scribes, 'What questions ye with them?'"
Verse 17: "And one of the multitude answered and said, 'Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit. And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him, and he foameth and gnasheth with his teeth and petteth away. And I spoke to thy disciples that they should cast him out, and they could not.'"
Verse 19: "He answered him and said, 'O faithless generation!' I can hear Jesus now saying, 'O faithless generation of 2023! Why have you still not believed? My Father gave you the mandate that you would do greater works than me, but the problem is we've yet to see them.'"
"O faithless generation! You're still believing for your rent to be paid. You're still believing for your car note to be paid when in Philippians 4:19 it's already been said: 'It is written that your God will supply all of your needs by my riches in glory.' But no, faithless generation, you can't believe for that. How can you get to doing the greater things? Did you not see that it was written that I fed the five thousand? Did you not see that it was written that I caused the tax bill of a man to be paid through the mouth of a fish? Did you not see that it was written that I healed a woman of a blood issue for 12 years by her just touching my garment?
Did you not—O faithless generation! How much longer do I have to suffer with you?"
Jesus is suffering with your unbelief.
