To the house, we can't be picky and choose about what the Holy Spirit begins to do.
I think one of the things the world is looking for in these times that we're in, especially these critical end times where our political systems of the world are turned upside down, our economies are turned upside down, everything that we could put our hands on that's supposed to be stable is unstable.
But aren't you glad that you serve a God that no matter what the politics, no matter who's in the White House, it doesn't change, amen? Are you glad you're part of the church and a body that it doesn't matter what the economy is doing? God's not ever going to let you go without if you're obedient to His work?
I think the world is looking for the church to be the authentic church, not being what media has portrayed the church today. I saw a video a few days ago, and it was a pastor who kind of lost his cool from somebody who came up for prayer. Y'all see that? I mean, just lost everything.
I mean, you thought he would have slapped his mama and, you know, shot a couple of people in the church. He gets the man out of church because he comes up while they're preaching and he asks for prayer, and he says, "Get out of here with that!"
So what is the church looking for? What is the world looking for in the church today? What is our role in this time? It's not that God is going to come back because the world is just so evil. The Bible says that the evil will wax great around today, but we can never allow the evil to wax greater than what God can do.
God still has somebody in your eyes in you. You can't let the evilness surrounding you ever be greater than what God can do in you, amen? Come on, why? Because we serve a God. The Bible says this: "Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world."
It never says there will come a time when that thing that's in the world is going to be greater than the thing that resides in you.
So the question I have to ask the church today at large, in this body as far as we are here on Southwest, is what's really on the inside? If you feel like everything on the outside of you is bigger than what's on the inside of you, then you have to look at yourself and say, "What's something then built defeated?"
It feels like you can't make it. It feels like you can't go one more day because all this stuff keeps piling down on you. Last night, last week, I talked to you about the God of the breakthroughs.
When the breakthrough begins to work in your life, it has to revolve something inside of you and me. It takes us back to our first love. I don't remember when you first got saved, how excited you were, how charismatic you were, how you didn't care about anybody's opinion.
And it seems like the more we grow in our walk, the less excited we get. Oh, how many times do I feel sorry for this? Jesus came from the house of the synagogue official and said, "Your daughter has died."
My trouble that she traded on just to catch you up. Jairus goes to Jesus and beats him on the streets. He says, "Master, you need to come to my house because my daughter is sick."
On His way into Jairus's house, a woman interrupts Jesus with an issue of blood. Well, Jesus, feeling the door of that crowd, feels somebody touch Him. He says, "There's virtue that left out of me."
And they say, "Well, how can you tell if so many people are pushing up on me?" He says, "I know where she went out of me." He looks and she is served, and she's made whole.
All that commotion where you strive to give today, Jairus's house, a woman says, "I need to hear about God from Him."
Let me ask you something: When was the last time your relationship with God arrested God? When's the last time that you made enough noise that you got God's attention?
When's the last time that you saw God moving and you said, "God, I'm not going to just let you move without me jumping in the middle of what you're doing?"
I let you in the issue of blood and said, "You know what? I got an issue, and I know Jesus is coming by, and He may be on His way to do something else, but I'm not going to miss the opportunity to be touched by somebody that doctors have given up on and took all our money."
When's the last time that a church said, "God, interrupt our life, interrupt our church service, interrupt our program, interrupt what we got going on?"
We hope we would rather have you ask, "Bob, and there's enough we saw Jesus lives over."
So what ended up happening is this: the situation went from bad to worse. It's already dead.
We will not give up on revival. The Bible is not dead in the church. The Bible's not for the sinner. The revival is for you and I.
You know why? There's something on the inside of us that we've let die and be caged, and we need y'all to step into that situation and free us so that when we come in here, we worship together.
If we get into the Word together, He grants a spirit of revival. Revival is so much you put on the side and invite people to, and hope God shows up.
Revivalists, we need to say, "God, what do you want us to do? What are you showing up in? What are you showing up in?"
What we're going to build things around the church is lost in the spirit of revival.
He usually says this: "Don't bother these mistakes." But Jesus over here informed was made His home.
He said to the city, "Do not be afraid any longer. Only believe."
How many times should we, as 30 verses, believe? But it's not only believe. We'll believe, but we also are going to do something.
Hello, figure out what's wrong with her. Go make sure she's dead for real. Good wife, huh?
He said, "Do not be afraid."
We are a mobile church, and it can move. The worst thing you can do is be afraid to chat, be afraid to dance, get ready to stand up and say something, be afraid to step out of here when you know God's opinion on your heart.
But the worst thing you can do is start trying to overlay what God is doing.
