### Summary
Good morning, Limitless! Today, we embarked on a unique and intentional journey of worship. Worship is not just about singing songs; it is a powerful tool given to us by God to wage war against the enemy. We began by welcoming our visitors and highlighting upcoming events like the Limitless Deep Dive and College Sunday. We then transitioned into an extended time of worship, emphasizing the importance of worship as a form of spiritual warfare.
Worship is an act of surrender and a declaration of God's goodness and faithfulness. It allows us to honor God for who He is, remind our flesh and soul of His greatness, and reposition ourselves in alignment with His Word. Worship is a response to the enemy's attempts to defeat us, and it brings light into our darkest moments. We are not just singing; we are engaging in a battle that declares our victory in Christ.
We also discussed the importance of aligning ourselves through prayer before entering into worship. Prayer helps us cast our worries and anxieties onto God, allowing us to focus on His greatness rather than our problems. We encouraged those who felt burdened to seek prayer and support from our altar team, emphasizing the power of collective faith and agreement in prayer.
As we moved deeper into worship, we were reminded that our praise becomes our weapon. When we worship, we invite God into our battles, and He fights for us. Worship is a declaration of victory, and it activates our faith, allowing us to confront life's struggles with confidence in God's sovereignty.
We concluded by encouraging everyone to sow their seeds with expectation, declaring victory over their situations. We left with a renewed understanding of worship as a powerful tool for spiritual warfare and a declaration of our permanent stance in victory.

3. Why is it important to remind ourselves of God's past faithfulness, as seen in Psalm 42:5, especially during times of trouble?
4. The pastor mentioned that worship is a declaration of victory. How does this perspective influence the way we engage in worship? ([47:14])
### Application Questions
1. Reflect on a recent struggle or conflict in your life. How can you apply the understanding from Ephesians 6:12 that our true battle is against spiritual forces?
2. Think of a time when you felt overwhelmed by a situation. How can you incorporate worship and praise, as seen in 2 Chronicles 20:22, to invite God's intervention in your current challenges?

Day 1: Worship as Spiritual Warfare
Worship is a powerful tool for spiritual warfare, not just singing.
Worship is more than just a musical expression; it is a profound act of spiritual warfare. When we engage in worship, we are not merely singing songs but actively participating in a battle against the enemy. Worship allows us to declare God's goodness and faithfulness, bringing light into our darkest moments. It serves as a reminder of our victory in Christ, shifting our focus from our struggles to God's greatness. By worshiping, we align ourselves with God's Word and invite His presence into our lives, which empowers us to confront life's challenges with confidence. [30:05]
2 Chronicles 20:21-22 (ESV): "And when he had taken counsel with the people, he appointed those who were to sing to the Lord and praise him in holy attire, as they went before the army, and say, 'Give thanks to the Lord, for his steadfast love endures forever.' And when they began to sing and praise, the Lord set an ambush against the men of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah, so that they were routed."
Reflection: Think of a current struggle or battle you are facing. How can you use worship as a tool to declare victory over this situation today?
Day 2: Honoring God in Worship
Worship is about honoring God for who He is, not just asking for things.
In worship, we honor God for who He is, not just for what He can do for us. This act of worship is a declaration of God's greatness and faithfulness. It is an opportunity to acknowledge His sovereignty and invite His presence into our lives. When we honor God through worship, we align ourselves with His Word and remind our flesh and soul of His greatness. This alignment helps us to focus on God's attributes rather than our problems, bringing peace and joy into our lives. [34:18]
Psalm 29:2 (ESV): "Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness."
Reflection: Reflect on a recent time when you worshiped God. Were you more focused on asking for things or honoring Him for who He is? How can you shift your focus to honor God more in your worship?
Day 3: Reminding Ourselves of God's Greatness
Worship helps us shift our focus from our struggles to God's greatness.
Often, we become so consumed by our problems that we forget God's past faithfulness. Worship serves as a powerful reminder of who God is and what He has done for us. It allows us to shift our focus from our struggles to God's greatness, bringing peace and joy into our lives. By worshiping, we remind our flesh and soul of God's attributes, which helps us to trust Him more deeply. This shift in focus is crucial for maintaining a positive and faith-filled perspective, especially during challenging times. [37:24]
Psalm 77:11-12 (ESV): "I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your wonders of old. I will ponder all your work, and meditate on your mighty deeds."
Reflection: Think of a time when God showed His faithfulness in your life. How can you use worship to remind yourself of His greatness and shift your focus from your current struggles?
Day 4: Aligning Through Prayer
Prayer helps us cast our worries onto God, allowing us to focus on His greatness.
Before entering into worship, it is essential to align ourselves through prayer. Prayer helps us to cast our worries and anxieties onto God, freeing us to focus on His greatness. This alignment is crucial for effective worship, as it allows us to enter into God's presence with a clear and focused mind. Collective prayer and agreement in faith amplify the power of our worship, making it a more potent tool for spiritual warfare. By aligning ourselves through prayer, we prepare our hearts to fully engage in worship and experience God's transformative power. [54:21]
1 Peter 5:7 (ESV): "Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you."
Reflection: Before you begin your next worship session, take a moment to pray and cast your worries onto God. How does this act of surrender change your focus and prepare you for worship?
Day 5: Worship as a Declaration of Victory
Worship is a declaration of victory over our circumstances.
Worship is not just an act of praise; it is a declaration of victory over our circumstances. When we worship, we invite God into our battles, and He fights for us. Our praise becomes our weapon, turning the tide of the battle and reminding us of our permanent stance in victory. This act of worship activates our faith, allowing us to confront life's struggles with confidence in God's sovereignty. By declaring victory through worship, we align ourselves with God's promises and experience His power in our lives. [47:14]
Exodus 15:2 (ESV): "The Lord is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation; this is my God, and I will praise him, my father's God, and I will exalt him."
Reflection: Think of a specific situation where you need to declare victory. How can you use worship to invite God into this battle and declare His victory over it today?
And let me just bask for a minute.
Brand new whip, no windows tinted.
Party in the street till the sun come get us.
And tell the whole crew they can all come with us.
And we ain't gotta lock the doors.
And we don't need cops, of course.
And we don't care about your skin.
We just want an all-out win.
They tell me it's illogical,
But anything is possible.
If God be for us, we can overcome all obstacles.
They say love covers a multitude of sins,
And so I'm here to put some love in the way.
Good morning, good morning, good morning, Limitless.
How we doing this morning?
Well, that is so good.
I'm excited to see each and every one of you this morning.
Thank you for making your way.
Today's service is going to be a little bit different.
So I wanted to come up ahead of time
and get you to prepare yourself, prepare your heart
for what it's going to be.
I am very excited.
Our first service was amazing.
And I believe this service will be no different.
Before I get started,
I do want to make a small note.
If you're a kid, we have family service today.
If you have your kids with you,
you might have walked in in all the excitement
because you were so excited to have your kids with you in service.
But we do have crayons and a color sheet
and stuff available.
And so if you need that,
please feel free to grab that
because they have some notes
that they're going to be taking as well.
And we want to make sure
that they don't miss out on their notes, okay?
But I wanted to take the opportunity
to start off by welcoming our visitors.
If it's your very first time here today,
welcome, welcome to Limitless.
We're so excited.
Yeah, come on.
We're excited for the opportunity for you to be here.
I know that when you come into a church
for the very first time,
there are a lot of things
that are going on in your mind.
There are a lot of questions
and a lot of answers that need to be had,
that you're having internal conversations
that you're having within yourself.
Or if you're watching online
and you're turning on this stream
and you're like, oh, what is happening?
But we're glad that you chose to be here.
We don't believe that it's an accident you're here.
I know you got up this morning
and you said, I'm going to turn on the stream,
or I'm going to come to church,
and today's the day that I'm going to make a change,
and I'm going to church today.
But we believe it's bigger than that.
We believe that God has been having conversations with you.
We believe that God has been adjusting those conversations,
and even to the point of adjusting your schedule
to make sure that you were here in this service today.
And we believe that that's a big deal,
and we don't take that lightly.
Again, can we make some noise for our visitors this morning?
And so if you're watching online,
please feel free to type the word "visitor" in the comments,
and we want to send you the link to our visitor's card.
Or if you're here, you'll see that we have a QR code
on a seat pocket in front of you.
I would love for you to fill out our visitor card,
or if you're not tech-savvy,
please meet me outside.
After service, I'm going to be standing at our connection table,
and I would love to say hello to you,
to find out about you and how you found out about our church.
We make it a big deal that people are here with us on Sunday morning.
So much so that if you fill out a card,
today I will be sending you a personal welcome video.
I don't take it lightly.
It's a big deal to me when somebody says,
"Hey, I'm going to church."
And so from me as a pastor, I want to say thank you.
So from there, the second thing I want to do before we get started
is I just want to highlight two things that we have coming up this Wednesday.
We're starting what we call the Limitless Deep Dive.
And basically what that is,
is that's going to be our version of our small group,
sort of where I'm going to recap what we talked about on Sunday,
and then we're going to break into groups based on our life cycle.
So we have a retirees group.
We're going to have a young believers group,
excuse me, a new believers group,
a young professionals group, married women, married men, singles,
and whatever season it is,
we'll have dessert and coffee from 6 to 6:30.
And at 6:30, we will get started.
So I hope that you would join us this Wednesday
and the next several Wednesdays.
And then the second thing I have for our Limitless Deep Dive
is our College Sunday.
In about two weeks, we are going to be celebrating
all of our college students.
Do we have any college students in the congregation right now?
Don't be ashamed.
There we go.
We got a row.
Oh, it's a lot of y'all today.
Okay.
So we got something special in store for you guys,
and we want to make sure we honor them.
It's a big deal when college students are going to church.
So we want to make sure that we honor that and that we celebrate that.
All right. So this is what today is going to look like.
This past Wednesday, we had our worship night.
Was there anybody here at our worship night this past Wednesday?
Yeah.
We had an amazing time.
But with that, I wanted to make this Sunday very intentional.
Okay. So this is going to be different from our average Sundays,
just in the fact that I want to be very intentional about our worship today.
Worship is a big deal.
What I call worship, it's an opportunity to go to war in our worship.
And it is a tool that the Lord has given us to use.
And I believe that when we all know how to use that tool,
that it changes our life and it changes the trajectory of our church
when we come together in worship, warring against the enemy.
And so we're going to spend some extended time in worship today.
So for those of you who might be new,
as we get started in this first half,
you're going to see people standing up.
You're going to see people with their hands lifted.
This sign of hands in the air is simply a sign of surrendering,
where we're saying, "God, I'm giving you everything.
I'm giving you all that I have."
You're going to see people saying amen.
You're going to see people shouting, people excited,
and we're going to get started.
And then I'm going to do a small teaching on what worship is.
And I want to encourage you to lean in,
put your seatbelts on, and just lean into what's happening.
I don't know what you walked in here with today.
But we believe that we have the power to go to war against the enemy in our worship.
So you may have walked in burdened.
You may have barely made it through the door this Sunday.
You might be struggling with some things or dealing with some things.
And so I want to offer you this intentional opportunity to worship.
Okay? This intentional opportunity to worship.
And so what we're going to do is we're going to stand.
We're going to declare the goodness of God.
We're going to stand.
We're going to declare the goodness of God.
We're going to stand.
We're going to declare the praises of God.
We're going to remind ourselves who God is.
That's what today is going to be about.
So get in and let's go. Amen?
Let's stand. Hallelujah.
Heavenly Father, we thank you for this day.
God, we declare that this is the day that you have made
and we will rejoice and we will be glad.
God, we want to take this opportunity to worship you for who you are.
In this moment, all of heaven is already rejoicing.
And so we want to come together with them
and join in the worship that is already taking place.
God, we cast our worries, our anxieties, and our fears on you.
We declare that you are God.
And in this moment, we want to lift your name.
We love you. We honor you.
In Jesus' name. Amen.
Father, I thank you.
Thank you for an opportunity to worship you.
As we declare, God, all of the angels in heaven,
at every moment they are worshiping your name, God,
and desire, desire to participate in that.
So thank you for the opportunity.
Thank you for the opportunity that we have to join with those angels.
Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty who was and is and is to come.
Let us worship you, God, in spirit and in truth.
Would you continue to move, God, as we move into deeper worship, God?
Would you continue to move?
Would you continue to speak?
Would you continue ministering to hearts and minds in these moments, God?
We need you, God.
You're already moving, God.
You're already doing it, God.
We yield this house to you.
This is your house, God.
Have your way.
Do what only you can.
We are desperate for a touch of heaven.
Be seated for just a second.
As we prepare to go a little deeper,
I just wanted to take a few seconds
and talk about this moment and what this means.
As I said, for me, I call this worship,
but worship is an opportunity to go to war through worship.
And if this is your first time, maybe you haven't been here for a while
or maybe you haven't been here, you might not have a clear understanding
of what it means to worship or what this is or why it's important.
Ephesians 6 says,
We do not wrestle against flesh and blood,
but against rulers, authorities, cosmic powers over this present darkness,
against the spiritual forces of evil in heavenly places.
The thing that we battle is not other people.
It's not even things that happen.
We battle the enemy.
Satan is real.
Hell is a real place.
The enemy desires for you to be in bondage.
He desires for you to be bound.
And there is a war that is waging in the heavenly realms.
Again, our war is not against the visible but the invisible.
There is a war that is waging.
In that war, we have been given a tool.
That tool is worship.
Again, you may think that worship is just the songs that we sing when we get in this room.
That is not the all-encompassing definition of worship.
We are engaging in worship in those moments,
but that doesn't encompass what worship is.
Worship is a tool that we have been given by God to wage war.
Our true war is not against the visible,
but it is against the invisible.
Worship is a response to the enemy,
the enemy that seeks to defeat us.
When we gather to worship, we're not just singing songs.
We are engaging in a battle that brings light in the midst of darkness.
That brings light in the midst of depression.
That brings light in the midst of anxiety.
That brings light in the midst of lack.
That brings light in the midst of sickness.
That brings light in the midst of darkness.
That brings light in the midst of anxiety.
That brings light in the midst of addiction.
That brings light in the midst of broken marriages.
There's light that's happening.
That is what worship is.
And we have to understand.
I hate watching superhero movies.
I hate watching origin stories
because the superhero always gets beat up in the beginning.
And I know that he has superpowers,
but he doesn't know it yet.
And he can't use them.
That's why he's getting beat up.
We have been given a tool to fight the enemy
that seeks to defeat us.
It is up to us to engage and use that tool.
And I recognize that there may be some of us
who just don't know that we got the tool
or don't know how to use it.
And so today I wanted to do a practical moment
for us to engage in what this is.
Worship is a declaration of victory in the spiritual realm.
That we are victorious over the things
that the enemy desires to keep us bound in.
Worship is one of the most valuable
and powerful tools that we have at our disposal.
And when we go to worship, a few things happen.
And before we move into this next portion of our worship,
I want to go over these things very quickly.
When we worship, in our singing,
we are giving honor to God for who he is.
In our singing, we're giving honor to God for who he is.
In our singing, we're giving honor to God for who he is.
We got the kids in here with us today.
So parents, you will understand.
We don't necessarily like it when our kids come to us
and just ask us for something.
Like, "You always asking for something."
But when our kid comes to us and our kid just saying,
"We know what's the setup, but you know,
Mom, you're just a great mom.
You're an amazing mom.
I love the way you mother us.
I love the way you take care of us.
And you look wonderful today.
Mom, Dad, oh, you're my favorite dad
in the whole wide world.
Thank you for being my dad."
The first thing we're going to say is, "What do you want?" right?
But when we do that in our worship,
we begin to honor God.
And the Bible says he receives that honor.
And so first in our singing,
we're giving honor to God for who he is.
"God, I thank you for waking me up this morning.
God, you are a faithful God.
You are a good father, God.
God, I thank you.
I thank you for the job.
I thank you for the provision, God.
I thank you for blood running through my veins.
Thank you for waking me up this morning, God."
So in our singing, the first thing we're doing
is we're honoring God for who he is.
Psalms 29:2.
I like to use David when I talk about worship
because he exemplifies it so well.
He says, "Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name.
Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name.
If we was in church, if we was in...
No, I ain't gonna say that.
If we was in older church, my people church,
we would say, "Go on and give him what you owe him."
That's what we would say.
"Give him what you owe him."
But the scripture puts it very nicely.
It says, "Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name.
Worship the Lord in the beauty and the majesty
of his holy name."
Holiness as the creator and source of holiness.
Worship the beauty and the majesty.
When you start thinking about how he orchestrated your life,
how he's put you together,
how he is so far ahead of what we can think or ask,
how he set that situation up for you time and time
and time and time again, he says,
"Worship the Lord in the beauty of his majesty."
So the first thing we're doing is we're giving honor to God
for who he is.
The second thing we're doing, and this is very big.
The second thing that we are doing when we worship
is we're reminding our flesh and our soul of who he is.
This right here, our flesh and our soul.
Our soul is our feeler and our thinker.
We're reminding our soul of who he is
because we forget, we be forgetting a lot.
We're reminding our flesh and our soul
of who he is.
Because God has not forgotten who he is,
but what has happened is that we have begun focusing
so much on the problem and the situation that we're facing
and we've spent so much time thinking about it.
We've spent so much time worried about it.
We've spent so much time mulling over the what-ifs
and mulling over what's gonna happen
and mulling over those things
that now we have forgotten who he is.
And so something happens when we worship.
And we begin to sing,
"You're a good man.
You're a great father.
That's who you are.
Oh, oh, oh, and I'm loved by you.
That's who I am."
We begin... And why do people say,
"Why do you sing the same thing over and over?"
Because we need to sing it over and over.
Because the first time we come in,
you might not really feel it.
You might not believe it.
It might not be something that you're in alignment with,
but as you continue to sing it over,
as you continue, you begin to start thinking about
and reminding yourself of how he brought you here.
He brought you out of that last thing sweatlessly.
And he brought you out of the last thing sweatlessly.
And he plucked... when you didn't know how you was gonna get out of that,
he picked you up again.
And you begin to see a pattern of victory in your life
as it pertains to the Lord.
And you begin reminding yourself
and your flesh of who he is.
I like to put it like this.
You get an opportunity in worship
to take a look at the scoreboard.
Because we're in battle.
We're on the field.
And we're fighting.
And every so often you will get tunnel vision.
But what worship does is it gives us an opportunity to look at the scoreboard
and see, "Wow, we are really ahead.
As a matter of fact, this is a blowout.
The enemy's score is still zero."
And when you look at it, you're reminded,
"Why am I even... why am I worried?
What is wrong with me?"
So worship gives us an opportunity to remind ourselves of who God is,
to remind ourselves of the scoreboard.
He hasn't lost one yet.
And so worship gives us an opportunity to declare that and to be reminded.
And so when you see people, you know, if you're new here,
you might see people crying.
You might see some people tearing up.
You might see some people deep in worship.
You might see some people just feeling overwhelmed.
What has happened is as they have begun to sing,
they are being overwhelmed with the peace and the joy of God
as they are reminded of the victory that they currently stand in
and always stand in because of Jesus.
This is what worship does.
You got to learn how to use the tool.
You got to learn what it's here for.
Okay, we got to learn that.
So the second thing it does is it reminds our flesh and our soul of who he is.
Psalms 42 verse 5.
But again, he says,
"Why are you in despair, O my soul?
He's talking to himself.
Why are you in despair, O my soul?
And why have you become restless and disturbed within me?
Hope in God and wait expectantly for him.
For I shall again praise him for the help of his presence in his worship."
In his worship.
He said, "What's wrong with me?
Let me... let me get my... what is wrong with...
You know what?
You know what?
I am going to hope in God and get this."
He says, "I'm a wait in expectation of him."
I tell you all the time, you need to have your neck out.
You need to be looking for it.
"Where is the victory?
When is it?
Where is... I'm waiting expectantly for him."
And then he confesses that.
"That I will again praise him for the help of his."
It ain't even got here yet, but in worship, he's like,
"Oh, no, no, no, no, no.
I'm just... I'm waiting for the other opportunity to praise him again
for him doing what he continues to do time after time."
This is what worship allows us to do.
It's not just singing.
It's not just saying words.
We're honoring God.
We're reminding our flesh and our soul of who he is.
And then thirdly, we are reminding of who he is in light of our problem.
We're reminding ourselves of who God is in light of our problem.
Oh, oh, because we'll spend so much time thinking about the problem.
We don't figure it out.
The problem.
We figured out how the problem got here.
What steps we could have took so the problem would have never got here.
How are we going to figure to get out the problem?
How, who we got to do?
We got to talk.
So who I need to text, who I need to email, how I'm going to work this out.
I'm going to do this and I'm going to do that.
We spend all this time thinking about the problem.
We are focused on the problem.
We are overcoming.
And then we wonder why we suffering with anxiety and depression.
And it's because we spend so much time focused on the problem.
But what worship allows us to do, it gives us an opportunity to go to the problem solver.
That's what worship does.
Worship reminds me that in the midst of the situation
and in the midst of what I'm going through, God is still God.
It reminds me that although it's bad,
although it's dark,
although it seems like it's at the bottom of the bottom,
you know what?
I've been here before and the last time I was here,
God came through.
Now that I think about it, this is probably the 50th time that I've been here.
And every single time, every single time God keeps coming through.
So in spite of my situation, in spite of my problem,
I am reminded of who God is even in the middle of it.
This idea, this scripture, it says,
"Cast your worries, your anxieties, and your fears on him because he cares for you."
I already told you all this.
We get that fishing rod and sometimes we think we cast in one time.
But let me tell you, as a very bad inexperienced fisher,
you can't just cast that thing one time.
You can't just cast that thing one time.
You got to keep casting and casting and casting.
And then it is an active thing that we have to continue to do to cast it.
Because what we do, we cast it and then we pull that thing right on back.
We cast our worry.
We cast our anxiety.
We cast that fear.
And then we reel it right on back in.
He has called us to cast it.
And when we do that, we're reminding of who.
Because now my focus isn't on the problem and how big the problem is.
Because now I'm looking at him and I realize he is a lot bigger than my problem.
So that's what worship is.
Because as I'm singing these words, I'm prophesying over my life.
I'm speaking over my situation.
I'm having the opportunity to say,
"Oh, that is who you are.
And I am loved by you.
You won't fail me.
You can't fail me.
You can't fail me.
I've never seen the righteous forsaken."
And this is what worship is.
It's this opportunity to use the tool that you have been given to acknowledge.
It isn't just singing.
It is an act of spiritual warfare.
It is an act of spiritual warfare that declares our hope and our trust in Jesus.
His sovereignty over our battles.
We confront the struggles of this life in worship.
And we remind ourselves of who God is.
Yes, it's bad.
Yes, the situation is happening.
Yes, this is going on.
But guess what?
I serve a faithful God.
But I did this and I did that.
It ain't never been about you.
I challenge you to make better decisions.
But it's never been about you.
He says, "I love you because I made up in my mind over 2,000 years ago to love you.
And there's nothing that you can do to change that.
There's nothing that you can do to stop that.
I've already made up my mind about you."
And so what worship allows us to do is it allows us to reposition ourselves.
To get ourselves in alignment with what this word says.
It is a declaration that he is bigger than our problems.
We invite his presence to reign over our circumstances.
To activate our faith in the moment of singing.
In the moment of expressing.
In that moment we get to do that.
2 Chronicles 20:22.
I love this story, in case you thought I was lying.
It's right here in the book every time.
Facing an insurmountable situation, covered on all sides.
It says, "When they begin singing and praising, the Lord."
You can stop right there.
"When they begin singing and praising, comma, the Lord."
That means whatever they were singing and praising about, God came on the scene.
What happened?
The Lord set ambushes against the sons of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir,
who had come against Judah,
who had come against his people.
And they were struck down in defeat.
When what?
When they began singing and praising.
There is power that is associated with you declaring his name.
There is power.
There is power that is associated with you declaring the goodness of God
and the faithfulness of God.
So much that it can turn a seemingly impossibly hard, impossibly bad situation
right around just like that.
When they begin singing and praising the Lord.
It's an opportunity.
It's an opportunity.
It's an opportunity to turn the thing around.
The question is, will we use it?
We can't come in here and just get in emotions.
We can't come in here.
Okay, here we go.
He won't, he won't fail.
Sit down.
Okay.
All right.
God forbid.
Time to use that tool.
Because if you're in here, life is lifing.
And I'm not going to get in the moment where I can get freedom,
where I can see God turn the situation around.
And I'm just going to sit down.
I'm just going to do nothing.
I'm just going to go in emotions.
No.
I'm going to use that moment to declare.
To go to war against the enemy in my worship.
That's what it's there for.
Worship unleashes God's power against the enemies of his people.
When we worship, we invite God into our battles.
And he fights for us.
Our praise becomes our weapons.
When you feel overwhelmed, you can worship to turn the tide of the battle.
When the tide of the battle is over.
When the lies of the enemy begin to overwhelm you.
Worship gives us an opportunity to confess the truth of God's love for us.
And his promise to help us and to keep us.
Worship is our response to the enemy that's trying to overtake us.
We are not just singing songs.
We're engaging in a battle that brings light in darkness.
And it is a declaration of our victory.
And so what do I do?
Whether I'm at home or whether I'm in service.
I'm going to take that moment to worship.
Either I'm going to worship him for what I'm going through right now,
or I'm going to worship him for what I know is coming around the corner.
Either way it goes, you ain't going to catch me slipping.
I'm going to get this worship in.
Because now I recognize what it is.
But here's what I also know.
I also know that for some of us, the things that we walk in with are heavy.
Some of us barely walk in.
We make it through the door every Sunday.
And you're like the woman with the issue of blood.
"If I could just touch the hem of his garment."
You're like, "If I could just make it through the door."
And that's okay.
Because sometimes you need the body.
So you think we're just waving at you when you're walking through that door, don't you?
You think we're just happy and we're excited to see you, don't you?
And we are.
Hallelujah.
But it's a setup.
We've been praying for you.
We've been in here early in the morning praying for you, praying over you.
We dare you to walk through that door.
Because when you get in this door, we are waving and we are thanking God.
"Thank you that they came through this door.
God, thank you for what you're going to do.
Good morning.
Thank you for what you're going to do in their life.
God bless you.
It's good to see you.
God, thank you for breakthrough in their life.
Thank you for the stress coming off of them in their name.
Hi, good morning.
It's so good to see you this morning.
God, I thank you for what you're doing in their life.
I thank you for a restored marriage.
God, I thank you.
Good morning.
I thank you for a restored family."
We are praying for you.
Because when you're barely walking through that door,
when you come into the house,
it's our job to now pick you up and get you to that seat.
And then once we get you to that seat,
we pray that the Holy Spirit will overwhelm you in your situation.
Every single Sunday, every time that you walk through this door
that you can't help but feel the presence of God.
Why?
Because we know what's going on.
We know that the enemy is trying to attack you.
He is trying to defeat you.
He is trying to overwhelm you.
He is trying to destroy you.
Why?
Because the enemy comes to kill, steal, and to destroy.
And that is all.
And so for some of you, when you come in here,
singing might be hard.
It might be a little difficult.
So I would encourage you, when those moments happen,
and we're going to do this right now,
you begin to align yourself with what you're singing.
How do I do that?
Well, I start off doing that by prayer.
So when it's heavy, whether I'm at home,
or I'm taking a walk, or wherever I'm at,
"God, I just want to take a second to say thank you, God.
God, I take this opportunity to cast this situation on you, God.
I lay this at your feet, God.
I'm sorry I haven't picked it up again, but God, thank you for taking this.
God, I thank you that you have authority over my life.
I thank you for getting me out of this.
God, I thank you for showing me.
I thank you for wisdom.
I thank you for discernment.
God, I thank you for unmatched favor.
God, I thank you for finances showing up out of nowhere.
God, I thank you for healing from the crown of my head to the sole of my feet.
I declare that my body operates in the manner in which you created it to.
God, I thank you for victory in my kids.
God, I thank you for victory in my marriage.
God, I thank you."
I begin to align myself with what this is.
Why?
Because my emotions and my soul may not feel like it.
So now I need to get into a position where I'm actively declaring God's goodness through prayer.
And sometimes I just need... I need to get in and begin to align myself.
And so I do that through prayer first.
So that when I'm singing, I'm already there.
Why?
Because when I walked in, everything was on my mind.
Everything was on my heart.
Last week, this week, last month, I've been trudging through the year, Jesus.
So I need to get in here and I just...
I need to begin stirring it up.
I need to stir up, awaken my soul.
Remember that song?
"Come on, my soul.
Don't... Wake up, man.
We got work to do."
So I begin doing that through prayer.
So I have our altar team ready because I understand that it might be heavy
and you might not be in a position to be able to do that for yourself.
And so the scripture says, "Wherever two or three are gathered, there he is in the midst."
Now, in this scripture, in this context, he's talking about judging and lawyering and all of that stuff.
But the context of it is when we come together agreeing in prayer, he's right there.
He said, "Oh, oh, there's some... Faith-filled people.
What you need?
Huh?
What you need?
What you say?
Okay.
Uh-huh.
Yeah, I'm on it.
I'm already on it."
And so what prayer does is it allows us to begin to align ourselves
because God hasn't moved.
God hasn't changed.
He's still faithful.
He hasn't moved anywhere.
We are the ones who get all bent out and moved and out of shape and out of where we're supposed to be.
And so what prayer does is allow ourselves to get back in line.
And when we agree together in prayer...
Now we're seeking God for what's about to happen.
So the first thing that I do is I begin to pray.
And so you walked in this morning and you just, you couldn't get it together.
But you're here.
And we're glad that you're here.
And so we're going to take this next opportunity to get ourselves aligned.
And so to my left and your right is our prayer team.
If you are here this morning and you say, "Pastor, I want to worship,
but I need to get myself aligned first.
It's hard for me to worship right now.
And I need somebody to agree with me, to agree with me."
That means I first believe I need somebody to agree with me
that God is going to do what he continues to do.
So I'm going to challenge you.
If that's you, get down here now.
Move.
Don't wait another second.
Don't wait another minute.
Get down here now.
Because once we do this, once we do this,
then we're going to begin thanking him for what he's done.
See, we're walking it out practically today.
You won't be able to leave here today and say,
"I don't know how to worship.
I don't know what worship is."
No, you got a full course today.
It's more.
We got more prayer warriors.
Get what you need.
Or if you say, "Pastor, I can't make it to the front for whatever reason,"
then just raise your hand up and I will have a prayer warrior come.
I got you right there in the back.
I need somebody back there.
I got one over here to the left.
Y'all get up and get him.
Keep those hands lifted so we can get somebody to you.
Get your hand up in the air so that we can get somebody to you.
Adriana's going to lead us.
I got two over here to my right.
Limitless visionaries, get up and get somebody.
Please.
Hallelujah, Jesus.
Hallelujah, Jesus.
Somebody needs to come to you.
Please, please, please.
I got some over here to the right.
Go grab them.
We're beginning to align.
Align ourselves with what God is doing, with what God has already said and he has done.
Right here.
Come on.
Get those hands up.
I got one back here to the left.
I got another one here far left.
Miss Sarah, get this young lady right here.
Miss Bonnie, get that lady right there.
Yeah, we waging war against the enemy.
This is not a game.
We're waging war against the enemy.
We're waging war against the enemy.
If you sit here today and you say, "Hey, I'm good,"
then I need you to go to war for somebody like you need somebody to go to war for you.
Begin praying for these people.
Thank you, Jesus.

1. "Worship is a big deal. What I call worship. It's an opportunity to go to war in our worship. And it is a tool that the Lord has given us to use. And I believe that when we all know how to use that tool, that it changes our life and it changes the trajectory of our church when we come together in worship, warring against the enemy." [07:28] (31 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)
2. "Ephesians 6 says, We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against rulers, authorities, cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in heavenly places. The thing that we battle is not other people. It's not even things that happen. We battle the enemy. Satan is real. Hell. Hell is a real place. The enemy desires for you to be in bondage. He desires for you to be bound. And there is a war that is waging in the heavenly realms." [29:00] (54 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)
3. "Worship is a tool that we have been given by God to wage war. Our true war is not against the visible, but it is against the invisible. Worship is a response to the enemy, the enemy that seeks to defeat us. That is what worship is." [31:05] (58 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)
4. "Worship is one of the most valuable and powerful tools that we have at our disposal. And when we go to worship, a few things happen. And before we move into this next portion of our worship, I want to go over these things very quickly. When we worship, in our singing, we are giving honor to God for who he is. In our singing, we're giving honor to God for who he is. In our singing, we're giving honor to God for who he is." [32:38] (34 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)
5. "The second thing that we are doing when we worship is we're reminding our flesh and our soul of who he is. This right here, our flesh and our soul. Our soul is our feeler and our thinker. We're reminding our soul of who he is because we forget, we be forgetting a lot. We're reminding our flesh and our soul of who he is. Because God has not forgotten who he is, but what has happened is that we have begun focusing so much on the problem and the situation that we're facing and we've spent so much time thinking about it. We've spent so much time worried about it. We've spent so much time mulling over the what ifs and mulling over what's gonna happen and mulling over those things that now we have forgotten who he is." [36:32] (56 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)
6. "Worship reminds me that in the midst of the situation and in the midst of what I'm going through, God is still God. It reminds me that although it's bad, although it's dark, although it seems like it's at the bottom of the bottom, you know what I've been here before and the last time I was here, God came through now that I think about it. This is probably the 50th time that I've been here. And every single time. Every single time God keeps coming through. So in spite of my situation, in spite of my problem, I am reminded of who God is even in the middle of it." [42:38] (41 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)
7. "Worship is an act of spiritual warfare that declares our hope and our trust in Jesus. He says, I love you because I made up in my mind over 2,000 years ago to love you. And there's nothing that you can do to change that. There's nothing that you can do to stop that. I've already made up my mind about you." [45:31] (49 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)
8. "When they begin singing and praising, the Lord. You can stop right there. When they begin. Singing and praising, comma, the Lord. That means whatever they were singing and praising about, God came on the scene. What happened? The Lord set ambushes against the sons of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir. Who had come against Judah. Who had come against his people. And they were struck down in defeat. When what? When they began singing and praising. There is power that is associated with you declaring his name. There is power. There is power that is associated with you declaring the goodness of God and the faithfulness of God. So much that it can turn a seeming impossibly hard, impossibly bad situation right around just like that." [47:14] (54 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)
9. "Worship unleashes God's power against the enemies of his people. And it is a declaration of our victory." [49:35] (55 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)
10. "The enemy will try to make you think that you are defeated. The enemy will try to bring stuff against you to make you think that you are defeated. That is a lie. That is a lie. You are victorious. You walk in victory. It is not just, it is, listen, it is your permanent stance. That means the only place you are is in victory. You don't move. The devil wants you to think that you're still trying to get there. No, you are already there. You have already crossed the finish line. You are already in victory. So when he tries to remind you, you got a weapon. And you begin to use that weapon." [01:30:49] (47 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)
