### Summary
Today, we explored the profound significance of generosity in our lives as believers at Limitless Church. We began by acknowledging that our declarations of faith and worship are not just empty words but expressions of our trust in God's ability to perform miracles in our lives. We then transitioned into the core message: the importance of giving generously. At Limitless, we believe that giving is not just a financial transaction but a spiritual act that reflects our gratitude, trust, and obedience to God.
We discussed the concept of moving from a "bag mindset" to a "barn mindset." The bag mindset is characterized by a cycle of receiving, consuming, lacking, and fearing, which keeps us in a state of poverty and spiritual stagnation. In contrast, the barn mindset is about receiving, giving, multiplying, and building faith, leading to a life of abundance and spiritual growth. This shift in mindset is crucial for experiencing the fullness of God's blessings.
We also delved into the practical aspects of giving, starting with the tithe, which is 10% of our income. Tithing is not just an Old Testament command but a starting point for New Testament believers to express their gratitude and trust in God. Offering, on the other hand, is an opportunity to go above and beyond the tithe, demonstrating our generosity and commitment to God's work.
Through various testimonies and scriptural references, we saw how God honors our giving by multiplying our resources and meeting our needs. We were reminded that giving is an act of ministry that glorifies God and blesses others. As we commit to living generously, we open ourselves up to the incredible ways God wants to work in and through us.
### Key Takeaways
1. **Faith in Action**: Our declarations of faith and worship are not just words but acts of trust in God's ability to perform miracles in our lives. When we sing and declare God's goodness, we are exercising our faith, believing that God will move in our situations, whether it's in our finances, health, or relationships. This act of faith is crucial for experiencing God's miraculous interventions. [13:24]
2. **The Bag vs. Barn Mindset**: The bag mindset keeps us in a cycle of receiving, consuming, lacking, and fearing, which leads to spiritual and financial poverty. In contrast, the barn mindset focuses on receiving, giving, multiplying, and building faith, leading to a life of abundance and spiritual growth. This shift in mindset is essential for experiencing the fullness of God's blessings. [46:35]
3. **Tithing as a Starting Point**: Tithing, which is 10% of our income, is not just an Old Testament command but a starting point for New Testament believers. It is an act of gratitude and trust in God, acknowledging that everything we have comes from Him. When we honor God with our tithe, He blesses the remaining 90%, allowing us to do more with less. [57:09]
4. **Offering as an Act of Generosity**: Offering goes beyond the tithe and is an opportunity to demonstrate our generosity and commitment to God's work. It is our gratitude in action, showing that we trust God to use our resources to fulfill His will and build His kingdom. Offering allows us to move from a me mindset to a mission mindset, partnering with God to meet the needs of others. [01:03:59]
5. **Trusting God with Our Finances**: Trusting God with our finances is not just about giving money but about experiencing the joy, peace, and freedom that comes from relying on Him. When we shift from a bag mindset to a barn mindset, we open ourselves up to the incredible ways God wants to work in and through us. Each act of giving is an opportunity to transform lives, meet needs, and advance the kingdom of God. [01:09:50]

Day 1: Faith in Action
Our declarations of faith and worship are not just words but acts of trust in God's ability to perform miracles in our lives. When we sing and declare God's goodness, we are exercising our faith, believing that God will move in our situations, whether it's in our finances, health, or relationships. This act of faith is crucial for experiencing God's miraculous interventions. By actively engaging in worship and declarations, we align ourselves with God's promises and open the door for His power to manifest in our lives. [13:24]
Mark 11:23-24 (ESV): "Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours."
Reflection: Think of a specific area in your life where you need a miracle. How can you actively declare God's goodness and promises over that situation today?
Day 2: The Bag vs. Barn Mindset
The bag mindset keeps us in a cycle of receiving, consuming, lacking, and fearing, which leads to spiritual and financial poverty. In contrast, the barn mindset focuses on receiving, giving, multiplying, and building faith, leading to a life of abundance and spiritual growth. This shift in mindset is essential for experiencing the fullness of God's blessings. By adopting a barn mindset, we trust in God's provision and become channels of His blessings to others, breaking free from the limitations of scarcity. [46:35]
Proverbs 11:24-25 (ESV): "One gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another withholds what he should give, and only suffers want. Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered."
Reflection: Identify one area in your life where you have been operating with a bag mindset. What steps can you take to shift towards a barn mindset and trust in God's provision?
Day 3: Tithing as a Starting Point
Tithing, which is 10% of our income, is not just an Old Testament command but a starting point for New Testament believers. It is an act of gratitude and trust in God, acknowledging that everything we have comes from Him. When we honor God with our tithe, He blesses the remaining 90%, allowing us to do more with less. Tithing is a tangible way to put our faith into action and demonstrate our reliance on God's provision. [57:09]
Malachi 3:10 (ESV): "Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need."
Reflection: Reflect on your current giving habits. Are you honoring God with your tithe? If not, what steps can you take to start tithing and trust God with your finances?
Day 4: Offering as an Act of Generosity
Offering goes beyond the tithe and is an opportunity to demonstrate our generosity and commitment to God's work. It is our gratitude in action, showing that we trust God to use our resources to fulfill His will and build His kingdom. Offering allows us to move from a me mindset to a mission mindset, partnering with God to meet the needs of others. By giving offerings, we participate in God's redemptive work and experience the joy of being a blessing to others. [01:03:59]
2 Corinthians 9:7-8 (ESV): "Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work."
Reflection: Think of a specific cause or ministry that you feel passionate about. How can you go beyond your tithe and give an offering to support that cause this week?
Day 5: Trusting God with Our Finances
Trusting God with our finances is not just about giving money but about experiencing the joy, peace, and freedom that comes from relying on Him. When we shift from a bag mindset to a barn mindset, we open ourselves up to the incredible ways God wants to work in and through us. Each act of giving is an opportunity to transform lives, meet needs, and advance the kingdom of God. By trusting God with our finances, we demonstrate our faith in His provision and experience His blessings in abundance. [01:09:50]
Matthew 6:31-33 (ESV): "Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."
Reflection: Consider an area of your finances where you struggle with trust. How can you take a step of faith today to trust God more fully in that area?
Want us to do something real quick. As we're believing God, as we're singing these songs, we're singing them by faith. We're believing God for these things.
And maybe you're new here. Maybe this is your first time here. Maybe you're not accustomed to this. And so maybe you may not understand fully what's happening. But as we are singing these songs, we are declaring the goodness of God, and we're declaring who God is.
Okay? So as we're declaring those things, we're not declaring them because we don't, you know, life is wonderful and everything is perfect. No. We're declaring these things because we're looking to see God move in this situation.
Regardless of my finances, miracle after miracle. Regardless of my health, miracle after miracle. Regardless of my marriage, miracle after miracle.
So I need you to do something real quick. We're going to sing this one last time. But what I want you to do is, can you just think about whatever that thing is? That thing is that you're believing God for, the miracle that you need, the breakthrough that you need.
Can you do me a favor? Can you just put that thing in your hand? Just put that thing in your hand. And I want you to hold that thing. Hold it in your hand. If you ain't got nothing, then we'll deal with you at benediction.
But for those of us that got issues, for those of us that are looking for miracles, for those of us that are looking for God to do something that only God can do, I need you to get that thing in your hand right now. And I need you to just lift that thing up.
And Adriana is going to lead us again in this portion. And I want you just to lift that thing up, and I want you to sing and imagine God just taking that thing out of your hand and handling it.
But I need you to sing it like you mean it. I need you to sing it by faith. Some of you can't sing it because you don't see it. But that's the thing. You have to sing it until you say it.
And we are going to declare, and we are going to believe by faith that God is going to do it. Sing that thing. Oh, miracle.
Hey guys, Pastor Kenan here. I want to invite you to the National Day of Praise and Worship celebration. Here at Limitless Church, we're going to have some Christian hip hop music, some praise music, some worship music.
It is going to be an amazing time, and we want you to celebrate with us the last Wednesday of September, September the 25th. We want you to join us. We're going to start at 6:30 p.m., and we're going to go, and we're going to have a wonderful time.
I cannot wait for you to join us. Don't just bring yourself. Invite somebody you know, invite a family member, invite a neighbor, invite a friend. We want to pack this place out as we celebrate National Day of Praise and Worship. See you there.
Hey guys, I am excited to invite you to something new that's happening here at Limitless Church. Wednesday, October the 2nd, we are beginning something called the Limitless Deep Dive.
And basically what it is, is it is a time of community for us to dive into what we heard on Sunday. It'll start at 6 with some community time. And at 6:30, we'll do a small recap of the Sunday service.
And then we'll break into groups based on our life season and talk about what we heard. I think this is going to be a wonderful time of community and a wonderful time of growing for our church.
And so if you would like to be a part of that, please register and sign up. Or if you say, hey, I would like to lead a table here at the church, then hey, sign up for that. We want you to be a part of it.
We are excited to take some time and really dive into the word of God. God bless.
All right. Good morning. I'm excited to be with you guys this morning. Thought we had a testimonial video. Then I remembered that we have something different this morning.
So we have been in this series called Limitless Edition, talking about what it means to be a believer here at Limitless Church. Okay? We talked about this past couple of weeks that if you look around, you'll see everybody is represented here.
One of my favorite things about this church is that we are a multicultural, multi-ethnic, multi-generational church. Yeah. And I love that about us. I love the fact that we can celebrate that, that everybody here is family.
And I believe that when we get to heaven, this is what it's going to look like. Everybody's going to be there. All age. Everybody's going to be represented. And that is amazing.
While that is the case, I understand that people have different backgrounds. You may come from different places. And some of you may even come from different religious backgrounds.
And so because of that, you find yourself here at Limitless Church. And what it meant to be a believer or to be a Christian might be a little different here at Limitless. It might be a little different.
So I, as the pastor, want to make sure that I am very clear about what it means to be a Christian here at Limitless Church. Now, I want to make this clear so that this isn't confusing for you.
Here at Limitless, what it means to be a Christian is the same thing that it means to be a Christian according to the Word of God. Okay? Okay? Okay? Okay? Okay? Okay?
Like, I'm picking random things out and saying this is what it means. No. This is what it means to be a Christian here at Limitless Church. Okay?
Because you may come and you may say, oh, well, this message is just for members. This message is just for people who are a member here, who have been here. No. If you call yourself a believer, if you call yourself a follower of Jesus, then this is what it means to be a Christian.
Okay? However, if you find yourself in this church and this is your home, then this is also what it means to be a Christian here at Limitless Church. And so I want to clarify what these things mean.
Okay? So we're going to start from the beginning. When I opened up this series, week one, we talked about to be a Christian here at Limitless, it means that we own our faith.
Okay? We take ownership of our faith. Okay? We are not just hearers. We are not just hearers of the word, but we are doers of the word. And we understand that each one of us is responsible for our own spiritual growth.
Okay? Each one of us is responsible for our own spiritual growth. Guess what, guys? Your pastor is not responsible for your spiritual growth.
Okay? Your pastor is not responsible for your spiritual growth. Your husband and or wife is not responsible. Your parents are not responsible for your spiritual growth.
Your parents are not responsible for your spiritual growth. Here, we are called to take ownership of our faith.
Okay? Last week, I had the privilege of having my mom here, and she preached on part two where we talked about that we are committed to attending church when the doors are open.
Okay? We are committed to attending. Why? Why? Because we believe in the power of the assembly. We believe that something amazing happens when we are together in the room.
Okay? We said that church attendance is not just about checking a box. Okay? It's not just about checking a box to say that you were here and that you did something.
It is a blessing in the presence. Okay? There is a blessing in your presence. There's a blessing for you. There's a blessing for you, for what you will receive.
And there's a blessing for others because they are blessed by seeing you. Okay? There is something significant that happens when we are in the room.
Speaking with my mom last week, she talked about how we are all living epistles. Okay? We are all living Bibles that people are reading.
And when we come together in the room, there's an opportunity for us to read what God is doing. That is why it is important that when God does something in your life, you share it.
Why? Because that is an encouragement to somebody else that you don't even know. Hey, you know, God did this for me. God did that for me. There is something that happens when we're together in the room.
Okay? Now, this week, we want to continue on what it means to be a believer at Limitless. Today, we are going to dive into giving. We give generously.
All right. Do me a favor, everyone. On the top right-hand corner of your shoulder, you'll see an imaginary seatbelt there. Please grab it.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm trying to get on Southwest. Grab it, please, for me. Grab it, please, for me. Click it. You know, they do the thing.
Yeah, click that on. Put your seatbelt on because we are going to go. I don't want nobody. I know. I drive cars. I'm crazy, so you want to put your seatbelt on today, okay?
All right. All right. We're going to dive in what it means to give and give generously. Let's pray.
Heavenly Father, thank you for your word. Thank you, God, for speaking to us today through your word. We believe that the word is already anointed.
So today, God, would you anoint our ears so that we can hear you? God, would you anoint our hearts so that we can receive what you're saying?
Not just the words that are coming across the pulpit, Lord, but what are you saying individually to each and every one of us? What are you speaking to our hearts today, God?
Because we don't want to just be hearers. We want to be doers. Speak to us today. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
All right. Today we're diving into giving. At Limitless, we give generously. We give generously because we are grateful.
We are grateful for what we have received generously. We trust God to use our resources to fulfill his will and build his kingdom.
At Limitless, we are givers, and we have been called to excel in generosity. Say this with me. I am. All of you. I am. A giver. I am. A giver.
I am. A giver. Some of y'all need to say that by faith. I am. I am. A giver. A giver.
All right. We are called to excel in generosity. This word generosity means the quality of being generous or the willingness to give freely.
Okay? The quality of being generous or the willingness to give freely. There are two types of people. There are givers and there are getters.
Okay? Two. That's the two. Ain't no middle. Right? There are givers and there are getters.
Now, while we may find ourselves on the receiving end of God's grace, of the receiving end of God's mercy, on the receiving end of God's blessings, please make no mistake that we are called to be givers.
Okay? We are called, and we have been placed on this earth to be a giver. You and I, Limitless, we have been placed here at this time in this specific location in part.
To do what? To show radical generosity. To show radical generosity to this city and to those around us. We are called to be givers.
Now, why? Why on earth would we be called to be givers? Why do we give here at Limitless? Number one, we give because we recognize that everything that we have been given, including our finances, we have been given.
Our finances was the Lord's to begin with. Okay? We recognize everything that we have, it wasn't ours in the first place. It was given to us. And so we give.
Number two, we give as a response to the generosity that we've received from God. It is a response. I can't just let him keep giving to me and me not give nothing.
That is somebody that has a selfish mindset. And we would dare call that person ungrateful. I can't just let you keep waking me up every morning.
I can't let you keep providing for every need that I have. I can't let you keep protecting me everywhere that I go that I can make it to and fro and blessing my family and my household.
And I can't keep doing that and do nothing. So I give out of a response to the generosity that I have received from God.
Number three, we give out of obedience to God. God has called us to give. And out of a reverence and an honor to him, we choose to be obedient in our giving to God.
Number four, we give so that others might come to know him through our generosity. We give so that others might come to know him through our generosity.
We had an opportunity very quickly because I got a lot to do in a little bit of time. We had an opportunity to sow. There was something called the Mercy House in Zambia.
A lot of you remember we had Pastor Sam here from Operation I Dream in Zambia. And we talked about the Mercy House.
And we said the Mercy House was a place where Pastor Sam would go to the hospital and he would grab children who had been given up on by doctors and their family because either they didn't have the finances to continue to treat them or the doctors felt that they didn't have the money.
They didn't want to waste their time on the kids because the family had no finances to treat them. And so what Pastor Sam would do is he would go to the hospital and he would grab those kids, and they built something called, which they now call the Mercy House.
And there's kids in there who have HIV. There are kids in there who have gangrene, who are missing limbs. And he said, he came and he said, we don't have enough space to fit any more kids.
And we heard that testimony, and we heard him say that. And we came together as a church and said, hey, we want to sow into this.
And a lot of you have been giving in your missions offering. And I believe we have a picture up there of what this, I got this picture last Sunday while we were in service.
And this is the Mercy House. And this is the extended portion that they are now building as a result of our giving.
They now have an opportunity to have more kids, more kids in that space. Why does this matter? Here we go.
We give. We give so that others might come to know him through our generosity. Because guess what? There are going to be some kids that they're going to be able to rescue from the hospital.
And when they rescue those kids from the hospital and they nurture those kids back, at some point, the kid is going to want to know why.
Why did you save me? Why didn't you let me die? Why didn't you let me just stay out there in the streets? And they will be able to say, let me introduce you to Jesus.
And that was my message. And that's what I made possible because of our generosity.
So we give so that others might come to know him through our generosity. We're going to read 2 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians chapter 9.
I'm going to start at verse 10. Verse 10. Here we go. 2 Corinthians 9, verse 10.
Now, he who provides seed for the sower and bread for food will provide and multiply your seed for sowing.
Okay. He who provides seed. Seed for who? It's not a pop quiz, people. It's on the screen.
He who provides seed for who? So if he provides seed, the seed is for the sower. So if he hasn't provided seed, there's a chance that you're not.
Oh, y'all said it. I didn't say it. I just want to make sure. Okay. He who provides seed for the sower and bread for the food will provide and multiply your seed so that you can have the house that you want.
So that you can have the car that you want. So that you can have the family that you want. So you can get those rims. So you can have all the nice and fine clothes.
No. The devil is a liar. It's not what it's for. He said he multiplies your seed for sowing.
That is your resources and increase the harvest of your righteousness, which shows itself in active goodness, kindness, and love.
You will be enriched in every way so that you may be. Be generous. And this generosity and ministers through us is producing thanksgiving to God from those who benefit for the ministry of this service.
This offering is not only supplying the needs of the saints, but it is also overflowing through many expressions of thanksgiving to God.
He said, because you chose to give, people are thanking God because of this act of ministry. I saw this. I thought this was amazing.
He says, because of this act of ministry. I was like, wait a minute. It looks like, as I'm reading this, that God is saying that giving is an act of ministry.
So if somebody asked me what ministry I'm serving in. Oh, today I'm serving in the giving ministry today. Today.
Oh, y'all ain't laughing because y'all won't be a part of that. I get it. It's all right. Hey, hey, but, but me, wait, wait till we get to the end of this thing.
But for me, the ministry that I want to operate. I want to operate. The ministry that I want to serve in is I want to serve in the ministry of giving.
Why? What does he say? Because of this act of ministry. Now, y'all who didn't get excited before, don't get excited now.
Because of this act of ministry, they will glorify God for your obedience to the gospel of Christ, which you confess, as well as your generous participation in this gift for them and for all the other believers in need.
So because you are. So because you are serving in this ministry, it says they will glorify God for the ministry is not only supplying the needs of the saints, but it's overflowing through many expressions.
This is why we give. This is why we have been called to give. This is why giving is important.
Why? Because we don't see giving as an obstacle. We see it as an opportunity.
Okay? This is where a mind shift has to take place. I told you, put on your seatbelt because it's going to get uncomfortable.
You here, you might as well just take it and let the Lord do what he's going to do. Okay? We don't see it as an obstacle. We see it as an opportunity.
Okay? It's an opportunity to show our trust, to show our gratitude and our obedience to God. It is an opportunity to show the world who our God is.
It is an opportunity to show the world who our God is. Well, what do you mean, pastor? Because in a time where there is lack going on, in a time where the world says, keep everything you have, have everything you keep, be stingy, keep it for yourself.
When the world is doing that and you make a decision to say, no, I'm going to be generous. They're going to be like, what is wrong with you?
Don't you see the price of gas? How are you giving stuff away? Don't you know that it costs money to do this and it costs money to do that? How are you giving stuff away?
And you can say, I'm glad. I'm glad you asked because my trust isn't what in what I have. My trust isn't in my resource. My trust isn't in my job. My trust isn't in my bank account. My trust is in God.
Why? Well, how are you going to trust God? I trust him too because it says he provides seed to the sower.
So what I'm going to do, I'm trying to, I'm trying to put some seed in the ground. I'm trying to put some seed in the ground. I'm going to do what it takes to put seed in the ground.
And then I get to show them. I cannot wait for the day that they talk about Limitless Church. And they say, I don't even, I don't even understand how they stand open.
Every time they get something, they give it away. Every time you see it, they giving away this. They giving away that. How they even maintain it?
How, how, how was that church even standing? How they haven't closed the doors of that church because they giving so much stuff away.
And I'm like, yeah, yeah. Now, now you get it. Now you understand. Now you're realizing.
See, if we are going to make an impact in this city, if we're going to turn this city upside down for Jesus, then we are called to show the love of God.
And the way that one of the ways, the primary ways that we have an opportunity to show the love of God is through our generosity.
How can you say that pastor? Well, John 3:16 says, for God so loved the world that he, so I can say, I love you. How do I show it?
I'm giving of my resources. I'm giving of my time. I'm giving of my gifts. I'm giving of what God has given me.
Well, aren't you afraid you ain't going to have it? No, because he provides seed to the. All right, let's keep going. I got to get out of here.
All right. When we begin to shape and shift our thinking, we begin to really understand the impact of our giving.
When that happens, when we make that mind shift change, it changes our attitude and it even changes our desire to be a giver.
When we have the right heart and the right mindset towards giving, that's when the harvest of giving is activated.
Okay? Okay. The harvest of giving is activated when we shift our mind and we shift our attitude towards giving.
Okay? I was born in the eighties. I'm really a nineties baby. But when I was little, I've seen pictures of people.
I don't know why they did this. Dad is probably included. They will put stuff in their hair. Some of y'all put too much.
Anyway, it'll put something in their hair and they call it an activator. Okay? They will put active uncle Pete wet and wavy.
Okay? So they will put activator in their hair. Okay? They will put activator in their hair.
And I'm like, why do they put activator in their hair? Well, what will happen is when they put it in the hair, it would activate the curls in their hair.
There was some chemical composition that would take place that once you put it in, it would create a change.
Okay? What does that mean? When we change our heart and our mind towards giving, it activates the harvest of giving in our lives.
Okay? It activates the harvest of giving in our life. Okay? Which brings us to the question. We need a mindset change.
Where did our mindset get wrong? What happened? Where did our mindset shift? Why do we struggle with giving?
Why do we get funny with the money? Why? You can hear a pin drop. When a pastor starts talking about money in church, you could hear, I wanted to say something else, but I can't say that here, but you can hear a pin drop when a pastor talks about finances.
But the fact of the matter is the Bible says a lot about money matters. Why? Because money matters.
Okay? It matters to us because we need it. It matters to God because he owns it. It matters to Satan because he wants it.
And that is why God has a plan for you and your money. He has a plan on how we are to get money. He has a plan on how we should use money.
He has a plan on how we should give money. There is a plan that God has already established.
Now, I fully understand that some of you may get confused. You may get a little easy and uneasy and uncomfortable when a pastor brings up money due to the inaccurate examples of those who have abused the pulpit for their financial gain.
I understand that, but that's not most of us. Most of us have this, this feel your chest is getting tight as a message is going.
I know you uncomfortable. You want to get out, but you know, if you move, everybody going to know it's you. So just be still and be patient. You'll be all right.
Okay? Most of us, it's not because of the inaccurate examples, but most of us, it is due because we have this, this, this thing about our money.
The money is the precious. Okay? Some of y'all might've watched Lord of the Rings. You get me? Gollum.
And he is the precious. Oh, the precious. We love the precious. Oh yes, the precious will be ours. Right?
So Lord of the Rings, there's this animal or whatever you want to call it. It's Gollum. He has this ring. The ring is the precious.
He just loves it. He adores it. He will do anything to keep it. He will kill somebody if they try to take it.
And for some of us, the money is the precious. We will do whatever it takes to get it. We will do whatever it takes to keep it.
And we will do whatever it is it takes to make sure that we have it. But in reality, what it's really doing is it is exposing that this is an area in our life that we have yet to trust God in.
That's really what it is. You get to the root of why you upset, why you angry, why you're on fire right now. It's because this is an area that you have yet to fully submit to God.
You say, God, you can be Lord of my family. You can be Lord of my marriage. You can be Lord of my kids. You can be Lord of my house.
But when it comes to my money, give me my money. I know I had to get it in there. But here's the problem.
We still think that our money is ours. We still think that our money is ours. Second Corinthians nine says he supplies seed to the sower.
Who? He. Who? God. If he's supplying the seed, then guess what? The seed was his to begin with. It's his to begin with.
All right. You don't believe me. That's fine. Psalms 24:1. Psalms 24:1 says, the earth is the Lord's and all it contains, the world and those who dwell in it.
So how are we still thinking that we got something? It's his. It's his to begin with. It is not ours.
You got the, you like you pastor. You know, I work 40 hours. Who do you think woke you up to work the 40 hours? Who?
I've seen you drive. Who do you think made you allowed you to get to work safely? And back home safely.
You on your phone, you look up, you pull it in your driveway. Don't remember how you got there. The Lord does. It's his.
The earth is the Lord's. So as we desire to grow closer to God, as we desire to be the limitless believers that God calls us to be, we have to change our mindset when it comes to giving this, my precious view of money.
We got to get real. Real of that. Real of that. That is called the bag mindset.
Somebody say the bag. It's called the bag mindset. And if we want to see God's hand on our finances like never before, we have to move from the bag mindset to the barn mindset.
And when we do that, everything changes from the bag to the barn, from the bag to the barn. Let's talk about the bag mindset first.
Okay. Here is the bag mindset. Okay. The bag mindset says, as soon as we receive, we consume.
Okay. Because we consume, we lack. Because we lack, we are now in fear. And then the cycle keeps going.
We receive. And once we receive, we consume. Once we consume, we lack. And once we lack, we are in fear.
And so what happens is we hold on to anything and everything that we have. Why? Because we have a bag mindset.
We have to get rid of this mindset. We have to be free from this mindset. This mindset will keep you in poverty.
This mindset will keep you in lack. This mindset will keep God from being able to use you in the area of your finances.
You're like, God, I want you to use me. I can't because you don't really believe me.
All right. We move from the bag mindset to the barn mindset. I am way behind. Hallelujah.
All right. The barn mindset. Let's go. Okay. Here's the barn mindset.
The barn mindset says, because we receive, once we receive, the first thing we do is we look for an area to give.
Okay? Once we give, God multiplies it because we gave. And once God multiplies it, it builds our faith.
And guess what? The cycle continues. Once we build our faith, guess what? The amount that we receive is now more than it was because now we moved to another level.
Okay? So now, now, he's trusted us with, uh, but because we got the barn mindset, by the time we get back around to receiving again, he says, because you were faithful over the little, now I can bless you with the, come on, the barn mindset.
We have to move to the barn mindset. Okay? Pastor, you said all that. Give me some scripture to back it up. No problem. I'm glad you asked.
Proverbs chapter three, verse nine through 10. Put that up. Honor the Lord with your wealth.
Okay? Honor the Lord with your wealth and the first root of all your crops or your income. Then your barns will be abundantly filled.
Wait a minute. That looks like giving. And then once I give, you multiply it. Oh my God. It's right there in the scripture.
Who would have thought? And a pastor will be preaching the word of God. Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the first root of all your crops.
Then your barns will be filled and your vats will overflow with new wine. Luke chapter six, verse 38. Give. And it will be given away.
It will be given unto you. Oh my goodness. It looks like you give and then you give and the Lord multiplies it.
Oh, how? Well, let's continue with the multiply. Given it would be given unto you. They will pour into your lap a good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over.
Look at this with no space left for more. But with the standard of measurement you use when you do good to others, it will be measured to you in return.
Okay? So we get excited because we're like, oh, given measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over. We excited about that, but pay attention to the fine print.
Pay attention to the fine print. The second part says for with the standard of measurement you use when you do good to others, it will be measured to you in return.
Yeah, that's a little different right there. Cause some of y'all stand G boy. Excuse me. Some of us is staying G boy.
Okay. Because we give and it be, it hurts us to give. Oh, the bucket got to go by fast as if it keep it any longer.
You might pull it back out. What you put in like, you better take that thing now. He says, with the standard of measurement you use when you do good, that's going to come back to you.
And you wonder, God, why didn't I get the press down, shaking together, running over? Cause you didn't give the press down, shaking together, running over.
Your heart wasn't right about giving. You barely, you didn't even do what I asked you. You barely did half of what I asked you to do, which really is disobedience, but we're going to deal with that later.
That's not today's sermon. All right. He's saying this. My son Cadence, last year we did the bash. I was an outreach. We did. It's crazy.
We had tons of families here. My son Cadence, y'all pray for him. He needs deliverance. Say Cadence, we got this candy.
Let's give away this candy. I was going to ask you for a picture. Cause we had, we was at my, my sister, a lot of house. We had just a ridiculous amount of candy.
The entire neighborhood came to our house and went, am I lying? The entire neighborhood came to our house. We had tons of candy.
So before this happened, I tell my son Cadence, he has a little bag of candy. I said, but go give away the candy, go find some kids to give the candy away to instant tears.
I mean, it was like, you called them on cue. You're like tears. He was like, ah, right. I said, I need you to, I said, go give away the candy.
But he was so sad. He was like, no, can I just keep this? Because I don't want to give it away. And this is my candy.
And they gave it to me at church and they said, I can have it. I don't want to give it away. Meanwhile, I have six, at least six, 12 gallon trash bags full of candy in my trunk tour.
I, when I'm pulling them out of the, I'm pulling them like this into Lana's house. This is what I got in the truck.
And I'm saying, Cadence, please go give away this little bag of candy that you have, but he can't, he doesn't want to give it away because he's like, if I give it away, then I don't have anything left.
And I'm like, son, you don't understand what I got in the truck. You don't even know what I got in the truck.
Here's the thing. This is us. We're Cadence, guys. We're all Cadence because we have this little thing, this money that God has given us, this small resource that he's given us.
And we refuse to give it away. He says, give it tears instantly, right? We cry and we, Lord, no, you don't understand.
He's like, do you understand what I have? Do you understand what I have ready? Do you understand that I give seed to the sower?
Do you understand that I own the world? It's all mine. And if you would just be willing to get rid of this, I can bless you with all of this.
But as long as you keep this, I can give you no more. Because if you can't trust me with this, I can't trust you with this.
We got to change our mindset. This is where we have to make the shift. We have to move from a bag mindset concerning our finances and move to a barn mindset.
Now, instead of asking, does it matter? We have to know that it absolutely matters. And it means everything that we are a generous church.
It matters because giving gives us an opportunity. Giving is an opportunity to reflect God's character.
Giving is an opportunity for us to reflect or demonstrate Christ-like faith. Giving is an opportunity for us to bless others.
Giving is an opportunity for us to show spiritual growth. We're like, oh God, I want to, I want to, I want to go deeper in you, God.
And God's like, give. You're like, nah, I want to go that deep. But it's an opportunity for us to show spiritual growth.
It's an opportunity for us to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. Because by meeting the physical need, it opens the door so that we can provide a spiritual need.
Jesus, little kid come by with a three-piece dinner. They're like, what you bring? What are we going to do with that? That's all you got.
Jesus prays over it. It multiplies and feeds the thousands. And then they sit down because now they can hear the word over their stomach because their stomach is full.
Now they can hear the word and receive the word. This is what giving has the opportunity to do.
So what do we do? What do we do? We are called to give. And if we want to see God's hand on our finances, we want to be used to bless others.
If we want to move from lack to surplus, if we want to move from bag to barn, then we got to activate generosity.
We got to activate generosity. We have to activate it in our life. It's like we said, boom, activate.
So how, what is the chemical compound? What is the chemical compound that we use to activate generosity in our life?
Okay, let's get started. 50 seconds. Okay, let's get started. Okay, here we go.
We activate generosity first with the tithe. Somebody say tithe. All right. The word tithe is just a fancy word for 10th.
Okay, 10th. Okay, it means a 10th. In the old covenant, otherwise known as the Old Testament, God's people were commanded to bring 10% of their increase to the Lord.
So 10% out of 100. God only asked them to give 10% back to him. The tithe represents 10%.
10% of our income. $1 out of $10, $10 out of $100, so on, so forth. 10%.
When we honor him with our 10%, the 90% is blessed. And you can do a whole lot more with 90% that is blessed than 100% that is not blessed.
You can do it. That's just how God works. It multiplies. Malachi 3 verse 10 says, bring the whole tithe into the storehouse so there might be food in my house.
Bring the whole tithe. Bring the whole tithe. Test me in this. In Laman's turn, Jesus said, try me. Try me.
And see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.
Malachi talks about bringing the whole tithe. Where? Into the storehouse. Why? So there might be sufficiency in my house.
Where is the storehouse? The place that you are getting poured into. The place that is providing spiritual nourishment. The place that is providing community.
The place where you are being fed. This is the storehouse. And so the question is, how are we taking care of God's house?
I tithe at Limitless because one, this is the place that is pouring into me. Two, I want to take care of God's house.
You can complain about the AC all day. How are you taking care of God's house? Pastor, when are we going to get into the building?
How are you taking care of God's house? Pastor, when are we going to do this? And why are we doing this? And why, you know, yeah, yeah, great question.
How are you taking care of God's house? How are we taking care of God's house? Then he says, test me in this.
This is the only place in scripture where he says this. Why does he say this here? God doesn't need your money.
God doesn't need your money. What he wants is your heart. This ain't no money issue. This is a heart issue.
This is a heart thing. God says, trust me and I will bless you. Honor me and I will bless you. It's not a money issue. It's a heart issue.
Tithing isn't a matter of what you think about giving. It is a matter of what you think about God.
What do you believe about God? Do you believe that he's going to do what he says that he's going to do?
Do you believe that he will take care of you? Do you believe that he's not going to have you out there looking crazy?
Do you believe? It's a matter of what you believe about God, not what you believe about tithing. That's the thing that has to change.
The tithe is how we begin to activate generosity in our lives. I remember Miss Leona telling us the story. Where you at? Raise your wave at the people.
Miss Leona shared her testimony here on the screen about how the Lord spoke to her in regards to her giving and asked her to increase her giving.
And you're like, Lord, I ain't got it. And that's the funny thing we do. We act like God don't know what's going on.
Lord, I ain't got it. You sure? Because I feel like I gave it to you. So it's like, I ain't got it.
And the Lord says, yes, you do. So I need you to give it. Remember, it's a matter of what you believe about God.
So if I believe that God is faithful, if I believe that God will take care of me, if I believe that he has a plan for my life, if I believe that he will not fail me when he's asking me to do something, I'm going to move on it based on what I believe about God.
Right? So she says, based on what I believe about God, I am going to do what you told me to do.
I am moving in faith because I have no idea how this is going to happen. That's why it's called faith.
I know a lot of us don't really remember that, but that's why it's called faith. If you knew how it was going to happen, it wouldn't be faith.
It's another sermon. Okay, so she moves on her faith, and God now gives, multiplies back to her more than what she gave.
Why? Why, why, why, why, why, why, why? Because of obedience. I don't even see Tim. Tim! Right here on the front row. Wave at everybody.
Hey! Tells us about how God spoke to him in regards to his giving. And as a result of his obedience, wouldn't that just be like God to do exactly what he said he was going to do?
This is the thing. It's not just about us. It's about what God is doing through us. This is how we, so tithing is how we begin to activate generosity in our lives.
Leviticus tells us that the tithe is the Lord's. Now, this is very clear because I know y'all going to have a conversation about this.
So I want to clear this up. The Old Covenant commanded a tithe. But since we are not under the Old Covenant anymore, we don't tithe because it's a command.
And we don't tithe because we're worried that God is going to curse us if we don't tithe. No, that is the Old Covenant.
Now we tithe as a response to God's generosity and love towards us. I got to give because he's been good.
I got to give because he's been good. And we're in the Old Covenant, the tithe was the standard. In the New Covenant, the tithe is now a starting place.
He says, I'm going to start you. You just start you right here. And then we're going to let you grow. We're going to let you move.
Listen, we have to cultivate this barn mindset and this heart of generosity. We got to cultivate it.
Tithe is how we begin to activate the generosity. The next way we begin to activate generosity is through offering.
Somebody say offering. Offering. Offering. This is where generosity takes shape.
When we tithe, we return back to God what he requires. But offering is our opportunity to double down.
Offering is our opportunity to show gratitude. It is something that we offer up to God in a free way.
It is our gratitude in action. God, you've been good, so I give. I'm not giving just what you gave me.
I'm not giving you. If I give you back what you gave me, you gave me that. So I'm giving that back.
But generosity says, oh, no, over and above. I can't just stop there. 2 Corinthians 9 says, remember this.
He who sows sparingly will reap sparingly. He who sows generously that blessings may come to others will also reap generously and be blessed.
Let each one give thoughtfully and with purpose as he has decided in his heart. Not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver and delights in the one whose heart is in his gift.
He's talking about an offering. Offering is moving from the I have to the I get to.
This is the opportunity that we get to show the resources that God has given us into good ground. In our offering, we get to fund God's vision and sow seeds for the harvest.
Offering moves you from a poor, a planter to a farmer, okay? It moves you from a planter to a farmer.
I am a planter in real life. Not is this. I am a planter, okay? I have a garden.
I had a garden at my house. I've since moved the garden to our office. I got cucumbers. I got tomatoes.
I got squash. I got eggplant. What else I got in there? I got marigolds. I got lettuce.
I got, right? I'm a planter, okay? I have this thing in the back, back there.
And it has these pods in it. You put the pods in it. Water, hydroponics. It works. It just works, okay?
So you do all that. But listen, I can only put 24 plants in this situation, right? I'm a planter.
I can only put 24 plants in it. As I put, that is the max that I can get because I am a planter.
Now, totally different. Never knew about farming until I came to California. There's not many farms in Atlanta, okay?
In the city in Atlanta, there's not many farms. So we move from planting to farming.
Now, I am driving past these orchards. I cannot even count how many trees there are there, okay? That is the difference.
Why? They planted more. So guess what? They received more because they put more seed in the ground.
Offering is our opportunity to put more seed in the ground. To move from a planter to a farmer, okay?
Our offering is the activator for the over and above. When God blesses our resource and we've honored him with our tithe, offering allows us to put our generosity in action.
Here at this church, offering allows us to meet the needs of our congregation. It offers us the opportunity through benevolence to meet the emergencies that happen.
It allows us to meet the needs of our city through outreach. A lot of us see the bash and the other outreach things.
Offering allows us to do that. It allows us to meet the needs of the body through local missions.
We have missionaries that are here right now. Where is Tina? Where is she at? She's not here. Did she leave?
Okay. All right. She should have been here, okay? She's here right now trying to raise how much?
Somebody tell me, what was it? $420. $420. Trying to raise $420 so that she can go minister to people across this world.
Offering allows us the opportunity to say, hey, you know what? The Lord told me that I already took care of my tithe.
The Lord told me to bless you. I want you to go and tell these people who don't know about Jesus about Jesus, and we're not going to let $400 stop you from doing that.
Offering offers us the opportunity to do that. Generosity, it moves us from a me mindset to a mission mindset.
How can I partner with God through my giving to see his kingdom come? Adriana, please come.
2 Corinthians 9, verse 8. And God is able to make all grace, every favor, every earthly blessing come in abundance to you so that you may always, under all circumstance, regardless of the need, have complete sufficiency in everything.
Being completely sufficient in him and have abundance for every good work and every act of charity.
What is he saying? He is saying, he says, I'm God, and I am able to make all things, all grace happen in abundance to you.
Why? So that no matter what's going on, they saying it's a deficit and prices is about to go up and needs is about to, gas is going to get high, money is going to be low and the stock market is doing this.
You ain't worried. Why? Oh, because God said he is able to make all grace and favor and earthly blessings come in abundance to me.
But what about, you know, the job is saying they're going to cut your hours and the bank account is looking crazy and you don't know what it, okay.
You know what? But I am not going to imagine how much time and effort and energy we spend worrying about money.
Think about it. Hairline receding, hair gone, gray hair, high blood pressure, all of this kind of stress.
Your body is wrecked because you're stressed and you can't seem to let it go. Why? Because you're worried.
You're worried about money. Imagine what would happen if you just trusted God. Imagine if you say, you know what?
I am making a decision from this day forward no longer to worry about money. Instead, what I am going to do is I'm going to cast my worries, my fears and my anxieties on him because he cares for me.
Imagine if I did what the word said to do. I'm so stressed. I'm so stressed. This is just about money.
And God's like, you do you understand what I have? Do you understand who I am?
But again, it's this opportunity to say, do you trust me? 2 Corinthians 9:8 is talking about the result of being a giver.
This is what God is able to do when we get serious about trusting him in the area of our finances. This isn't just an obligation. This is generosity.
And from that generosity, God is able to make sure that you have every resource to continue being generous.
He gives seed to the sower. We tithe to honor God. We give our offerings out of gratitude for his faithfulness.
But we do it all so that his work might be completed and accomplished here on this earth. Limitless, we are called to be givers.
And when we give, God blesses us, enriches our lives, and we get to see the faithfulness of God through our actions.
He doesn't just call us to give. He invites us to experience the joy, the peace, and the freedom that comes from trusting him with our money.
When we shift from a bag mindset to a barn mindset, we're not just changing our perspective on money.
We're opening ourselves up to the incredible ways that God wants to work in us. Because if I can do that, if I can trust him with my money, there's no limit to what he can do.
Each act of giving is an opportunity to transform lives, meet needs, and advance the kingdom of God.
It is my desire that Limitless would be the kind of church that reflects the heart of God. Generous, loving, and passionate about serving others.
It is time to move from the bag to the barn. Today, we need to commit to living generously, knowing that our gift is an opportunity for God to do the miraculous.
Through our giving, we're able to meet needs. And I remember, very quickly, I remember we had a need that was presented in our church not long ago.
We all want to move to our building next door, and we've been talking about raising money and raising funds for the building next door.
And we've been doing projects on the inside. Last, for those of you who were here at the Vision Sunday, you were able to see our bathrooms and our balcony that's being built.
Right before we got into that, we had a really bad rainstorm, and we noticed that there was a problem with the roof.
The roof was there, but nothing else was there. There was no underlayment to protect from the rain.
And so when it would rain, and there would be wind, rain would have just come on in the building. There was nothing to stop it.
And that was a big deal. And obviously, as I'm talking to Joel, we're like, hey, there's not much construction that we want to continue doing, because when the rain comes, it's just going to destroy it.
And so we went out and we said, how much is it going to cost to get a new roof? Hallelujah. Roofs are not cheap.
And we just happened to have one of the biggest roofs in the city, because that's how God likes to do things, I guess.
And it was quite a lot of money. And I said, God, I have no idea. We're trying to get in the building. The roof wasn't even a part of the deal.
So how are we going to do this? And as weeks go by, my wife continues to encourage me, and she says, hey, today could be the day.
Today could be the day. Today could be the day. Don't worry about it. Don't fret about it. Today could be the day.
Put seed in the ground. You want to be a farmer? Put seed in the ground. You want to see God move on the resources of this church? Put seed in the ground.
It could come from anywhere. It don't matter. And as a result of the generosity of people who sit in this congregation right now, this past week, there we go, this past week, we started getting the roof replaced on our new building.
That's the underlayment right there. That's the underlayment right there that you see that's getting put on.
So now when it rains, we don't have to worry about things, you know, everything being destroyed in our church.
But this is a result of the faithfulness of God. This is a result of God being God in our life and in the life of this church.
People ask, oh, whatever they say about Limitless, I don't care. Why? Because I see the faithfulness of God on this church.
I see what God is doing through the lives of people in this church. And it was way out of budget.
And God said, I asked you about your budget. I got this. Why? Because I give seed to the sower.
And not once did we stop an outreach. Not once did we stop any of the things that we normally do, ministering to the families, ministering to our marriage, ministering to our kids, ministering to our young adults.
We didn't even blink an eye. We said, God, it's your house. You're going to have to take care of it. And that's exactly what he did.
Last week, the Lord has challenged me in this area. And he says, I need you to give something to someone.
I said, hey, Jesus, I ain't even got it, Lord. I appreciate it. Thank you for thinking of me. But I ain't even got it.
And he knew I got it, of course. He said very simply and plainly, you going to trust me or not?
No sugar around, no, my son, you know, it wasn't none of that. It was like, you going to trust me or not?
Very, very, you going to trust me or not? So I'm like, all right. So I write the check as fast as possible.
I write the check, fold it up, put it in the envelope. Thank you, Jesus. God, you're so good. You're so wonderful, Jesus.
Thank you. You're such, God, thank you for being a provider. God, I just love you so much.
This is amazing that I have an opportunity to sow, Jesus. Thank you, God. Right?
And I go and I give the person what they need, what he told me to give them. Not even two hours later, somebody walks up to me and says, hey, this is going on, that's going on.
I just want to sow this. I just want to give this to you. I said, thank you so much. Thank you so much.
I appreciate it. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Didn't even open it up. The exact same amount that I had given was what the check was written out right back.
Wait. Wait. Because understand the dynamics that has to take place for that to happen.
Somebody had to have the resource. God had to bless them with the resource. They had to hear God to move.
They had to be obedient. They had to write the check. They had to come to church to be willing to give the check.
And then I was able to receive it. And I'm over here like, God, do you trust me or not?
Because I've already, he not tell, I've already set this up. This has been in motion way before you even thought about this.
Do you trust me or not? Yes, God, I trust you. And within two hours, I got that check.
And I can imagine the Lord just because I imagine the Lord. I imagine the Lord looking at me like, mm-hmm. What are we going to do, son?
Because I can't have you up there talking about it if you ain't walking it yourself. I can't have you up there saying it if you ain't going to do it.
So make a decision. You want to trust me or not? And as a result of me trusting him when it was difficult, as a result of me trusting him when I didn't see it, as a result of me trusting him when I had no idea where it was going to come from again, he came through.
This is all we're called to do. Are we going to trust him or not? Because if we can trust him with the little and we can be faithful with the bag, he can trust us.
He can trust us to be faithful with the barn. Heavenly Father, thank you for your word. Thank you for speaking to us today, God.
Thank you for reminding us of your faithfulness and your goodness. Thank you for reminding us that we are called to be givers.
Today, God, in this moment, what would you have us to give? We've heard your word, and now we have an opportunity to move.
How would you have us to move, God? For some of us, God, you challenge us to begin tithing, that 10% to bring the whole tithe.
For some of us, you challenge us to take a step above and give an offering. For those of us who've never given, maybe today is the day that you're challenging us to begin to move from a bag mindset to a barn mindset, to test you at your word, God.
What are you having us to do today? Would you speak to the hearts of your people, God? That we would grow in you.
Today, we have an opportunity to not just be hearers of the word, but to be doers of the word. Would you move?
We honor you. We thank you. In Jesus' name, amen.
Our offering team is going to come forward at this time. There are three ways for you to give. We have our envelopes that are going to be in the seat pocket, our QR code.
You just point your phone at that QR code. A drop down will appear. Once you touch it, it'll pop up and it'll say give to Limitless Church.
Or if you're watching us online, whether it's Sunday or any day this week and you want to give, you can text the word give to 833-879-0161.
Or you can always give at LimitlessWoodland.com. Today, I want to challenge you to make that step.
If this is your very first time, please understand that there is a limit. There is no pressure for you to participate in this whatsoever.
But if you call this place home, but if you want to get in on it, you can get in on it. But if you call this place home, then I want you to ask the Lord, what are you calling me to do?
Just like Miss Leona, just like Tim and his wife. What are you calling me to do today? Try him. See him.
Do what he's always done. Today, we move. No more bags. We in the barn.
God bless you as you give. Mom.
Yeah, all right. If you're new here, this is what we do at Limitless. We put our seeds in the ground and then we speak to our seed.
Stretch your hands. Heavenly Father, we thank you for this opportunity that you have given us to sow into good ground.
Today we heard your word and we made a decision to move out of obedience and out of gratitude. You give seed to the sower and we have sown.
And so we command this seed to go, to grow, and to multiply and do exactly what you've called it to do.
We thank you for moving us from the bag to the barn. We love you. We thank you. In Jesus' name. Amen.
Amen. If you're here today and you have never made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life, we want to offer you that opportunity.
Does success to any mindset change? First, is that your foundation is secure. And unless Jesus Christ is Lord of your life, the change will only be temporary.
It is the Holy Spirit in you that allows you to sustain the change. God loved you so much that he sent his son to die because he wanted to be in relationship with you.
That's how much he loves you. Sin separated us from him. And he said, I am going to send my son because I love them so much.
To suffer the cross, nails in his hand and his feet, death because of his love for us. And he says, if you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, you shall be saved.
It's time that you stop trying to live life on your own. And go to the author and the finisher of life. And that is Jesus.
So if you've never made him Lord of your life, we want to offer you that opportunity. Secondly, if you say I made him Lord but I haven't been making him Lord.
Meaning at one point I gave my life to Christ but I haven't been making decisions that align with that belief. And I want to recommit my life to Christ and we want to offer you that.
And lastly, if you're here today and you just need somebody to stand in agreement with you in prayer, then we want to pray with you.
To my left, your right, our altar team is here. They're coming up right now. We want to offer you this opportunity.
Salvation. Recommitment. Prayer. We want to pray. And we want to see God do what God does.
So if any of those things apply to you, would you grab your book, grab your Bible, grab your pen, grab your backpack, your purse.
Make your way to this altar. We've been waiting on you all weekend. Because we believe that there is something that God wants to do.
And there's something that happens when you get in this room. So if that is you, please make your way to this altar.
And lastly, baptisms are coming up. If you've never gone public with your faith, that is the next step after salvation to say, hey, I want to go public with my faith through baptism.
If that's you, we're going to be celebrating baptism soon. Please meet us outside at the connection table.
We would love to sign you up for baptisms. But do not leave here without getting what you need.
Today is the day of salvation. Today is the day of commitment. Today is the day that God hears you.
But will you make the step to see it happen? That part is up to you.
Heavenly Father, thank you for this word. Thank you for your people. I pray that this word has been sown into good ground.
And that it will produce a harvest. We love you. We thank you. In Jesus' name. Amen.
God bless you. I love you. Don't forget. Live limitless. Peace.
1. "We are not just hearers of the word, but we are doers of the word. And we understand that each one of us is responsible for our own spiritual growth. Guess what, guys? Your pastor is not responsible for your spiritual growth. Your husband and or wife is not responsible. Your parents are not responsible for your spiritual growth. Here, we are called to take ownership of our faith." [23:24] (42 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)
2. "We are committed to attending church when the doors are open. Why? Because we believe in the power of the assembly. We believe that something amazing happens when we are together in the room. Church attendance is not just about checking a box. It is a blessing in the presence. There is a blessing for you, for what you will receive. And there's a blessing for others because they are blessed by seeing you." [24:20] (60 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)
3. "We give generously because we are grateful. We are grateful for what we have received generously. We trust God to use our resources to fulfill his will and build his kingdom. At Limitless, we are givers and we have been called to excel in generosity. Say this with me. I am. A giver. Some of y'all need to say that by faith. I am. A giver." [27:47] (34 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)
4. "We are called and we have been placed on this earth to be a giver. You and I, Limitless, we have been placed here at this time in this specific location in part to show radical generosity to this city and to those around us. We are called to be givers. Now, why? Why on earth would we be called to be givers? Why do we give here at Limitless? Number one, we give because we recognize that everything that we have been given, including our finances, was the Lord's to begin with." [28:42] (41 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)
5. "We give out of obedience to God. God has called us to give. And out of a reverence and an honor to him, we choose to be obedient in our giving to God. Number four, we give so that others might come to know him through our generosity. We give so that others might come to know him through our generosity." [30:27] (27 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)
6. "We don't see giving as an obstacle. We see it as an opportunity. It's an opportunity to show our trust, to show our gratitude and our obedience to God. It is an opportunity to show the world who our God is. In a time where there is lack going on, in a time where the world says, keep everything you have, have everything you keep, be stingy, keep it for yourself. When the world is doing that and you make a decision to say, no, I'm going to be generous. They're going to be like, what is wrong with you?" [37:31] (43 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)
7. "Imagine what would happen if you just trusted God. And God's like, do you understand what I have? Do you understand who I am?" [01:10:58] (39 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)
8. "When we shift from a bag mindset to a barn mindset, we're not just changing our perspective on money. Generous, loving, and passionate about serving others." [01:13:06] (44 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)
9. "We tithe to honor God. He invites us to experience the joy, the peace, and the freedom that comes from trusting him with our money." [01:11:49] (40 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)
10. "We are called to give. And if we want to see God's hand on our finances, we want to be used to bless others. If we want to move from lack to surplus, if we want to move from bag to barn, then we got to activate generosity. We got to activate generosity. We have to activate it in our life. It's like we said, boom, activate." [56:03] (34 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)
