### Summary
In today's sermon, we explored the profound truth that our spiritual thirst can only be quenched by the living water that Jesus offers. We began by acknowledging the struggles we face when we don't see God's promises manifesting in our lives. It's easy to become disheartened and question our faith, especially in the midst of life's storms. However, we are reminded that Jesus is always with us, even when the storm rages on. The enemy uses these storms to make us doubt God's presence and promises, but we must choose to stand firm in our faith.
We delved into the story of the disciples in the storm with Jesus, emphasizing that their lack of faith was not about the quantity but their failure to exercise it. Jesus' calmness in the storm serves as a model for us to trust God despite our circumstances. We also examined the parable of the houses built on different foundations, illustrating that storms come to everyone, but only those who build their lives on the rock of Christ will stand firm.
The sermon highlighted the importance of singing and confessing God's promises, even when we don't see them. This act of faith stirs our spirit and strengthens our belief. We must decide to stand firm regardless of our feelings or situations, trusting that God is working even when we can't see it.
We also discussed the dangers of spiritual dehydration, comparing it to physical thirst and hunger. Just as our bodies need water and food, our souls need the living water that only Jesus can provide. When we seek fulfillment in anything other than God, we are left with empty, temporary substitutes. We must come to Jesus and drink deeply from His well, allowing the Holy Spirit to fill us and sustain us.
Finally, we were encouraged to reassess our lives, schedules, and relationships to ensure that we are seeking fulfillment in God alone. By doing so, we can live in the overflow of His presence, experiencing true peace, joy, and purpose.
### Key Takeaways
1. **Stand Firm in Faith During Storms**: Life's storms are inevitable, but they are not a sign of God's absence. Jesus is with us in every storm, and our faith must be exercised by trusting Him even when we can't see the outcome. Remember, the enemy uses storms to make us doubt, but we must choose to stand firm and believe in God's promises. [21:53]
2. **Build Your Life on the Rock**: The parable of the houses built on different foundations teaches us that storms come to everyone. However, only those who build their lives on the rock of Christ will stand firm. Our foundation in Jesus is what sustains us through life's challenges. [25:17]
3. **Sing and Confess God's Promises**: Singing and confessing God's promises, even when we don't see them, stirs our spirit and strengthens our faith. This act of faith is crucial in maintaining our belief and trust in God, helping us to press on despite our circumstances. [27:04]
4. **Avoid Spiritual Dehydration**: Just as our bodies need water, our souls need the living water that only Jesus can provide. Seeking fulfillment in anything other than God leaves us empty and unsatisfied. We must come to Jesus and drink deeply from His well to be truly fulfilled. [59:09]
5. **Reassess Your Life for True Fulfillment**: Evaluate your life, schedule, and relationships to ensure you are seeking fulfillment in God alone. Busy schedules and worldly pursuits can deplete us spiritually. By prioritizing our relationship with God, we can live in the overflow of His presence, experiencing true peace, joy, and purpose. ### Bible Reading
1. **Psalm 42:1-2 (ESV)**: "As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?"
2. **John 7:37-38 (ESV)**: "On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, 'If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, 'Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.'"
3. **Matthew 7:24-25 (ESV)**: "Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock."

Day 1: Standing Firm in Faith During Storms
When life's storms hit, it's easy to feel abandoned and question God's presence. However, these trials are not indicators of God's absence but opportunities to exercise our faith. The enemy often uses these moments to sow seeds of doubt, making us question God's promises and His presence in our lives. Yet, we are reminded that Jesus is always with us, even in the fiercest storms. Our faith is not about its quantity but about our willingness to trust God despite our circumstances. Jesus' calmness during the storm with His disciples serves as a powerful example for us to emulate. We must choose to stand firm, believing that God is working even when we can't see it. [21:53]
Mark 4:39-40 (ESV): "And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, 'Peace! Be still!' And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. He said to them, 'Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?'"
Reflection: Think of a current storm in your life. How can you actively choose to trust God and stand firm in your faith despite the uncertainty?
Day 2: Build Your Life on the Rock
The parable of the houses built on different foundations teaches us that storms come to everyone, regardless of their faith. However, only those who build their lives on the rock of Christ will stand firm. This foundation in Jesus is what sustains us through life's challenges. When we build our lives on temporary or worldly foundations, we are easily shaken and can crumble under pressure. But when our lives are rooted in Christ, we have a solid foundation that can withstand any storm. This calls for a deliberate and conscious effort to align our lives with Jesus' teachings and to trust Him as our cornerstone. [25:17]
Matthew 7:24-25 (ESV): "Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock."
Reflection: Evaluate the foundation of your life. Are there areas where you have built on sand instead of the rock of Christ? What steps can you take to strengthen your foundation in Jesus today?
Day 3: Sing and Confess God's Promises
Singing and confessing God's promises, even when we don't see them, is a powerful act of faith. This practice stirs our spirit and strengthens our belief, helping us to maintain our trust in God despite our circumstances. When we declare God's promises, we remind ourselves of His faithfulness and His power to fulfill His word. This act of faith is crucial in maintaining our belief and trust in God, especially when we face challenges. It is a way to combat doubt and fear, reinforcing our confidence in God's plan and His timing. [27:04]
Psalm 59:16 (ESV): "But I will sing of your strength; I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning. For you have been to me a fortress and a refuge in the day of my distress."
Reflection: Identify a promise from God's Word that you need to hold onto today. How can you incorporate singing or confessing this promise into your daily routine to strengthen your faith?
Day 4: Avoid Spiritual Dehydration
Just as our bodies need water, our souls need the living water that only Jesus can provide. Seeking fulfillment in anything other than God leaves us empty and unsatisfied. Spiritual dehydration occurs when we neglect our relationship with God and seek satisfaction in temporary, worldly things. This leaves us spiritually dry and vulnerable to the enemy's attacks. We must come to Jesus and drink deeply from His well, allowing the Holy Spirit to fill us and sustain us. This involves prioritizing our spiritual health, spending time in God's presence, and seeking His guidance and strength daily. [59:09]
John 4:13-14 (ESV): "Jesus said to her, 'Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.'"
Reflection: Reflect on your current spiritual state. Are there areas where you feel spiritually dehydrated? What steps can you take to drink deeply from Jesus' living water today?
Day 5: Reassess Your Life for True Fulfillment
Evaluate your life, schedule, and relationships to ensure you are seeking fulfillment in God alone. Busy schedules and worldly pursuits can deplete us spiritually, leaving us feeling empty and unfulfilled. By prioritizing our relationship with God, we can live in the overflow of His presence, experiencing true peace, joy, and purpose. This requires a conscious effort to reassess our priorities and make necessary adjustments to align our lives with God's will. It involves seeking His guidance in our daily decisions and ensuring that our pursuits are in line with His purpose for our lives. [01:20:31]
Psalm 16:11 (ESV): "You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore."
Reflection: Take a moment to evaluate your current schedule and relationships. Are there areas where you need to make adjustments to prioritize your relationship with God? What practical steps can you take to seek true fulfillment in Him alone?
**Transcript:**
Stop and we won't go.
Can't quit, so we let y'all know.
Aye, this love and peace I found,
It never ends and it won't come down.
Aye, I had a great start.
We'll be right back.
It can be difficult singing the words
When you don't see it.
And you can ask,
Or you can say,
"Why do I need to sing it?"
Because I feel like I don't see it.
Come in, I come out,
I don't see it,
And I want to sing it.
I really want to sing it.
And the fact that I'm not singing it
Is making me believe,
Whether or not it's true.
In the middle of it,
You have to be willing
To sing it.
In the middle of it,
You have to keep walking.
You have to keep going.
You have to keep believing.
The enemy's job
Is to get you
In the middle of it,
To where you can't see it,
And then to get you to turn around
And go back.
There is nothing back there.
There is nothing back there.
There is nothing there for you.
Yes, it's difficult in a storm,
But like Adriana said last week,
Remember who's in the boat with you.
Remember who's in the boat with you.
It's not about the storm.
The enemy is using the storm
To make you forget.
The enemy is using the storm
To make you turn around,
To make you cave in,
To make you quit,
To make you give up on what God has done,
To make you forget what God said,
To make you forget what God told you,
To make you think, "This isn't real.
This isn't true."
Because if that was the case,
Then why am I in the situation that I was in?
The disciples were in a storm,
And Jesus was in the boat.
The storm didn't stop.
The storm continued.
If anything, the storm was worse.
Because what if the disciples
Just decided in that moment,
"You know what, just because this storm is so bad
And Jesus is with us,
It must mean Jesus isn't real.
It must mean everything he said isn't real.
This whole thing about Christianity,
This whole thing about Jesus
And him being the son of God,
It's not real.
Because I'm in the storm."
And Jesus wakes up,
Says, "Ye of little faith."
Not in the amount of faith
That they had,
It was in their lack of exercising the faith.
It was in their lack of believing.
If he sleeps,
If he sleeps in the middle of the storm,
Then I might need to take a cue from Jesus.
Instead of worrying,
Instead of being in fear,
Instead of being in doubt,
Instead of being in unbelief,
What if you said, "You know what,
No matter what's happening,
No matter how I'm feeling,
No matter what the storm is,
No matter how big it is,
No matter what's going on,
I choose to believe.
I choose to believe.
I choose to stand firm.
Even though I can't understand what's happening,
I choose to stand firm.
Even though this storm makes no sense,
I choose to stand firm.
Even though I feel like this shouldn't be happening to me,
I still choose to stand firm."
The Bible says there's a man who built his house on a foundation,
And he built his foundation on the sand.
And when the storm came,
And when the rains came,
And when the storm blew,
The house fell flat.
He says that there was another house,
A house that was built upon a rock.
Both houses had a storm.
It didn't matter the foundation.
Both houses had a storm.
Both houses had a storm.
But he said the one that was built on the rock,
The one that was built on firm foundation,
When the storm came,
And the wind blew,
The house stood strong.
I get it.
You came in today,
And life is lifing.
Storms are storming,
And it's hard,
And it's difficult.
And I need you to understand
That this is your opportunity.
This is not where you come in
And complain to God
About all the things that are happening.
He was there.
He knows what's happening.
Here is where you come in
And you begin to what?
Lay it at his feet.
Why do we sing the songs?
Why do we sing the songs?
Why do we repeat the hook?
Why do we repeat the bridge?
Because in singing the song,
We begin confessing
What may not be happening.
And as we begin to confess it,
It begins to stir up the spirit man
On the inside of us.
It begins to stir up our faith
And our belief.
And then when we get out of here,
We can press on another week,
And we can come back,
And we can sing it again
Until we begin seeing
What we're singing.
You thought you came here
And the only way that you could sing it
Was if you saw it.
But that is not the case.
A lot of us here
Are still singing until we see it.
But we made a decision
To stand firm,
Regardless of the situation,
Regardless of what's happening,
Regardless of how we feel,
Regardless of what the doctor said,
Regardless of what my bank account said,
Regardless of what my job said,
Regardless of what my situation is,
I make a decision
To stand firm.
That is why we lift our hands.
That is why we sing.
We're not singing.
You know, there might be some of us
Who's singing 'cause we there,
But the rest of us
Are still trying to get there.
And we will keep singing
Until we see what we're singing.
I'm here,
And I know you are moving
In the storm.
I don't know what's going on.
I don't know what's happening.
I can't see nothing.
But I'm coming here.
I'm here, and I know that you're moving.
I'm here, and I know that you're moving.
I'm here, Lord.
I'm here.
But I'm going to keep going.
Why?
'Cause I know him.
'Cause when I check the score,
So if he's been consistent
All of this time,
Please do not believe
That he's going to wake up today
And decide to not be who he is.
I need you to understand this.
'Cause we come in here
And we pray before you guys get here,
And we pray for you.
And we're here,
And we open these doors every week.
Why?
Because we believe that God wants to do something.
We believe that God has something in store for his people.
We believe that he wants to minister to the hearts of his people.
We believe that he wants to provide answers to his people.
We believe that he wants to provide healing for his people.
This is why we are here.
None of us have achieved perfection.
All of us here are walking through it.
Some of us are at the beginning of the storm.
Some of us are in the middle of the storm.
Some of us have walked out on the way to walk back into another one.
But it doesn't matter.
Yea, though I walk through the shadow of the valley of death,
I will fear no evil.
Why?
For thou art with me.
And then when I do see it,
Oh, you done messed up now.
Because once I see it,
And it's happened,
There's nothing that you can tell me.
There's nothing that you can tell me.
So when another one comes,
I'm gonna keep going.
Because I know that the end is near.
I know that my victory is on the way.
I know that my healing is on the way.
I know that my breakthrough is on the way.
I know that my finances are on the way.
I know that my situation is on the way.
When we sing,
This is the mindset I need you to come in here with:
God, I'm laying it down.
I'm going to praise you.
I'm going to worship you
For what you have done,
For what you are doing,
And for what you will do.
It don't matter where I'm at,
I'm gonna praise you regardless.
'Cause you're worthy.
'Cause you're worthy.
Hallelujah.
Heavenly Father,
We just come to you right now,
And we just thank you, God.
I thank you for your goodness.
I thank you for your faithfulness.
God, I pray over every person
That is here now
And those that are watching online.
God, I pray that you would continue
To just wrap your arms around them.
God, I pray
That even in the midst of their storms,
Even in the midst of their situations,
God, that you would continue to pray,
That you would remind them
Who is in the boat with them:
The creator of heaven and earth,
The creator of the storm,
The skies, the ground, the earth, the air,
Is right there with them.
And you said that you would never leave them
Nor forsake them.
So regardless of what we see, God,
We praise you.
Regardless of what we feel, God,
We praise you.
Regardless of our circumstance,
We praise you.
Even though we may not understand you,
Even though we may not understand, God,
We praise you.
We walk by faith and not by sight.
Because without faith,
It is impossible to please you.
Don't take these moments lightly.
We take these moments to worship
And to honor you.
Because you are worthy to be praised.
It's not about how big our problem is,
But about how big our God is
Every single time.
Honor you.
We praise you.
Acknowledge you for your grace,
For who you are.
In Jesus' name.
Jesus is having a conversation.
He's having his feast with his disciples.
And this feast was different
Because he was about to be crucified.
And he says, "Hey,
This one's a little different.
Because this is the moment where
I become the sacrifice.
I become the sacrifice for sins.
No longer will lambs and doves and goats be sacrificed,
But I am going to be the sacrifice for you,
To be the ultimate sacrifice for sin.
You don't have to go to nobody.
You don't have to do a penance.
You don't have to come to anyone else.
I am going to be the sacrifice."
He says, "But before that,
Present my body and my blood."
He says, "Every time you eat of this bread,
I want you to do so and remember my sacrifice.
Every time you drink of this cup,
I want you to do so and remember my sacrifice.
Remember the blood that was shed
So that you can have a relationship with me.
Remember my body that will be broken
And torn and beaten and bruised for you.
I want you to do this,
And when you do it,
Do it in remembrance of me."
This is holy.
That's why we call it holy communion.
Why?
Holy means set apart,
Separate, set aside.
He says, "When you do this,
Do this in remembrance of me."
1 Corinthians 11 says,
"For I received from the Lord himself
The instruction in which I passed on to you,
That the Lord Jesus on the night in which he was betrayed
Took the bread,
When he had given thanks,
He broke it,
And he said, 'This represents my body,
Which is offered as a sacrifice for you,
Offered as a sacrifice for you.'
It says, 'As often as you eat of it,
Do this in affectionate remembrance of me.'"
Take your bread.
We do this in remembrance of you, Lord.
You may eat.
Then he took the cup,
Saying, "This cup
Is the new covenant,
Ratified and established
In my blood.
Do this as often as you drink it.
Do it in affectionate remembrance of me.
For every time you eat this bread
And drink this cup,
You are symbolically proclaiming
The fact of the Lord's death
Until he comes."
You may drink.
Heavenly Father, we honor you today.
And as we have symbolically
Eaten of this bread
And drunk of this cup,
We have done so
In remembrance of you.
We've done so
Remembering your sacrifice
On the cross for our sins,
Remembering the grace
That was poured out on us,
Remembering your love for us,
Remembering that not only did you die,
But on the third day you rose.
And every time we eat of this bread,
We drink of this cup,
We proclaim Jesus.
Today we pray,
We proclaim Jesus.
We love you.
We honor you.
Thank you for allowing us to partake.
Thank you for allowing us to partake in this,
In honor,
In representation
Of your blood and your body.
Thank you for dying for our sins.
In Jesus' name, amen.
Amen.
The buckets are going to be passed at this time.
Feel free to drop your cups in that.
As they do so, would you go ahead
And just high five somebody next to you?
Say good morning.
Say I love you.
Say your hair looks longer than last week.
Your makeup looks much healthier than last week.
Say your outfit looks wonderful.
Say I love that color on you.
Come on, show them some love.
Greet somebody.
Greet somebody.
Greet somebody.
Come on, Josh.
Well, good morning, church.
Good morning, good morning.
Good morning.
I'm excited to be with you guys today.
If this is your very first time here
Or you're watching online,
My name is Pastor Kenan.
I'm the senior pastor here at Limitless Church,
Along with my wife, Miss Sonia,
Who's serving us in kids ministry today.
If this is your very first time here,
I probably should have done that earlier,
But, uh, hey, how you doing?
Welcome.
Welcome.
We're excited that you're here.
We don't think it's an accident that you're here.
We believe that God has something specifically
In store for you.
And you thought you just came to church this morning, didn't you?
You thought, "You know what?
I'm just gonna come to church this morning."
No, you were set up.
God has been adjusting your schedule,
He's been adjusting your heart,
He's been adjusting your conversations
So that you could be here today.
And there is something that God wants to do.
And at Limitless, we're just excited to be a part of the process.
Limitless, can we make some noise for our visitors this morning?
Hey!
Do a favor.
If this is your first time,
We have a QR code on a seat pocket in front of you.
There's a visitor card on that QR code here.
I would love for you to fill it out.
After service, I'm going to be outside at our connection table.
I just want to say hi.
I would love to hear about your experience
And hear how you found out about our church
And just show you some Limitless love for you.
We're excited that you're here.
If this is your first time or second time,
And we pray that you will make this place home.
You say, "Oh, it feels like home."
There's a reason why.
Alright, this is Josh.
Josh is one of our local missionaries here.
DCF or Chi Alpha is an organization that our church has supported since we started.
I've had the pleasure and the privilege to serve with them.
The waffle, what is it?
Waffle day or pancake days?
They've done the summer.
I guess I could ask you, you're standing right here.
Sorry about that.
I'm just used to it.
She's like, "I don't work there anymore."
Alright, we did the pancake days.
We did summer camps.
You guys do ministry every week
To hundreds of college students from all over the world.
Could you take a few minutes and just tell us,
Tell us about what this ministry is,
Why it's important?
And then after that, I'm going to ask you to share a story.
Yes, that is amazing.
Yeah, we can make some noise for that.
Now, I know in what you do,
What you are is a full-time ministry,
A missionary.
And what that means is at any point in time,
You need to be available.
It would be awkward if a kid called you and was like,
"Hey, I'm having a mental breakdown."
You know what I'm saying?
Like, "Hey, I'm at work, I'll call you later."
Like, that probably would not go over well.
Or they're like having something at midnight,
And you're like, "Hey, I gotta sleep.
I mean, I'll pray for you, but I gotta go to sleep,
And I got work in the morning."
And I got work in the morning.
So as a full-time missionary,
It is a desire for you to be available
And be, you're scheduled to be free
To be there for those kids.
In that, I know that you guys do discipleship,
And you guys have these Bible studies,
And you have these small groups.
Could you tell us a story?
Just a quick story about one of the guys in your small group.
It's nice graffiti work, man.
Just checking, just checking.
We are really big believers in supporting our mission,
Not just across the world,
But here locally.
Because they make an impact
On the places that we drive past
And the kids that we see every single day.
And so we know that right now
You're support raising
So that you can continue to serve these kids.
And so if people want to talk to you about support raising,
Or they just say, "Hey, I don't need a long speech.
Show me when I just need to cut the check."
Do that.
If you've ever seen,
There will be like a row or two
Of just young adults that are here.
That's them.
And that's awesome.
Because a lot of times,
There are some times where they don't get connected to a church
Or they feel like the church they're at
Or the things that they've tried don't work.
But to be able to take the drive
From Davis to Woodland
To be here with us is a big deal.
So yes, if you see them,
Please make sure you show them some love.
Also, after service,
For those who are doing the QR code,
But those after service,
You're going to be outside with me at the connection table.
Yeah, right out there.
And they can sign up and register to talk to you
And have further conversations.
I'm telling you, the work that they do is amazing.
And I've been privileged for the past three years
To support them.
But we want to make sure that Josh is full-time
And make sure Josh has everything he needs
To minister and to support these college kids.
Amen.
Let's make some noise for Josh.
Alright, are we ready to dive into this word?
Alright, so we are in a series.
Can you pass me that Red Bull?
We are in a series called Emptied Overflow.
Okay, so the reason we are going to do this
Is because we are talking about this idea
Of not being on E.
We started this last week,
And if you have not,
If you were not here last week,
I encourage you to please,
Please, please, please,
Go to YouTube,
Go to wherever you listen to podcasts at,
Go to Facebook,
And listen to part one of this series.
I would, you know, I usually don't do this,
I would prefer you to go to YouTube so you can watch it
On the stage.
That I think really speaks to where some of us are
And speaking to how we can make sure that we don't stay in that place.
Alright, so as we dive into that,
Today's, I would say, subtitle for this message
Is very simple.
It's called, "You are not you when you are thirsty."
Okay?
You are not you when you are thirsty.
In 2010, a Super Bowl ad came out,
And it was a Snickers ad.
And I remember watching it.
It was amazing.
I like watching commercials
Because I am that guy.
I find them very funny.
I like the creativity about it.
But this commercial,
A gentleman, a group of guys,
Are playing football.
And as they are playing outside
In this park area,
One of the players turns into Betty White.
So Betty White is out there.
Betty White gets smacked on the field.
She is laying down on the ground.
She gets up.
She starts complaining
About getting hit and not having any coverage
And all of this.
And then he walks over to his girlfriend
And begins complaining.
And the girlfriend says,
"Here, have a Snickers."
And he eats the Snickers,
And he turns from Betty White
Into her boyfriend.
And he goes back,
Plays, has an incredible game,
And the commercial comes up,
And it ends and says,
"You are not you when you are hungry.
Have a Snickers.
Snickers satisfies."
Right?
That's what we are talking about today.
If you have ever been hangry,
Yeah, I didn't even finish the sentence.
Yeah, if you have ever been hangry,
Then you know how a lack of food
Can completely change who you are.
Some of you,
Oh, yeah, a relationship is not tested more,
A friendship is not tested more,
Family is not tested more
Than when one person hasn't eaten.
You turn into a whole different person.
A medical study found that the phenomenon
Known as hangry is a thing
Where the lack of food causes low blood sugar.
The low blood sugar causes a hormonal imbalance
That affects your mental state,
Causing you to feel anger,
Frustration, and causing you to be aggressive.
Somebody say Amen.
Amen.
The ladies are like, "I told you it was a real thing.
Feed me."
So once I found this out, knowing this,
I found out if dehydration has the same effect
Or being thirsty.
And what I found out is that because of the necessity
Of water to our life,
Even mild dehydration can impair cognitive functions.
It can affect your attention,
Your memory,
And your mood.
It leads to increased feelings of fatigue
And anxiety and confusion
And affects your overall mental performance.
This is why when we are thirsty,
The thing that can satisfy our thirst
Is water.
Because water contains the vital nutrients we need
To survive,
Especially when we are depleted.
When I worked in Elk Grove,
I was serving as a youth pastor
At the church before we planted Limitless.
And I got up one morning,
I'm headed to work,
And as I'm driving out of my driveway onto Main Street,
Things started moving,
And I wasn't moving them.
The lines were like doing this.
They were a little bit blurry,
And I didn't understand what's going on.
Now, I have never been dizzy before in my life
Because I stay away from things that could cause me to be dizzy.
So I had never been dizzy before in my life,
So I had no idea what was going on.
All I knew is stuff is moving.
Now, I am a person that like,
"I'm just going to get there."
I probably shouldn't have done that in this situation,
But it's neither here nor there.
As I get on the highway,
These things continue to happen,
And I make the decision
To drive to Elk Grove like this.
And so the lines are moving,
And I'm trying to focus
On something that's not moving
So that I could make it to work.
Very dangerous, never do this.
Okay?
And I have the, in my car at the time,
Had the main assist,
So I would just hold the steering wheel
And just make sure that the beeps never happened
So that I could make it to work.
Extremely dangerous again, please do not do this.
So I get to work,
And by the grace of God, I make it to work.
And then when I get out of the car,
I notice I'm like having trouble walking.
And now I'm concerned
Because the eye thing wasn't enough,
But now I'm concerned.
And I get into my chair.
My pastor at the time,
He notices that something is wrong,
And I'm like, "Are you alright?"
And I'm like, "I don't think so.
I'm not sure what's happening,
But something's happening."
And he's like, "Yo, you should probably go to the hospital."
And then they walked out.
And so I said, "Okay, guess I'm getting back in the car."
Drive down about two miles
To where my doctor was.
I get there,
I tell them what's going on.
They start taking the test and doing stuff.
They shoot me,
They get an IV in me,
And they said, "You suffered from extreme dehydration."
And he very sternly requested that I never do that again.
He said, "Because of your dehydration,
You could have continued to keep going,
And at some point, your motor skills would have been impaired,
And then you would have not only affected yourself,
But you could have caused harm
To everyone that was around you
When you were driving
And hurt other people as you were on the highway.
And it could have been way, way worse.
And you had no idea.
Could have been way worse.
Not only affecting you,
But affecting everyone else around you."
The thing is that our life as believers
Is no different.
And the lack of spiritual water is a problem.
When we're spiritually thirsty,
When we're spiritually thirsty,
Just like being hangry,
It affects us.
There's a difference in how we think.
There's a difference in how we talk.
There's a difference in what we believe.
You're not you when you're thirsty.
Psalm chapter 42, verse 1 says,
"As a deer pants for flowing streams."
David is here talking,
And he's talking to the Lord,
And he's having a moment,
And he's got all kinds of things going on.
And he says, "As a deer pants for flowing streams,
So my soul pants for you,
Oh God.
My soul thirsts for God,
For the living God.
When shall I come and appear before God?
When shall I come and appear before God?"
Somebody say, "The thirst is real."
Say, "The thirst is real."
David is here, he's talking,
He's recognizing,
And he is declaring
His thirst for God.
He's talking about his need
For God's presence to fill him.
He's talking about the nourishment
That only comes from God.
He understands that because of everything that's happening to him,
He is at a place where he is vulnerable,
Where he is spiritually empty,
And the only thing that can satisfy him
Is the presence of God
And the filling of God.
This has to be us.
This has to be our posture.
In those moments,
We are to recognize what is happening,
And we have to make it a habit
To turn to God,
To run to God,
And to not be tempted
To try to fill our emptiness
With the world's temporal things.
Junk cannot satisfy your soul.
Only the Lord can.
A relationship will never satisfy your soul.
Only the Lord can.
Material things will never satisfy your soul.
Only the Lord can.
Achievements will never satisfy your soul.
Only the Lord can.
When we seek to be filled,
When we seek to get satisfaction
Apart from God,
The only thing that we will be left with
Is a temporary empty counterfeit.
The only thing that we will be left with
Is a temporary empty counterfeit.
You can chase money if you want to.
You can chase success.
You can chase fame
And chase notoriety.
I would challenge you to look at those
Who have come before you
And see how they doing.
How many more overdoses
Do we have to learn about on the news
For somebody trying to chase peace?
For someone trying to chase happiness?
How many suicides do we need to hear about
For someone trying to chase approval?
For, yeah, when we look to be filled and satisfied
In anything other than God,
In anything other than his presence,
We will be left with an empty counterfeit.
Jeremiah 2:13 says,
"For my people have committed two evils.
They have forsaken me,
The fountain of living water,
And they have hewed out cisterns for themselves,
Broken cisterns that can hold no water."
He said they stopped coming to me.
He said, "As the source for what they need,
And they decided to build another source,
And they decided to build another source
With holes in it that can hold no water."
"My people have committed these two evils."
Don't fall for the thirst trap.
Don't fall for the thirst trap.
The enemy is setting a trap.
He's setting a trap,
And he is depending on you
To be at a place of thirsty,
To be at a place of not overflowing,
To be at a place of not overflowing
So that you can fall for the trap.
You're not you when you're thirsty.
When we're spiritually dehydrated,
It could lead us to make choices
That we otherwise wouldn't.
It could lead us to do things
That we normally wouldn't
And say things
That don't line up with who we are
Or what we believe.
This is why it is important
To stay in the overflow.
Not just to stay in the overflow,
But also daily,
We need to assess where we are.
Because of the push and pull of life,
Because of the storms we might encounter,
Because of the things that are happening,
Every day we need to assess where we are.
Every day we need to assess where we are.
Because of the things that are happening.
And so I, as a husband,
Have had to come back and be like,
"Baby, I'm sorry.
I was just hungry."
You know, I'm not going to hold you.
I haven't eaten today,
And I probably should have done that.
Or even Adriana was telling me
At her job there was this employee
Who when they were going to meetings,
The employee would say,
"Hey everybody, drink their water.
You're not you.
You're thirsty.
Everybody drink their water."
And I don't know if they were saying that to her
Because sometimes she's a little aggressive,
But they were like, "Hey, did you drink your water?"
And she got offended, like,
"Yeah, but did you drink it though?"
It can lead us to make choices,
Do things, say things.
And this is why we have to assess where we are.
Just like I talked about my Crown Vic last week,
Being on E has consequences.
It can be harmful to you,
To others around you,
And be harmful to your destiny.
Exodus chapter 17,
And we can start at verse 1.
"And all of the congregation of the people of Israel
Moved from the wilderness of Sin by stages
According to the commandment of the Lord
And camped at Rephidim.
But there was no water for the people to drink.
Therefore the people quarreled with Moses
And said, 'Give us water to drink.'
And Moses said for them,
'Why do you quarrel with me?
Why do you test the Lord?'
But the people thirsted there for water,
And the people grumbled against Moses and said,
'Why did you bring us up out of Egypt
To kill us and our children
And our livestock with thirst?'"
So I'm glad I wasn't Moses.
Because this conversation would have went
A little bit differently.
Because the first thing that came out of my mouth,
I would have said, "First of all, I didn't bring you out of Israel.
Okay? Let's just make this very clear.
I would say, actually, the Lord wanted to kill you,
But hey, here we are."
Alright?
And I would have said, "Oh, you must have forgot.
This lack of water is doing something to your memory.
Because I, we were together.
We definitely just walked across dry land
In the middle of a lake as the water parted.
I remember that happening, guys.
I remember us walking across,
And as soon as we walked across,
The water went back.
Everybody behind us drowned.
I remember that.
Maybe you guys forgot.
Maybe you forgot about the cloud of smoke
That follows us in the daytime
And the pillar of fire
That's following with us at night.
Did we forget that?
Oh, how about the manna?
Everybody eat this morning, huh?
Magical bread that fell from the sky.
Did we forget about that?
Oh, and the fish, everybody?
Yeah, everybody got the fish.
Oh yeah, you guys look full and healthy.
Maybe you forgot about that."
But this is what I'm saying.
When you don't have the things,
When you are not spiritually nourished,
When you are thirsty,
When you think of the presence of God,
The filling of God,
It makes you start talking crazy.
It makes you start thinking crazy.
It makes you start believing crazy
And speaking crazy.
Speaking things that do not line up
With the will of God for your life.
Believing things that are obviously not the truth,
All because you're not you when you're thirsty.
This is the thirst trap.
This is the trap.
Do not fall for the thirst trap.
Because what the enemy is doing is the enemy is like,
"I got you.
You're thirsty, I got you.
Let me present this to you."
Because if you're thirsty, your guard is down.
If you're thirsty,
You're not paying attention.
You're not aware of the tricks of the enemy.
You're not aware.
So he's like, "If I could just talk to you
And get you to listen,
Then I got you.
If I can get you to believe
He's not hearing you,
He don't got time to deal with your problems.
What you did,
You don't deserve that.
Why would he give that to you?
He's not real.
You keep doing this and you haven't seen the results."
And you're listening to the first problem,
Just like Eve.
You're listening to it and considering it.
Why?
Because you're not in overflow.
Because you're tired.
You're depleted.
And that's when he comes in,
Ready to prowl.
Aware of and fight the thirst.
What do we do when spiritual dehydration comes?
Let's turn to John.
John chapter 7, verse 37.
Alright, verse 37 says,
"On the last day of the feast,
The most important day of the feast,
Jesus stood and called out in a loud voice,
'If anyone is thirsty,
Let him come to me and drink.
Let him come to me and drink.
He who believes in me,
Who adheres to,
Who trusts in and relies on me,
As the scripture has said,
From his innermost being
Will flow continually rivers of living water.'"
Come to me and drink.
He was speaking of the Holy Spirit,
Whom those who believed in him as Savior
Were to receive afterward.
Not yet been given because Jesus was not yet glorified.
He gave two instructions:
Come to me and drink.
And he said this,
He said this is made possible.
You will have rivers of living water
Flowing out of you.
He says that there is a possibility,
There is a way
That you will never have to be thirsty again,
Never have to be empty again.
And he says that this is made possible
By the Spirit,
By his Holy Spirit.
At the end, he says he was talking to him,
But the Spirit had not yet come
Because Jesus had not been crucified.
He hadn't been elevated yet.
But he said the Spirit,
This is available to all of those
Who believe in him as Savior.
Come to me and drink.
Come to me is a direct invitation from Jesus
To all who are thirsty,
Those who are spiritually depleted,
To come to him,
To draw near to him,
To turn to Jesus.
Come to me.
Acknowledge where you are.
Stop trying to get filled up
On these things that will never fill you.
Stop running to things
That will never satisfy you.
Come to me.
Second instruction was drink.
This is an action word
That implies taking and receiving
What God has
And getting inside of you
What he has made available for you.
Peace is available to you.
Joy is available to you.
Rest is available to you.
Strength is available to you.
Fulfillment is available to you.
But it is only available for you
When you come to him and drink.
If you come to him,
If you try to find peace in drugs and alcohol,
It will not give you anything.
If you try to find fulfillment
In other people
And in your successes
And in your achievements
And in the things that you are chasing,
It will not give you what you are looking for.
It will be a temporary fulfillment
That will actually take more from you
Than when it came.
So if you find yourself thirsty as a believer,
Then the question that you need to ask
Is where are you drinking?
Where are you drinking?
Far too often we drink things
That offer no quenching for our thirst.
Far too often we drink things
That offer no quenching for our thirst.
We drink from the cup of busy.
We are just busy every day,
Looking to get fulfilled
Because our schedule is filled,
Only leaving unfulfilled.
From the cup of worldly success,
From the cup of worldly success,
Chasing a check and a pension,
Chasing a position,
Chasing this level of notoriety,
Only to be left empty again.
Only we drink from the cup of external validation.
We drink from the cup of external validation,
Always looking for someone else
To tell us
That we're worth it,
That we're good enough,
That we did a good job,
That we're doing okay.
We're depressed,
We're wondering about our value,
We're wondering about our purpose.
We drink from these cups,
And there is nothing to be offered from them
Except death
And unmet expectations.
It leaves us more depleted,
More drained,
More empty.
When we come to drink from him,
When we drink from him,
The Holy Spirit fills us
And gives us life,
More than any life,
But an ever-satisfying life
Where he quenches our thirst continually,
Leading us to live in the overflow
Rather than being in lack.
John chapter 4, verse 7,
We read this scripture a few weeks back.
The woman at the well,
The Samaritan woman,
Came from Samaria to draw water.
Jesus said, "Give me a drink."
His disciples had gone away into the city
To buy food.
The Samaritan woman said,
"How is it that you, a Jew,
Asked for a drink from me,
A woman of Samaria?
For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans."
Jesus answered her,
"If you knew the gift of God,
And who it is that is saying to you,
'Give me a drink,'
You would have asked him,
And he would have given you living water."
The woman said to her,
"This went right over her head."
The woman said to him,
"Sir, you have nothing to draw water with,
And the well is deep.
Where do you get that living water?
Are you greater than our father Jacob?
He gave us the well and drank from it himself,
As did his sons and his livestock."
Jesus should have said to her,
"I created Jacob."
He didn't say that.
"I made him."
Jesus said to her,
"Everyone who drinks of this water
Will be thirsty again,
But whoever drinks of the water
That I will give him
Will never be thirsty again.
The water that I will give him
Will become in him
A spring of water
Welling up to eternal life."
The woman said,
"Give me this water,
And I will come here to draw water."
Listen, the truth is,
You are not you when you are thirsty.
But the greater truth is,
When we come to him,
When we abide in him,
When we are fulfilled in him,
We have access to a never-ending spring
Of life-giving water.
And all we have to do
Is drink.
All we have to do is drink.
Now, what does this look like practically?
Adriana, you can come.
Now, what does this look like practically?
That looks like evaluating my life
And assessing what things
Am I looking to for fulfillment?
What things am I looking to for fulfillment?
Am I looking to be fulfilled in a relationship?
Am I looking to be fulfilled by my bank account?
Am I looking to be fulfilled by how I look physically?
Am I looking to be fulfilled by how I dress?
Am I looking to be fulfilled by the opinions of others?
The first thing we need to do
Is evaluate our life
And look at what things
Am I looking to fill me.
Second, I need to look at my schedule
And check the spiritual pulse of what I'm doing.
Very simply,
If you and God had a meeting,
And he looked at your schedule,
Would he be happy?
Would it look like
That you are putting him first?
Would it look like
That you're honoring him?
Would it look like
That you want to have a relationship with him?
Because busy is probably one of the most depleting things,
And it is the main thing that the enemy uses.
"Oh, I just feel,
I didn't worry about you.
I don't got to bring that in your way.
I'll just fill your schedule up,
And you can run around like a chicken
With your head cut off empty.
And every night laying your head on a pillow,
Exhausted,
Physically and spiritually exhausted."
So it looks like me assessing my schedule
And checking the spiritual pulse of what I'm doing.
And it looks like looking at the things that I value
And asking,
"Do these things line up with what God values
As a high priority in my life?"
And asking,
"Are these the same things that God values?"
It looks like looking at the relationships that I am in
And that I am a part of
And seeking God's guidance
On whether these relationships
Are life-giving relationships
Or are they life-taking relationships?
You get around people,
And you wonder why you leave from those people
And you feel so empty.
Why do I feel so drained?
Why do I feel tired?
Why am I now irritated and upset and angry?
Yeah, you might check it out.
Are these life-giving relationships
Or are they life-taking relationships?
You need to assess it,
And you need the Holy Spirit to guide you
To tell you which is which.
Because you can't trust yourself.
The Bible says the heart is wicked,
And you want to please everybody,
And you don't want nobody to be mad at you,
And you don't want nobody to feel some type of way
Because you didn't show up,
Because you didn't come,
Because you weren't there every time you picked up the phone.
So now you are spiritually depleted.
Alright, let me keep going.
When we do these things,
This is the part where we turn,
And we come to him.
We give him our schedule.
We give him our relationships.
We give him our values.
Come to him.
And then he said, "Drink."
Don't show up.
Drink.
Don't drink.
Come to him.
Drink.
Drink.
Drink.
Drink.
Drink.
Drink.
That means you got to read it.
That means you got to know what he's saying.
And not only knowing it,
Do not be just hearers of the word,
But be doers as well.
Coming in here every Sunday ain't enough.
I like it.
I want you here.
Please come.
But it's not enough.
It's not enough.
You have to know what his word says,
And you have to believe it.
This word believes means to adhere to,
It means to trust,
It means to rely on.
Do you believe it?
Do you trust it?
Do you rely on it?
Is this the foundation for your life?
The thirst that we experience in life
Is not just physical;
It is deeply spiritual.
Just as our bodies cry out for water,
Our soul longs for the living water
That only Christ can provide.
When we find ourselves spiritually thirsty,
We must remember the invitation from Jesus
Is always open:
"Come to me and drink."
This isn't a suggestion;
This is a lifeline for our weary souls.
Are you feeling drained?
Are you allowing the distraction of this world
To pull you away from the true source of satisfaction?
Are you caught up in the cares and the worries of this world?
It's time to come back to the well that never runs dry.
It's time to come back to him and drink from him.
Today, we need to commit to reassess
Where we're drawing our fulfillment from.
Are we indulging in things that leave us empty?
Are we actively seeking the fullness of God?
Remember, you're not you when you're thirsty.
You become a shadow of who you truly are meant to be.
But when we choose to abide in him,
When we choose to drink deeply from the fountain of life,
Our true selves emerge,
Full of peace,
Full of joy,
Full of purpose.
Today, we need to leave here
Not just aware of our thirst,
But actively seeking the one
Who can satisfy it.
Come to him, drink deeply,
And let the rivers of living water flow through you,
Transforming you from the inside out.
Heavenly Father, I thank you for your word.
Thank you for speaking today here to your people.
We have heard you, God.
God, this week, pray that you would allow
This word to remain and produce harvest in our life,
That we would begin to reassess our schedule,
Reassess our relationships,
Reassess our values, God,
That we would look to draw in
And pour into,
Be poured into by you,
That we would spend time in our word,
That we would spend time in worship,
That we would spend time in community,
That we would spend time with you,
A well that never runs dry.
That we would move from empty
To living a life of the overflow.
We honor you in Jesus' name, amen.
Amen.
We're gonna have our offering team come forward at this time
As we transition to a time of giving.
Again, I'm just grateful to the Lord for his sacrifice.
I'm grateful to the Lord for him sending Jesus
So that I can be filled.
If you live or work in a secular organization,
Or pay any attention to those outside of the body,
You can look in the eyes of this world
And you can see that they are drained,
That they are dry,
That they are empty,
And that they are looking for some sense of filling.
And as believers,
Because of the sacrifice of Jesus,
We have access to the water.
And that is why I'm grateful.
And out of that,
That gratitude is why I give.
It's why I tithe.
It's why I give offering.
It's why I give to missions.
It's because I am grateful.
Thank you, Jesus.
And I gotta respond to that gratefulness.
I'm not just gonna talk about it.
I'm gonna be about it.
God, thank you for giving me a job.
God, thank you for sending your son.
Thank you for the peace that I have.
Thank you for the joy that I have.
Thank you for the rest that I have.
Thank you, Jesus.
And out of that gratitude is why I give.
Today, we have three opportunities for you to give.
If you're watching online,
You can text the word "give" to 833-879-0161.
Type "give" in the comments,
And someone will send you the link as well.
You can go to limitlesswilling.com.
If you're here with us,
You can go to the QR code on the screen
Or the offering buckets that are passing by.
But I pray today that your heart would be this:
God, I'm giving out of gratitude.
I don't want you to give
Because it's giving time
Or somebody said to give
Or because you feel like that's what you have to do.
I want you to give out of a heart
That says, "Thank you, Jesus.
God, I just want to say thank you
Because you've been good to me.
I want to say thank you for the job.
I want to say thank you for protecting me.
I want to say thank you for waking me up.
I want to say thank you for my family.
I want to say thank you.
So I give.
I sow this seed into good ground
That it will produce a great harvest
For your kingdom.
God, I thank you for this opportunity to give.
I pray that you would speak to the hearts of your people today, God.
What would you have us to give, Lord?
Speak to us.
That we would hear you and be obedient.
That we would do so out of a cheerful heart.
Thank you for the job.
Thank you for the source.
Thank you for the opportunity to sow.
We believe our finances are a seed.
We sow our seed on good ground
And we command it to go.
And we command it to grow.
And grow.
And multiply.
Thank you for those who gave out of their generosity.
Thank you for those who are giving out of the little that they have.
And those who don't have but have a heart to give.
God, thank you.
Would you bless them as your word says,
Pressed down, shaken together,
And running over.
We honor you.
In Jesus' name, amen.
God bless you. Thank you for giving.
As the buckets pass, would you stand with me?
Adriana's going to lead us in worship,
And I'll be right back.
I'm going to have our offering, excuse me, our altar team come forward at this time.
If you're here today and you have not made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life,
Then the only way that you can get filled
Is if you come to the source of the filling.
The Bible talks about being connected to the vine.
He says, "I am the vine, and you are the branches.
Those who abide in me,
That they will produce fruit."
It says, "Come to me, all you who are burdened,
All of you who are heavy.
It says, 'I will give you rest.'"
If you're here today and you have not made him Lord,
And today is your opportunity.
He says that if you believe in your heart,
Jesus Christ, that he raised from the dead,
That he was the son of God.
And you confess,
And you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus,
You shall be saved.
Maybe you've made him a case of emergency.
Maybe you've made him Christmas, Easter, Mother's Day.
Maybe you've made him someone that's cool.
But he says, "If you make me Lord, then you shall be saved."
This word Lord means ruler.
It means the one who reigns, the final authority.
So if you've never made him Lord,
Then I would love to pray with you today.
It starts with belief,
And we would love to walk you through confession.
So if that's you today,
We would love the opportunity to welcome you into the kingdom of God
And pray with you, introduce you to your new family.
Or maybe you're here today and you say,
"Hey, you know what?
I've made the decision,
But I haven't been walking the life.
I haven't been living the life that lines up with the word.
I have been running to everything else
To be filled except for him.
I've been looking for validation
And seeking fulfillment in these cisterns that are broken,
That are empty, and that can hold nothing.
And I want to recommit my life to Jesus.
I want to repent.
I want to turn away from where I was and turn to Jesus."
If that's you today, we would love that.
We would love to pray for you.
And the great thing about this is God is right there,
Ready with open arms to receive you
And continue walking with you.
He says, "I haven't went anywhere.
I said that I will never leave.
I'll never leave you.
I will never forsake you.
Just waiting on you to come back."
So if that's you today, we would like to pray for you.
And lastly, if you need somebody to agree with you in prayer,
Maybe you're walking through something,
Maybe you're believing in something,
Maybe you're walking through something,
Maybe you're believing in God for something.
We love praying and seeing God be God in people's lives.
Maybe you're facing something this upcoming week.
Maybe you're facing something in your life,
And you need God.
Let's pray.
Let's pray and let's see what God does.
I've offered to you these three things.
Our prayer team is to my left and to your right on the black wall here.
We would love to pray with you.
Do not leave here without getting what God had for you.
Whatever is next, it's going to be there.
This moment here could change your life forever.
You decide.
Today is the day of salvation.
Not tomorrow, not next week,
Because those days aren't promised.
Today is the day of salvation.
Choose ye this day who you will serve.
Father, I thank you for everyone.
I thank you for everyone.
I thank you for everyone.
I thank you for everyone.
I thank you for everyone here and those that are watching online.
I pray that this word would be at them all week long, God.
I pray that there will be opportunities to choose you,
That there'll be opportunities to get poured into.
God, I pray for visible victories in the lives of the people in this church.
Visible victories.
God, I pray for opportunities to declare your goodness
And to witness your goodness.
That they wouldn't just see the big things,
But they would even begin noticing your small hand in their life.
Thank you for it.
We honor you.
We praise you.
We worship you.
In Jesus' name, amen.
Ladies, please sign up for our women's event.
Can't wait to see you.
I see you there.
I see you next week.
I love you.
And don't forget, live limitless.
1. "In the middle of it You have to keep walking You have to keep going You have to keep believing the enemy's job Is to get you In the middle of it To where you can't see it And then to get you to turn around And go back There is nothing back there There is nothing back there There is nothing there for you Yes, it's difficult in a storm But like Adriana said last week Remember who's in the boat with you Remember who's in the boat with you It's not about the storm enemy is using the storm To make you forget" [21:53] (54 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)
2. "No matter what's happening No matter how I'm feeling No matter what the storm is No matter how I'm feeling No matter how big it is No matter what's going on I choose to believe I choose to believe I choose to stand firm Even though I can't understand what's happening I choose to stand firm Even though this storm makes no sense I choose to stand firm Even though I feel like this shouldn't be happening to me I still choose to stand firm" [24:34] (37 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)
3. "You came in today And life is lifing Storms are storming And it's hard And it's difficult And I need you to understand That this is your opportunity This is not where you come in And complain to God About all the things that are happening He was there He knows what's happening Here is where you come in And you begin to what? Lay it at his feet Why do we sing the songs? Why do we sing the songs? Why do we repeat the hook? Why do we repeat the bridge?" [26:03] (43 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)
4. "You thought you came here And the only way that you could sing it Was if you saw it But that is not the case A lot of us here Is still singing Until we see it But we made a decision To stand firm Regardless of the situation Regardless of what's happening Regardless of how we feel Regardless of what the doctor said Regardless of what my bank account said Regardless of what my job said Regardless of what my situation is I make a decision To stand firm That is why we lift our hands That is why we sing" [27:04] (40 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)
5. "We believe that God wants to do something We believe that God has something in store for his people We believe that he wants to minister to the hearts of his people We believe that he wants to provide answers to his people We believe that he wants to provide healing for his people is why we are here None of us have achieved perfection All of us here are walking through it Some of us are at the beginning of the storm Some of us are in the middle of the storm Some of us have walked out on the way to walk back into another one But it doesn't matter" [29:43] (42 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)
6. "When we seek to be filled When we seek to get satisfaction Apart from God The only thing that we will be left with Is a temporary empty counterfeit The only thing that we will be left with Is a temporary empty counterfeit Is a temporary empty counterfeit You can chase money if you want to You can chase success You can chase fame And chase notoriety I would challenge you to look at those Who have come before you And see how they doing How many more overdoses Do we have to learn about on the news For somebody trying to chase peace" [01:02:26] (42 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)
7. "When you don't have the things When you are not spiritually nourished When you are thirsty When you think of the presence of God The feeling of God It makes you start talking crazy It makes you start thinking crazy It makes you start believing crazy And speaking crazy Speaking things that do not line up With the will of God for your life Believing things that are obviously not the truth All because You're not you when you're thirsty This is the thirst trap This is the trap Do not fall for the thirst trap" [01:08:57] (35 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)
8. "Come to me Is a direct invitation from Jesus To all who are thirsty Those who are spiritually depleted To come to him To draw near to him To turn to Jesus Come to me Acknowledge where you are Stop trying to get filled up On these things That will never fill you Stop running to things That will never satisfy you Come to me Second instruction was drink This is an action word That implies taking and receiving What God has And getting inside of you What he has made available for you" [01:13:08] (44 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)
9. "The thirst that we experience in life is not just physical it is deeply spiritual just as our bodies cry out for water our soul longs for the living water that only christ can provide when we find ourselves spiritually thirsty we must remember the invitation from jesus is always open come to me and drink this isn't a suggestion this is a lifeline for our weary souls are you feeling drained are you allowing the distraction of this world to to pull you away from the true source of satisfaction? Are you caught up in the cares and the worries of this world?" [01:25:26] (61 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)
10. "If you live, or work in a secular organization, or pay any attention to those outside of the body, you can look in the eyes of this world and you can see that they are drained, that they are dry, that they are empty, and that they are looking for some sense of filling. And as believers, because of the sacrifice of Jesus, we have access to the water. And that is why I'm grateful. And out of that, that gratitude is why I give. It's why I tithe. It's why I give offering. It's why I give to missions. It's because I am grateful." [01:29:33] (47 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)
