### Summary
Today, we explored the profound importance of moving from a state of spiritual emptiness to a life of overflow. We began by acknowledging the struggles and distractions that often weigh us down, making it difficult to see the light and feel God's presence. However, we were reminded that God's love and peace are ever-present and unending. This realization should stir a deep sense of gratitude within us, prompting us to cast aside our worries and focus on His goodness and faithfulness.
We discussed the significance of prioritizing our relationship with God, making Him the supreme authority in our lives. This isn't just about attending church on Sundays but involves a daily commitment to prayer, worship, and immersing ourselves in His Word. When we do this, we move from merely being filled to living in a state of overflow, where God's grace and blessings spill over into every aspect of our lives and into the lives of those around us.
The analogy of a car running on empty was used to illustrate how neglecting our spiritual well-being can lead to burnout and inefficiency. Just as a car needs fuel to run smoothly, we need to be constantly filled with God's Spirit to operate effectively in our daily lives. This overflow is not just for our benefit but is meant to bless others, demonstrating God's love and power to a world that is often running on empty.
We were also reminded of the importance of community and the role it plays in our spiritual growth. Being part of a church family allows us to encourage and support one another, helping each other to stay focused on God and His promises. This collective overflow can have a transformative impact, not just on our church but on our city and beyond.
In conclusion, living a life of overflow is not optional for us as believers. It is a mandate that requires us to put God first in every area of our lives. By doing so, we not only experience His abundant blessings but also become conduits of His grace, bringing hope and healing to a world in desperate need.
### Key Takeaways
1. **Prioritizing God in Our Lives**: Making God the supreme authority in our lives is crucial. This means more than just attending church; it involves a daily commitment to prayer, worship, and immersing ourselves in His Word. When we prioritize God, everything else falls into place, and we experience His peace and guidance in all areas of our lives. [58:35]
2. **Living in Overflow**: God calls us to live in a state of overflow, not just to be filled. This overflow allows us to bless others and demonstrate God's love and power. When we are constantly filled with God's Spirit, we can effectively serve and minister to those around us, showing them the abundant life that God offers. [01:24:52]
3. **The Danger of Running on Empty**: Just as a car needs fuel to run smoothly, we need to be constantly filled with God's Spirit to operate effectively in our daily lives. Neglecting our spiritual well-being can lead to burnout and inefficiency. We must prioritize our relationship with God to avoid running on empty. [53:09]
4. **The Role of Community**: Being part of a church family is essential for our spiritual growth. It allows us to encourage and support one another, helping each other stay focused on God and His promises. This collective overflow can have a transformative impact on our church, city, and beyond. [16:20]
5. **Visible Victories**: When we prioritize God and live in a state of overflow, we begin to see visible victories in our lives. These victories are not just for our benefit but serve as a testimony to others of God's power and faithfulness. By living in overflow, we become conduits of God's grace, bringing hope and healing to a world in need. [01:45:26]

### Bible Reading
1. **1 Peter 3:15 (AMP)**: "But in your hearts set Christ apart as holy [and acknowledge Him] as Lord. Always be ready to give a [logical] defense to anyone who asks you to account for the hope and confident assurance [elicited by faith] that is within you, yet [do it] with gentleness and respect."
2. **John 15:5 (AMP)**: "I am the Vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in Me and I in him bears much fruit, for [otherwise] apart from Me [that is, cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing."
3. **2 Corinthians 9:7-8 (AMP)**: "Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace [every favor and earthly blessing] come in abundance to you, so that you may always [under all circumstances, regardless of the need] have complete sufficiency in everything [being completely self-sufficient in Him], and have an abundance for every good work and act of charity."

Day 1: Making God the Supreme Authority
In our busy lives, it is easy to let distractions and worries take precedence over our relationship with God. However, prioritizing God means more than just attending church on Sundays. It involves a daily commitment to prayer, worship, and immersing ourselves in His Word. When we make God the supreme authority in our lives, we experience His peace and guidance in all areas. This daily dedication helps us to see His goodness and faithfulness, allowing everything else to fall into place. [58:35]
Isaiah 26:3-4 (ESV): "You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock."
Reflection: What specific steps can you take today to prioritize your relationship with God? Consider setting aside a dedicated time for prayer and Bible reading.
Day 2: Living in a State of Overflow
God calls us not just to be filled but to live in a state of overflow. This means that His grace and blessings spill over into every aspect of our lives and into the lives of those around us. When we are constantly filled with God's Spirit, we can effectively serve and minister to others, demonstrating His love and power. This overflow is a testament to the abundant life that God offers and is meant to bless others. [01:24:52]
John 7:38 (ESV): "Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’”
Reflection: How can you allow God's Spirit to overflow in your life today? Think of one person you can bless with an act of kindness or encouragement.
Day 3: Avoiding Spiritual Burnout
Just as a car needs fuel to run smoothly, we need to be constantly filled with God's Spirit to operate effectively in our daily lives. Neglecting our spiritual well-being can lead to burnout and inefficiency. It is crucial to prioritize our relationship with God to avoid running on empty. By staying connected to Him, we ensure that we have the spiritual fuel needed to navigate life's challenges. [53:09]
Ephesians 5:18 (ESV): "And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit."
Reflection: Are there areas in your life where you feel spiritually drained? What can you do today to reconnect with God and refuel your spirit?
Day 4: The Importance of Community
Being part of a church family is essential for our spiritual growth. It allows us to encourage and support one another, helping each other stay focused on God and His promises. This collective overflow can have a transformative impact on our church, city, and beyond. Community provides a space for mutual edification and accountability, fostering an environment where we can grow together in faith. [16:20]
Hebrews 10:24-25 (ESV): "And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near."
Reflection: How can you contribute to your church community this week? Think of one way you can encourage or support a fellow believer.
Day 5: Visible Victories as Testimonies
When we prioritize God and live in a state of overflow, we begin to see visible victories in our lives. These victories are not just for our benefit but serve as a testimony to others of God's power and faithfulness. By living in overflow, we become conduits of God's grace, bringing hope and healing to a world in need. Our lives become a living testament to the transformative power of God's love. [01:45:26]
Psalm 40:3 (ESV): "He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord."
Reflection: Can you identify a recent victory in your life that demonstrates God's faithfulness? How can you share this testimony to encourage others?
Tried to weigh us down. Some days can't see the light. I'm just praying we be found. No food, no light, no water. And that baby needs some shoes. We won't go. Can't quit till we let y'all know. Hey, this love and peace I found. It never ends and it won't come down. Hey, I had a great idea. A world with no hate and no fear. All grace, love, and all cheers. Families, hugs, and no tears. Hey, let me just bask for a minute. Brand new whip, no windows tinted. Party in the street till the sun come get us. And tell the whole crew they can all come with us. And we ain't gotta lock the doors. And we don't need cops, of course. And we don't care about your skin. We just want peace. We want peace. We want peace. We want peace. We want peace. We want peace. We want peace. We want peace. We want peace. We want peace. We want peace. Too hard win, but in all I win. They tell me it's illogical. But anything is possible. Ha! If God be for us, we can overcome all obstacles. They say love covers a multitude of sins. So I'm in to put some love in the wind. Tell a friend.
All right. It is an awesome time when we can come together and praise the Lord. Has he been good to anybody this week? I don't know about you guys, but I was excited when Sunday was coming. My kids asked me yesterday and they said, "Daddy, is church tomorrow?" I said, "It sure is." I was glad when they said unto me, "Let us go into the house of the Lord." Why? Because I got an opportunity to tell people of the goodness and how good he's been. I get to see my brothers and sisters who've been going through it right with me this entire week. But I get to go in here and I get to go and rejoice. I get to go and be in awe of the goodness of God. I get to go and remind myself who God is, how he's been faithful, and how he continues to show his love for me in spite of myself. And I get to be around other people who are excited about the Lord as well, who are ready to get filled up as well, who are ready to hear from the Lord as well. And when you start thinking about that, something just starts stirring up on the inside of you. Like, I can't wait to get there. I got up early. I'm going to get the hair right. I'm going to get my feet, my toes done. I'm going to get my outfit right. I'm going to get everything right. So I can show up. I'm going to get ready to go to the house of the Lord. That is a privilege. That is an honor that we get to be here as brothers and sisters to come together and be grateful to God for all that he's done. It is something about being in the house of the Lord. Amen.
Well, good morning, everybody. Welcome to church. My name is Pastor Keenan. I am the pastor here at Limitless Church along with my wife, Miss Sonya. I was on vacation this past week and I am excited. My wife was like, "You ready?" I was like, "I'm ready to go back. I'm ready to go back." I'm excited to see each and every one of you this morning. If you're here and this was your very first time, I want to welcome you. I know that you probably thought that you came this morning and you made a great decision and you was just going to show up, check off your list to come to church. But no, God has something special in store for you. God has been moving your schedule. He's been changing your heart. He's been changing your conversations just so that you could be here today because there is something that he wants to say to you. There is something that he wants to get to you. And here at Limitless, we're just excited to be a part of the process. Limitless, can we make some noise for our visitors this morning?
And let me tell you why they're clapping and why they're excited, visitors, is because they know what's in store for you. Because they were once visitors and God did a miraculous thing and continues to do miraculous things in their life. And they're just excited because you've been set up. You've been set up and God is going to do something amazing. Do me a quick favor, visitors. On the seat pocket in front of you and up here on the screen, we have a QR code. It's one of my favorite things. You'll hear it as you come to Limitless. And if you open your phone and point your phone to that QR code, you'll see that we have a welcome card there. I would love to send you a video today just for you to welcome you to church. I would love to hear your story and find out how you found out about us. After service, I'm going to be out at the Team Limitless table right outside. Come by. I have a gift I'd love to put in your hands. And I just would love to just officially, face-to-face, welcome you.
As we continue to move on into worship, I got to tell you, my heart for us and the thing that has just been amazing and that's been sitting on my heart is just this attitude of gratitude. I'm grateful. I'm grateful for God's faithfulness. I'm grateful for the things that he continues to do. Not just in my life, but in your life, in the life of the city, in the life of this church. I'm grateful. I'm grateful that he woke me up this morning. I'm grateful that I'm not laying in a hospital bed right now. I'm grateful that there's clothes on my back, that there's running water. I'm grateful that I got a roof over my head. I'm grateful that on my way here, I didn't get into a tragic accident, but I made it here safely. And I'm grateful because I recognize all of that has nothing to do with me. And it's all because of him. He is the reason. And it's just in that attitude that I just make a decision. And I would challenge you to make the same decision today. To lay aside the distractions. I know you got a lot going on in life. I know Monday through Friday is a lot. But I challenge you right now to lay aside. The Bible says, "Cast your cares. Cast your worries. Cast your anxieties on him. Because he cares for you."
So I'm going to challenge you in this next few moments of worship. I'm going to challenge you to cast those things. To lay it aside and focus on him. Focus on his goodness. Focus on his faithfulness. Focus on how good in the practical things he's been to you thus far. Focus on those things in these moments. If you say, "Hey, you know what, Pastor? It's just too overwhelming. I want to focus. But I can't. There's so many things going on. There's so many things on my heart." Then I got a step for you. I'm going to have my altar team come up. And if you're like, "Pastor, I just can't push through right now." Then I want to pray for you. Before we even get into the rest of the service. Before we get to. I want to pray for you. So if you're here today. And you say, "Pastor, I recognize that it's heavy on me. And I need somebody to pray for me." Then I want to invite you in this moment. To get prayer. And then get in here. And press through. And watch what God does on your behalf.
The one thing that I can tell you about God is that he is consistent. And I'll throw in another bonus for you. He is faithful. You make the decision right now. That's how the rest of this service is going to go. This could be breakthrough right now. But you got to make the decision. This could be the moment right now. But are you willing to take the step forward? And get in here. And get to work. I'm going to pray. And once I say amen. You move. And we're going to continue in worship.
Heavenly Father, thank you. Thank you for your grace. Thank you for your mercy. Thank you for your goodness. Thank you for your faithfulness. Thank you for being God in our lives. As we move into this next area of worship. God, we ask that you would hear us. Just like you did with the children of Israel. Your word says, "You inhabited their praises." We pray that you would inhabit this place. God, that your presence would sit on this place. That you would move in the hearts and in the minds of your people. This is your house. Have your way, God. Do what only you can do. We believe you to be God. And God alone. I thank you for breakthrough in the lives of your people right now. I thank you that chains are being removed. I thank you that burdens are being destroyed. I thank you that hearts are being restored. Minds are being restored. Right now, God. We believe you. Trust you. We move in faith. In Jesus' name. Amen.
Amen. Good morning, good morning, good morning, church. Amen. Can we make some noise for our worship team this morning? It is good to see each and every one of you this morning. Welcome, welcome again. As I said, if this is your first time, welcome. It's good to see you. We're glad that you're here.
Very quickly before we begin, I have one announcement and that is for the ladies of Limitless Church. If you are here, ladies, could you make some noise? Ladies, we have an event for you. It is our Going Beyond Women's Ministry event. It is a simulcast and it is hosted by Priscilla Shirer. Did I get that right? All right, cool. Priscilla Shirer is going to be hosting the simulcast. There's worship that's going to be happening. The guy who's leading worship is an amazing guy who's going to be leading worship. Ladies, I need for you to do me a favor and register, okay? The QR code is here on the screen. It is also available outside. If you have trouble with the QR code, you can go outside to the Team Limitless table after service.
Now, ladies, I know that y'all love being together and I know that y'all love getting together and participating in these things. You know what else I know? Y'all love to do? Register at the last minute. Let's not do that, okay? Let's not do that. We want to make sure that we are prepared for you, that we have food ready for you, that we have our decor and everything ready so that we won't be rushing at the table at the last minute to get you registered. We want you to be there and we want to be prepared for your arrival. So please do me a favor, QR code screen, sign up outside.
We had a generous Team Limitless family member who decided to cover all of the cost of the actual event. So what does that mean? The only cost that we're covering is our food and our decor. So the price is actually drastically different than it was two weeks ago. Thank you to the generosity of one of our Limitless family members.
So we want to make sure, yeah, y'all better make some noise about that. Hallelujah. And we want you to be there. We don't want finances to be a barrier for you missing what God has for you in this moment. This is going to be amazing and we want you there. So please do me a favor, register, register, register.
Also, very quickly, if you are here and you are a child in, well, I guess, what was it, kindergarten through 12th grade, can you stand for me? Kindergarten through 12th, if you're here, stand up. If you go on the school, stand up. Man, this ain't even first service. Stand up. First through 12th. Christina, why you... Never mind. Oh, first through 12, you okay? Well, you can stand up if you're going to school. Stand up. Okay, all right, good. Is that everyone?
Okay, I want to take a second and pray for you. I know that you are walking into a school year this year and some of you, you have no idea what to expect. Maybe last year wasn't great. You may not be as excited about this year, or maybe last year was great and you're trying to live up to this upcoming year. Whatever it is, I want to pray for you. I know how it is and I can vividly remember dreading August, dreading it with everything that is in me. But I want to pray for you because I believe that this year can be one of the best years that you have ever had in your history of school. I believe that.
And so what I want to do is I want to pray a blessing over your life for this year. If you are a parent, would you stretch your hands towards your child right now? Stretch your hands towards your child if you are a parent. Okay, auntie, grandma, uncle, stretch your hands towards the child that is nearest to you. Heavenly Father, I pray over every child that is here right now. God, I plead the blood of Jesus over their life. God, as they walk into this school year, that you would protect them, that you would keep them. God, I pray for supernatural wisdom and understanding in this year. God, I bind depression. I bind anxiety and fear, for your word says you have not given us a spirit of fear but of love, joy, peace, and a sound mind. I declare that over each and every child that is here.
God, I confess that I am a son of God and I am a son of God and I am a son of God and I am a son of God that this will be one of the best years that they have ever had. God, I pray that they will be leaders and not followers. I declare that they are the head and not the tail. They are above and not beneath. God, I pray that they are lights that will shine in the midst of darkness. I pray of a hedge of protection over their life, God. That the angels will be encamped around them every day as they go to and fro school, God. For the parents, I pray that you will quicken their spirit to cover their child, God. God, I pray for wisdom this year. That they will be the leaders that you've called them to be. That they will shine like never before because of what you are doing in their life. I pray for a visible victory this school year. In Jesus' name, amen.
Amen. All right, be seated. Okay. Okay, we ready to dive into this word? All right. We have been having conversations over the past couple of weeks, and this is a sermon that I've preached before. I rarely do sermons. 99% of y'all wasn't here when I preached the sermon this morning, so it's going to be new for y'all. But I've been having conversations that have re-brought this subject up. And I believe that when I pray and ask the Lord, "What is it that you would have me to speak?" There are several ways that he does that. One way, it'll be a direct message, a scripture that he'll bring it to. Other ways, there'll be things that are happening in my life. And the other ways that it'll be conversations. And this conversation is one that continued to come up. And I felt the Lord was saying that this was something I needed to speak on.
So for a lot of us, we have been running on E, okay? Some of you have been running on E and you didn't even know it. You've been pressing. You've been trying to get through. You've been trying to make it happen. You've been trying to get through. You've been trying to get to the places, show up to the things, do all of the things. But it's not working. And you are depleted. And you've been trying to pour from an area in which you are depleted. You've been pouring, maybe not even from what you feel is an empty cup, but anything less than full is empty. So you've been pouring from an empty cup. And you've been wondering why it's not hitting like it used to. Why is it that I'm trying to do it? But it's not happening.
And so today, I want to talk about us moving from a place of empty to a place of overflow. From empty to overflow. Some of us think, and we're going to dive into this, is that the answer is if I can just get full. If I just get full, I'm going to come in Sunday and I'm going to fill my cup and then I'm going to be good. That's not right. Because when you come in Sunday and you get full, you get just full, whenever you pour, you are now depleted. Hasn't called us to just be at a place of full. God has called us to be at a place of overflow. And in this message, I want to explain to you why it is important that we live a life of overflow. Not a life of full, not a life of empty. We have to live a life of overflow.
When I was younger, I used to... It wasn't my first car, it was my second car. My second car that I owned was a 2001 Crown Vic. I'm from Atlanta. I'm from the South. We like Crown Victorious. I don't know why. It's just something about who we are, the place that I grew up. Don't worry about any of that. I like Crown Victorious. I love them because this one that I particularly got was a police interceptor, which means it had all the bells and all the whistles from when it used to be a cop car that they forgot to take out. Jackpot. All right? So, I just love this car. It was all black, had a red stripe on the side. This was one of... If I could have brought that car here and I was assured that it would have made it, I would still be driving that car right now. Believe me. That's how much I love this car.
When my wife met me, I had this car. The thing was, when I first got this car, around the corner from me was a mechanic. And I would go to this mechanic all the time. And he told me when I got this car, because he saw how excited I was and how young I was. He said, "Look, do not run this car on E. Do not run this car on E." He said, "It is important. I know how you are. I know you're young and you're just going to ride. And then once the E comes on, you're going to fill it up. This is not one of those cars. You cannot run it on E because if you run it on E, what's going to happen is the gas line will get clogged from the residue that is going to be coming and it's going to be at the bottom of the tank. It says you're going to clog the line."
And me being young and dumb and excited, I did not listen. I did not listen. And one day I find myself on the side of the road pulled over and my car will not start. So I had it towed. Had it towed to the mechanic. That same mechanic who told me not to do this. And when I got to the mechanic place, around the corner from my house, I walked up to him and I said, I asked him, I said, "What's wrong? Man, what's up with the car?" You know what he did? He looked at me. It was of Caribbean descent. So those of you who know about this, you will understand this. He looked at me, said, "It's all he did." And from that, I already understood everything that needed to be said. I knew what was going on.
See, what had happened was I had got brand new tires. I had got a one. I had got a wax coat on the outside of the car. I put two 12s in the back and two 10s under my seat. I had got the leather wax interior so that when you touch it, it wouldn't go off, but that it would stay on the car. I had got white wall tires on the outside. I had done everything to the outside of the car, but I neglected what was happening under the hood. I paid so much attention to the exterior that I missed what was happening under the hood. I paid so much attention to what was happening on the interior. And what happened was the buildup from the outside had gotten to a place to where it stopped the whole thing from working because it blocked the engine from getting what it needed, fuel, to allow the car to operate effectively.
We, as believers, cannot be expected, or you cannot expect to operate effectively, effectively, to follow God's plan for your life, to walk out the great commission, to do those great things that God has called us to do if we ourselves are living a life where we're running on empty, where we're running a life where we're spiritually depleted. We cannot pour from an empty pitcher. It is imperative that we live a life of overflow, that we move from this place of living from empty, living. We cannot pour on just enough to living a life of overflow.
The reason that we see the disciples and Jesus do so many great things, when we read the scriptures, we see these people doing great things is because they made it a habit to live a life and made it a habit to operate out of the overflow. They operated out of the overflow. I am excited about all the efforts that Limitless Church has taken on and has overcome and accomplished. I am excited. I'm more than anybody to get next door, to get to the new home and to do all of the things that we want to do in that city. But I am aware that in order for us to see the overflow happen in this church, in order for us to see the overflow happen in this city, in order for us to see the overflow happen in our homes, there first has to be an overflow happening on the inside of us. It starts individually with each, individually.
And every one of us, we cannot live in a place of spiritual lack. We cannot live in a place of spiritual insufficiency. We cannot live in a place of empty. We have to be in overflow. We have to put first things first. We have to make Christ and our lifestyle as followers of Jesus, as followers of his word. We have to make sure that it is priority. Above everything else, above everything else. I know we don't like to hear that, right? I know we, you, everything, everything. He has to be priority. The Bible talks about how he hates an uneven scale. And in that particular scripture, he's talking about judgment, but the principle applies that God is a God of order. And when he is not in order, you can't expect everything else to go right.
When your life is not in order, you can't expect everything else to go right. When your spiritual life is not in order, you cannot expect things to go right. And I guarantee you that if you are facing these storms, these situations, these things, I would challenge you to look at the priorities in your life and assess where God is. First Peter chapter three, verse 15. Verse 15 says, "But in your hearts, set Christ apart as holy, acknowledging him, giving him first place in your life as Lord. Always be ready to give a logical defense to anyone who asks you to the account, to account for the hope and the confident assurance elicited by faith that is within you. Yet do it with gentleness and respect."
Peter says, give Christ first place in your life. He didn't say give Christ first day of the week. If the music is right. And the coffee is right. And you agree with what the preacher is saying. And if it's at a timely matter, he didn't say that. He said, give him first place in your life. Not first place if it fits your schedule, not first place if it agrees with what you feel like with what your emotions say and what you feel like should be happening. No, he said, make him first place in your life. He says, set Christ apart as holy. Set him apart. That means everything. Everything else is here. Christ is here. Set him apart as holy. And then it says, make him first place in your life as Lord.
Okay. This word Lord, when translated into the Greek is the word kurios. K-U-R-I-O-S. Curious. And that word means supreme in authority. Make Christ first place in your life as supreme in authority. A lot of us move to this. We move to this place of E because we move Christ from first place in our life. We've moved him from first and we moved him from first to a place of convenience. He's first today. It's Sunday. First day. So I'm in church. He's first today. Monday. Ah, you know, my schedule. And then I got the kids and I got to do this. I got to do that. I got to eat. I got these meetings. Not first.
We move him from first when it's not convenient. We move him from first when it's not easy. We move him from first when it doesn't agree with what we feel. We move him from first when it doesn't agree with what the culture says around us and it's going to cost us something. So we just move him and then we just, we put him in our pocket for now. And our lives and the outcome of our lives is a result of that. We wonder why we're seeing the things that we are when he is not first. As the pastor said this quote, and I've said it quite since I heard it. Parents, if you see the things of God as optional, don't be surprised when your child sees God as unnecessary. If you see the things of God as optional, don't be surprised when your children see God as unnecessary. He must be first. He must be first.
And it's not just our actions. It's not just in the things that we do. Because we can do the things. We can do the things and he's still not be first. We show up, still not first. Cry and worship, still not first. Be here every time the doors are open and still not first. How you doing? I'm blessed and highly favored, but he's still not first. It's not just your actions. What Peter said to preface this scripture, please put that scripture back up. The first four words of first Peter chapter three, but in your hearts, set them apart. You know what I'm saying? In your actions, because if he set apart in your heart, then the actions will follow. Then your conversation will follow. Then your priorities will follow. Then the things that you tolerate will follow. But if you don't set him apart first in your heart, then everything else is going to tell on you.
He said, set him apart in your heart because we can do all of the things, but the telltale will always be our heart. God always looks at the heart and it will expose where we really are. Scripture where God is saying, someone goes to God and says, "God, didn't I cast out demons in your name? Didn't I prophesy in your name? Didn't I do all these things in your name?" And he will say, "Depart from me. You worker of iniquity. I never knew you." Why? You was just doing stuff. So it is possible. So do all of the things that I just mentioned that we would deem, "Oh, that person is. Oh, yes. They're with God. Oh, they know," and get to heaven and God will say, "I never knew you." Why? Because I never had your heart.
He says in your heart, set me apart as holy in your heart. If the posture of our heart doesn't change, nothing. Everything else will. If he's first in our heart, everything else will follow. And if he's not, everything else will follow. Matthew six says, "Where your treasure is, where your heart, where your treasure is, your heart, your wishes, your desires, that which on your life centers will be also." Where's your heart? God will always look at our heart and tell us where we really are. If you're in a relationship and you only talk to that person once a week, can I just tell you something? Because I love you. You're not in a relationship. If he only talked to you once a week, it's because you're not the one, baby. You're not. You're not. Leave him and tell him I said it. And if you got a problem, tell him, meet me here Sundays, nine or 11. I'll be right here. Same place, same time every week.
Imagine you, especially ladies. You know how y'all love communication. Y'all. Oh, my God. Y'all communicate. Let's talk. Let's talk. Let's talk. Let's do all of the talking. Let's talk until we can't talk anymore. You're in a relationship. You're in a relationship and they want to talk to you once a week. Once a week out of seven days. You're not going to tolerate that. You're going to start wondering what's going on. You're going to question whether you're even in a relationship. You won't see any fruit from that relationship. You won't have any knowledge of that relationship. You won't have any knowledge about. You won't have any knowledge about the other person. None of that. Only once a week. But we do the same with God and expect different results. We read once a week. We show up once a week. We talk to him once a week. And we're like, "God, why can't I hear you?" Because you don't know him.
God, why aren't you? Why aren't you showing up? Why aren't you? Because y'all not in a relationship. He has to be first. He has to be priority. Because when he's not, that is when things start to get amiss. He has to be priority. Revelations chapter two, verse one. To the angel or the divine messenger of the church in Ephesus write. These are the words of the one who holds firmly the seven stars, which are the angels or the messengers of the seven churches in his right hand. The one who walks among the seven golden lampstands, which are the seven churches. I know your deeds and your toil. I know your prayers. Your patient endurance that you cannot tolerate those who are evil. And you have tested and critically appraised those who call themselves apostles or special messengers, or personally chosen representatives in Christ. And in fact, are not. Now you have found them to be liars and imposters. And I know that you who believe are enduring patiently and you are bearing up for my namesake and that you have not grown weary of being faithful to the truth.
But I have this charge against you. I have this one thing against you. That you have left your first love. You have lost the depth of love that you first had for me. So remember the height from which you have fallen and repent. Change your inner self, your old way of thinking, your sinful behavior and seek God's will. And do the works which you did at first when you first knew me. Otherwise, I will visit you and remove your lampstand, the church and its impact from its place unless you repent. He says, "I know that you've been doing all of the things. I know that you've been doing all of the things. I know that you have been serving, that you have been shouting, that you have been giving, that you have been singing, dancing, that you have been doing all of the things. But I have this one thing against you. You have left your first love."
He says, "Repent." That word repent means to turn away, to change your way of thinking and believing. Repent. The thing I notice is he said, "You have left your first love." Notice he did not say you don't love me. Because we'll get offended and be like, "You trying to tell me I don't love God? I love God. I go to church every Sunday. I do all of the things. I love." That's not what he said. He didn't say, "You don't love me." What he said was that you have repositioned your love for me. You have repositioned your love for me. Then God says, "Repent."
Now we see throughout the Bible. The only thing that God tells us to repent of is sin. So what that tells me is that you running on E isn't so much a scheduling issue. It's a sin issue. It is a sin issue. I know it's hard to hear. I get it. I'm with you. We're hearing it all together. It's a sin issue. Now, what could be? And I thought about this as even as I'm here. What is a sin? Well, what happens is when we don't put God first, we begin to lean and rely on ourself. That is called self-effort. And when you move into self-effort, that means you're not trusting God. That is a problem. It's a sin issue that we have to repent from. He says, "Repent and do the works that you did at first when you first knew me." Man, remember when you first got saved, remember how excited you were, how grateful you were, the sense of just gratitude that you had, how you used to worship like nobody was watching, how you prayed and made time and would tell other people you didn't care what nobody thought because you were just so grateful to the Lord for all that he had done, that you would tell people about the day and night difference that he made in your life, that you would explain to them the word.
But then something happened. Then you started to care about how people felt. You started to care about your schedule more than him. You used to make time to be with him, but then something happened and he says, "Repent and do the works that you did at first when you first knew me." See, I want that old thing back. When we prioritize spending time with him, when we prioritize speaking to him, hearing from him in prayer, worshiping him, spending time together as a body. When we make that thing priority, that is how we move from a place of empty to a place to where we're being consistently renewed, where we're being consistently restored, where we're being consistently restored. We're being consistently filled and removed from empty to overflow.
There is something that happens when you start having a conversation about him. There is something that happens when you begin sharing the goodness of God in your life. There is something that happens when you say, "You know, I was just praying the other day and I felt like the Lord was saying this to me." And somebody else says, "You know what? I was reading this scripture and this is the thing that I didn't even see this before and now I see it and it has changed the whole way." You know, I was thinking about that message that pastor preached and that this scripture just popped out to him. And what happens is something begins to happen on the inside of you and you want to keep having that conversation and you want to keep talking about his goodness. And you want, what's happening here is your spiritual man is beginning to get filled.
When you pray, when you spend time in prayer, when you spend time in worship, these are things that are now filling the cup and it keeps filling it and filling and filling until it overflows. But when you pray, when you spend time in worship, when you spend time in worship, when you pray, you can to the... What are we speaking to that the Lord is saying? But when those things are not happening, that is how we get to a place of empty because time, because schedule, because the kids, because the bills, because this is going on and that's going on, stuff that ain't even got nothing to do with you, you're worried about. Oh, that's just me? That's just me.
We're worried about stuff that has nothing to do with us and we will tell the kids that they ain't got nothing to do with you. Don't worry about that. And we doing the same thing. But these things take priority over our spending time with Jesus. These things add no value to our life. They add no value to our spirit. They add no value to what God has for us or the calling of God on our life. But we will spend time in that and not spend time with him and wonder why we're angry, wonder why we're short patient, wonder why we're frustrated, wondering why we can't seem to get it together, wondering why we're snapping at people, wondering why our bills don't seem to be working and our finances aren't working. And we're trying to figure out why. Why are we angry at our spouse? Why are we yelling? Why are things not? Why, why, why? It's because you're trying to operate from an empty place. You're empty and you may not even know it.
John chapter 15 verse 5 says, "I am the vine." When you look at the definition of this word vine, it means I am the source. I am the thing that fills. I am the thing that gives life. I am the vine. Verse 5 says, "You are the branches." He says, "The one who remains in me or the one who abides in me and I in him bears much fruit." Here we go. "For otherwise, apart from me, cut off from vital union with me, you can do nothing." You can do nothing. Nothing. And for many of us, we have been trying to do everything disconnected from him. And just like the church in Ephesus, we didn't even know it. We're running hard. We're showing up. We're doing the things. We're doing all of the things. And God said, "That ain't me." And we're getting tired and we're getting mad. And we don't even know why. Because we're trying to do the things not connected to the source, not connected to the vine.
He says, "Abide in me and I in you." We've tried to press in. We've tried to serve. But it's to no avail. We focused all of our energy on our career and our schedule and our plans and our calendars and our culture and our kids. And we focused all of our attention, all of our energy, everything we have on that. And we can't find out why we are drained and empty. We must be connected to the vine. We have to get back to abiding. We have to get back to abiding. We have to move from empty and get to the overflow.
This idea of abiding. I look at it like, I'm a beach person. I love being on the beach. It's one of my favorite things. On the beach, you know, and the water's there. And you got a palm tree or some tree that provides shade. And you got your little, what's the thing? Hammock there. I don't get on them because, well, praise God. 20, 30 pounds less, maybe. You get on it. And you just are there. And you don't move. You just lay. Relax. Abide.
But that's not us. We can't do that. No, no, no, no, no. We get in and get out, go get some water. We get in, get back out. Oh, I forgot the lotion. Get in, get back out. I should have grabbed my cell phone. Get in, get back out. Oh, I need the speaker. And we can't just sit still. He says, "If you abide in me and I in you, guess what? What happens? You bear much fruit." Some of us are not seeing the fruit in our life because we're not abiding. We in and then we out. We believe by faith and then we don't believe. We believe God for our marriage and then we don't believe God for our marriage. We believe God is going to make a breakthrough and then we worried about it because we don't think the breakthrough.
Abide. The Lord's like, "I wish you would just sit down somewhere. Abide in me and I." He who abides in me and I in you, you will produce much fruit. Why is this important? Because God tells us a tree will be known by the what? The fruit that it bears. We are called to bear fruit. But the only way that we can bear fruit is if we abide in him.
Second Corinthians chapter nine, verse seven and eight. Verse seven says, "Each one of you should give." Now let me preface. This scripture is about being generous. It's about giving financially. But there is a principle here that applies to every area of our life. Second Corinthians chapter nine, verse seven says, "Each one of you should give just as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion." This is why I get, I try to make the, you will never hear a $10 line, a $50 line, $100,000 line in this church ever. That is compulsion and it is of the devil. I said it. We're not to give reluctantly. If you feel so bad, please keep it. The scripture says you should not give reluctantly or under compulsion. Why? Because God loves a cheerful giver.
So he's talking about giving, right? He's talking about giving, talking about giving. Here's where verse eight, as a result of you being generous, as a result of you being a giver, whether that is financially, whether that is your gift, whether that is your time, whatever it is, he says, "And God is able to make all grace." What does this word grace mean? This word grace is defined as unmerited favor of God. It is favor that you don't even deserve. Unmerited. He says, "God is able to make all unmerited favor of God do what? Overflow to you so that because you have enough of everything in every way at all times, you will overflow in every good work."
As a result of you being generous, he says, "I'm able to make it overflow. I'm able to make it overflow in every area." See, for some of us, this is how we've been living. We've been coming to church and we've been serving and we've been praying and on Sunday, we're here. Monday through Friday, not so much, but Sunday, we're in it. We're ready to go. When we come to church, say, "I'm ready to come to church and get filled up." Fill it up, fill it up. And this is where we are. We're full. But what happens is when we have to serve our spouse, when we have to serve our children, we have to serve others, then we begin to pour.
And we begin to, maybe you got toddlers. Hallelujah. Maybe you got more than one child. Bless God. And this is what you've been trying to run off of. This is what you've been trying to run off of. And you are expecting to be able to live and run the fullness of all that God has called you to do on this. This is not how God has called you to do. This is not how God has called you to live. Do not continue to live a life here. This is not what God has called you to do. This is not what he has in store for you. This was not his plan for your life. This is not it. This will lead you to burnout. This will lead you to give up, cave in, and quit. This is when the enemy starts to attack and tell you, "You know what? You might as well just give it up. You might as well just throw in. You might as well just throw in the towel. You might as well forget about it. And nothing is working. It's been all this time and it's still." Why? Because you're here.
That's not what the scripture says. Each one of you give because God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace, all unmerited favor overflow. See, what happens is when you come to church on Sunday and you're serving and you're worshiping and you're seeking God and then Monday you say, "You know what? I'm going to get up early and I'm going to pray. And you know what? I'm going to pray over my family. And you know what? I'm going to go to that woman's Bible study. I'm going to go to that life group. I'm going to go to that thing. You know what? I'm going to go and pray with the saints. I'm going to go and do that. I'm going to go on a Saturday morning worship. I'm going to do what? I'm going to read my word in the morning. I'm going to do all of the things. You know, I'm going to worship. I'm going to listen to some worship music. I'm going to pray over my job. I'm going to pray over the people around me."
I’m praying for it begins to overflow. Why? Why does it overflow? He says, "I am able to make all unmerited favor overflow." Why? Why is it necessary that it overflows? So that you, because you have enough of everything in every way at all times. He says you will overflow in every good work. That's not about you. That good work is about other people. So now what happens is because you're full, right? Because you're full, you got everything that you need, right? So you fine. So you there. But see now when you, when it's time for you to serve your wife, your husband. Now when it's time for you to serve your wife, your husband, serve your kids, now when it's time for you to pray over people, now when it's time for you to serve your church, now when it's time for you to use your gift, now when it's time for you to give, you got so much that you can fill somebody else up.
And look at you. Look at you. You are still full. Why? Because you have moved from living to a life of just enough to moving into a life of overflow. And look at this. Look at this. I want you to see this. You see this on the outside? This is the residue that unbelievers see when they see somebody who's living a life that is overflowing. Why? Because the world is depleted. They are empty, and they are looking for how to get filled. And they have tried drugs. They have tried alcohol. They have tried sexual immorality. They have tried everything under the book to get filled, and they can't figure out why they can't get filled. And here you go. Look at you. All full. And they look at you, and they ask, "How did you get full?" And you will be able to say, "It was Jesus. I spend time with him. I'm in a relationship with him. I'm in a relationship with him."
Oh, you mean you go to church? No, baby. No, baby. No, but I don't just go to church. I am with him Sunday, Sunday to Sunday. I am talking to him in the day, and I'm praying to him at night. I am praying over my kids. I'm praying over my, I'm in the car praying for everybody else who don't know how to drive. I'm with him all day long. That is how I got to a place. Why are you always happy when things are sad? Why are you not worried when the rest of the world is worried? Why are you not getting involved in all this mess in this politics? You say, "I got too much going on. I'm busy pouring into other people. I'm busy pouring into those around me because I am living a life of overflow." It's not just a moment for me. I don't get in here Sunday and get full. No, no, no, no. I'm already full when I get in here so that when I'm in here, now I'm getting the overflow so that I can pour into somebody else.
This is the life that he's called us to do. Everything that is inside is for you. The overflow is for you. That's for everyone else. That's for everyone else. The ultimate objective is our life in our life is so that God will get the glory. That is the objective of our life so that God will get the glory and God gets the glory when we prioritize him. When we set him as first above everything else that will get our eyes off of restoring and replenishing ourselves, because that's what we like. Oh, I just got, I'm just trying to get myself full. I'm just trying to get me. No, no, no, no. When you in the overflow, it gets your eyes off of just restoring yourself. And now you can focus on restoring others.
Let me go over here and pray for such and such. Oh, the Lord put such and such on my mind. Let me go give and sow into their life. You know what such and such, let me go buy some groceries. Yes, Lord, I hear you because you're so focused on yourself. You can't hear what God is calling you to do. Move from empty to overflow. Overflow. Your family needs you to get to the overflow. Your children need you to get to the overflow. This church needs you to get to the overflow. This city needs you to get to the overflow. This life of overflow for us is not optional. At any other church, it might be optional. But for Limitless Church, this life of overflow is not optional. It is a mandate and it is vital to who we are and what God has called us to.
Ephesians 3 says, "Never doubt God's mighty power to work in you." Never doubt God's mighty power to work in you and accomplish all of this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest requests, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination. He will outdo them all. For his miraculous power constantly energizes you. Just like my Crown Vic, our spiritual lives can become clogged with the residue of the distractions and the misplaced priorities of this life. And we could find ourselves pulling to the side of the road, running on fumes, trying to serve from an empty tank. But God has called us to something greater. He desires for us to be conduits of his grace, pouring out love and truth to this world, pouring it out to this world around us.
When we prioritize him, when we put him first in our hearts, his power will overflow in us, enabling us to be conduits of his grace. He's calling us to bless others in a way that we never could have imagined, that we never even thought was possible. We cannot settle for survival. It is time out for settling for survival. We are called to embrace the fullness of a fully surrendered life in Christ. When we abide in him, we bear much fruit. Our family, our community, and this church is waiting for us to step into the overflow. Waiting for us to step into the overflow. God is ready to do immeasurably above all that we could ask or think. Let's not stand in his way. Don't just get filled. Get into the overflow.
Heavenly Father, thank you for your word. Thank you for reminding us of what it is that you called us to do. God, we repent right now if any of us have taken you from first place in our life. We acknowledge it and we repent of that. Show us, quicken our spirits, that we would put you first in every decision, in everything, that you would be Lord, that you would reign as supreme in authority in our lives, in every area. That we wouldn't just get filled on Sunday, but that we would be getting filled every day of the week and live a life of overflow. That we would be able to do the good works that you called us to do. Thank you for reminding us to live in the overflow. In your son's name we pray. Amen.
Y'all get anything out of that? I'm going to have our offering team come forward at this time. Thanks, Mike. I want to say thank you. Limitless. I love me some Limitless Church, boy. I love me some Limitless Church. I want to say thank you because two weeks ago we met Pastor Sam and we had over 30 families or 30 children that got sponsored just from our church. And this is, that's big. Yeah. And sponsorship is a big deal. And so I want to say thank you for sponsoring those kids in Zambia. But even more so this past week, I was able to take a little vacation on Monday. And we got back on last night and I took my kids on vacation and it was great for them. They had a great time. And, but while I was there, I got a phone call early in the morning, which made me a little upset because I was on vacation and I don't like to get up early in the morning.
I looked at it, and I saw who it was. I picked up the phone. It was Pastor Sam. He said, "I wanted to call because I wanted you to tell your church thank you for me." He said, "This past couple of weeks, we've had to cancel school in the middle of the day because we haven't had enough water to run our food program because the pump that we have is electric, and we haven't had water, so we can't do the food, because the pump not only supplies the water for the kids here at iDream, but it supplies water for the community as well, and we're experiencing a drought unlike anything we've ever seen." He says, "But I wanted to call to say thank you. Because of the generosity of Limitless Church, we were able to install solar panels that will now operate and run our water pump so that we now have... have water, not just for iDream and the 400 kids that are here, but for the entire community that is able to be."
And they sent us this picture. Because of your generosity, having sufficiency, I'll repreach this whole thing. And then he said, "Because of more of your generosity, we were able to finish our library. Not only were we able to finish it, but we were able to put a roof on, get our books inside, and paint it because of Limitless Church. And we wanted to say thank you."
So very quickly, I wanted to tell you why it is important that you live a life of overflow. This is why it's important. Because it's bigger than you and me. It's bigger than what we have to do. It's bigger than the things that are going on. Because you decided to be generous. Because you decided to give out of whatever it was that you had. There are people all the way across the world in Africa that are now drinking water because you said yes. Kids that are eating food that will have a full day of class with lunch because you decided to be generous. This is not a game for us. Other places you go, it might be a game. This is not a game here. We are called. We are called to take the limits off of the way that people see Jesus, faith, and the church. And we were able to accomplish that. Thank you for your generosity. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
And so I pray today as you give that you will be reminded of what your overflow does. Yes, it supports the needs of our church. Thank you. We take care of the building. We take care of the needs of this house. But we also take care of the body of Christ. Because that is what we're called to do. So as you give today, I pray that that would be your heart. Overflow.
Heavenly Father, I pray as we prepare our hearts for giving, I pray that you would move in the hearts of your people yet again. Whatever it is that you would have us to give, God, we make a decision to give cheerfully. We make a decision to be cheerful givers so that you can put your super on our natural. That we would be in all sufficiency and everything at all times so that we could do the good works that you've called us to do. Whatever it is that you would have us to give, let us give it today, God, that you would get the glory and honor. We believe that our finances, our seed that you have given us. Because your word says you give seed to the sower. So we sow this seed on good ground and we command it to go and grow and multiply and do exactly what you sent it to do. In Jesus' name. Amen.
There are three ways for you to give here at Limitless. If you're watching online, you can text the word give to 833-879-0161 or go to limitlesswildland.com or the Limitless app. If you're here with us, you can give in the envelope on the seat pocket in front of you or the QR code. Thank you for your generosity. After the bucket pass, would you do me a favor and stand? And then I'll pray and dismiss you.
I'm going to call our prayer team up one more time. If you're here today and you have not made Jesus Lord of your life, the only way you move from empty to overflow is if you're connected to the vine. And the only way that you can be connected to the vine is if you declare him as Lord of your life. Today is the day of salvation. Today you make the decision that could change the trajectory of your entire life by making Jesus Christ Lord of your life. You've done it on your own long enough. God sent his son because he wanted to be in relationship with you. He sent his son to die because he loved you. And he says that if you believe in your heart and confess Jesus as Lord, then you will be saved. Saved from what? Saved from a life separated with him and eternity without him. Today is your day.
If you're here today. And you said, "Pastor, I recognized that I haven't made Christ priority in my life. And I want to make a change. I want to recommit my life to Jesus." He was first at one place, but he hasn't been first. And I want to make him first today. Then I want to pray with you. I want to pray with you. See God. Be God in your life. If that's you today. And lastly, if you're here today, if you're here today and you say, "Pastor, I just need some prayer. I believe I'm believing God for something myself, but I want someone to intercede for me or intercede with me." Then we want to pray for you as well. This life is not a game. And we know how the enemy can attack. But my prayer and this, I just woke up. I just woke up with this, this morning, my prayer is that you would begin to see visible victories in your life, but it starts with you making a decision today to place him back where he belongs. I declare visible victories in your life.
So if you need God to, if you, if you're looking and you need to agree with someone in prayer, then we want to offer you that today. Visible victories, I declare visible victories. Our altar team is open. People have already begun to come. Don't leave here without getting what you were sent here for to my left on this wall. Our altar team is here ready, willing, and waiting to pray with you today begins the rest of your life, but that choice is up to you.
Heavenly Father, I pray over those under the sound of my voice. And those watching online, Father, I declare visible victories. I declare breakthrough. I declare peace in the midst of turmoil, God. I thank you that your word has been hidden in their heart, that this word is incorruptible seed, and it was planted on good ground. God, I pray that this word begins to just get in them all week long. God, that as opportunities present themselves, they will make a decision to make him priority, to make him priority in their life, and that they will begin to walk from empty into the overflow. We declare that it is, and that it is so in your name. We pray. Amen.
Do I need to say that? Yes. So if you are in kids ministry and you are a kids ministry volunteer. Amen. Or junior volunteer, there is a meeting in the living room for you guys immediately following service. Amen. God bless you, I love you, and don't forget, live limitless.

### Quotes for Members
1. "We, as believers, cannot be expected, or you cannot expect to operate effectively. Effectively, to follow God's plan for your life, to walk out the great commission, to do those great things that God has called us to do. If we ourselves are living a life where we're running on empty, where we're running a life where we're spiritually depleted, we cannot pour from an empty picture. It is imperative that we live a life of overflow, that we move from this place of living from empty, living." [55:42] (40 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)
2. "A lot of us move to this place of E because we move Christ from first place in our life. We move him from first when it's not easy." [01:00:19] (39 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)
3. "When we prioritize spending time with him, when we prioritize speaking to him, hearing from him in prayer, worshiping him, spending time together as a body. When we make that thing priority, that is how we move from a place of empty to a place to where we're being consistently renewed, where we're being consistently restored, where we're being consistently filled and removed from empty to overflow." [01:11:59] (26 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)
4. "We must be connected to the vine. Relax. Abide. Abide." [01:17:57] (57 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)
5. "The ultimate objective is our life in our life is so that God is, we'll get the glory. That is the objective of our life so that God will get the glory and God gets the glory when we prioritize him. When we set him as first above everything else that will get our eyes off of restoring and replenishing. Ourself, because that's what we like. Oh, I just got, I'm just trying to get myself full. I'm just trying to get me. No, no, no, no. When you in the overflow, it gets your eyes off of just restoring yourself. And now you can focus on restoring others."
