### Summary
Today, we conclude our series on "Whosoever," focusing on the transformative power of evangelism and the importance of reaching out to the unbeliever. The central theme is derived from John 3:16, emphasizing that Jesus came for everyone, regardless of their background, ethnicity, or past. We are called to be roadways to Jesus, not isolated islands. The church must embrace evangelism and outreach, ensuring that we are not just inwardly focused but actively engaging with the community.
We discussed the story of the Samaritan woman at the well from John 4. Jesus intentionally went through Samaria, a place despised by Jews, to meet this woman. Despite her shame and societal rejection, Jesus engaged her in a transformative conversation. Her encounter with Jesus led her to share her testimony with her entire town, resulting in many coming to believe in Him. This story illustrates the power of personal testimony and the ripple effect it can have on others.
We also heard modern-day testimonies, including Joel Burton's story, highlighting how one encounter with Jesus can change not just an individual but their entire community. Joel's transformation led him to become an active leader in our church, demonstrating the importance of discipleship and community support.
Pastor Sam from Operation I Dream in Zambia shared about their mission to meet both the physical and spiritual needs of children. By providing food, clothing, and education, they open doors for sharing the gospel. This aligns with our call to go to the ends of the earth, fulfilling the Great Commission.
Our mission is clear: we are called to the whosoever. We must be intentional in our relationships and conversations, sharing the love of Christ through our actions and testimonies. Every life touched by God's grace can lead to a ripple effect of faith in action. Let's not just talk about going; let's actually go and bring hope to the hopeless.
### Key Takeaways
1. **Evangelism Beyond the Church Walls**: We must shift our focus from being inwardly centered to actively engaging with our community. The church should not be an isolated island but a pathway to Jesus. This means embracing evangelism and outreach, ensuring that we are not just celebrating our faith within the church but sharing it with those outside. [40:37]
2. **The Power of Personal Testimony**: The story of the Samaritan woman at the well shows how a single encounter with Jesus can transform a life and lead to a ripple effect of faith. Her testimony brought many in her town to believe in Jesus. This underscores the importance of sharing our personal experiences with Christ, as they can inspire and lead others to faith. [50:15]
3. **Inclusivity in Evangelism**: Jesus' intentional journey through Samaria, a place despised by Jews, to meet the Samaritan woman, teaches us that the gospel is for everyone. We are called to reach out to the marginalized, the overlooked, and those who feel unworthy. Our mission is to bring hope and light to every whosoever we encounter. [59:33]
4. **Community and Discipleship**: Joel Burton's story highlights the importance of community and discipleship in one's faith journey. His transformation was supported by continuous guidance and fellowship, which not only changed his life but also impacted his family and our church community. This demonstrates the power of walking alongside new believers and nurturing their faith. [01:08:54]
5. **Meeting Physical and Spiritual Needs**: Pastor Sam's work in Zambia illustrates how meeting physical needs can open doors for spiritual transformation. By providing food, clothing, and education, they create opportunities to share the gospel. This holistic approach to ministry aligns with our call to fulfill the Great Commission, reaching out to the whosoever with both practical help and the message of Jesus. [01:26:10]

Day 1: Evangelism Beyond the Church Walls
The church is called to be a pathway to Jesus, not an isolated island. This means that believers must actively engage with their community, sharing the love of Christ beyond the confines of the church building. Evangelism is not just about inviting people to church but about meeting them where they are, building relationships, and demonstrating the gospel through actions and words. The church should be a beacon of hope and a place where people can encounter Jesus through the lives of its members. [40:37]
Matthew 5:14-16 (ESV): "You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."
Reflection: Think of one person in your community who does not know Jesus. How can you intentionally build a relationship with them this week and share the love of Christ through your actions?
Day 2: The Power of Personal Testimony
The story of the Samaritan woman at the well illustrates the transformative power of a personal encounter with Jesus. Her testimony brought many in her town to believe in Him. Sharing personal experiences with Christ can inspire and lead others to faith. Each believer's story is unique and powerful, capable of creating a ripple effect that extends far beyond their immediate circle. [50:15]
1 Peter 3:15 (ESV): "But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect."
Reflection: Reflect on your own testimony. How has Jesus transformed your life? Think of a way to share your story with someone this week, whether through a conversation, social media, or another medium.
Day 3: Inclusivity in Evangelism
Jesus' intentional journey through Samaria to meet the Samaritan woman teaches that the gospel is for everyone, including the marginalized and overlooked. Believers are called to reach out to those who feel unworthy or rejected by society. The mission is to bring hope and light to every "whosoever" encountered, demonstrating that God's love knows no boundaries. [59:33]
Galatians 3:28 (ESV): "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus."
Reflection: Identify a group or individual in your community who may feel marginalized or overlooked. How can you extend Christ's love and inclusivity to them this week?
Day 4: Community and Discipleship
Joel Burton's story highlights the importance of community and discipleship in one's faith journey. Transformation is often supported by continuous guidance and fellowship. Walking alongside new believers and nurturing their faith can lead to profound changes in their lives and the broader community. Discipleship is about investing time and effort into helping others grow in their relationship with Christ. [01:08:54]
Hebrews 10:24-25 (ESV): "And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near."
Reflection: Think of a new believer or someone struggling in their faith. How can you support and encourage them this week? Consider reaching out to offer prayer, mentorship, or simply a listening ear.
Day 5: Meeting Physical and Spiritual Needs
Pastor Sam's work in Zambia illustrates how meeting physical needs can open doors for spiritual transformation. Providing food, clothing, and education creates opportunities to share the gospel. This holistic approach to ministry aligns with the call to fulfill the Great Commission, reaching out to the "whosoever" with both practical help and the message of Jesus. [01:26:10]
James 2:15-17 (ESV): "If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, 'Go in peace, be warmed and filled,' without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead."
Reflection: Consider a practical way you can meet the physical needs of someone in your community this week. How can this act of service open a door for sharing the gospel with them?
**Transcript:**
Us down. Some days can't see the light. I'm just praying we be found. No food, no light, no water. And that baby needs some shoes. Won't stop and we won't go. Can't quit till we let y'all know. Ay, this love and peace I found, it never ends and it won't come down. Ay, I had a great idea. A world with no hate and no fear. All grace, love and all cheers. Families, hugs and no tears. Hey, let me just bask for a minute. Brand new with no windows tinted. Party in the street till the sun come get us. And tell the whole crew they can all come with us. And we ain't gotta lock the doors. And we don't need cops, of course. And we don't care about your skin. We just want an all out win. They tell me it's illogical. But anything is possible. If God be for us, we can overcome all obstacles. They say love covers a multitude of sins. So I'm here to put some love in. Tell a friend.
All right. Good morning, everybody. How we doing this morning? Oh, we could do better than that. How we doing this morning? Good, good, good, good, good, good. Well, I'm excited to see each and every one of you this morning. We have been in this series called the Whosoever. And we're closing the series this week. But it is my prayer and my desire that as a result of this series, we change the way that we see evangelism. We change the way that we see the unbeliever. Change the way that we see the whosoever. I really want us to be a church that is not only inwardly focused.
I got a chance to speak to the superintendent of the Assemblies of God for Northern California, Nevada a while back. And I asked him, I said, he travels all around the world to all these different churches and preaches. And he's over 4,000 ministers, over 2,000 churches. I said, what is the one thing? What is the one thing that you see as a problem for the church right now? That if it's not addressed, it's a problem that will hurt the church dramatically. And the one thing he told me, he said, the thing that I see most often is that churches have become an island in the community. They're islands. They're people who are in their own little habitat that they've created. And they stay in that habitat. They've created what we call little Christian ghettos that they've come together. And they're only there, right? And that's it. They don't go out. They stay in. They never look to the people who are out. And that is not what the church was created for. We were created to be roadways and pathways to Jesus, not islands. That if you're good enough, you get to make it onto the island. That's not what it is.
And so I pray that we would be a church that would embrace evangelism. That would embrace outreach and would embrace the unbeliever. And that this church would grow. Because we went out and did the work Monday through Saturday. And we saw the fruit on Sunday. Amen?
All right. Before I get in, before I dive in, quick. I have one of two things this week. Ladies, can I hear you make some noise? Ladies, for once, I want to tell y'all that that was amazing. That was not great, okay? Usually, y'all are on it and I have nothing to say. But this time, y'all was kind of like, so I'm going to try it again. All right? Ladies, can you make some noise? All right. Well, I am excited for you, ladies. Because we actually have a one-day conference that's coming up for you. It is called Going Beyond. And it is a simulcast that's hosted by Ms. Priscilla Shire. She is going to be hosting it. It is going to be a podcast. It will start at 9 a.m. on August the 24th. I already know how y'all do. So do me a favor and register. Okay? We want to know how many people are going to be there. It is going to be, I think it's from 9 to about 3. There's going to be lunch that's going to be provided for you. The worship is going to be amazing. We want to make sure that you ladies have an opportunity to continue to be together. I know y'all have been missing your Bible study. You have been missing the times that you are together. You have been missing the times that you are together. And so we wanted to create something or find something that we can get y'all together again because y'all would not leave me alone. So praise God. Pastor Sonya is excited about this opportunity for you ladies to come together. So the QR code is on the screen. You can sign up there. You can sign up outside. There's a QR code out there as well. We want you ladies to be a part of it. Again, this is going to be August the 24th. It is going to be at 9 a.m. And it is live. It 8 a.m. on the thing. We're going to go at 9 today. 9 a.m. But as it's coming up, my wife will be up here to give you some testimonies about it. We will have some stuff on social media about it to get you excited and get you ready to be there. So that is the one of my two. Let's pray and let's dive in.
Heavenly Father, thank you for the opportunity to be here. Thank you for your word. Thank you for allowing us to be here today, God. We are grateful for you and for your faithfulness in our life. Lord, we're here today to hear you. Your word is already anointed. So anoint our ears to hear your word and anoint our heart to be able to receive it today, God. Speak to us today. In Jesus' name.
So today we're closing our Whosoever series. And as I said, my goal and what my desire is that we rethink evangelism. Not just rethink evangelism, but rethink the way that we see the unbeliever. When we see them, I want us to change the way that we think when we see somebody who does not yet know Jesus. Rethink the way we see the whosoever. We said that this entire series over this past month has been about John 3:16. For God so loved the world that he gave his son that whosoever. That's no matter their ethnicity, financial, their background, their story, all of the things that they've gone through or are going through. Jesus is here for the whosoever. Talked about the necessity it is for us to spread the gospel. We said we can't be stingy with our Jesus. We can't be the island. We can't do that. We can't expect to have this wonderful experience with Jesus and yell and scream about how good God is and then go out and never tell anyone about him.
This is not planned, but that just makes me think of when you get in a relationship, and this has happened to me just once, but you're talking to somebody and then they don't want to tell nobody that you're talking to them. That's just me. It's like, oh yeah, we're dating. They're like, shh. I don't want anybody to know. Well, why you don't want to tell nobody? Uh, I just want to keep it between us. It's like, no. Are you ashamed of me? Because that's what Jesus is asking. Why is it if I'm so good, why haven't you told anyone? Because you'll tell them about the wonderful restaurant that you went to. You'll tell them about the wonderful experience you had at this store. You'll tell them about the places that you go to get your clothes, get your makeup, get your hair, get your nails, get all of that. You will tell the world. Not about Jesus. The one that died for you, nails in his hands and his feet, that looked down throughout eternity, saw your messed up self, and was like, I'm gonna die for you. I'm going to willingly put myself on the cross and die for you. It doesn't seem right that we would not tell people about him. We're called to go. We're called to tell people of the day and night difference 1 Peter says, that he has made in our life. We're called to tell them. And not just the people that we think deserve it. Not just the people that look like us. Not just the people that we think can benefit the kingdom of God. Not the people that you feel, oh, oh yeah, yeah, yeah. They deserve to know about Jesus. No, he says, whosoever. The ones that you don't feel deserve it. Those are the ones that need it. The ones that are the forgotten. The ones that are the looked down upon. Those are the ones who need to know Jesus. The world needs to know Jesus. We are called to the whosoever. That's anybody.
We said that God has a hope for the whosoever and that hope is Jesus. We said that he has a desire for the whosoever. We talked about how he said he is willing to lead the 99 for you. How he would search through the houses and all day and all night and then when he found the one he would rejoice for you. The whosoever. And then we said God has a need for the whosoever. We said that he has equipped us with a gift. There's something that he put in each and every one of us and each and everyone of them. Whether you know it or not or whether you see it or not, there is something that God has placed in them and he desires to use it for his glory. He desires to use it for his glory. He has a need for the whosoever. Last week we said that instead of being a problem for the whosoever, instead of being the reason that they don't want to come to Jesus, instead of being the reason that they don't like church, that they don't like church people, that they don't like Jesus, we should be the example and we should point them to the solution that is Jesus. That is what we're called to do.
Today I want to close talking about stories of the whosoever. Stories of the whosoever. Revelations chapter 12 speaks about this great battle that's happening and it's talking about Satan and some of it is talking about things that have happened and it's foreshadowing some things and it's talking about this great battle with the enemy. And it talks about the fact that there was a battle and that the enemy lost. And in verse 11 it talks about how they won. And verse 11 says that they overcame him by the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony. The word of their testimony. There was something powerful in what they communicated about what God had done for them, about what Jesus had done for them that allowed them to overcome the enemy.
Today we will hear stories from the whosoever about how one encounter with Jesus can change the lives of so many. One encounter with Jesus can turn a life upside down like never before. Stories from the whosoever. Let's begin. First I want to start at John chapter 4 and I'm going to start verse 1 and I'm going to go through verse 42. I'm not going to read it all but I want you to see what's happening here. John chapter 4 verse 1 and then I'm going to go through verse 7. So when the Lord learned that the Pharisees had been told that Jesus was making and baptizing more disciples than John, although Jesus himself was not baptizing but his disciples were, he left Judea and returned again to Galilee. Verse 4: Now he had to go through Samaria. This is important. He had to go through Samaria. He had to go through Samaria. So he arrived at a Samaritan town called Sychar near the tract of land that Jacob gave to his son Joseph. And Jacob's well was there. So Jesus, tired as he was from his journey, sat down by the well. It was then about the sixth hour, noon. Verse 7 says, Then a woman from Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, "Give me a drink."
Okay. So we see this story. Jesus going to this place. There was a reason that he said he had to go there. And he meets this woman. It says it was about the sixth hour or noon, the height of the day, that she went to draw water. The reason that she went at the height of the day was because she couldn't go in the morning when all the other women went. Because she was ashamed. She was ashamed of her life. She was ashamed of how her life had turned out. She was ashamed because she was living with a man and she was married previously several times and the man she was with she wasn't married to. So by all accounts she wasn't the most happiest or well thought of person in that community. So she went at the height of the day so that she wouldn't be embarrassed. So that she wouldn't hear them talking to her. So that she wouldn't be ridiculed for how she was living and all of the things that was going on. But at the height of the day, when she thought no one would be there, she encounters Jesus. He had to go to Samaria. He encounters Jesus and she begins to have a conversation with Jesus. And she had a couple quick one liners and she's going back and forth. But Jesus was ready for her. Jesus begins engaging in this conversation and he begins telling her things that there was no way that he would be able to know. And she perceives she says in the scripture, "I perceive that you are a prophet." And Jesus continues to have this conversation with her. And she realizes who he is and what happens and we pick the end of this conversation after Jesus finishes talking to this young lady here in verse 27.
Verse 27 says Jesus just as his disciples came and they were surprised to find him talking with a woman. Important. However, no one said, "What are you asking about? Why are you talking to her?" Then the woman left her water jar. Now she came up there to get water. She came up there in the middle of the day to get water. And it says she left her water jar and went into the city and began telling the people, "Come see a man who told me all the things that I have done. Can this be the Christ, the Messiah, the anointed one?" So the people left the city and were coming to him. So she has an encounter with Jesus. And the first thing she does is she begins to go and tell the people what Jesus has done in her life in that moment. She forgets about why she was there. Never mind that she then tracked all the way up there in the middle of the day with this to get water in the well. She drops it, runs back to the city to tell people about the encounter that she had with Jesus. So the disciples come up and the disciples say they were smart. They didn't want to ask Jesus because they knew they didn't want to ask. So they didn't ask what are you talking to her for? Or why are you talking to her? So they didn't ask that. But they come and they did ask. They said, "Jesus, you know, you sent us to get food. We got the food. Are you hungry?" And Jesus says, "No, I already ate." And they look around and they're like, "Well how? Because you sent us to get the food. So who brought the food and when did you eat?" And he says, "Nah. You missed it. You missed it. See my sufficiency or my fulfillment comes from doing the will of the Father. I'm eating food you don't even know about."
So as they're having this conversation the woman has gone and talked about this and gone to tell people. We pick it up in verse 39 and it says, "Now many Samaritans from that city believed in him and trusted him as Savior." Why? Because of what the woman said when she testified. Many Samaritans from that city believed in him and trusted in him because of what the woman said when she testified. Because of her testimony. Because she chose not to worry about her story. Not to worry about who she was. Not to worry that she was married and she was living with somebody else and she was down in the muck and she was talked about. Not to worry about that she went out and told them of the encounter that she had with Jesus. And as a result of them knowing who she was and who she is now, many came to know him and trusted in him as Savior. See, you worried about your story. You worried about your past. You worried about what they gonna say. Try not to get in trouble. They came. Many came to know him. Testified. He told me all the things that I have done.
So when the Samaritans came to Jesus, they asked him to remain with them and he stayed there two days. Many more believed in him with a deep abiding trust because of his word, because of his personal message to them. And then they told the woman, "We no longer believe just because of what you said, for now we have heard him for ourselves and know with confident assurance that this one is truly the Savior of all the world." She said, "I loved your story and I believed. I believed because of what you said, but now I know him for myself. Now I heard it for myself. Now I've had an encounter with him for myself." Verse 2 said he had to go through Samaria. He had to go through Samaria. Why did he have to go through Samaria? Because he didn't. Jesus ain't got to do nothing. But the word says he had to go through Samaria. Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? See, Samaria was a place that was looked down upon. It was a place that no Jew wanted to go through. They could save their journey by a day getting to Jerusalem, if they just went through Samaria. But they on purpose chose to never go through Samaria because they did not like the Samarians. They felt that they were less than. They felt that they didn't want anything to do with them because they married outside of the Jews. But Jesus said, "Yeah, yeah. Y'all know the ones that y'all look down on? The ones that you don't want nothing to do with? You know the ones that you look at sideways because of how they dress and how they walk and how they talk? He said, "Yeah, I must go see them. I must go to them. I must go through Samaria. Why? Because I am the God for the whosoever. I came to save that which was lost. You trying to be an island because you're found, but I came to save that which was lost." Because of that testimony, because of that, Jesus made a point to show us that he was the God of the whosoever. And because of that woman's testimony, the entire city got saved. The entire city got saved. Look at this. And they had an encounter with Jesus for themselves.
What would happen if you began to share your testimony with the whosoever? Then Jesus stays two days longer. Right here, we arguably see the first revival happening. Right here in this moment. Jesus is there two days longer. And they went from hearsay to experiential belief. All because of God got a hold of one Samaritan woman. He got a hold of one woman who was in her mess, who was in her muck, right in the middle of it. He got a hold of her and turned her life upside down. Right in that moment. And the great thing about Jesus is that just as he did to the Samaritan woman, he is doing the same today. He is finding people right in the midst of their mess. Right in the midst of their muck. Right in the midst of the stuff. And he is having and he is giving them an encounter that will change their life and the lives of everyone that they come in contact with. You know how I know? Because we have one right here in the audience with us.
My second story of the whosoever I want to share with you is of Joel Burton. Please pay attention to the screen. Can we make some noise for that? Yes, it is amazing to see what God can do and what He's doing right here in the life of our church. It is important that we share our testimonies because you never know what God is doing in the life of the person that's sitting right next to you. You never know their story. You never know what He has done. How did they overcome the enemy? They overcame Him by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony. So I continue to encourage you when you have the opportunity, when the Lord puts it on your heart, share what He's done. It's not about where you've been or what your past is, but it's how He brought you from that past and brought you from the darkness into His marvelous light.
Joel talked about just like the Samaritan woman, it wasn't just him. He had an encounter with Jesus and it ripple effect. It didn't just change him, it changed his life, changed the life of his kids, changed the life of his wife, his marriage. And whether you know it or not, it changed our life. It changed the life of this church. I remember hearing about Joel from Matt Dealin, Joel's come to Jesus moment. He encountered Matt Dealin and we know Matt is an amazing figure. And when he got you, he's right there with you. And I remember Matt telling me about Joel. I didn't even know who Joel was. He was like, "Man, this guy Joel, he's had a come to Jesus moment. He's getting baptized. I don't know who he is, but praise God for the man. He's getting baptized, praise God." But Matt continued to walk with Joel and he continued to do life with Joel to encourage him, to counsel him, to walk him through this newfound faith. What does this Jesus mean? What does it mean? They would be on calls in the morning time just talking and just going through and walking him through this. And he continues to do that to this day, being in community with Joel.
And we see the results of that. Joel is one of the leaders here at Limitless. He's in charge of our setup team. And so every morning when you see those tables out and those tents out, that's because Joel made sure that it was taken care of and did it here on the property. The reason that you don't know half of the stuff that be broke is because by the time you see it, Joel has already fixed it. Joel is here throughout the week. You know something as small as a creek on the door or a tile or air condition or something as big as our roof project that has just started. Joel has been making sure that this church is taken care of. He didn't just come to church. He didn't just sit here and just twiddle his thumbs. He said, "No, God has a need for me."
And how amazing is it that he has somebody, he continues to have somebody that walks with him, that cares about him, somebody willing to take time for the whosoever, willing to lend a hand, willing to be there for the whosoever. And that wasn't a problem. He wasn't the one that made Joel say, "If you're a Christian then I don't want to be that." He was an example pointing Joel to the solution constantly that is Jesus. It is amazing what can happen when we take time out for the whosoever. When we take time to love and care for the unbeliever, that we don't get caught up in ourselves, that we don't get caught up in our schedule, our time, our comfortability and oh you know I'm just so busy. Yeah right. But when we take time to care for the whosoever.
Romans 10 verse 14 is one of the scriptures that we opened this series with and it says, "But how will people call on him whom they've not believed? How will they believe in him who they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher or a messenger? And how will they preach unless they are commissioned and sent for that purpose? Just as it is written and forever remains written, how beautiful are the feet of those who bring the good news." How beautiful are the feet of those who bring the good news. We are the ones who have been sent. We are the ones who have been commissioned to go. We have to take that responsibility and do that, not take it. The great commission isn't optional. It's not something that we can choose to do or not to do. No, we were commissioned to do it. We have to go wherever the whosoever are, wherever they are and bring them Jesus to the ends of the earth to wherever that might be, to uncomfortable places to make sure that they encounter Jesus.
Whether it is through our testimony of what God has done, whether it is by our faith life lived out loud or maybe it's even fulfilling a natural need. We see someone who's hungry, we see someone who needs something and we take the opportunity to fulfill that natural need so that they can now be able to receive the spiritual need which is Jesus. Right in line with that, I want to hear our final whosoever story and I want to call up Pastor Sam from Operation I Dream in Zambia. Can we make some noise for Pastor Sam?
So Pastor Sam and his wife, they run Operation I Dream in Zambia and I had the privilege, most of you know, to go over there and experience what they're doing in Zambia and the kids. And I showed you guys the pictures and just the reality of what's going on. And I told you that if the Lord sent me, you know it's serious. And we got the opportunity to see that and we came together as a church and had opportunities to show into the things that are happening over there. But Pastor Sam, his wife, his daughter, his son, they are on the mission for the whosoever every day. They get the opportunity to minister practically to the whosoever. So Pastor Sam, thank you for joining us. Thank you for being here. Your wife, please introduce your... No, I'm not sure. 18, he just had a birthday. Thank you for allowing myself and the other pastors the opportunity to come and see what you guys have been doing there.
My first question, I talk to my leaders all the time and we talk about the why. Start with why. The why is important that people know what we do, but it is more important that they know why we do what we're doing. So for me, could you tell me the why behind Operation... and that is Operation I Dream? Yes, so give us a synopsis of what Operation I Dream is and what is it that you do. Amen, I love that.
So while I was there, as soon as we walked up, we walked into this area, the kids came and grabbed us and they're singing and we sit down and as we sit down the kids are talking to the kids and they're doing these performances. Another group is dancing and then you begin to tell us the story of some of the kids that were there. And so I have a picture of one of the kids and I would love for you to share with them the story that you shared with us about this child here. Amen. Earlier we talked about when I was here and I showed them the picture. I mentioned so many times about during the feeding program that I'm able to stand there and feed the kids. I remember getting the matzah and spilling some of the little beans into it and trying to scoop it up and making sure there was enough and I'm handing it to the kids and they're scooping and the kids are coming and coming and I'm seeing that. And I remembered speaking to your wife before you guys left. She told me just about the impact that a person of color has going there to be able to speak to people that look like you.
And I remember thinking about that and then seeing that and it was almost as if not only did that happen, but I was affected even more to see people that look like me going through that because I had no basis for that before. And as I'm feeding them, I'm like there's no way that I could leave here and do nothing because I have two sons that look just like this. Can't leave. I gotta do something. Talk to me about how providing a physical need like food, like clothes opens the door for the spiritual need to be met because you mentioned that there is a church on the property. I know that there's a pastor and a worship team that is also there that’s not just for them but for the community. Talk about how a physical need opens the door for the spiritual need. Last question, how or should I say what is the most important way that we can support the call of the whosoever in what you are doing in Zambia?
I talked to my godfather as soon as I got back from Zambia and I was like we have to do something. We have to do everything we can. Let's sell everything. We got to do it. We are going to shake up the city. I am going to call the president. I am calling everybody. And my dad is very good about calm down first. Let's rationally talk this through. And he is like you need to find out what sustainability looks like because you can get all the money in the world and you can keep sending money, but there has to be a way that they are sustained and what does that look like? And I was like I don't care about that. We need people to dig in their pockets and send the money. That's what we need. He is like that is good, but what else? What happens after that? What does sustainability look like? And so I begin to have that question. And so for me, what is the way that we can support you to a way that you get self-sustainability?
Can we make some noise for Pastor Sam? Pastor Sam has a table outside, so I would encourage you guys to consider child sponsorship. My wife and I have sponsored a child. Our church has sponsored a child. And I've spoken even to some of you already before we came and said how could we do that? And you have started to sponsor a child. It is important and we believe that it is a big deal and we can only imagine what it's going to look like a year from now when God continues to sustain their efforts and what it is that they're doing. So please go visit them on your way as you're leaving today as we further to complete and fulfill the mission of outreach and evangelism to Zambia. Amen. Thank you Pastor Sam. Thank you.
We are called to the whosoever. We are called to outreach and evangelism. That is our core values. We have core values here at Limitless and for those of you who have been here, thank you. For those of you who have been here any amount of time, you know that our acronym is POWER: practical understanding of the word of God and right next is outreach, worship, excellence, and rest. But it's number two for a reason because I believe that we will be a church that is not an island. We will be a church that will reach out to this community that we are called to the whosoever locally here and globally. Locally we have a vision and we've been working hard at it to complete the Limitless Life Center. It is our goal and our mission to minister throughout the week to middle schoolers and high schoolers to provide them a safe place to learn, to grow, and to encounter the love of God.
And the first step to seeing that life center being fulfilled, the first step to us making it towards there is we gotta get next door. We have to get into our church so that we can get out of these seats and out of this building so that our middle schoolers and high schoolers can encounter Jesus right here. That is the first step that we can begin to see change locally because instead of the kids praying and tagging up and doing all kinds of things, they can be here with a young adult, with somebody who cares about them and loves them that's able to walk with them through their life situations and the things that are happening. But first we gotta get next door. Globally we have already begun making impact through our partnership with Operation I Dream and Pastor Sam and his wife through our child sponsorships, through our giving. And today we have given over $9,000 to Operation I Dream because of your gifts to missions, because of what you did. This is what you did.
We've given to the iDream Mercy House so that they can expand that Mercy House to have room to be able to receive more kids who are in need. The iDream library, which we talked about earlier, the only library in the area so the kids have an opportunity to learn, to grow, to read books, to find out about the world around them. And then last week through a generous donation from one of our members here, we were able to finish the iDream solar project to now they will be able to have solar in the iDream station to help pump water, to help keep the refrigerator on, to do all of those things.
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, help people learn of me, believe in me, and obey my words, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is not something that we are suggested to do. It is something that we are commissioned to do. We are commissioned to go to the whosoever and each one of us has a whosoever that is in our life. Please remember God has a hope for the whosoever. He has a desire for the whosoever. He has a need for the whosoever. But he uses us to reach the whosoever. For God so loved the world that he gave his only son that whosoever believeth in him would not perish but have everlasting life. We are not called to just speak those words. We are called to embody the love of Christ in our actions.
The Samaritan woman at the well was in many ways in the very definition of the whosoever: overlooked, misunderstood, judged. Yet just like Joel, Jesus met her in her brokenness. Jesus met her right in the midst of it and transformed her life. And what did she do? She went out and shared that transformation with the entire town. That's what we are called to do. The gospel is for everyone, every ethnicity, every background, every color, every past. It is for every single person, every lost soul. Let's not just talk about going. Let's actually go. Let's actually go. Let's go to the forgotten. Let's go to the marginalized and those who feel unworthy and bring hope to the hopeless and bring light to the midst of darkness. That is what we are called to do. We have a mission and it is a beautiful one. We must be intentional in our relationships, intentional in our conversations and in our communities because God loves and desires the whosoever.
Every whosoever we encounter is a potential story of transformation. Every life touched by the grace of God can lead to a ripple effect of faith in action. We have a call and if you call this place home, you know what that call is. It is to live limitless and this is how we do it.
Heavenly Father, thank you for your word. Thank you for the stories that we've heard. Thank you for the woman at the well. Thank you for Joel. Thank you for Pastor Sam and his wife and his family for what they're doing. Thank you for showing us that we are called to the whosoever. God, I pray that you would stir up in our hearts like never before the call to go, not just talk about it but to be about it, the great commission that you've given us. Thank you Jesus. Thank you Jesus. Thank you Jesus. In your name we pray. Amen.
I'm going to have our offering team come forward at this time and again we get an opportunity to sow into vision and to sow into mission. There is a reason that we give and it's not because someone asked us to. It's not because we feel like, oh this is the part of the service where we give. No, we give because God has been good. We give because we are on mission. We give because there is a call and we are called to participate in it. We give because he has been good and continues to be good. We give because he first gave to us. We give because he provided us with the job, because he provided us with the breath, he provided us with so much and we get an opportunity to give back and say thank you Jesus. God, you've been so good, I gotta do something about it. God, you keep blessing me, I gotta do something about it. I can't just stand by, I gotta do something about it. But we give and just for the heart in which we give and I pray that that will be your heart today.
We have three opportunities for you to give: the QR code that's on the screen, in the seat pocket in front of you, just open the camera on your phone and point to it and you'll see give to Limitless Church. The envelopes will go by. If you're watching online, you can go to limitlesswoodland.com or you can text the word give to 833-879-0161. We get to give. We get the opportunity to give back when God has given us so much.
Heavenly Father, I thank you for this opportunity you've given us to sow into vision and to mission. We believe that our finances are resources and a seed. So we sow that seed on good ground today. And we command it to go and to grow and to multiply. Thank you for those that are giving today. Those that are giving out of just generosity, God, thank you for them. Those that only have a little bit, but they're choosing to give. God, I thank you for their sacrifice today that you would bless it. And those that don't have to give, but desire to give, I pray that you would bless their hearts, God. Bless them, God. Press down, shaking together and running over exceedingly and abundantly above all that they can ask or think. God, bless them. I thank you. I thank you for fulfilling the needs of this house, for fulfilling the vision that you've given us locally and globally to push the mission and the commission of Jesus Christ. Thank you for it. In Jesus' name, amen.
God bless you as you give. As the offering buckets splash, please stand and worship with us. And I know it's not much, but I have nothing else but for a king. Before you leave, I want to give you an opportunity. I don't want to assume you came here today and you know Jesus or you've made him Lord of your life. This whole sermon series, this whole thing is about the person that has yet to encounter Jesus. And if you are here today and you have not made Jesus Lord of your life, then this is you. You are the whosoever. And I just want to take this opportunity to tell you that God loves you. That God has a desire for you. That God cares for you. He has a need for you. So much that he sent his son to die so that he could be in relationship with you. You may think that you are insignificant. You may think that you are nothing. But to God, you are everything. And he wants to be in relationship with you.
He said, and he says that if you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth Jesus, you will be saved. To confess him as Lord, not just when emergencies happen, not just Easter and Christmas and New Year's, not just when times get hard, but you make him Lord of your life. That means leader. That means reign. That means king of your life. When you place him in the position that he is supposed to be in. When you come to the end of yourself and you recognize that you need a savior. And that savior is Jesus. So I'm going to have our altar team come forward at this time. And if you have not made him Lord of your life, Bible says today is the day of salvation. Not tomorrow. Not next week. Not next Sunday. Not the next time you come. Do not let the enemy snatch away the thing that will change your life forever. We've heard stories about how one encounter with Jesus flipped the life upside down. And not just that life, but the life of everyone around them.
So if you have not made Jesus Lord of your life, then today is your day. Don't let this day slip by. Don't let this moment slip by. I would love for you to take the opportunity to move from belief to confession. Our prayer team is down here with you. We would love to pray with you and walk you through this transformation. Bible says when one person comes to heaven, when one person comes to Jesus, all of heaven rejoices. All of heaven rejoices. There's a party with your name on it. Don't miss it. Secondly, if you're here today, and you say, you know what? I made Jesus Lord of my life. But I have not been living the life that lines up with that. And I want to recommit my life to Jesus. And we want to offer you that today too. So I know that I have not been walking the life like I should. And I want to make a 90-degree turn away from sin back to Jesus. If that's you today, here's the great news I have for you. Jesus is ready, willing, and able to receive you. He's just waiting. He's just waiting on you.
So if that's you today, our prayer team is here, ready. Make your way down here. Don't wait. Don't delay. This could be the thing that changes everything. This could be the thing that changes everything. But you have to make the decision. Hallelujah. If you're here today and you didn't get prayer early, and you need somebody just to stand in the gap with you, we would love to pray for you with that. We would love to pray for you with that as well. I pray that this series...
