Could you let us know why so that we can improve our ministry?
by Lighthouse Cathedral Church on Oct 06, 2025
From the very beginning, God established the principle that without the shedding of innocent blood, there is no forgiveness of sins. This truth, set in motion when God covered Adam and Eve after their fall, finds its fulfillment in Jesus Christ, whose sacrifice on the cross is the central message of the entire Bible. Through His love, God gave His only Son so that anyone who believes in Him can receive everlasting life, no matter their past. This is the heart of the gospel: Jesus died for the whole world, and His blood redeems all who come to Him in faith. [01:29:06]
John 3:16 (ESV)
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”
Reflection: What does it mean to you personally that Jesus’ sacrifice was for the whole world—including you? How does this truth shape the way you see yourself and others today?
There is a supernatural strength and fullness of joy found in the presence of God. When you enter into His presence, you are met with mercy, new grace, and help in your time of need. This joy is not dependent on circumstances but is a gift that refreshes, replenishes, and renews you, giving you the strength to keep moving forward no matter what you face. The joy of the Lord truly becomes your strength, empowering you to praise even when it’s a sacrifice. [23:00]
Psalm 16:11 (ESV)
“You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”
Reflection: When was the last time you truly experienced the joy of God’s presence? What can you do today to intentionally enter into His presence and receive His strength?
God calls us to give freely because we have freely received from Him. The principle of sowing and reaping, or the law of reciprocity, teaches that when you give generously—whether it’s your resources, encouragement, or love—it will return to you in ways you cannot even contain. Trusting God with your giving is an act of faith, and He promises to open the windows of heaven and pour out blessings when you honor Him with your tithes and offerings. [40:26]
Malachi 3:10 (ESV)
“Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the LORD of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.”
Reflection: Is there an area where you are holding back from giving freely—whether your time, resources, or encouragement? What step can you take today to trust God and give generously?
A little knowledge can be dangerous if not rooted in the whole counsel of God’s Word. It is vital to read and understand the Bible for yourself, seeking to grasp the full message and context rather than running with partial truths. God desires that you rightly divide the Word, understanding what He said to the original audience and how it applies to your life today. This protects you from deception and grounds your faith in truth. [01:24:42]
2 Timothy 2:15 (ESV)
“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.”
Reflection: Are there areas where you have relied on partial truths or secondhand knowledge of Scripture? How can you commit to deeper study and understanding of God’s Word this week?
There is a blessing in your praise, especially when it is a sacrifice. Even when your body is tired or your circumstances are difficult, choosing to praise God brings breakthrough and greater blessing. Praise is not just an expression of joy but an act of faith that pushes you through challenges and draws you closer to God’s heart. Whatever you do, keep pushing—your perseverance in praise will open doors and release God’s favor in your life. [48:41]
Hebrews 13:15 (ESV)
“Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name.”
Reflection: What is one area of your life where praise feels like a sacrifice right now? How can you choose to praise God in that area today, trusting Him for breakthrough?
Today, we gathered in the presence of God, grateful for the open invitation to come boldly before His throne and receive mercy, grace, and help in our time of need. There is a unique joy and supernatural strength found in God’s presence, and we are reminded that our praise, even when it is a sacrifice, brings forth blessings and renewal. We prayed for those who could not be with us, sending forth words of healing, deliverance, and encouragement, knowing that the prayers of the righteous are powerful and effective.
We reflected on the importance of speaking life, declaring that the power of life and death is in the tongue. Our words, when aligned with faith, have the ability to shape our reality and bring forth God’s promises. We also celebrated the law of reciprocity—freely we have received, so freely we give. This principle is not just about finances, but about living generously in every area, trusting that God will return blessings in ways we cannot contain.
The gift of longevity was celebrated through the lives of our elders, reminding us that long life is a biblical promise for those who honor God. Their testimonies serve as living proof of God’s faithfulness across generations. We also acknowledged the unique role each person plays in their family, as God sets the solitary in families for the betterment or the challenge of the whole, and we are called to embrace our place and purpose.
A call was made to pursue a deeper understanding of God’s Word. It is not enough to know a portion or to rely on secondhand knowledge; we must seek the whole counsel of Scripture, rightly dividing the Word and understanding its original context. This guards us against deception and partial truths, equipping us to live out our faith with wisdom and conviction.
Finally, we commemorated the Lord’s Supper, remembering that without the shedding of innocent blood, there is no remission of sin. From the garden to Calvary, God’s redemptive plan has always been about restoring us through the sacrifice of Jesus. As we partook together, we proclaimed the Lord’s death until He comes, celebrating the gift of salvation and the call to be born again, leaving behind our old ways and embracing new life in Christ.
Hebrews 4:16 (ESV) — > Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
2. Proverbs 18:21 (ESV)
> Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.
3. John 3:16 (ESV)
> For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
See, I've been in this way for a long time now. Seen a little this and I've seen a little that. One thing I know, the Holy Ghost, thank you. If that's your preference or Holy Spirit, you still talk about the same. One baby alone is often imitated, but he's never duplicated. Say that again. The Holy Ghost is often imitated, but he can never be duplicated. [00:35:51] (35 seconds) #HolyGhostUnique
Isn't it amazing, Sister Valerie, that verse is talking about paying your tithe and giving your offering. Isn't that amazing? He said, but if you try me there, I'll do something for you. I'll do something. I'll open the windows of heaven and pull you out a blessing that you won't even have room to contain. Oh and somebody said bless me with that one. I know that. But this is how freely you give. Freely you have received. Freely give. [00:39:59] (33 seconds) #FreelyGiveFreelyReceive
Can't nobody save you. That's right. Can't nobody make you get saved. Can't nobody even tell you you're saved if you don't know so yourself. Guess what? You still not saved. Cuz the first thing about salvation is it's a no sir. You would know it for yourself. Amen. [01:21:08] (25 seconds) #KnowYourSalvation
You can make the Bible say appear to say anything you want. But any subject you get on the Bible you need to read the whole subject, not a portion. That's called rightly dividing is the simple one. It's all throughout the Bible. [01:24:43] (25 seconds) #RightlyDivideTruth
Once you do that, first of all, before you try to interpret in your world today, you got to first understood what he was saying to the original people. The Bible was not written in America. This is not a westernized book. This Bible was written from the east, y'. All. Turkey, Iran ran a rat. That's where the church was. Go over there. In your library called the Customs and manners of Bible land. Everybody need that. They got many money going back or just pull it up on YouTube, see. See what he's talking about. They didn't dress like we dress. They didn't eat like we eat. They didn't talk like we talk. They had their own custom. So when he said something, he was talking to them, they understood what he was talking about. We may not we struggle because we. That's why you need a preacher, a pastor that's chosen by God so he can help you rightly divine. [01:26:27] (73 seconds) #ContextIsKey
``So God in mercy killed a innocent lamb. Innocent. And done nothing wrong. But he set the premise for the communion. Without the shedding of innocent blood, the guilty would not be forgiven. And that principle went all the way up to Jesus. When it got to Jesus, that's where we get the central verse of the entire Bible. If you want to know what the Bible really is about, just read John 3:16. For God so loved the world. That's us. That's all the Bible is about. It's about God's redemptive plan for mankind throughout the ages. And he so loved us that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth on him shall have everlasting life. And that's what we come to commemorate on today. [01:28:46] (64 seconds) #SacrificeForSalvation
Jesus died for the whole world. Say that again. He died for the whole world. And that's the gospel in a nutshell. Anybody and everybody. No matter what your sin lifestyle was, once you accept Jesus as your savior that you commemorate today you can say I once would was lost in sin. Whatever that lifestyle, they time to tell us you can be saved and still live your sin lifestyle. That's the devil is. Yes it is. Everybody that come to Jesus must come out of some sin lifestyle. Don't say it again. You must be born again. Amen. That's the beginning. Amen. [01:35:14] (50 seconds) #BornAgainNewLife
