Embracing the Armor of God Through Christ

by Derek The Duct Tape Man
on Nov 05, 2023

Hi tas, your chatbot for this sermon is being created and we'll email you at tashartze@gmail.com when it's ready

Thank you for going to my channel and watching my videos.

In this video, I'm going to show you what I use my costume for sometimes.

First, I'd like to show you a scripture:

Ephesians 6:13 - "Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand."

Ephesians 6:14 - "Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness."

Ephesians 6:15 - "And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace."

Ephesians 6:16 - "Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked."

Ephesians 6:17 - "And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God."

As I showed you, the armor of God is what I have here.

To back it up, I have John 8:32 - "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

This is my belt of truth, because as I showed you, truth sets us free.

Next is Matthew 6:33 - "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

This is my breastplate of righteousness.

Romans 10:15 - "And how shall they preach, except they be sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!"

This is my feet prepared for the gospel of peace.

Hebrews 11:1 - "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

This is my shield of faith.

Faith can do a lot of things, and it can withstand attacks from the enemy.

Titus 3:5 - "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost."

This is my helmet of salvation.

Salvation is very important, and it is what Jesus Christ gives us.

Hebrews 4:12 - "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."

This is my sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

This is our guide in life, and it gives us comfort, direction, and instructions.

All of these pieces of armor and the verses that back them up point to Jesus Christ.

God created us to love and be with Him forever, but we have all broken His rules.

Because of our sin, we can't be with God and must be separated from Him.

We must also die and go to a place called hell.

God does not want us to go to hell, so He sent Jesus Christ to Earth.

Jesus lived a life without sin and took the punishment for our sins by dying on the cross.

He rose again and is alive forevermore, which is for our salvation.

To have a relationship with God, we must admit we are sinners, believe Jesus died on the cross and rose again, and ask Him.

If we do this, we are on the way to heaven.

To put on the armor of God, we must put on Jesus Christ, be like Him, go to church, pray, tell others about Him, read the Bible, and live by it.
