Be Still: Trusting God's Active Presence in Waiting

by elizabethMo

Hi Emlyn, your chatbot for this sermon is being created and we'll email you at edhartze@gmail.com when it's ready

Hello wonderful and beautiful people!

Welcome back to my channel. Jesus loves you, yes He does!

I'm not sure who you are that is watching my channel today, but I need to let you know that Jesus loves you.

Today I'm going to be reading or talking about Psalm 46 and verse 10.

We all go through stuff every day, wherever we find ourselves. But the Word of God tells us in the book of Psalm 46 and verse 10, it says, "Be still and know that I am God."

He says, Psalm 46 is a passage where the psalmist declared that no matter what was happening around him, God was his refuge, his God.

We can wait on Him even amid chaos. God is still on the throne.

So, in whatever situation the psalmist found himself at that moment, he wrote the Psalm to reassure himself and to say it openly that God is with him.

This is the kind of faith that we should have as well. We should know that God is with us.

The Bible tells us that God never leaves us, neither does it forsake us.

You may not be in prison, I may not be in prison, but we might be inactive, we might be in limbo, we might be in between jobs, we might be in search of health or help or a house or a spouse or being infertile.

We might be in God's waiting room. If so, we need to know, we need to understand, we need to believe, we need to accept that while we are waiting, God is working.

While we are waiting, God is working.

None of my little videos sometimes, and she was talking about while we're waiting, you don't just sit down, put your hands like this and you're waiting.

While we are waiting, we're doing all the things as well, but we're waiting on God.

We have been perseverance, we are pushing what we want to what we want God to do, we're pushing it to Him.

Look at what Jesus said in John chapter 5 and verse 7. He says, "My Father is always at work, He never dwindles, His forms no, He never stops to work.

It takes no vacation and He rested on the seventh day of creation, not on the seventh day of every week, on the seventh day of creation, but He got back to work on the eighth day and has never stopped since then.

It hasn't stopped working, so God is working for you.

Be still and know that God is with you.

You can be glad because God is good, you can be still because God is active, you can rest because God is busy.

God works for Mary, the mother of Jesus. The angel told her that she would become pregnant.

Announcements said a tourist of essence in her heart, like how would I become pregnant, what would people think? Yes, God was working for her.

The Assurance I want you to know is that you will get through this waiting season, I will get through this waiting season, we all will get through this waiting season, we will all get through it.

So, are you in the season of waiting? Can you see God in your life?

Get still before the Lord, journal a prayer telling Him how you feel, ask Him to help you to trust that He's working on your behalf.

Remember while you're waiting on Jesus, while you're waiting for Him, it doesn't mean you don't do anything.

Your waiting. Waiting is not only when you start to pray.

For example, if you're waiting on code for a job that you need to do, you're not just writing applications, you're writing applications tailored to what they are asking you of.

Say a prayer to what is being required. If you have not got the qualifications, get back into school and get those applications done.

While you're getting those applications done, make sure you have the right requirements for the job.

As we are getting to the end of the middle part of 2023, if we have not gotten anything yet, let's keep at it and keep praying.

Don't stop praying and the Lord God Almighty will come through for us.

Remember to be still and know that God is the Lord, He never sleeps and He never slumbers.
