#HeSeeksYouToo
“Zacchaeus didn't know was the whole time that he was pressing to see Jesus, that Jesus made that stop just to see him. And Jesus making this stop today just to see you, just to see about you, just to find out what it is that you need from him. Two distinct movements, two distinct missions. You came here seeking the Lord, and he came here seeking you. Now”

#NothingToLoseEverythingToGain
“And so here is Zacchaeus saying, I don't care what it look like. Uh-huh. I'm already a outcast. already a outcast. Beverly done gave me the the signature that I need to wrap it up. he's already an outcast. And so what does you have to lose? People don't already walked out on you. People don't already ostracized. They talk about, what do you have to lose just to pursue God? What do you what else do you have to lose? You don't have nothing to lose you, but you got everything to gain when you get Jesus. Amen. Amen. And this is what happened. Zacchaeus is now in this tree.”

#StandOnGodsWord
“Be encouraged. Stand on what you know. And that is the word of God. For he is not a man that he should lie, nor the son of man that he should repent. Whatever God said he was gonna do for you, he is gonna do it. Healing is your portion. Deliverance is your portion. He will move in your situation. If you invoke him and call him in, he will do it. And today, we just bless that wonderful name of Jesus. There is no other name I know.”

#DesperateAndDetermined
“We find in this text a man by the name of Zacchaeus, who is both desperate and determined. Determined to do something that was beyond his natural capability and capacity, and that was to see Jesus. Desperate enough to see Jesus even if it meant going against protocol, religious customs, and tradition. Zacchaeus had made up in his mind he was going to see Jesus. Desperation is a powerful drug.”

#MeetTheJesusWhoHeals
“If you don't know the savior that we know, if you don't serve that Jesus that we all serve, here is your opportunity to get to know that Jesus, that Jesus that has preserved us, that Jesus that said that when we leave here in the by and by, that we will be with him. There'll be no more tears. There'll be no more sickness. There'll be no more sorrow. That Jesus, if you don't know that Jesus, here is your invitation. Here's your invitation to get to know him.”

#DesperationSparksAction
“It will make you do things and say things that you would never dream of doing and saying. Desperation will make a quiet person cry out. Desperation will make a reserved person act out. Desperation will beat pride out of the way. It would tear down walls and cause you to climb trees, and it will cause you to climb mountains. Desperation will make you say, I have got to see Jesus. But desperation will get you started, but determination is what keeps you moving. Zacchaeus was desperate enough to see Jesus, but he was determined enough to figure out a way how he was gonna do it. The crowd was in the way.”

#JesusPassesThroughJericho
“we see Jesus is on his way to Jerusalem, and he takes a route that passes through a town called Jericho. We remember Jericho, the walled city that Israel marched around seven times in silence, and then they shouted, and these great walls came down. You remember Jericho, the place where Rahab lived. Rahab, the woman with the questionable reputation, yet came into the fold because she made a choice to receive God. And here he is with Zacchaeus desperate and determined to pursue him.”

#HatedButSeekingJesus
“Yet Jesus and those with him are still trying to press and move through the crowd in Jericho. And now here we are in verse two with the man named Zacchaeus. The text tells us that he is rich. He is a tax collector. Some versions of the bible call him a chief publican, a Jewish tax collectors. They were hated. Mhmm. Hated in Israel, and considered traitors by their own people. Mhmm. Many of those tax collectors like Zacchaeus was dishonest, and they abused the system by taking too much money from the people. And the same Zacchaeus is now in the crowd, and he wants to see Jesus. But because he is a short man, to contend with a crowd. And being short in this instant, it worked for him, but it also worked against him. Mhmm.”
