#CreatorKnowsBest
“Jesus fulfilled the law and commandments and our salvation doesn't come through adherence to the law. Yet, faith in Jesus Christ but we still need to know. What's it mean to be a person of god? What's it mean to be a follower of Jesus? What does that look like? What is the moral heart of following Christ? Secondly, these are important for us to study and to to understand because the creator knows what's best for his creation. He knows what best fits the species. Right? If if you consider the 10 commandments, the manufacturer's instructions, this is how humanity operates best.”

#GodsHeartRevealed
“And then number three is because they reveal the nature and character of god. Up until this time, for the Israelites, they didn't really have a an understanding of who god was, but as as the Lord revealed the commandments, he began to reveal his heart. He began to reveal what's on his mind, what he desired for the people, and himself and his character. You shall have no other gods before me. Why? Because I'm a jealous God, and I made you, and I made you for me.”

#OrderedDesire
“``Something though I'm continually learning and not so much in those moments of parenting but as a reflect is as an adult, that's very easy to see those desires in my children. But that same drive, that same longing doesn't leave us in adulthood. It just takes on less glaring forms. If any of the commandments are ones we struggle with the most, it's this one. Because it's the most important one because desire is endless. And that's not in itself inherently wrong. I think that's actually part of our design. I'll get to that. But if we do not seek the right source of satisfaction for that desire, those desires will destroy us, And they'll destroy those around us. They will actually drain us, I believe, of the abundant life that Jesus speaks of when he says, I've come that you may have life and have it to the full. Because they become disordered and so does the pursuit of satisfaction to fulfill the desire.”
