#GodsNotFinished
“And so finally, Moses decides that God really means it. And though Moses thought, my life is over, sometimes we think my good options are behind. There's just not much pull. I'm about done. And then we discover that God's not finished with us yet. Because God sees differently than we do. Sometimes it seems kind of beyond doing, I don't even know how to do that, God, but I'll be with you and we'll find others. Well, that's just they're just gonna see any way, Moses would say. And God says, we'll find the way and I'll be with you.”

#ThinPlaces
“And sometimes it was in surprising places, but yet it was real. Because in that moment, there was a nearness and a power, simple power of the presence of God. You know, I'm so fascinated by this idea that the early Celtic Christians had. They talked a lot about what are called thin places. You know about this? You know, according to the Celts, heaven and earth were about a foot apart, in a few places, they were closer.”

#UnexpectedCalling
“You know, I sometimes wonder about Moses when he's out there watching sheep, which has gotta be like boring. And he thinks about his other life that could have been. I wonder what he thought about that. I don't know, but I think he knew that this is the end of the line for me, and this is what it's gonna be like. Sheep, more sheep, more sheep, more sheep. Except not always does God have the same ideas that we do.”
