### Quotes for Outreach

1. "If your worship is aimless, you will not grow in the grace and the glory of God. If your worship is coerced, you will grind your teeth. In resentment, or you'll dig in your hills of willpower and ultimately miss the rest in the joy of God's mercy. It matters how you worship, why you worship, whom you worship, and when you worship." It's finding contentment and gratitude in Him, regardless of your age. external circumstances see worship desires his words and his teachings it's acts of love and service it's the rejection of evil regardless of how the world slanders you it's life set apart for holiness in preparation and anticipation of our lord jesus christ to return." 3. "The goal of worship is not to feel the presence of god but to actually and humbly recognize that you are already in the presence of god if worship is about your feelings and your sensibilities then you have made worship about yourself but if worship is about his presence then your cup will overflow you will rejoice you will find joy you will feel the presence of god that's not the goal you will find joy always the feeling of joy in the presence of god." 4. "Repent and give it to him. Receive forgiveness and rest in the presence of the Holy Spirit in his consecrated temple. James chapter 4, 7-10 says, Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Be miserable and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Be humble. Humble yourselves before the Lord and he will exalt you." [22:51] (34 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

5. "Submit to God. Resist the devil. Be drawn near to God in his holy temple, which is you. Repent of your sin and mourn the fact that your sin requires Jesus' death. Remember, you are not God. Neither am I. Therefore, we should humble ourselves, bend our knee, lay prostrate before the throne. Because humility is submission to God. If we are to present ourselves as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God in worship, then we must submit to him in deference for his reverence." ### Quotes for Members

1. "We look to scripture to reveal the hand the heart and the mind of god through history allowing us to trust in his unchanging hand heart and mind today we look to scripture to understand our separation from god wrought by sin and rebellion and we see his persistent heart to restore us to him while also not denying righteous judgment it's in scripture that we read about jesus his divine claim to be the image of the invisible god and how he entered into our suffering to pay the price for our sin on the cross the cross and we read about his miraculous resurrection conquering death to give us eternal life by grace through faith in him." 2. "It matters how you worship in spirit and in truth. Repent. Submit. And earnestly be transformed by the renewing of your mind to discern God's will. Worship begins, it begins with your spirit's cleansing in the temple of God. It continues with your heart posture before the throne of God. Repent and submit. It's strengthened by your mind's renewal through active relationship with God, through prayer, study, and obedience to the gospel." [30:03] (42 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

3. "Our corporate worship will only go as deep as each one of us will go individually with God. Our corporate worship is strengthened not by the quality of music nor by the message but each of us sharing with one another what the Lord is revealing to us daily, iron sharpening iron. We don't come here on Sunday mornings in order to have our cups filled. That's a very common trope within modern Christianity that I need to come and just soak. I need to come and be filled. I need this time for me. We don't come here to have our cups filled. We come here in order to empty our cups for everyone else and in so doing, our souls are encouraged and our cups are refilled by the love that we share for God." 4. "Worship is sacrifice with repentance, submission with reverence and mutual support in relationship. That's what it means to worship God in spirit and in truth. Now I want to finish with this verse from Hebrews 13. We won't finish today with an altar call song as we normally do where we all stand and sing. Not because I don't value the intentional call to the altar. I do. But because we are all the temple of the Spirit of God. And our call to the altar to repent or to confess faith doesn't happen at the end of worship but at the beginning of worship. You don't receive the altar call. You live out the altar daily as living sacrifices holy and pleasing to God." [35:17] (57 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

5. "Come to the altar of your soul and meet the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ as living sacrifice offer a sacrifice of praise sacrifice of good works and love and a sacrifice of community as you share your worship of God with others. Submit to God hold your earthly spiritual authorities accountable to our submission to God and if we are found humble and genuine then know that it is our joy to care for you and lead you in worship and faithfulness. Be challenged therefore to remain at the altar to share your hearts and faith with one another to worship in spirit and in truth rejoice always pray constantly and give thanks in everything it matters very much how you worship why you worship and most of all who you worship."
