#WorshipIsGratefulHeart
“``Worship. So recognizing something as valuable enough to orient our whole life around, that's what we said last week worship is. And so this week, Jesus makes it practical for us. What is worship? It's a grateful heart, that's fully present and engaged with God. And it's an honest heart aligned with Jesus and his word. It's not a feeling you chase. It's not worship. It's not information that you're mastering. That's not worship. It's both. Together, this is Christian worship.”

#WorshipOrientsLife
“We can't worship if we don't really understand what worship is. Now we kind of started talking about that last Sunday. In fact, we put a definition on the screen. I'm gonna put it back up here, this morning. Here is the definition that we talked about. Worship is recognizing something as valuable enough to orient your attention, your affection, in fact, your whole life around it. Now what we talked about last Sunday is the only thing that really with that is God. Now we can and do worship something everyone worships. yet anything that tries to become what we build our life around other than God is going to create a hole in our heart and a lot of problems, in our life. Because the only thing worthy of building our entire life around, our entire attention, and our entire affection is God himself.”

#WorshipAlignedWithTruth
“So Jesus is saying that truth is not something that's my opinion. Truth is real. Truth is objective. There is a real truth and it's not something you decide based on whether you like it. Now here's where this matters for us today. Worship is more than what we just talked about. Worship is more than being present and engaged. Worship is being aligned with Jesus and with the word. K. Now what does that mean? K. Here's what worshiping in truth means. Worshiping in truth is to acknowledge Jesus is the one that we worship. And the word, the scripture, guides how we do that.”

#SpiritAndTruthTogether
“Now think about it this way. Spirit without truth is noise. truth without spirit is religion. And neither one of them is Christian. Okay. So let me say that again. Spirit without truth is noise, emotionalism. It happens on the other side of the planet with people who don't know anything about Jesus. But truth without spirit is simple obligation and religion in going through the motions. Christian worship is spirit truth and when they come together, this is what Christian worship”
