#EternityInOurHearts
“And so today, Ecclesiastes three eleven simply says this, that God has planted what? Eternity. Yeah, good. Eternity. God has planted eternity in the hearts of man. So every single person here in your heart, God has planted eternity in there. What this means is there is a part of your heart that will never be that will never be fulfilled by the finite things of this world. There is an eternity in your heart that will only ever be fulfilled by that which is eternal. And so our desires, while they are good, there's a part of our hearts that will only ever be satisfied by him who is eternal.”

#KnowJesusPersonally
“And I don't know where your heart is at, but maybe today your heart is far from God. Please hear me, church. I am not asking, do you go to church every Sunday? I'm not asking if you know about God. I'm asking right now, do you know what it is to live life with him as your savior? Do you know what it is to know the bread of life, to know the light of the world, to know the one who is the resurrection and the life?”

#JesusIsEnough
“Worship is not about ignoring the fact that we are desperate for God to move and do miracles in our life, but worship is refusing to make that need the center of what I bring to him. The center is reserved for him and him alone. It is only you, Jesus. Bless me or not, here is where you'll find me. Breakthrough or not, here is where you'll find me. I know you are good. I know you'll break through. I know you'll bless me. But whether or not here is where you'll find me because you are what I need. Okay.”

#JesusWordsOfLife
“Every person here, you may have a thousand reasons why your heart might have quietly withdrawn from Jesus. But I wanna say to you today these words that Peter share. Man, if I can be honest, family, I am an ordained minister. I still have those times when I don't understand this simply hurts too much. I don't know if I can take this. And at this moment, all I have to offer are these words. Who else? Who else has the words of life?”

#ChooseJesusAnyway
“I wonder this morning if there are people here whose hearts might have withdrawn a little bit from Jesus. And perhaps there is an invitation this morning. You don't understand but what Jesus isn't asking right now in that moment in scripture, he's not asking the disciples to fully understand what he's saying. He's simply saying, will you choose me anyway? Will you come anyway? Will you follow anyway? Will you trust me anyway?”

#SeekJesusNotSigns
“They were not seeking his truth. They were seeking his benefit. And the tragedy here is not disbelief. It's, I think, misdirected desire. The tragedy that's being that's being amplified as I read it is not that this crowd, were unbelieving. They believe Jesus could do the miracles, but their desire was more for the miracles than it was for him. Don't we sometimes approach our walk with Jesus like this? Don't we? Can we just be honest in church? Don't we sometimes do that?”

#SignsPointToJesus
“And so every time we see a sign in John, it is pointing. So when Jesus feeds the 5,000, that's a sign pointing to the fact that he is the bread of life. When we see the sign that Jesus raises Lazarus from the dead, that's a wonderful miracle. But more than that, it is a sign that Jesus is the resurrection and the life. When Jesus heals the blind, that is a wonderful miracle. But it's a sign that's meant to be pointing us to the fact that he is the light of the world. This is the point. And sometimes,”

#WorshipInAllSeasons
“Worship in all seasons. So is there an area of your life this morning morning where instead of meeting your need, Jesus is challenging your motives? there an area that instead of meeting your needs how you want it, when you want it, Jesus is saying, yeah, I could give you this, but do you actually believe that I am the source, that I love you, that with or without it you are enough, that with or without it you are still called and chosen? Is there an area? Because if there is, I might suggest that Jesus might be inviting you into this greater intimacy.”
