#NewHeartNewSpirit
“For those that are here today and you're like, man, what do I do with this life? What do I do? I know that I've sinned against God. I'm I'm ashamed of some of the things that I've done. I've I've walked the way that I've wanted to walk, but what do I do with that? The promise of the gospel is this, the power of the cross is this, is that Jesus died so that you wouldn't try to fix yourself. But the Bible says that he comes in and he makes all things new. In fact, he says I'm gonna put a new heart within you and a new spirit within you, and and you can't do that. I'm gonna do that.”

#NotByWorksButGrace
“I was, Renee and I were watching a movie the other night, and, we were we were sitting on the couch, and there was this one line in this movie, and this lady says this. She says, I've got a lot of red in my ledger, and I wanna make it right. And when she said that, I thought, this is the power of works, and it's a work based mentality that the world has. In a sense this, that some of us, we think that if I would do more good, it would outweigh the bad. But that's not how it works. We're all bad, and we need the cross of Jesus Christ. We need the blood of Jesus to wipe out all of our ledger. This is the truth of the gospel. So in this moment, we we we we're equating value. So in that that statement that she makes, I'm like, no. You don't understand. There's nothing that you can do to wipe out that ledger. Only Christ can do that for us. It's this idea”

#CrossExposesPretending
“We we we will put on something, we'll put on this pretentious idea or this notion that we are someone that we're not. And the cross actually destroys this in our life. It actually gets us to take all of our eyes. It exposes our pretending. And and what God wants us to do is realize that in light of the cross, we don't have to be something that we're not. We can actually be everything that God's intended for us. The the cross exposes our pretending because it reveals that no image we build and no religious performance will produce anything that can deal with the sin that we're actually dealing with. So,”
