“In all of scripture, he has one plan and one story. And so when we read this and we know, yeah, I actually haven't done this perfectly. Y'all, there is a perfect substitute for your sins. So if you feel guilt, if you feel shame, if you feel like, yeah, I have definitely not done a lot of those things. There's someone who died for you. There's someone who took that sin, took that shame, took that guilt, and went to the cross, took the wrath that you deserve from God, and forgives you. And so here's the call. Believe in Jesus.”

“Or even though I struggle with lust, I can watch whatever movie TV show I want. I'll be fine. Even though I struggle with gossip, I'm going to get coffee with some people who I know. All they do is talk trash about other people. The preacher says that's the way of a fool. And so don't get close, flee that temptation, fight that temptation, admit your weakness, and don't try to charm that snake or that sin because it'll end up biting you.”

“But once again, God is so powerful. Our God is so powerful that he uses the very thing he hates for his glory. That's wild and for our good because little did these foolish rulers know, the Romans and the Jews at the time, that this was the plan all along. This was the plan all along. They were playing right into his hand. Before creation and God's providence, Jesus was always going to come. He was always going to die on the cross for our sins, for all who would believe. Yeah. So we cannot overthrow God's plans.”
