51s
“``If you want the desire in your life for a perfect love to ever be satisfied, if you want to be healed, if you want your heart to be softened, then you have to look towards the ultimate act of love in itself. For we know that there was no greater love than this that Christ came down and gave his life for the world. In this act of love, he took our blame, our torture, shame, pain, and weight of all the sins that had came and all that were to come. And so it means it doesn't matter who you are or what you have done. This perfect, unconditional, constant, seeking, persevering love is available for you so long as you believe in him.”
37s
“If you feel that you're lost and you want to seek to know your purpose in your life and how to live it, revert back to the gospel. You've come back to the cross in your pursuit, and you'll understand the gospel and what it means for your life, what it meant when Christ took your sins upon the cross. And once you have that, then you already have the most crucial piece of wisdom that is out there. And in my eyes, if you understand the gospel, you understand what it means for you and what it means for the world, then you're already a theologian.”
65s
“And so I thought about it for a second, and I thought, I agree it's a good source of courage, but it isn't a lasting source of courage. You see, because as soon as you leave that gym, you go out into the world, and you're met with the fears and doubts of the day, you're just gonna forget that motivational quote. You know, forget the gym pump that you had. You know, eventually fade on, which kinda sucks because I really enjoy going to the gym too. I'm not a big guy, so I don't lift, like, super big weights. But even when I'm in there and I lift, I just for, like, a little split second, I was like, I do feel kinda invincible today. I I can't stand up to the things of this world. But as I said, no matter it's a motivational quote, no matter it's the gym pump that you receive, Anything in this world that you put your courage into that's not in God will eventually fade. It won't stand up to the fears of this world.”
69s
“I think it was that that's the moment where the fear really hit me. I had a lot of people ask me, especially when I had planned to go back for a year, if I was worried or if I was scared about this mission. And I told them no, mainly for their own sakes. once I realized that, don't think I could help myself. I just felt a little bit of fear. But the only thing that really got me through, that gave me the courage that I could go back and serve for an entire year is that the same god who would be with me was also with Daniel in the den of lions. It's through these comparisons that we find our biblical comparisons comparisons within our lives that we truly begin to understand how great God is and how big he is and how he has already overcome everything of this world. And that's how we are allowed a lasting courage.”
