#SameGodOldNew
“God led them, he fed them, he protected them, he disciplined them, he taught them, he stayed with them, and even when Israel failed, God remained faithful, and he carried them not because they were perfect, because they were his. So, learn from these old stories that the God of the Old Testament is still the same God of today. We see that the story of the disciples that despite he didn't deliver them from the tempest of that storm, he walked to them through the chaos, proving that he was God, showing that he was there, and he got on the boat with them and revealed to them that I am that I am. The same God from the old is the same God in the New Testament.”

#PromisesInProcess
“And so, what promises has God given you? We've talked about that in our sermons too. It's like, has made promises, he has given prophecies to some people, and maybe some have not seen those coming to fruition. So we have to ask the question, is there still something inside that God is working on before he brings us to that promise? He wasn't only preparing a place for Israel, he was preparing Israel for the place. He was forming and molding him them and making them who they needed to be. Because God is more interested in who we become more than how quickly we arrive.”

#FatherFormsChildren
“The wilderness was not evidence that God had stopped being their father, it was evidence that he was forming them as his children, as a loving father does. And maybe as a father, maybe, you know, know this is not a Father's Day sermon, but maybe as a father we failed at forming our kids properly. And maybe now there's a chance that I can just love all my grandchildren a little bit differently. The relationship I have with my grandchildren is so different than the ones I have with my kids. I I made mistakes. Maybe I can do a little better with those grandbabies. The father, he leads us, he provides for us, he corrects us, he forms us, and he carries us.”
