Day 1: From Broken Cisterns to Living Water

A life fractured by sin and circumstance cannot hold what it thirsts for. We dig wells of achievement, relationships, or distractions, yet our souls remain parched like cracked jars. God names this hollow ache—not to condemn, but to offer the endless flow of Christ’s presence. The woman at the well carried five failed marriages and shame, yet Jesus met her exact hunger with grace that fills every crevice. [53:07]

“For my people have committed two evils: they have forsaken me, the fountain of living waters, and hewed out cisterns for themselves, broken cisterns that can hold no water.”

Day 2: Surrendering the Fragments

Holy, holy, holy traces the progression of a soul from broken places to full surrender to a life set apart for God. The first holy, H O L E Y, pictures the human condition: wounded, divided, depleted, and full of holes. Grief, trauma, sickness, disappointment, divorce, loss, and failure can leave holes that were not always caused by personal sin. Sin and this fallen world leave every person short of the glory of God, like broken cisterns that cannot hold water.

Broken cisterns show why careers, relationships, human approval, accomplishments, and temporary things cannot fill an internal void. A person cannot pour peace into a broken container, plug personal leaks, or put personal pieces back together again. Trust in the Lord means submitting to Him in all ways instead of leaning on personal understanding.

The third holy, H O L Y, means set apart, consecrated, and reflective of God’s character. Holiness does not come through self-made moral superiority or working for God’s favor. Christ, who knew no sin, became sin so that those in Him might become the righteousness of God. Holiness comes from abiding in the Holy One and living from what Christ purchased at the cross. A holy life does not blend in with culture, because God is not a reflection of culture. Every hole can be brought to God, wholly surrendered to His care, so that He can restore, make whole, and set a life apart for His glory.
