#TrustIsPraise
“And so trust and praise are connected in a vital way, in this beautiful way. And I wrote it this way. Trust is praise expressed with our lives. Praise is trust expressed with our lips. Trust is praise expressed with our lives. How do you praise the Lord? By trusting him? By the way you live your life. By the way you respond to situations. By the way you humble yourself when you're corrected, by the way you go through hard times. It's a praise, but it's not meant to just stay within you. Praise is also trust expressed with your lips.”

#PraiseWhenAllFails
“Praise and hope converge here in this Psalm. Trust and hope converge. And praise is this declaration that every other source of my security and trust will come to an end, will reach its limit. But God is limitless. I can continue to lean into him and it's a declaration that when when the money runs out and the relationship isn't working the way I wanted, things aren't going the way I had hoped, God is still worthy of my praise. He is still worthy of my praise.”

#TrustNotOutcome
“Because if you if you if you wrestle with this idea that everything goes great if I trust God. Now, some some things do go great, and I will say life gets better. Will say living with the Lord with joy and peace and community of the people of God. It's way better than the alternative. But it's no guarantee that everything's just gonna be rosy your whole life. But here's the thing is, if if that's your perception of trust, you're actually not trusting in God, you're trusting in an outcome. You're trusting in an outcome. And, we gotta turn our trust towards the Lord. A biblical trust would actually say this, I don't know everything that will happen, but I know the character of the one whose hands I am placing my life into.”
