#NotAMadeUpJesus
“``A Jesus made in my image is not a Jesus that can save me from my sin. A Jesus made out of my preferences is not a Jesus that can save me from my sin. A Jesus made out of my opinions is not a Jesus that can save me from my sin. Hear me and hear me clearly. If I have a Jesus that never confronts me about my anger, never confronts me about my pride, never confronts me about my arrogance, never confronts me about my envy, never confronts me about my perversion. I have a Jesus I have created and that Jesus will walk with me hand in hand on a highway to hell.”

#WhoIsJesusToYou
“Do you believe certain facts about Jesus? That's not what he's asking. Do you attend church? That's not what he's asking. Do you appreciate his teachings? That's not what Jesus is asking. Do you consider yourself spiritual? That is not what Jesus is asking. He is asking who is Jesus to you? This is the question that we all have to answer. Watch. Let me theologically frame this appropriately. It it doesn't mean that you and I are free to decide who Jesus is as if who we want him to be. Jesus is never who we personally imagine him to be. The question is whether our personal confession agrees with his revealed identity.”

#GoodIsntGod
“This is what we have. He's calling him good and calling him good is not the same as calling him God. is what Jesus he identifies in us. Jesus can forgive me, but I don't want him to control my relationships. Jesus can comfort me, but not control my finances. Jesus can bless my family, but not, hear me, not challenge my priorities. Jesus can be my savior but I will determine whether or not he becomes my lord. Hear me and hear me clearly. A Jesus who never confronts you may be a Jesus you have created.”

#SurrenderDeterminesEternity
“Because eternity weighs in the balance. What you do for this blip on the radar called life determines eternity. Not based on your works. It's based on his work but my surrendering to his work. Not based on my good deeds, based on what he's already done. And the access he gives me, hear me to walk beside him. When Jesus touches what rules us, our response reveals who rules us. The young man walked away sorrowful. He was close to Jesus. The young man walked away sorrowful. He was loved by Jesus. The young man walked away sorrowful. He was invited by Jesus. But still walked away because Jesus was unwilling to accept second place in his life.”
