#HeRestoresMySoul
“``And this is the world we live in. Right? We all we all feel this. We know this. We experience this. And then you get to Psalm 23, the Psalm that we're in all summer. And in some respects, it's like this breath of fresh air that deep down inside we all long for. We long for this slower pace, more pastoral life where we get to just luxuriate in the slowness. That's what we see in Psalm 23, especially when we get to verse three. Psalm 23 verse three. We said it just a little bit ago, but it is this is how it goes is that he restores my soul.”

#RestIsPurpose
“Right? We we take rest as we see it as like an interlude to life. It's like, oh, man. I'm working really hard. Okay. I'm gonna take this week off and I'm gonna go to the beach and then I'm gonna be charged back up. I'm gonna be recharged to go back to the office and work harder. That's how we view rest. But for the ancients, rest was the climax of living. That was the purpose. That's why you worked is so you could rest. That was its its point. This is what David is talking about. He's saying, You need to rest. You wanna have the soul restored. You need to rest. You've gotta find this space in your schedule, in your life, in your calendar.”

#OneDegreeMatters
“And you're saying to yourself, you're justifying what's not that bad. It's not that big of a deal. It's just a little bit off the path. I mean, it's just it's it's not like I'm robbing a convenience store or something. I mean, like, it's it's just it's just a little bit it's just a little bit off where I know I'm supposed to be. But the truth is one degree of divergence today can be miles a year from today. So maybe if you're flirting, as you get ready to take communion, maybe it's the opportunity to say, God, I gotta put that to bed.”

#ChooseHisPath
“You're you're a sheep, and he's the shepherd who leads you, who calls you and says, hey. Here's the way I want you to go. Live my way. Trust me. It's better. I know where the green pastures are. I know how to have that joy. I know how to live in a way without regret. I know how to I I know what it's gonna mean for you to have that fulfilled life that you dream of, but I'm not gonna make you. You have to choose. You have to choose to walk his path. It's up to you. You get to decide. Do you want happiness? Jesus says it's found in holiness, but you can reject that. You say, no. I'm gonna do what I want. I'm gonna fill every waking moment. I'm gonna go after all the things. I'm gonna do what I want. I'm gonna walk my own path. Jesus, okay. I'm not gonna make you. I'm just gonna call you.”
