When God Anoints: Embracing Divine Favor and Purpose

"When God remembers, just a quick reminder. I want you to know that God does not forget. God does not forget. The only thing he forgets is what? Your sins and your transgressions. He says, as far as the east is from the west, so have I put away your iniquities from me. God does not forget. In fact, the Bible goes as far as to say in Hebrew chapter 6 verse 10. He said, God is not unrighteous to forget your labor of love. So if you paraphrase that, it means that God remembers your labor, your labor, your sacrifices, your ministry." [01:07:41]

"When God remembers, he opens a new passage for you. Find that in, in Genesis chapter 8 verse 1. The Bible says that, and the Lord remembered Noah. When he remembered Noah, he brought him out of the ark. He had been there for over 40 days. The rain, I think one, they were there, the rain fell for 40 days, and then they were there for about another 40 days or 80 days until the waters abated. The Bible says that God remembered him. He brought him out. God will open a new passage for you in the name of Jesus Christ." [01:10:01]

"When God remembers, he delivers you. When God remembers you, he will deliver you. I pray for you today that the Lord God Almighty will remember you in the name of Jesus Christ. In Genesis 19, 29, the Bible says that God remembered Abraham and he delivered a lot. He remembered Abraham and he delivered a lot. He remembered Abraham and he delivered a lot. He remembered Abraham and he delivered a lot. May God remember the person that you are connected to. You know, it may be your parent. It may be a godly leader. It may be a godly friend." [01:11:47]

"The third thing that happens when God remembers is that he visits you. He pays you a visit. When God remembers you, he pays you a visit. It may be a theophany where God takes on human flesh. It may be supernatural. It may be by angelic. No, no, no. Let me pause here and say this to some of you. In Hebrews chapter 13, it said that I want you to remember to be nice to strangers. It said for by so doing, some people in the Old Testament, it said they were hospitable to angels without knowing that they were angels." [01:13:12]

"God will visit you sometimes using angelic visitation. He will use human form to visit you. And when you are nasty, you miss your moment of visitation. But that will not be your story in the name of Jesus Christ. In Genesis 21, the Bible says that, and the Lord remembered Sarah and visited her and gave her a child. May God remember you in the name of Jesus Christ. Today, very quickly, I want to talk on when God anoints, when God anoints, when God anoints. What is anointing? Anointing means the smearing of all. "When God, when God smears you, he pours all on you and you are smeared. You, you are, you are messed up. Your, your makeup, what, what, what, what are those? "It's symbolic of the Holy Spirit. The Bible says Isaiah chapter 10, verse 23, 7. Let's see that. I think in the New King James translation, in the, in the, yeah, yeah, that's good. It says, and it shall come to pass in that day that the burden, his burden shall be taken away from your shoulder and his yoke from around your neck. For what will happen? For the yoke shall be destroyed by what? By the oil, the anointing oil. The burden shall be lifted up and the yoke shall be destroyed. The yoke shall be destroyed by the anointing oil." [01:20:43]

"When the Spirit of God comes upon you, he breaks yokes. Glory to God. When the Spirit of God comes upon you, he breaks yoke and he also does something else. He empowers you to break the yoke Sometimes he breaks the yoke Directly Other times what does he do He empowers you to break the yoke That was what Jacob Told his son Esau His father Isaac told Esau He said that I have given your brother the blessing He said but when you become restless You will break the yoke Over your life May the spirit of God the anointing that will come upon you today." [01:23:43]

"Two things he will do One he will either break the yoke directly But even if he does not my friend you will be restless Until that yoke is broken In the name of Jesus Christ Hallelujah He said the yoke shall be broken By the anointing of all The daily refreshing of the Holy Spirit David puts it this way Psalm 23 verse 5 He said you anoint my head with All Daily refreshing You anoint my head with all It's a present continuous You anoint my head with all And my cup runs over It's a present thing God anoints your head with all Every single day." [01:26:28]

"How did Jesus say it? He said when you pray He said this Give us this day our Deliberate Every day There can be a fresh anointing for you Every day in the name of Jesus Christ Psalm 92 verse 10 Let's look at Psalm 92 verse 10 He said you make my horn like the horn of a unicorn He says you have exalted my horn like the horn of a unicorn And you have anointed me with fresh oil But my horn you have exalted like a wild ox Wild ox Other translations say like a unicorn He said I have been anointed with fresh oil." "Today the Lord will anoint you with fresh oil in the name of Jesus Christ So when the spirit of God comes on you He empowers you to break the yoke Or he breaks the yoke directly So three things happen when you're anointed Three things happen when God anoints you Are you with me brethren? Three things happen How many things? There may be more than three But I've just condensed it to three this morning Three things happen when God anoints you Number one It makes you a magnet It makes you attractive It makes you a magnet Look at 1 Samuel chapter 10 Verse 3." "For those of you who don't know the background Saul was just being anointed The king of Israel Samuel had anointed him And Samuel gave him instructions He said from now on you will go forward From now on when you get this anointing You will go forward Today my brother and my sister You will go forward in the name of Jesus Today you will not go backward in the name of Jesus Yesterday will never be your best day Yesterday will never be a better day for you And today will not be a better day than tomorrow From today by the anointing upon you You will go forward In the name of Jesus Christ." "So Paul, Saul told him And Samuel told him You will go forward From there you will come to the Terebith Tree of Tabor There are three men Going up to God at Bethel will meet you One will be carrying three young goats And the other will be carrying Three loaves of bread Another will be carrying A skin of wine Three men Carrying three loaves of bread So that means a loaf of bread for each person Isn't it? Am I correct? Good Verse 4 It says And they will greet you Somebody will greet you in the name of Jesus Christ It says And not only will they greet you They will give you two loaves of bread." "They will give you two loaves of bread We call that favor They will give you two loaves of bread Three minus two Is one for three people But you will be favored in the name of Jesus Christ So the one thing that happens to you When you receive the anointing Is that you become a magnet for favor You attract favor Doors will open for you in the name of Jesus Christ Look at 1 Samuel chapter 16 We just read 1 Samuel chapter 16 It says to us In verse 13 That David Was anointed In the presence Of his brothers And the spirit of the Lord Came upon David from that day forward." [01:39:00]

"So Samuel Arose and went to Ramah David was a shepherd boy Taking care of cattle But the moment the anointing came upon him Guess what A vacancy became available In the king's palace A vacancy became available And I don't want to believe that David was the only psalmist He was the only keyboard player He was the only guitarist In Judah There must have been others But look at what the Bible says Follow me If you have your Bible Those of you who come to church with your Bibles Digital Bible Or book Bible Verse 17 Saul said to his servants Provide me now a man who can play well And bring him to me." "And then one of his servants answered and said Look I have seen a son of Joseph The Bethlehemite Who is skillful in playing Glory to God My friends Just kill He's not wasted He's skillful in playing A mighty man of valor A man of war Prudent in speech A handsome guy And the Lord And the Lord is with him Ladies When you get to heaven Go check out David Because one of those guys Who the Bible says Was handsome Just go find out Just act as if you are passing by I said are you David? Oh sorry I was looking for I was looking for somebody else Okay A handsome guy." [01:44:56]

"He said therefore Saul sent messenger to Jesse And said Send me your son Who is with the sheep And Jesse took a donkey loaded with bread, a skin of wine, and a young goat and sent them by his son David. So David came to Saul and stood before him and he loved him greatly and he became his armor bearer. The anointing will make you a magnet in the name of Jesus Christ. Favor! When the anointing comes on you, a new position was opened, a vacancy was opened in the palace and David got there. Number two, the anointing bestows power on you." [01:47:12]

"What's the first thing the anointing does to you? Makes you a magnet. Magnet for favor. Number two, it bestows power on you. The anointing bestows power on you. Let's go back to Isaiah chapter 10 verse 27. Isaiah 10 27, it's on the screen. It shall come to pass in that day that his burden shall be what? Taken away from your shoulder and his yoke from your neck for the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing oil. The anointing will give you power. Jesus said it this way. He said, you shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost has come upon you." [01:49:35]

"That's a different power. Do not miss. But this is an anointing that gives you power for effective and efficient service. Judges chapter 15 Judges chapter 15 look at verse 14 to 15 He said, when he came to Leahy, talking about Samson, you can go back and read the whole of the story. In fact, Samson told Delilah in chapter 16 when she was trying to discover uncover the secret of his power. He said that he said, when you tie the locks of my hair he said, I will become like any other person. The anointing is God that make Samson what he was." [01:51:37]
