Day 2: Assurance in God's Promises
God's promises are fulfilled through faith, not our performance, offering us assurance and grace. The promise to Abraham and his descendants was realized through faith, underscoring that God's promises are based on His grace and power. This assurance invites us to rest in the certainty of God's faithfulness, knowing that our inheritance in His kingdom is secure through faith, not our own efforts. It encourages us to trust in God's promises, confident that His grace is sufficient for us.
Hebrews 6:17-18 (ESV): "So when God desired to show more convincingly to the heirs of the promise the unchangeable character of his purpose, he guaranteed it with an oath, so that by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us."
Reflection: What is one promise from God that you struggle to believe fully? How can you remind yourself of His faithfulness and grace in that area today?
