#MoneyAndFaith
“That's how the passage relates to us. If getting more becomes the goal, it starts to make decisions on how I'm gonna work, what I'm willing to give up, and the things that I'm willing to put off because of the things that I have. In verse twenty two and twenty three, Jesus uses the picture of a healthy eye and an evil eye. And in this passage about money, he's showing us how our attitude towards what we have affects our whole life. If money becomes too important to us, it keeps us from seeing what matters to God. And then in verse 24, he makes it clear, we cannot serve both God and money.”

#SavedByGrace
“And we need to understand why we're doing this. Ephesians tells us that we're saved by God's grace through faith. Salvation is a gift. We cannot earn it. We cannot take any credit for it. Paul says that we've been created in Christ Jesus to do good works. That's why we serve and obey what God has done for us. Jesus died for our sins and rose again. Our hope is in him. Getting our schedules right, getting our decisions right, turning all this, like, making these changes, that's not gonna get us right with God.”

#BibleTransformation
“Notice where Paul starts. The the scripture points us to Jesus, and he shows us how to be saved through faith in him. And Paul explains how God's word helps us live. It teaches us what's true. It shows us where we're wrong, and it helps us get back on track. So when we open our Bibles and we take that time, we open it up. We need to be willing to change every time we open it up.”
