#BaptismNewLife
“So what is baptism? It's a picture of a watery grave. As the person goes underwater, they're showing united with Jesus by faith and his death. Their old life is gone in him. He paid for all their sins on the cross. They come up out of the water like coming out of a grave. They're raised to a whole new life with Christ.”

#SentLikeJesus
“As the father sent me, so I'm sending We're to we're to follow the path that Jesus laid before us. In other words, how did the father send the son? The son went into his everyday world. That's what we do. What did he do? Jesus went and he saw people. He he met them wherever they ended up. He loved them exactly as they were. He served them. He shared the truth of God's kingdom with them in ways they could understand and then respond to, to come home to a relationship with the father through him. That's the baton that he has passed on to you, to me, to us, and to every church. Yeah. You know, you can tell a lot about someone's attitude based on their body language. And so if you wanna know what Jesus' attitude is towards sinner, just look at his body language on the cross.”

#FamilyOnAMission
“they're gonna have a hand in baptizing the person behind them. Because when you come up out of the water and baptism, you're not just I'm in the family of God, I'm on the mission of God too because to the family of God belongs the mission of God. So whatever your age doesn't matter. When we're identifying with Jesus, we're joining we're identifying the family and the mission. And so we're gonna be doing that today, and we just could not be more excited. We're just glad great to see how God is calling us together to be a family on a mission of making disciples of Jesus. That's our heart. That's what we're inviting you into.”

#LooseConnectionCostsPower
“By the time we got home later on, when I tinkered around, I figured out what the problem was. Craziest thing. What was the problem? Here's what it was. The cable to the battery was just loosely connected. That was it. All the power of that amazing thousand cc motorcycle, all the capacity of that incredible machine meant nothing because of a loose connection. Turns out, friends, there's no power in a loose connection.”

#WindowToServeChildren
“So it's it's such a it's a opportune time. It's a window of opportunity. And so, again, we just wanna invite you to consider. If you look at the the the children's ministry part right there, you'll see that there are a couple of opportunities that you can look at. Maybe one of those may resonate with you. But why not take a moment, just prayerfully say, okay, Lord. If this is something you want me to do, just, you know, indicate an area of interest, fill it out, turn it in, when we're done with our time, and we would love to follow-up with you. Because listen, who knows? Who knows? Maybe, just maybe, God wants to renew your faith as you help a child step into their own faith. That's right.”

#ChurchForTheBroken
“That seems to be a recurring theme. That's right. You don't have to have it all figured out. You don't have to be awesome. You just have to show up and say, I wanna be used by god. Now let me see your hands if you know someone who's been turned off to god because of a bad church experience. Anyone? Raise your hand. Maybe there's somebody here today that you're that one and you had that bad Let's just say first of all, we're sorry that you had that experience. We're not perfect people here.”

#FromStrangersToFamily
“yet to step into the family here at Vaughan Forest to to to be involved, to get connected. We pray even now, cards in our hand, that you would nudge those who need to serve to begin to identify a place to start. That you would nudge those who need to maybe even give financial. They would hear from you about where to start. But that each of us would hear whatever step you have for us that we might be able to lean into your family. Thank you for all the gifts that are here. Thank you for all the needs that are here. We know you have a a gift for every need. And we pray that you, God, would move us now from strangers to no longer being strangers, but fully functional members in your own family.”

#GiveWithYourChurch
“When you give with the local church, you open an account with God. It's exactly what the passage is saying. So let me ask you, have you opened your account with God yet to give with a local church to advancing gospel? That's right. So God God, first of all, he records it. Second of all, God rewards it. Notice he says, I don't seek the gift. I seek the profit that accrues to your account. Now don't let prosperity gospel, you know, noise up the truth of this passage. When you give and I give and we give together as a local church for the sake of the advance of the gospel, God blesses that in a super powerful way. That's right. And so the bottom line is here at Vaughan Forest, we have we have been”

#WelcomeHomeCard
“A home is full of life, and it's where family is. House is about a building, and home is all about belonging. And so today, we are laying out the welcome mat to show you how you can step into the family here at Vaughan Forest Church. So take out your notes. When you came in, you're gonna set a message notes. You can use those today. Or if you like, the seat back in front of me has a little tap circle. Tap your phone. Message notes will pop up. But what we really wanna highlight today is this little card right here that says welcome home. Each of you got one when you walk in the door. So if you have your physical card, we're gonna interact with this throughout our time.”

#TreatChurchLikeFamily
“Or if, again, you'll you prefer digital on the seat back in front of you, tap that circle. You will see the welcome home card within there, and you can fill it out digitally. But we're gonna be utilizing this today, so keep it in front of you. If you'd like a hard copy one and don't have one, if you slip your hand up in the air, one of our section hosts will get to you, or you could just use the digital one at the at the tap circle. Our big idea from the scriptures today that we really wanna camp around is this. Church feels like family when you treat it like family. That's right. Kinda stands to reason. Right? You treat it like a family, starts to feel like a family. Well, that's the call of God to us in scripture is to be not an event, but a family together.”

#HomeIsBelonging
“has a home. True or false? True. True. Some people, don't have a sense of belonging, though they have a house that they stay in. Belonging is a totally different thing. We all know the significance of home. In fact, you're so familiar with it. You could fill in the blank. Someone should fill in the blank. She'll be going nice and loud. We say stuff like there's no place like Home. We say home is where the Heart is. Bathroom is. I'm not using public bathroom. I'm gonna wait till I get home. How many of you wait till I'm just gonna ask you a break. Good point. How many of you when you walk in the door at home, you go, ah, home sweet home. You got it. You you understand. So so let me ask you, where do you call home?”
