#HoldTheLadder
“The world wants us to climb the ladder, the world wants us to gain more power, the world seeks after those things. Jesus says, get off the ladder. Hold the ladder for someone else. The world says, how many people can can I get into this church? How many people will will come and and be a part of of what we are doing here? And what Jesus says is how many people are you serving? Spiritual leadership is not about getting a big ground support beneath to help us climb higher. It's about supporting them and serving others.”

#ServeLikeJesus
“This is the heart of what it means to be a follower of Christ. This is the heart of the gospel. Jesus came not to be served but to serve others and to do so with a glad and and honest heart, to give of his life as a ransom for those who believe. He doesn't just tell us to sacrifice. He doesn't just say, this is what you should probably do. He sacrifices himself. He doesn't tell us to give and and and just say, this is the the the ways in which you should give. He leads and he shows and he gives of his own life.”

#FaithBeyondComfort
“It's easy to follow someone when they're going the direction that you want them to go. It's easy to follow someone when they're doing the things that you desire for them to do. It's easy to love a Jesus who is forgiving of others, who is providing for your needs. It is easy to to love a Jesus who heals the brokenness within us, who calms the storms of life, who answers our prayers. But what happens when Jesus calls of us to go somewhere you don't wanna go? What happens when Jesus leads us in a place that we'd rather run the opposite direction similar to Jonah?”

#MakeRoomForGod
“It's easy to pray, God, give me more of you. God, come and and and fill this place. God, be here with me. Sometimes we might need to pray to God, God remove and strip off the things in my life that are keeping me from you. Because these things in my life that are stopping me from seeking after you don't allow me to make room for you in my life.”

#TrustOverUnderstanding
“Listen to what God is saying in your life. We have the son of God. He's lived his life. He has shown us his examples. As patient and and and consistent as he is, we have this example of who God is that lived in our very own world. Listen to his words. Faith isn't always understanding everything about what Jesus is doing. Faith isn't always knowing exactly what scripture says and being able to implement every single thing into our lives. No. Faith is trusting in Jesus. Trusting that what he says is true enough to listen to them and change our lives as a result.”

#TakeUpYourCross
“Jesus turns to everyone and they're missing the idea behind what it means to be a follower of Christ. They're missing the idea that in order to be a follower of Christ, you have to give up who you are. You have to give up the things that you desire and seek after what Christ wants in your life. Jesus says, if any of you wants to be a follower, you must give up your own way, take up your own cross and follow me. This is what it means to be a disciple of him.”

#NotAboutMe
“But you take that deeper meaning in his in his realization of life, my response to him was, none of us are worthy. It's not about us, but we get the opportunity and the platform for people to come alongside to point them not to me, not because I'm such a great softball player or leader. No, I'm here because I'm a child of God. I'm here because my life was changed as a result of believing in Jesus. Faith isn't about being great, it's not about being on the pedestal. The first shall be last and the last shall be first.”

#ServeDontSeekStatus
“He asks of us to follow him. He asks of us to to lay down our lives, to to lay down our crosses, to pick up the things that we bear and just seek after him, take step after step following who he is. We see his disciples try and figure out who the best one is, who the most important one is, and Jesus says, no, you've missed the point. The most important people will be those who serve the world, who show them who I am.”
