45s
“Jesus teaches us that the life that he lived, the life and life to the fold, the same life that he offers us is a life that we live within a life. Have you ever heard that statement before? As Christians, we we've been offered a life that we live within a life. So in some sense, the world around us just goes on as normal. It may seem like nothing's changed, but within us, everything has changed. Our hearts have been transformed. They've been softened. They've been made new. Our minds have been transformed. We have been turned into a new creation.”

“Jokes aside, there are some rich symbolism in this passage about what God has come to do amongst his people. He is like new wine. And the scriptures tell us that new wine takes new wine skins. You can't put it in the old ones, they're robusted. And so in some sense to accept, receive, and follow Jesus, we've got to have a change of mind. We've got to have a a willingness to repent, to turn from the direction we've been going, and set our sights for a new direction.”
46s
“This subtleness in Jesus changing water into wine, some ways, reflects the the subtleness that will occur when Jesus returns someday. We still believe that. Right, church? That someday, Jesus is going to return. And all of us who have been following him, who we are, what we have been doing, it's gonna be revealed to the rest of the world. It's not that we're hiding who we are. It's not that we're not proclaiming and sharing who we are, but there is a sense in which the world doesn't recognize that we are the children of God. But there's coming a day when that will take place.”
