When we become self-centered, self-focused, concerned for ourselves, we take our eyes off of the source of light, and we begin to follow other thoughts, thoughts either our own thoughts, thoughts of the evil one, thoughts of evil spirits, and darkness begins to happen because we're divided in our hearts. [00:17:03]

Paul warns that walking in the futility of our minds leads to a darkened understanding and alienation from God. This happens when we allow our hearts to harden, losing sensitivity to God's presence and gifts. As a result, we may give ourselves over to desires that lead us further from God, corrupting the divine image within us. [00:20:39]

Walking in the light means you always do what is good. In every situation you face, how sweet would it be that your response is good? If your husband's having a bad day, your response is good to him. If your wife is having a bad day, your response is good. [00:26:32]

When we walk in the light, guess what we become? We become the light of the world. You are the light of the world. Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and what do they do? They glorify your Father because they recognize where the goodness comes from. [00:31:27]

The key to giving the scripture weight is our walk, how we walk. Isn't that what it says about the woman with the meek and quiet spirit? She is such a powerful example that says she's able to win her husband without a word. [00:38:09]

When we live in that kind of meekness and quietness and purity in the Holy Spirit, we will win people around us without a word. Our conduct will do it. We'll be able to speak as well, but we won't have to speak very much because actions speak louder than words. [00:39:29]

We are the body of Christ, and we need to walk in this kind of light and just encourage one another not to be discouraged. You know, let's hold one another to the standard to walk this way, you know, to just to bring honor and glory to our Lord Jesus Christ. [00:44:09]

When you walk in the light and manifest the fruit of the Spirit, Jesus will be honored in your patience, Jesus will be honored in your kindness, Jesus will be honored in your mercy, Jesus will be honored in your gentleness, Jesus will be honored in your helpfulness and your thoughtfulness. [00:42:50]

Paul said that to servants to the masters he said, let your conduct be so noble that it adorns the teaching of Christ with beauty. It's like it decorates the word with the beauty of your example as you live it out. That's the goal for us. [00:33:25]

To really see clearly, you have to come to God and look up and just say, reveal to me. Wouldn't that what David said, search me oh God, try me and know my thoughts, and see, see Lord if there be any wicked way in me. He's asking for light. [00:36:19]

When we walk with the Lord in the light of his word, what a glory he sheds on our way. When we do his good will, he abides with us still and with all who will trust and obey. I believe that the Lord would have us walk in this way as soon as we can. [00:42:50]

I want people to encounter genuine grace and spiritual life. I want them to have a chance to see some Christians are real, to the bone, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. They are not hypocrites, that we live what we say we believe. [00:38:09]
