“``What's Jesus saying? Jesus is saying if there's gonna be a resurrection, there's first of all gotta be a death. And without death, there can be no resurrection. He said except the corn of wheat fall to the ground and die, it's gonna be alone. Except I go to the cross. He says later, he's talking about the death that he's gonna die. If there's not gonna be a cross, if there's not gonna be a grave, there's not gonna be a throne. But if this seed falls and dies, it's gonna bring forth much fruit. He's saying if you love your life, you're gonna lose it. But if you lose your life for my sake, you're gonna find it. And not only find life here, you're gonna find life in eternity.”

“Because by the law is the knowledge of sin. The law wasn't made so you could keep it. The law was made so you could see that you need Jesus. So when Jesus came, you'd cry out and say, Jesus, save me. That's the gospel. The gospel is God doing for us what we could not do for ourselves in the person of Jesus when he died and rose again. And Jesus did everything for us.”
49s
“If anybody's gonna be my disciple, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. If you love your life, you're gonna lose it. But if you lose sight of your life for my sake and for the gospels, you're gonna find it. He's talking about dying to self. Why? Because if you never die to yourself, you're never gonna accomplish what God wants you to accomplish. You're never gonna go where God wants you to go. You're never gonna do what God wants you to do. I'm here to tell you too many people in the body of Christ sing this song. It's all about me Me. Me. It's all about me. And do you know what? You're a real small package.”
41s
“By the works of the law, no flesh will be justified. In fact, there were people who are blessed in the old testament there, but they weren't blessed because they performed well. They were blessed because they believe well. And he goes on, but if while we seek to be justified by Christ, in verse 17, we are also found sinners. This is what happens if you try to keep it by in your own strength by the law. Is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid. He's not trying to make you a better sinner. Trying to make you a saint.”
