Jesus offers a new road—one requiring courage to abandon old patterns. Sanctification begins when we stop excusing destructive habits and let God reroute us. This path demands honesty about where self-will leads and humility to accept Christ’s redirection. True freedom starts where our plans end. [28:55]

God’s will also requires walking, not just starting. Salvation is only the beginning. Religious activity is not the same thing as surrender. A person can carry a Bible, wear a cross, show up on Sunday, and still refuse God on Monday. God expects first place. A car, a relationship, a job, or personal plans can become idolatry when placed before him.

Jesus shows what surrender sounds like: “Not my will, but thine be done.” The cross was painful, but Jesus chose the Father’s will for the saving of souls.
