Transformation stands at the center of what God is doing in this house. The aim is not just to grow larger, add programs, or fill a room. The vision is to see lives transformed in Christ, families transformed, and the community transformed. Proverbs 29:18 gives the frame for that kind of movement: “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” Vision is not vague or mystical. Vision is mental sight, something seen clearly enough to move toward it.

The word “perish” carries a strong picture. Without vision, the very fabric of faith begins to unravel, and people become exposed on the battlefield. Isolation leaves believers separated from divine direction and from the community of faith that helps them grow. Vision gathers the house together, gives forward movement, and keeps the church from drifting, bobbing along, or merely treading water.

The past few years have been marked by intentional rebuilding. Community groups were launched. Five pillars were established: mission, worship, mercy, service, and the word. Bethesda Christian School began a new educational blueprint and saw major growth. Bethesda Español launched, with new Hispanic ministry and satellite campuses. Six language services now gather on Sundays, with more possibilities ahead, so the church can look like the community around it.

The word for the present season is “advance,” like an army marching toward victory. That advance is not about revival in the sense of trying to return to what once was. The assignment is transformation, moving forward into what has not yet been become. The next eight months are being treated as preparational, a season to make room for people who are not yet in the seats but need to encounter Christ.

A second Sunday service is being prepared for March because growth has reached practical ceilings in seating, parking, and children’s space. The 80% rule means that once a room, lot, or kids area reaches that level, growth stops. A second service will create space for young families, open up more opportunities for language services, and allow people to serve in one service and worship in another.

Renovation is part of transformation. A refreshed campus, updated auditorium, new seating, improved sound, LED wall, elevated choir, better online impact, and welcoming spaces are not ends in themselves. Every chair represents the possibility of a transformed life. The invitation is to “buy a seat” for someone not yet here, to make room for a family, a neighbor, or a person whose life may be changed by Christ.
