#EmmanuelPresence
“``As we prepare for this table, I want you to know this. Jesus didn't tell us just to try harder. It's just as Christians, let's just try to be harder. Instead, he said, I am with you. Adam and Eve in the garden, here is god's voice. Where are you? Because god longs to. He longs to be with you and so he says, in the promise in Isaiah and you shall call him Emmanuel. Which means God with us. God's heart is to be with us church. That's why he longs for you to spend time with him. In the mornings, afternoons, in the evenings, whenever you're going to have your devotions, spend time with him because he longs to be with us.”

#NeverLeavePromise
“He promises to be with us. For god said, I will never leave you or fail you. I will never abandon you. That's a promise. When you're hiding in your shame, when you're hiding in your fear, think of this verse. I will never fail you. I will never abandon you. And then think, what does Adam and Eve need to do? They need to repent. Say, I'm sorry. Say, lord, forgive me. Stand up in faith. Your promise is true”

#PromiseDefeatsEvil
“then, to the serpent, the promise. The promise to Eve, the promise through Isaiah goes back to this. Her offspring will crush your head. God says, I promise you serpent. Although you're going to bruise, strike his heel, I promise that you will cease to exist. That's a long way from Genesis chapter three. It's a long way from Isaiah chapter seven and all of a sudden, it takes time. It takes time for god's promises and we get impatient. We get impatient but god's promises are true.”

#WalkWithJesus
“Are you inviting him into your day in the morning instead of just a cursory meal? Are you inviting? Are you eating? Are you with him? Are you hiding in shame and he has to call your name and and you come out and say, blaming somebody else for the fact that you didn't spend time with him. Church, he doesn't just tell you to try harder. He says, I gotcha. I've forgiven you. Let's go on a walk.”

#TakeOwnership
“Blame, blame, blame. We live in fear. We live in shame and we then we use blame as an excuse. Stop blaming other people for the situations that you're in and take ownership. Admit to god, god, I am sorry. Imagine what would happen if Abraham, if Adam and Eve, not Abraham. If Adam and Eve would have said, god, I'm sorry. God, I I I repent. Imagine the freedom that they woulda had. Instead, yeah, instead they didn't do that. There's no indication that they repented of their sins.”

#FollowTheRescuer
“I think many of you are stuck in the cave and god has called you out to freedom. God has sent a rescuer in to rescue you but you want to ignore his voice. If you're watching online, you want to just stay there. You want to stay in your comfort area because you know it's predictable. You know what to expect. You know the room. You know the layout. And if you step out and you follow the rescuer, then you're going to go into the unknown.”

#GodCallsYourName
“Did god know where they were? Did god know? You know, they take a walk every afternoon. They take a walk at 05:00 and it's he's taking a walk. Adam, Eve, Adam, Eve, where are you? See, god, he, he, he absolutely knew where they were and he was waiting for them to come to him. God calls your name. I believe god politely calls your name but god will not grab you by the the throat and bring you to him. He won't.”

#DontHideInShame
“You're going to go to the place that you don't know and you might be asked to do something that you don't want to do and can you trust him? No. And so you'd rather stay in the cave. You'd rather stay in the darkness. Adam and Eve, what did they chose choose to do? They chose to hide themselves because of shame and they chose to disobey in the weight. See, they gave in to fear. Fear filled them. Read the passage and then they heard the voice of the lord and they were afraid. Why? Because they disobeyed.”
