The devil said to him if you are the son of God tell this stone to become bread and Jesus answered it is written man shall not live on bread alone the devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. [00:08:56] (17 seconds)

Lead us not into temptation. God does not tempt anyone. He does test. He allows testing to happen. Not so he knows. He doesn't tell us where we are, but so that we know where we are. [00:13:15] (14 seconds)

The first Adam, he was tested and he failed. And the second one is the one we're looking at today, the second Adam. Luke tells us that he's the second Adam. That's why there's that comparison in the genealogy, starting with Jesus and ending with Adam, the son of God. [00:17:21] (20 seconds)

Jesus, the son of God. First Adam, second Adam. And so the second Adam, Jesus is now in the wilderness, right on the verge of his earthly ministry. [00:18:03] (13 seconds)

He used God's word as the sword that it is to defeat the enemy, to vanquish him, to push him away so that he would have to be on offense instead of defense. [00:34:45] (15 seconds)

But we, you and I as Christian people, we are to live by every word that comes from the mouth of God. And that word is right here in our hands. This is the tool that protects us. [00:36:42] (15 seconds)
