Therefore, in Satan's view, his corruption is greater and he cries out for the glory that's due God. But the power isn't in Satan's ability to corrupt. From his first appearance in the garden to the final battle, he works to corrupt God's creation and persuade God's people to deny Jesus' name, Jesus' testimony, and Jesus' commands. A final word on the mark of the beast. It is known as the Gematria, a series of Roman numerals that add up to 666, and it is a reference to Nero Caesar. It spells his name. Now again, this does not mean that Nero was the Antichrist, that Nero was an archetype of the Antichrist who persecuted Christians and claimed to be God. Remember, revelation and the prophecy within is of what was, what is, and what will come.
