When the enemy comes in like a flood, it can feel overwhelming and relentless, but God promises to lift up a standard—a barrier, a beacon, a sign—against every attack. No matter how fierce the battle, the Spirit of the Lord Himself stands between you and the enemy, declaring that you are not alone and that His power is greater than any opposition. You are called to stand in faith, knowing that God’s anointing and presence are your defense, and to boldly declare, “Not today, devil!” as you trust in His victory over every scheme. [01:22:40]
Isaiah 59:19 (ESV):
“So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun; for he will come like a rushing stream, which the wind of the Lord drives. ‘When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.’”
Reflection: What is one area of your life where you feel overwhelmed by the enemy’s attacks? How can you declare God’s promise and trust Him to raise a standard for you today?
You are not a victim, but a victor, because the One who lives in you is greater than anything in this world. The enemy may try to intimidate, condemn, or discourage you, but your true identity is found in Christ, who has already overcome. Stand on the truth that the risen Savior dwells within you, empowering you to resist fear, condemnation, and every lie of the enemy. Let your confession be, “Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world,” and walk in the confidence of your victory. [01:34:04]
1 John 4:4 (ESV):
“Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”
Reflection: Where do you most often feel like a victim or less than enough? How can you remind yourself today that the greater One lives in you and walk in that victory?
Sin no longer has power over you because Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. You do not have to give in to temptation or live under the weight of guilt and shame. Through the blood of Jesus and the authority of His Word, you can say, “Not today, devil!” and walk in freedom. Remember, your victory over sin is not by your own strength, but by the finished work of Christ, who has already won the battle for you. [01:40:56]
1 John 3:8 (ESV):
“Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.”
Reflection: Is there a recurring sin or temptation where you feel powerless? What would it look like to claim Christ’s victory and take a practical step toward freedom today?
No matter what the enemy throws at you—sickness, fear, worry, condemnation, or lack—God declares that you are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves you. Even when you face impossibilities, God’s favor and restoration are at work in your life. Expect great victories, pursue total restoration, and believe that every weapon formed against you will not prosper. Let your faith rise up and declare, “Not today, devil!” as you step into the fullness of God’s promises. [01:49:23]
Romans 8:37 (ESV):
“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.”
Reflection: What is one impossibility or loss you are facing right now? How can you shift your mindset to expect God’s restoration and victory in that area today?
The enemy will try to attack you in many ways—through discouragement, offense, lack, or even the ordinary frustrations of life—but you have the authority to say, “Not today, devil!” Stand firm in your identity as a child of God, covered by the blood of Jesus, and expect blessings to chase you down. As you obey God and praise Him with a grateful heart, trust that He is turning your situation around and leading you into a new level of maturity and victory. [01:56:06]
Ephesians 6:10-11 (ESV):
“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.”
Reflection: What is one practical way you can stand firm in your God-given identity and authority today, especially when faced with discouragement or spiritual attack?
The enemy is relentless in his attacks, coming at us not just with sickness or obvious troubles, but with everyday annoyances, discouragement, and condemnation. Yet, God has equipped every believer with an anointing and spiritual armor to withstand these attacks. When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord raises a standard—a barrier, a beacon, a sign—against him. This is not just a poetic idea; it is a spiritual reality. The power that raised Christ from the dead lives in us, and that power is greater than anything the enemy can throw our way.
We are called to recognize the seriousness of the anointing and responsibility God has placed on us. Whether we serve in visible roles or behind the scenes, stepping up for God invites spiritual warfare. But we do not fight alone or in our own strength. God’s Spirit is our defense, and His Word is our weapon. The enemy tries to project fear, condemnation, and lies onto us, but we must respond with faith, declaring, “Not today, devil!” over every area of attack—sickness, fear, condemnation, sin, and anything else the enemy uses.
Our identity in Christ is not up for debate. We are not victims, but victors. The Word of God is a mirror, reflecting who we truly are, not just in church but in every moment of our lives. We are more than conquerors, not because of our own strength, but because Christ lives in us. The enemy’s accusations and attacks are powerless against the finished work of Jesus. We must stand together, supporting one another in prayer and faith, knowing that God’s promises are true and restoration is coming.
Every believer is called to declare God’s truth over their lives: that the favor of God is restoring what was stolen, that great victories are coming even in the face of impossibility, that the thief must restore sevenfold, and that we are the head and not the tail. As we obey and praise God with grateful hearts, He is turning our situations around and bringing complete restoration. We are not just recovering what was lost; we are moving to new levels of maturity and victory in Christ.
When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him. That means he will lift up a wall against him. And as I begin to study this out, I saw several different meanings that I thought was very, very interesting. And one is this. It says here, what does Isaiah mean? Okay? When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a barrier against him. In other words, that difficulty, that injustice, that situation that's coming in your life, it's going to feel overwhelming. It's going to feel like he's coming all sides. But God is lifting up a standard against him for you. Woman of God, man of God, God is lifting up a standard for you and me. Glory to God.

Because there's no way that I can battle that old devil in my own strength. I must have the anointing of God. I must have that deutimous power to overcome demonic activity. To pull down every stronghold. I do it through the blood of Jesus Christ. The body of Christ needs to get fed up with the attack of the enemy. We need to get serious and I know you are but I want to encourage you today. Get more violent. The kingdom of God takes it by force. You are anointed. You are anointed.

Not today, devil. I'm not a failure. I'm not a mistake. Not today, devil! Don't stop her. Let her sit all through the whole sermon. She's speaking prophetically. Don't make me run. The devil don't got this generation! Woo! Say it again. Say it again, sister. Not today. Not today! See, I might not get to all my points, but I don't care. My God. We got to preach outside the box sometimes. Not today, devil. Why? Because of Jesus. Because of the blood. We took communion. The body and the blood of Jesus. That's real. One drop of the blood of Jesus can wipe away anything and everything. Can I get a witness?

Greater is he. Greater is he. Greater is he. Greater is he that is in me than he that is in this world. Lord, my God. Point number one. Sickness? Not today. I said no. By the blood of Jesus, I'm healed. Not today. If I have to take this whole bottle and pour it on top of my head, not today, devil! Not today. Not today. I will not be discouraged today. You know what, devil? When I leave here today and get in my car, and you try to steal my joy? Not today, devil! If anybody wants to come up to me and try to steal my joy, not today, devil! Not today, devil! We need to laugh at the enemy.

Sin. Sin? Not today, devil. I don't have to practice sin. I don't have to give in to sin. Y 'all can sit down. Thank you. You're interfering with my sermon at. Not today, devil. That's it. You get it right. Say it till you get it right. Not today, devil. Not today, devil. What's the scripture say? Put that up there. Thank you, Christine. Is it Christine? Okay. Thank you, Chrissy. He that committed sin is of the devil. For the devil sins from the beginning. Elementary. Elementary. For this purpose, the Son of God was manifested that he might destroy the works of the devil. We need to take that word might out of the King James Bible and we need to put the word he did it. It's already done. Sin has no power over us anymore. Sin makes us think that we have to give in. No, devil. Not today. I don't have to.

We want you to see the identity of who you are in Christ Jesus. You're not a victim, you're a victor. I've got a message on that I wrote that several years ago. I'm tired of being a victim I want to be a victor in Christ Jesus and then God said on the inside of me you already are you just don't see it yet.
