#PresenceInTheFire
“``Jesus didn't show up until there was a fire. So god doesn't always stop fires from starting, but he does step into them. God doesn't always keep us from the fire, but he promises us his presence in the fire. Amen? God didn't start fires, but he does show up in them. He will ultimately show up. That's when Jesus showed up as the fourth man in the fire. Number four, how I respond in the trial is of the difference maker.”

#GrowthThroughPerseverance
“And I'm gonna prove faithful to God through this test, and can you continue to trust him? Come on. That he has my life in hand. I'm gonna persevere through this trial, and while I persevere through it, God is working in me, changing me, helping me to grow up. Come on. You get more mature when you go through trials. You start out when you go through your first trials whining, crying, complaining. Amen? Come on. The more you mature, you recognize, I know what this is all about. It is the trying of my faith.”

#FireproofTheologyNeeded
“And so number two is, if you're gonna walk through the fire, you gotta have a fireproof theology. You gotta understand what trials do, wild trials watch why trials come. So most people stop walking with god not because they didn't have an encounter with god in the first place. That's not it at all.”

#DiscoverGodThroughTrials
“So here's what I want you to realize from that verse. There are dimensions of god and depths of your relationship with god that you will never realize, come on, until you faithfully walk with God through the fires of life. Man, I've gotten to know God. Are you hearing me? And dimensions of him that I just did not know and faithfulness that I had never experienced. Come on. And things that he accomplished in me while I was going through the trial that never would've happened had things just continued to be good in my life. Have you ever noticed that you don't change a lot when things are good? You just think I'm doing good.”

#TestsRevealLearning
“When you were going to school, when were your teachers the most silent? Steve, you guys are teachers. When are you the most silent? Testing. It's not when you're learning. The teacher's talking. The Holy Spirit's talking to you. It's when you're going through the test that he is the most silent because now we're gonna see what you really have learned. Amen? Amen.”

#TheologyIsFoundation
“It's because they went through a fire and they didn't have a theology strong enough to carry them through the fire. Amen. They didn't have a fireproof theology. And again, theology is your understanding of the nature of God. It's your beliefs. It's your practices.”

#GodTurnsEvilToGood
“Because how many know he's gonna take that which the enemy means for evil, Genesis 50 verse 20? Yes. And he's gonna use it for good. The enemy wants to use it to undermine your faith. How many know God wants to do exactly the opposite? He wants to use it to build your faith, to make you strong in your faith.”

#GodWillDeliver
“I'm gonna have to give you these quick. Number three. Realize that the pressure always increases in the fire. What did Nebuchadnezzar do whenever they wouldn't bow? He heated the furnace seven times hotter. Everybody say seven times hotter. Seven times hotter. Man, the old the old enemy whenever anything goes wrong in our life, he gets behind that, and he tries to blow it up in our minds. Come on. Yeah. And make it bigger. What's he doing? He's heating the furnace, trying to put the pressure on as much pressure as he possibly can to get you to bend, to bow under the pressure.”
