You don’t have to earn God’s love. In a world that grades worth by output, Jesus meets you with a love that is full today, not someday. He is not waiting for you to clean up, level up, or measure up. His love is unmerited, unwavering, and offered right where you are. Receive it with an open heart, and let it redefine your worth. [57:17]
John 3:16–17: God loved the world in this way—He gave His only Son so that everyone who entrusts themselves to Him won’t be lost but will enter real, unending life. God didn’t send His Son to condemn the world, but to rescue it through Him.
Reflection: Where do you most feel the need to perform for love, and what would it look like this week to simply receive God’s love there without trying to earn it?
Before you ever reached for God, He reached for you. He moved first—stepping into our world in Jesus so you wouldn’t have to live afraid of rejection. You don’t need to approach Him with perfect words; you only need a sincere yes. Come as you are, because His invitation is already open and His heart is already turned toward you. Let His initiating love quiet your fear and steady your steps. [01:04:02]
1 John 4:9–10: God showed how much He loves us by sending His one and only Son into the world so we could have life through Him. Real love isn’t that we loved God first, but that He loved us and sent His Son to bear our sins.
Reflection: Where have you hesitated to say yes to God because of fear, and what simple step of response could you take today to trust that He’s already moved toward you?
The kingdom doesn’t run on merit; it runs on mercy. Chasing a badge of righteousness for approval only tightens pride’s grip and wears the soul thin. In Christ, your rescue is a gift, your cleansing is His work, and your identity is something you receive, not achieve. Let go of the scoreboard and rest in the new birth He has given you. You are held by grace from start to finish. [01:00:59]
Titus 3:4–5: When our Savior revealed His kindness and love, He saved us—not because we had done everything right, but because He is merciful. He washed away our sins and gave us a new beginning through the Holy Spirit.
Reflection: What is one specific way you’ve been trying to “prove” your standing with God, and how could you practice receiving your identity from Him instead this week?
This world rewards producing and proving, yet Jesus offers a different way—real rest that comes from trusting Him. Your body and mind were designed by God to need Sabbath rhythms, not as a luxury but as wisdom. Rest isn’t laziness; it’s faith expressed in time. Create space to breathe, to listen, and to remember who holds your future. Let your pace be set by His presence, not pressure. [55:44]
Matthew 11:28–30: Come to me, all who are worn out and carrying heavy loads, and I’ll give you rest. Walk with me and learn from me—I’m gentle and humble—and you’ll find rest deep within. The yoke I give fits well, and the load I give is light.
Reflection: Considering your current pace, what is one practical Sabbath practice (time block, tech break, quiet walk with God) you will intentionally schedule this week to make room for His rest?
At the Table we remember: His body given for us, His blood poured out for us. This new covenant isn’t a pause before judgment; it is the promise of forgiveness and a doorway into life with God. As you remember, let gratitude move you from the table into the world as His hands and feet. Carry His love to those who are weary, worried, or waiting for hope. What we receive freely, we freely share. [01:18:19]
Luke 22:19–20: He took bread, gave thanks, broke it, and said, “This is my body given for you; remember me whenever you eat it.” After supper He took the cup and said, “This cup is the new covenant, sealed with my blood, poured out for you.”
Reflection: Who is one person God is placing on your heart to serve this week, and what gentle, concrete action will you take to carry Christ’s love to them?
What a morning of worship and joy. I shared some exciting news about how God is accelerating our vision. Phase three is moving forward: a new, fully secured children’s wing that gives our littles a safe, well-designed space and provides age-specific classrooms for 4th–5th, younger grades, and nursery. Those doors will lock once service begins, check-in will be centralized, and restrooms will be inside the secured area. That move opens our current kids’ room to become the expanded youth chapel, solving the midweek capacity issues and creating room for significant growth. Through a surprising provision, we received a dollar-for-dollar matching grant up to $300,000, and $50,000 has already been given—instantly doubled. As we seek the Lord about giving, we’re not chasing a building; we’re making room for the next generation to encounter Jesus.
We then turned our hearts to Advent: Grace So Amazing, Love So Free. We often struggle to reconcile the natural and the spiritual. In the natural, time begins and ends; in God, time itself is His creation. In the natural, forgiveness, worth, grace, rest, security, and identity are earned, measured, or eventually exhausted; in Christ, they are given, anchored, and sustained. God’s forgiveness isn’t rationed; His grace is not a pause button before judgment but a gift in Jesus. Our worth is not performance-based but declared by the One who made us. Rest is not what we get after finishing; it is who we find when we trust. Identity is not achieved but received.
We anchored these truths in Scripture: John 3:16–17 declares the Father sent the Son not to condemn but to save; Romans 5:8 says He loved us while we were still sinners; Ephesians 2:4–5 and Titus 3:4–5 remind us salvation is by grace, not merit. And 1 John 4:9–10 shows that love moved first—God initiated, we respond. That’s why the love candle matters: love we cannot earn and cannot lose. I invited anyone far from God to say yes to that love today, and we came to the Table remembering Jesus’ body given and His blood poured out—the new covenant that doesn’t ask us to come perfect, only to come.
God already took the step and there are people living in sin walking in shame walking in hurt who are afraid to approach God because something in them is scared that they will be rejected and they dont even realize that God has already asked them Gods already called for them He already loves you Hes waiting for you to say yes He loves you first
